Great ambiance great food excellent professional staff .Take away also amazing excellent experience .

We have been coming here for many years and we have always been happy. However, we went on Friday and had a wake up call. The food quality was shocking. Onion Bhajis were really thick, floury and dry, and the meat stuffed mushrooms were made with old mushrooms. For many years I have had Salmon Shaslick, on Friday it was the worst salmon I have ever had. When it arrived it was completely black, you could bounce it, it was tough to cut. When I sent it back, the waiter acknowledged that he was surprised it was sent out of the kitchen like that. I didn't reorder the same dish, so I ordered a chum chum. The chicken was old, chewy and of poor quality. To top this off, the man on the next table to us was vaping, and there was clouds of smoke. When I brought it up with a waiter, he said management accept vaping in there and there was nothing they could do. I personally don't want to eat my food in a cloud of vape. We mentioned it to another waiter and he did speak to the person vaping. Very poor atmosphere, staff not great and absolutely I won't go again due to vaping being approved of. I also learnt that management has changed , and absolutely its very obvious.

Cracking food. Cracking service. Was a little rowdy for a restaurant, but that aside. Highly recommended.

Ordered takeaway for NYE. Food was outrageously tasty. All items were well cooked with great flavour. My partner was offered a complimentary beer on arrival, great touch for NYE. Pick up time was given on order and food was promptly avaliable on arrival. Good.portion sizes and great value for money with price reduced for pick up too. Be sure to order direct with Chennai. Will definitely be returning to try the in-house dining experience!

Polite and friendly. Good quality food. If you’ve ordered take away, double the time they told you. They have never not had me sat around for 15-20mins at least before the food is even ready to take out.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the North West (imo). Great food, friendly team, a warm welcome and comfortable modern layout. Good selection of dishes in which you can taste the difference in the different curry types (unlike some restaurants I have visited). 20% saving if ordering a takeaway. They have just added an app to their website which makes ordering easier, especially at the weekend when it gets busy. You can also specify a time slot. You might even get a free bottle or 2 of cobra depending on the order value. Give it a try, the best for miles around.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and we were looking for a good restaurant, the landlady recommended Chennai Indian restaurant. We turned up with out a booking. We were welcomed in and shown to a table by a very nice, cheerful and personable young man. He guided us through the menu warning us of the very very generous portions they serve. The food was fabulous, the service brilliant all in all a fantastic experience.😀😀👍👍

First time in Chennai this evening… by far the best Indian restaurant in the area. Food and service was excellent and some really original dishes.

Really good place to meet up with mates for a good curry. Nice cobra pints alongside. Mixed grill starter was excellent- particularly the lamb chop. Friend had the extended kebab dish - amazing burst of flavour. Went for chicken shashlik korai for main - loads of flavour. Cracking dish. Peshwari Naan also good. Service excellent throughout.

I couldn’t face another in-hotel meal and found this gem all of a 5 minute drive from my hotel. A warm, attentive welcome followed by a meaningful discussion about choices meant I had a really good meal. Swift service, well cooked food and at really good value prices - what’s not to like? Judging by the large number of locals eating and ordering takeaway, this place has a strong reputation beyond my one-off visit. Seek it out and enjoy!

Another fantastic night the guys are amazing

This is my fourth time here Dining with local friends and we all loved this place. Faz's Service is great as always. Pint of Kingfisher which is come from my state Goa India. Poppadoms and pickles were a great combination - we had great company. Garlic nan with lamb chops cooked in Indian-style gravy was delicious. Overall food was Full of flavour. Good chunks of well cooked meat. A bit of rice and a Peshwari naan was perfect. Lovely meal. The price is not too bad. Love to come back. Akhilesh Rocky. Goa India

I love this Indian restaurant. The is always great and the staff are so kind and attentive. I have been to a lot of Indians in Warrington and for me this is one of the best in Warrington easily!!

Brilliant menu choices with excellent service, the staff like to chat and socialise with the guests. We sometimes have to consider how many courses we should order because it’s quite easy to be tempted into lots of food. On the plus side they’re always happy to package up the excess for taking home and another meal at home 👍

Good crowd in for a Monday night for a friends birthday. Two families of 4 had a great evening. Service good throughout the night. Kept the kingfisher flowing. Poppadoms demolished pretty quickly. Starters were good. Wife loved her fish pakora. Mixed tikka was excellent. Tak tak chicken main was v tasty. Nice little tang to it. Loved the beans and broccoli in there. Peshwari naan v good. Wife’s chicken tikka also v good. Everyone satisfied at the end. A good evening.

We held a family 21st party here last night. The staff were fantastic, well organised and patient. Every food course was first class. The whole experience was excellent throughout. I would like to thank the guys for making my son's birthday that bit more special. Cheers

We pass this please every single day and kept saying to ourselves. We must try as it always busy. We read the reviews and thought definitely must pop in there. Well the day has arrived last Sunday. We booked a table last minute, without any problem. On entering, we were greeted and Shown to our table, but straight off noticed how cold it was. Never mind we thought as it was early it would warm up. been in a lot of other places, where the staff are a little more attentive. Anyhow, we are used placed placed our order and waited around 30 minutes for our starters, which arrived overcooked. Our main course duly arrived after a little wait. Hmmmmm plates were cold, Pesana lamb was in a tomato base sauce and should of been called Mutton, not lamb. Egg fried rice never seen an egg and was as dry as the Sahara. Not a great meal, and not a great atmosphere will not visit again.

Worst indian meal I have ever had. I ordered a chicken tikka sizzler it was not a sizzler at all and the chicken was really hard. Plus we had to wait one hour for our main meal and I had to ask the waiter where it was. I know it was busy but I think they had forgotten us. When eventually the main meal arrived it was only just warm. I will not be going back to this restaurant ever again.

Dined at this restaurant a few times, and the food is always delicious. The staff are always helpful, and I would recommend this venue to anyone who enjoys the highest quality Indian food.

Lovely place food was great and the service was brilliant. Only bug was we were sat in a corner trying to eat a family meal with screaming table off 4 kids behind us and then a big party of there adult on a long table about 18 who did nothing to tell the kids to stop fighting shouting and arguing. Would have been nicer to not be on that side off the restaurant.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. They always welcome us like old friends. The food has always been top quality, I have never had to complain about anything. If we dont eat out, we definitely use them for take away.

Been lots of times very disappointed with the food and service, 55 minutes after the poppadoms the mains arrived, nor very tasty and mine was dry, kept coming over to ask if we wanted more drinks probably to make us drunk so we didn't complain

Been to this restaurant on many occasions. Very disappointed tonight. Ordered king prawn delight £14.95 4 prawns overcooked. The rest was sauce Complained to the waiter. Nobody came back to address the problem. No apology or explanation. I know times are tough but come on.

Ate here on Tuesday with colleagues celebrating a 50th birthday. Welcomed upon arrival to find our table decor rated for the occasion. Staff very attentive, food was delicious and good value. I will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the staff for a brilliant evening.

Absolute favourite Indian in the NW. The staff are always really pleasant and welcoming, whether you're dining in or just picking up for takeaway. The food itself is INCREDIBLE, the variety of flavours and quality of the food makes a trip to Chennai an absolute treat.

My wife and two friends went for a meal on Fri 18 Feb 22. the food was excellent. At 10-15pm they requested a drink from the bar and were told that the bar was shut, so requested a coffee and were told the coffee machine had been turned off. This is a Friday night, there were eight other diners in the restaurant, the closing time for the restaurant is 11pm. Eventually the barman spoke to the manager who agreed to my wife's party having another drink. No one was made that the bar was closing closing at 10-15pm nor where any of the customers asked if they wanted another drink before the bar shut. My wife got the impression that the staff wanted to close up and go home. If you go and like a drink check what time the bar shuts.My wife and friends have been to Chennai a number of times and this is the first time this has happened, whether they will go again is questionable.

We rang up at 4pm asking to reserve a table for 2 at 6pm which we thought would be a struggle with it being valentines weekend however they were more than happy to accommodate us. We arrived at 6pm and waited a few minutes for them to prepare the table which wasn't a problem. We ordered poppadoms which were fresh and tasty. Followed by the chicken chat starter and the Chennai mixed starter, both tasted amazing, all the meat on the mixed starter was cooked perfectly. We then had chicken tikka karai and a lamb achari. I was feeling adventurous as I usually always order a bhuna but fancied something different. The waiter made some recommendations of special dishes on their menu based on our tastes which was nice. The curries were also tasty and we both really enjoyed our meals. The staff were all very friendly and provided brilliant customer service. It looked as though our bill didn't include all our drinks which we raised to staff and they revised the bill and thanked us for our honesty however we only realised when we left that there was then too much extra added on but we had already paid and left before we realised. However, we really enjoyed our night and food so wasn't too bothered about the extra charge. We have been here previously and also had great experiences on all previous visits, so I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an amazing Indian meal with great service.

Really great Indian, we have tried others in the area and none compare to Chennai’s. Chennai is amazing for takeaway and a sit in meal. The staff are lovely. 100% recommend trying here if you want a good Indian which is consistently amazing.

We have just celebrated my husband's 50th +1 due to lock down last year. This restaurant is amazing, the staff, service and the food were all fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, very attentive and flexable with the menu. We had the party menu which is very good value for money and highly recommended. All 16 people had a fabulous time, thankyou so much.

I'm temporarily in a wheelchair, the staff helped me in, and took us to our table, and from that point on, they couldn't do enough for us. Importantly, the food was amazing, as was the service. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Chennai to all my friends. Excellent!
