Cheese and Tomatin in Highland

Couldn’t get seated indoors so we ate a takeaway outside - service was nice and speedy. Also, a good selection of both Italian and local beers. Really tasty Neapolitan pizza - would return! Staff were also friendly :). Recommend the side salad.

Very quiet but friendly staff. Had the special which had a sauce made out of Cabbage with brisket and a meat feast. Enjoyed trying the special but prefered the meaty one. Nice chewy crust and lots of cheese.

Decided to visit due to very good reviews, can honestly say the visit exceeded expectations, a very warm greeting by a wonderful ambassador for the business, we decided to start with a bruschetta which was very tasty, lovely mix of balsamic glaze and fresh tomatoes on a perfect sourdough base, then came the pizzas best I’ve had for a very long time and very filling, I opted for the diavolo perfect mix of manchego and mozzarella with very good quality salami cannot fault it at all and my partner was equally satisfied by her selection of vegetarian delights, can honesty say any visit to Inverness would not be complete without a pop back in to this fabulous little restaurant, thank you to all 😊

Fantastic little place on Stephen's Brae, great atmosphere and great service. Ordered a haggis and black pudding pizza, which I was frankly quite sceptical about, but to my surprise it was absolutely amazing, both pizzas were! The desert was absurdly sweet but you can only expect that when you order a pizza covered in Biscoff spread and Nutella. The Tiramisu was fantastic, very akin to the type you get in Italy (not drowning in booze). Even if not ordering pizza, definitely worthwhile to visit just for coffee and desert.

I went to Inverness from London for one day and I have visited this restaurant. The food is exceptional! The pizza was the best I ever had in my whole life. The dough is sourdough and all the toppings are so fresh and tasty. Cooked to perfection. Also, the service we got from Angelina was excellent. She deserves to be praised. It is obvious she loves her job. She was very pleasant, attentive and professional.

The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends dining here! After a long day of traveling, we arrived at our hotel in Inverness fairly late and we were starving. While our stay had restaurants on site, we were with our toddler and in need of something a bit more informal. Pizza sounded like the perfect option. After some research, we decided to check out Cheese & Tomatin. Such a great choice! The inside is cozy and smells delicious. They have a great food and drink selection, and there is also a kids pizza option. Our server was great giving us recommendations. We were wanting something traditional, and something unique. She recommended the 4 Cheese Pickled Walnut Pizza. It sounded so strange, but we are open and willing to try new things. It was so delicious! Super cheesy, the perfect amount of blue cheese, and the walnuts were so different, and so addicting. Our Diavola was very greasy, but delicious, and the kids pepperoni pizza was perfect. The crust is so good! Thank you for opening up our taste buds! We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

I came here with my son during the October holidays in search of great pizza. And we both definitely found it, pizzas and starter garlic bread perfectly cooked and the service was very welcoming. It’s a cosy wee place but defo where you want to visit after some sightseeing around the city. And considering Inverness is filled with tourism the prices in this place don’t go along with it, we were fed and watered for a great price. You need to try this place

Refreshing visit- we were able to tuck in and take a load off after traveling and hustling a long day. It felt cozy, warm and welcoming. The server was very informative and provided great product recommendations. Loved the fresh side salad (the sundried tomatoes and olives made it practically its own meal) and the pizza was incredible! Very rustic, fresh, high quality. Not a crumb left!

Was here with a friend (on a Thursday in November) and it was great! They offer take away and sit in. We got a cozy table in the small, warm restaurant and a very friendly and helpful waitress. She recommended the Nduja Pizza and I loved it. My friend had the Pizza Diavola which for him was just the right amount of spicy with the extra chili oil they offer for free. We also had amazing garlic bread as a side. When I asked her about local whisky she gave a detailed recommendation too. We felt welcomed and will definitely come here again on our next vacation!

Wanted to visit for so long but was either not open on the nights we were in town or were busy. Well worth the wait. Delicious pizza!!!!

Best pizza I’ve had, north of the border

Maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had. Our waitress was lovely, and we didn’t wait long at all to get our food. The restaurant is very cozy and a great place to warm up from the cold. Cannot recommend enough and will be coming here again next time I’m in Inverness.

As an Italian, I was absolutely amazed. This is REALLY REALLY good Neapolitan pizza by Italian standard. Service was also really friendly. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

I’ve lived in the Highlands for 4 years, and can’t believe I’ve only just now stumbled across this gem. Quite possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had, and that is from someone whose had the chance to taste some of New York city’s highest rated pizzas in Bleecker Street. Prices are fair and the environment is intimate and welcoming. Even as a regular diner here you’ll never grow bored as they change their specials weekly. To say their selection is artisanal would be an understatement.

Must have pizza in Inverness! The pizza was out of this world amazing… and I’ve eaten pizza all over the world. The restaurant is small and warm. The service (especially Angie) was first class. From the bruschetta, to the Spiced Italiano mocktail (non-drinkers), to the pizza (I recommend the Mediterranean Medley), to the dessert (the tiramisu is made in house and soooo good), this place was legit a 5 star experience. We will definitely be back!

A good pizza for an Italian in Inverness

We had delicious pizza here for dinner. The traditionell oven gives it it's unique flavor. The service was fantastic! Even though we didn't book a table in advance, we were able to get a table. It is recommended to book a table! The place was really crowded!

Independent, cool and bloody delicious pizza 🍕. Wood fired flatbread pizza with yummy toppings. Enjoy with a dram or your regular tipple. Great low key service and actually happy to see a walk-in guest which is quite unusual in our experience. Well done ✅ to these cheesy boys & girls - Top 🎩 draw

Pizza dough not proofed/fermented correctly.

Tucked away on a uphill cobbled street , you might just miss it unless you are looking for it. Warm people and wildfire pizza so good that I had stop midway eating to click a pic, because the place deserved a good review. Must visit if you are looking for pizza around Inverness.

Great food, nice staff and Fast service.

Both our pizza were little soggy in the middle but tasty, Salad perfect, Aperol ok, but tapwater served allmost warm in the pitcher, had to ask for icecubes "on the side". Nice and attentive waitors.

Can be very busy. I've been here many times and would be 5 stars but sometimes the pizzas are slightly undercooked.

I had a very odd evening at the restaurant. Despite official closing time at 22 alredy around 21.15 i got the feeling that the staff wants everyone out. At 21.40 the waiters started taking out the rubbish etc...I had a feeling of being unwelcome. We left after the main meal without even thinking about dessert. On top of that the food... We had pizza and a shrimp entree. In an italian restaurant i was given coctail shrimp with a sauce of mayo and ketchup. I was blown away. The pizzaz were OK, although the tomato sauce vas not very good. Tasted as made of cheapest canned tomatos. I will definetely not come again. The interior was very cozy.

Well if it was a rating based on taste it would be higher. Maybe I need to be educated on what should be on a pizza but when you pay 15 pounds for one pizza and the topping is pretty thin it just didn't seem value for money at all. Can't fault the staff, friendly and efficient but overall experience was lacking.

Cheese & Tomatin is a wonderful little pizza restaurant, and a hidden gem on the edge of Inverness. The food is wonderful and full of flavor and the staff is happy to help and so attentive. I highly recommend stopping by if you want a quick and easy bite to eat.

Popped in here after my wife googled places to eat in Inverness. Food was delicious we got a half and half pizza pepperoni and shroom the service was perfect. If you like pizza this is the place to go to. Ian/Carolann

What an amazing find! I cannot recommend this hidden gem enough. The staff were so helpful, friendly and served you with a smile. The atmosphere was great and the smell of the pizza and garlic bread through the resturant was delicious when you are very hungry! The food was as delicious as it looks. I recommend trying both the mediterranean pizza and the tiramisu.

I ordered multiple times for take away online and via telephone. In case the website tells you they don't accept orders it's worth a call since they somehow had problems with this. The pizzas were very good and pickup was on time. Next time we're in town we will visit again

Special combinations on the pizzas make this pizzeria highly recommended. The slightly too thick base resulted in a one star less than 5 for us. By the way, the service is fine for a pizzeria.

I’m sure the pizzas are lovely as I’ve heard good things… However I wouldn’t even bother if looking for a takeaway lunch. I was passing through aviemore and wanted to support a local business rather than Tescos. Ordered a toastie which was bang average, hardly any cheese yet soaked in grease and it was £9!! Fair enough if I was sitting in but £9 for a takeaway toastie is absolutely wild. Additionally had to sit and listen to the staff moan about what an effort it is to make… Should have gone to Tescos!!

Top pizza. They were very nice, we pre-booked and they kept the restaurant open later than normal for our party as the rest of Inverness was shut for the off season. Good food, lots of options and the wine list was inviting.

Wonderful restaurant, staff go above and beyond to make your night memorable pizzas the best outside of Italy ,fabulous cocktails and drinks ,we had private room upstairs for 6 of us as it was a birthday celebration was really lovely having your own private space so comfortable just like being at home, will definitely be back again on next trip to Inverness

Best Pizza since i was in Pieza. Better than black isle. Had the Scotch (black pudding and haggis), Mrs had the mediterainian with nice olives. Food came out quick hot and fresh

Service was really good, thought the food definitely had room for improvement. With a price point similar to the Black Isle bar, I’d say save your night and go there instead.

The place has a really flat atmosphere, felt bored? Sitting in. Ordered the special, the "rustic" pizza which was £14.95, the dough was great but that's about it I'm afraid. It was not "rustic" at all. On the plus side, the man who was waiting us was very nice and looked after us.

the customer service, quality of pizza and ingredients was 5 star. however giving it a 3 star as the cheese on the pizza was immense. once the pizza is finished you feel like you will never feel hungry again and need to sleep immediately as you have probably consumed 7000 calories in 30minutes. but hey some people love crazy amounts of cheese on their pizza.

AMAZING!!! REAL soft sourdough pizza dough, with loads of flavor. Amazing fermentation and nice leapording on the crust! Great experience with a nice atmosphere. Hands down the best food I have had on our 2 week vacation. Well done guys!!
