Che Bar and Lounge in Croydon

Lovely music, top tier service really friendly staff. Great for peaceful vibes and great place to chill out and relax. 10/10 recommend!

Good food and shisha. Staff are very kind!

Set in three different spaces, the bar area, an area with soft sofas to sit and relax, but these were pushed back to create a dance area, then there is another area that looked like a shish smoking area? Not quite sure if that's right. Good decor throughout, staff friendly. The floors are very uneven throughout the different areas which are quite hazardous. Fortunately it was not crowded so I could see the different levels, but if it was packed you could have a nasty accident. All seemed to be on one level, with step down access, so should be fine for most disabled access.

Love the food, this place is a little undiscovered gem. Relaxed place, relaxed seating, relaxed eating and a relaxed atmosphere. Just a nice place to wind down and relax with food and Shisha.

Worst food ever tasted ., all left over food in fridge has been heated and sent ., all half cook and smelly stuffs ., wasted my money and don’t ever try this restaurant Lot of menu all

The place is not very, very dirty, the prices are too high, the food is edible, but I can’t tell you tasty, there are no people at all, a company came, the waiter allowed to turn on their music, turned on very loudly, I do not recommend this institution.

Loved the food, especially the boneless chicken leg with chips/rice. It's marinated and grilled perfectly. It's a must have whenever I get food delivered. The lamb kofta and shish are also really tasty. The portions are good and delivered timely. I highly recommend Che Restaurant/Bar & Lounge.

Amazing place to come to after lockdown restrictions were eased to have some drinks and food. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. We will definitely be coming back in the future

I have ordered from this restaurant 2 times and we really enjoy the food, especially the mix grill as it was really tasty and generous portion. Good packing and quick delivery. And we will go to dine in after lockdown.

Do not order from this place. I have been waiting 1hr 30 mins and still haven't received anything. They also don't pick up the phone when calling them. Awful experience

Wouldn’t recommend this place - the shisha was the worst I’ve had, very harsh and on multiple occasions we complained to them. When it came to paying no discount was offered to us regardless of them acknowledging that it was bad! Food was okay. The actual place is run down, very minimal heating outside and looks very different to the images on google!

I don't tend to leave reviews but the food was poor. Ordered a shawarma and it lacked taste, burnt parts and bread was awful. Potentially the worst food I've had. Not pleased.

I am a regular customer and I really enjoy the food. But today I received raw chicken and I was called a liar from the staff and asked to go and dig it out of the food bin after I threw it away as a proof, despite the fact that I had taken a picture of it and explained that. Mistakes happen but when they do, the staff should respect the customer and try to adress them in a right manner not saying after constantly interrupting " Well there is not anything we can really do about it, is it?!". I was not even asked if I would like for the order to be resend this time properly cooked. So disappointed with the customer service, will never order again because of the rude attitude i received when just trying to explain the situation.

First time ordering with them. Chicken shawarma wrap, the most awful thing I ever tried in my whole life. The bread was burnt, old chips inside the wrap, no salad at all and only few pieces of chicken in the entire wrap. Never again! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Surely a spot worth stopping by, the food is great and well prepared, the pricing is convenient and it is always neat there. 5 stars.

I have been ordering from Che on pretty much a weekly basis since I moved to Croydon 2.5 years ago. The food is amazing every time, even if I do order the same thing each time! We have recommended verbally to friends who now also order delivery regularly. It’s always my go to takeaway and it never disappoints!

I celebrated my nomination this evening in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a astonishing evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for this happy evening. The team helped in a very nice way, the meals were yummy and my guests were very delighted. We shall definitely come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Portions are definitely on the generous side (big thumbs up), without slacking off quality. Grilled chicken is tender and well seasoned, the lamb shish succulent and properly flamed; with accompanying sides, grilled halloumi (delicious, although hard to do badly), babaganoush (pungent and nicely smokey), and falafel (tasty and nicely crunchy outside, but a little chewy inside), there was plenty of leftovers to make a happy meal the next day.

Lovely place for after work or weekends, friendly staff and even allowed me to play my own music , great place , small and cosy, it’s definitely my local

Nice little gem hidden away...food is tasty service is great...bar staff are very friendly and catered to us well...shisha isn’t too expensive overall everything is fairly priced...great for a group of friends or quick getaway with the other half...eat, smoke and drink all in one comfy chair👌🏾

Portions are definitely on the generous side (big thumbs up), without slacking off quality. Grilled chicken is tender and well seasoned, the lamb shish succulent and properly flamed; with accompanying sides, grilled halloumi (delicious, although hard to do badly), babaganoush (pungent and nicely smokey), and falafel (tasty and nicely crunchy outside, but a little chewy inside), there was plenty of leftovers to make a happy meal the next day.

Nice spot for a late night drink, or just to chill with pumping reggae music and dancing. Downside, small dancefloor.

Like the place and the service the Shisha wasn’t good that much probably because the brand of the tobacco they are using

Good Al fakher shisha for £12, and mixed grill for £14. Soft drinks pricey at £2.

Arguably the best local option for it's target audience. You will receive a confidence inspiring welcome followed by diligent service at the bar and in the Shisha Lounge. Plenty of parking and attentive staff left a lasting impression.

The place doesn't look very nice but they have the best Lebanese food you can have in the UK Food is as Lebanese as the one you have in Lebanon... staff is super friendly and welcoming

We tried delivery - and, sorry to say, the first time will be the last. Received what tasted like leftovers reheated, not fresh at all. We didn't finish and half ended up in the bin. No digestive ill-effects appeared over the next few days, but still, very disappointing.

I love the Shisha watermelon and double apple flavour lasted for hours. The food is amazing and reasonable price.

Che Bar is beautiful. Niama my waitress was so pleasent and her service makes me wanna go back. I had to write about it because her customer service was off the chain. Nice food good place to relax with or without friends.

Great settings and good food. Naima who was on staff duty made sure everything ran smoothly and worked hard to do so. She was super nice and efficent and really made the place deserve these 5* stars. Will be back soon!

Well now, as soon as l walked in l was greeted by a lovely host, that I've now come to know as Naima. What a great little gem 💎 is! It's a beautiful family environment by day with delectable beverages and gorgeous tasty honest food. My special instant liking of this space, is the cleanliness. Where l eat the place has to be clean. Yep ,I'm a fuss pot, but life is too short and l must say, I've never seen a cleaner restroom. I was happy because that means the kitchen is super clean too. My cousin, as the one with the healthy appetite ordered food. Naturally l helped my self and every mouthful of chicken was well balanced in flavour , fresh in quality and juicy. The chips were fluffy and piping hot. Again Naima our host was a delight to behold as l thought GREAT customer was the last thing l expected to find here! What a delightful place I've discovered and can't wait to visit there during their nightlife because l here it's electric and positively lit !

Can't fault this place at all... the food is tasty and fresh, shisha is excellent and lasts for ages!! staff are very welcoming, fun, and really inviting. I am there with my friends and/or family at least twice a month.

We spent 10 mins trying to find our meat in the sandwich which was delivered cold. We also ordered a large bottle of Fanta only to receive a 330ml bottle. What kind of sick person makes a joke like that. Food wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t eat from this place again if it was the only option in the world.

I've been twice so far there - very nice atmosphere and friendly and welcoming staff. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I don't smoke but my friends love the shisha there and recommend it strongly. Parking is free at the back and the facility is super clean.

Just walked into this oasis on windmill road in Croydon, a real hidden gem with an amazing chef, Sam, who is recreating his Lebanese menu from his former restaurant in Wandsworth, falafel hot and fresh out off the frier, spicy halloumi that puts a smile on your face and that's just for starters. Atmosphere is excellent with big comfy sofas that wouldn't be out if place in a Gentleman's club In the heart of Soho and a laid back blues sound in the background and the occasional live Arabic music night On top of that out the back you can indulge in shisha pipes in the relaxed ambiance this bar offers Worth the trip to Croydon just to experience this stunning bar and restaurant, don't just take my word for it, come along and try it for your self, you won't be disappointed
