Decent place with plenty of tables even on a Saturday evening. Food was OK overall although we expected bit more indian masala looking at vegetarian choices. Ambience was OK but not a fine dining place. Also only takes cash Overall good place if you want indian food but not great if you are looking for a proper dining experience in a rest

Last night on dec 17 I went there and tried 12 items on food menu . Pastas , kullad pizza , fries , panner sandwich and what not . Each item was made fresh and so delicious. Can say this one thing ‘’ I was not missing India anymore “. Do VISIT

Ordered a channa bhatura to take out. No bhatura but only channa so ordered an onion kulcha that was dry no butter. No complimentary salad given with the meal and they only accepted cash but had no change 🤦🏽‍♂️. Channa was red hun colour and definitely red chillies added. No taste of channa or any other spice!

would have only given 1/2 star even that would be too much. Not very good restraunt portions are terrible. Gone down Hill since last been. Would never go to this restraunt again. plates were put in a pile infront of us and not infront of each person very rude staff too. Only had starter and left and paid high price, booked elsewhere. Wish i could cancel starter.

This is an excellent restaurant. The food is a good place to experience Southern Indian food. I must say I went there tonight and the food was even better and the service outstanding. This restaurant goes from better to even better. Absolutely marvelous. I went there again today and it still is outstanding. The service continues to be excellent and food is superb.

Based on reviews from here, we called in late on a Sunday evening. It was quiet and the staff made us feel very welcome. Nice drinks, great food, like really great food. It was tasty, flavoursome and not like your regular curry house. 10/10 would recommend

The lovely man who served us went over and above to ensure my elderly mother in law was comfortable and even gave her a pillow for her back when he noticed she was using her rolled up coat for support. He explained the menu very well for us and made sure allergies were catered for even when he had to return a dish that had not been adjusted. All was done with the utmost politeness and respect in spite of how incredibly busy the restaurant was. The food was delicious and extremely well prepared. I can recommend Chattorey without hesitation and have passed on details to many friends already. Best restaurant in Gravesend and for miles around.

Food tasted good, but little texture to the food mostly blended consistency, which I wasn’t expecting. Disappointed and expensive for take away at £50 for two people - won’t be returning

The food was lovely service was a bit slow but it was busy so no problem and we were not in a rush. I would have given food 5-stars but the starter portions were very small plus they ran out of chicken tikka the only thing my younger son eats in an Indian restaurant he got 4 chunks of chicken tikka not enough for him so we ordered a tandoori chicken but he doesn't like chicken on the bone. Mains were tasty still slightly small portions but we ordered a few different dishes so we had more than enough to go round. Other than that the food was lovely thank you for a great evening. Service come on guys get a card machine you don't have to stick to the high street Banks there's a lot of independent doing good deals... See you guys soon thank you...

Probably my favourite Indian restaurant in this area. Always great service and food is delicious, both for eating in and for takeaway. Their Tandoori are the way to go as you get a whole meal with a selection of sides. The rest of their menu is delicious too, but the Tandoori Salmon give you the best value. Always happy after a visit.

Very poor. Served us poppadoms from the night before. We arrived at 6 and they were stale and cold. Nan breads not cooked properly seemed like they were out of a packet? Not made in kitchen ? Lamb curry was full of gristly meat that i took home for the dog. Shame, seem to remember it was better a year or so ago. Dont take cards either, you have to go to shop next door to buy something to get cash back, in 2023.

The real deal. Authentic, tasty, light, we all loved our dishes and really nice people. Will be our favourite now in Gravesend.

Gem of a place. Would highly recommend. The best curry I’ve had in a long time. Flavours, quality, portions. So accommodating when asked about ingredients. All amazing.

A family get together. The food was amazing and authentic. Lovely selection and I’m a vegetarian and loved the options. Food was tasty, light and not at all oily like other restaurants. I grew up next to an Asian family in the 1980s and grew up on many beautiful authentic dishes passed over the garden fence! Seriously, the food at this restaurant took me back to then, absolutely the best authentic Indian food. A gem of a find.

A family group of 8, every one of us really happy with our chosen dish. Great flavours. Naan bread the best we’ve ever had. A curry house with a unique way of doing things. Would highly recommend 😊

Been in there a long time ago several times and the food was so much fresher and better quality .

We went to Chattory around 6pm on Saturday 4th Feb 2023. We had not booked, and were the first people there, but it filled up during the course of our meal, so probably worth booking in advance. Food was amazing. We ordered tandoori paneer, tandoori salmon, mashed aubergine, mushroom saag, mushroom rice and chilli cheese naan. With two large glasses of wine each, plus tap water. All you of it was amazing, however My favourite was the paneer and the aubergines. And the cheesy naan. For dessert I had carrot halwa and ice cream - the most delicious dessert ever! The halwa was warm and sweet and aromatic, perfect with the cold ice cream. Definitely recommend this restaurant- great service too. 100% more authentic than usual Indian restaurants which serve anglicised dishes like korma and tikka masala. No vindaloo on the menu here!! Will definitely visit again.

What a find, my friend lives just around the corner and this was her first visit. This a fairly small restaurant but very welcoming. The staff are very good and helpful but the main thing was the food which was very very good. Have been to India a lot of times and the food here was just as good. Will be going back for more.

This is a fantastic restaurant for a more authentic Punjabi style cooking. Fish Amritsari, Paneer shashlik and Tandoori Salmon are amazing starters. The lamb special curry is always superb, along with a spicy Sag chicken or the Keralan prawn curry. Throw in a Tarka dhal or the smokey Black Dhal and not forgetting the super tasty Nan breads and you can’t go wrong.

I visited here a number of years ago with my husband and friends and really don’t know why I didn’t return. I remember at the time thinking the food was exceptional. You don’t get served in the dish lots of fat/ghee that is renowned in most Indian food. The food here is amazing. All freshly prepared and cooked. We were, unfortunately, the only people in here so can’t comment on the atmosphere. We all liked the decor, very modern and bright. Nothing like a “usual looking” Indian restaurant inside. They cater for all types but we felt especially vegetarian which we all love including meat and each meal was very delicious and unique. They also cook chicken, lamb and goat in some dishes. The naans and rotis were very light and moreish. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

The special lamb curry tonight was exceptional ! sag paneer on the side to match - scooped up by the best tandoori roti's which were perfect thickness . Been going there for years but this was the absolute best ever - well done Chattorey!

Been here a few times now and never disappointed! Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food is so delicious and I struggle to decide what to order because it all sounds amazing! Would highly recommend the fish starter, the goat curry and the breads are so thin and crisp. Finishing off the meal with a masala chai is a must and well worth the wait! Can't wait to go back again!

Don’t ever go to this place , arrogant staff , I ordered for collection and got burnt naans , when I rang to complain they didn’t want to rectify ,, AVOID AT ALL COSTS DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, RUDE STAFF , I GIVE IT A 0.5 out OF 10, and they never offered any compensation just said I will receive free naans on my next order , my whole order was ruined coz of the naan breads , now they want to lie and say they tried to offer compensation, first of all the manager I spoke to could not speak much English , so please stop lying I now change it from a 0.5 out of 10 to a complete 0 , save your time and money and go elsewhere please 🙏

Great, cosy restaurant very close to the city centre. Staff were also very friendly and attentive. I took my family here and we mix and matched a few curry dishes, rice, and breads and it was all perfect. It's my Mum's first time going to an Indian restaurant and I believe she's now converted so we'll definitely be back there again.

You could be forgiven for walking pass this restaurant without seeing it: it's quite narrow and has none of the eye-grabbing features you might expect. It is street food: you do not have fancy tablecloths, cutlery comes in a little bucket with your paper napkins. The two young people waiting are welcoming, discreet (in a good way) and helpful. Lovely meal with my husband! The flavors were exceptional, certainly not your average Gravesend curry house! It's location is unfortunate as they would certainly get a lot more business in other parts of town! The menu is different to the usual - which is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be coming back, it's now our new favorite Indian restaurant.

Best Indian I visited in forty years. A cool, modern atmosphere. The service was good and relaxed. The food was original, authentic and correctly spiced. The menu was well priced, in fact, very good value.

Went for some dinner with my daughter...Food was on point,service was on point. This is probably the best authentic Indian restaurant in a 20 mile radius of Gravesend. The Butter Chicken is divine as is the Kadai Chicken...a must if you are looking for authentic Indian flavours and not your usual Indian (Bengali run) restaurant manufactured dishes... no vindaloos, dupiaza’s on this menu....just good wholesome like-at-home cooked food....keep up the good work Amit....

We wanted to celebrate a birthday. We booked and they confirmed by email, but come the day the shutters were down and they were closed "for maintenance".. They could have told us, but couldn't be bothered. Fortunately we found a good Italian restaurant nearby and next time we'll go tstraight there.

We visited Chattorey on a weekday evening for the 2nd time and once again had a great experience that we’d want to repeat.The menu at Chattorey is probably not typical but if you are willing to take a risk and try something different, you will be very pleased you did - every dish we’ve tried here has been excellent from starter to dessert. Thoroughly recommended and a great addition to the numerous restaurants of this type in Gravesend.

We were in the area last week in the hope of visiting the gurudwara but it was closed. We drove past this restaurant and thought of giving it a chance. The place looked very busy but we were made to sit immediately. The food was very tasty, quick to arrive and seemed fresh. Use of spices is great and food tasted authentic. Our paneer dish was hot and flavourful and so was daal tadka.Naan breads were nice and moist. Will defo visit again.

First visit after reading all the excellent reviews went Sunday 22nd August with my son and daughter well what a lovely meal we had staff are very friendly food excellent so different from your normal Indian Restaurant food I must admit I’m very fussy even down to the toilets they were spotless overall experience 10/10 would highly recommend

We made a last minute decision to try this restaurant and we certainly wasn't disappointed! The starters were great and the mains, particularly the goat curry, was a perfect blend of flavour and spice. We were impressed with the presentation of the food and even more so with the taste. Definitely worth a visit! I'll be seeing the lovely staff at Chattorey soon!

5 Star food. All four of us enjoyed tasty food. Only, minor, downside is no parking at site and cash only. Parking at Parrock St, available 2 minutes walk.

Good and tasty food. Menu is smaller but this helps as it's the most popular items you can find. Starter portion could be bigger especially for the price. We had bhelpuri and chilli mushrooms. Mains were kadhai chicken . Overall food was tasty. Would advise they start accepting card payments. No reason for taking cash only. They don't serve draught beer either.

Food and service always first class.

The first thing we liked was the look of the food that was being served up to other customers. We loved the small menu which reduces the headache of ordering. This was probably one of the best curries we have ever had. What a find after our visit to the local microbrewery. We will definitely be back again after lockdown.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday 10th October but were unhappy that a table of 6 30 -40 year old men were constantly leaving their table to smoke outside without one of them putting on a mask to either leave or return. I suggested to our waitress that this was out of order and she agreed but they remained unchallenged. One or two other customers arrived to collect takeaways and some had no mask. It seems they were used to this negligent attitude.

This little gem was recommended to me by an Indian friend, went with my sister & a friend x We weren’t disappointed, not normally a lover of lamb curries but it melted in your mouth, the flavour was Not the typical Indian we would normally choose, but loved the cafe style setting & will definitely be coming back for more authentic Indian cuisine x

Sensational Restaurant very unique to your standard "Indian restaurant" we had a mixture of starters and mains and found them all really well flavoured. Its a good 15miles from me but I would travel that to eat ther again. They were also following the covid 19 rules amiably

Very nice feel to this place. Busy, yet private. food was hot and nicely served yet felt portion size was rather on the small side for the price. Byriani was average, As a vegetarian with a lot of Byriani dishes under my belt I could not give this a wow at all. Not much rice, or veg sadly lacking. Lamb curry was good, according to my partner but again not much rice served with this . All in all a nice meal but have had tastier and much better value elsewhere,

I came here yesterday with a few friends. The food was fantastic and at a very affordable price. Don't go here if you're expecting the westernized dishes such as Vindaloo or Madras. Go here if you want to try real Indian food made from whole spices and traditional recipes. Fantastic experience.

I don't often review places, but in this instance, I felt I should. The food was great and the fact it's not your "traditional British curry house" made me try something new, and I liked it (Shock!). Will definitely be going again, as we want to try more dishes! Overall a great experience; one minor negative, I felt the soft drinks were a bit pricey, but that's about all I can find to fault this place.
