Chatni Fine Indian Dining in Perth & Kinross

We ordered a takeaway meal for 2, something we do every month or so. It is always amazingly good with very interesting dishes, quite different to what is available at other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in the area. It is unquestionably the best for miles around. I cannot recommend Chatni too highly, for the quality of the food and the helpfulness and courtesy of the manager and staff.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal on Sunday 24th September. My partner had vegetable masala and I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken tandoori on the bone. Our starters were equally amazing (vegetable pakora and chicken puri). Wonderful service with great attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Had a most delicious takeaway from Chatni last night. An amazing array of dishes for all palates, all beautifully presented. Super Staff here, always helpful if you’re eating in the restaurant or having a takeaway. Highly recommended.

5 star food and 5 star service. Stopped at Chatni for dinner while travelling north. We enjoyed the best Indian meal we have had in a long time and would highly recommend. Future trips north will definitely include a stop here for another wonderful meal.

Have never left a review for a restaurant before but felt that the whole experience was amazing and deserving of a 5 start review. My husband, son and I had the most delicious meal last night. Our first time visiting Chatni's and we are so glad we did. The menu offers a variety of options and the staff were on hand and informative when selecting meals to meet our preferences (our 11 year old fussy eater ordered his first indian meal of Chicken Tikka, and he loved it). The service was exceptional, staff are friendly and attentive. We couldn't fault any part of the night. Thank you again for a great evening, we will definitely be back. Jodie, Chris and Zac.

We visited on a Saturday early evening and to be honest it was mediocre! £2.00 per popadom was extortionate The food was not much better than supermarket fodder - would we go again ? Probably not tbh

We left it far too long before returning here for a fantastic dinner. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The welcome - the service - the food all excellent….tasty fresh and authentic too. Well worth the drive over from Auchterarder and we will be back soon. (The couches as you go in are very soft and comfortable but it’s ok because the manager will offer to help you up if you get stuck)

Booked a table due to reading some excellent reviews. We were staying in Perth and took a 15 min taxi ride to the restaurant. Parking is on the street, so I'm glad we opted for a taxi. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. We tried some dishes that we wouldn't normally try and weren't disappointed. Staff were attentive, extremely friendly, and very welcoming. They have many regular customers, which speaks volumes about their consistently high standards. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough and if we are every back in the area we will definitely be back. A ++

Although living in Perth, Methven is just a short drive but well worth the effort to experience some really fine dining. Excellent food and service for both carry out and sit in.

This restaurant came highly recommend to us. Unfortunately on our previous couple of trips the restaurant was fully booked. On this occasion we pre booked a table for 4. We were definitely not disappointed the food was fantastic. Some really different flavours and dishes to the Indian restaurant where we come from. The portion sizes was extremely generous. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Will definitely be booking in again next visit to Perth

We ate here on Christmas Day and paid quite a lot for our 3 course meal. Unfortunately, we had to wait 45 minutes for our starters. We could not believe they were taking orders for take-aways while serving Christmas lunch! Madness, the kitchen could not cope obviously and the people who were paying top whack for a special lunch were the ones to suffer. The food, when it arrived was good. The waiters apologised when we left but we will not be back.

Been here a couple of times now very nice food cooked to order very attentive staff - not colouring great pickles and sauces eveything ive had has been alot less greasy than other indians. Good portion sizes and friendly helpful staff. No wonder its number 1 in Perthshire on tripadvisor.

After checking Indian restaurants close to Perth, we opted for the short drive to chatni and were very impressed! Delicious mixed starter to share , followed by the main of the green chicken curry with Bombay aloo. Great service and excellent value. Excellent!

Good food, a varied and tasty menu, everything was delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. There were gluten free options for most of the dishes. The description in the menu of the mild/medium/hot was accurate for the dishes we had.

I could honestly say this is the best indian restaurant ive been to . Quality of the food . The service . I had a lamb pathia and it was definately the best one ive had . I will definately be revisiting next time im in scotland
