We had been to the Chapel House Tea Room before and as a result, decided to come back. The food and service, again, we excellent. The soup this time was not quite up to the previous standard so a couple of the group chose other items, but I enjoyed mine. I think the combination of soup plus half a (large) sandwich is a good match. We'll be back.

A combination of tea room to the right and a craft shop to the left, as it’s name suggests this is housed in a former chapel. It was surprisingly quiet on our Saturday morning visit, perhaps due to it being such a lovely day and people perhaps looking for somewhere with outside seating.

The Wheelhouse Restaurant

15/07/2018: After walking from Blue Anchor, my wife and I needed food and drink
05/07/2018: Had lunch here today after the steam train from Bishops Lydeard. Read about it on TripAdvisor and saw the great reviews. Lovely meal, friendly staff. Don't make the same mistake that we almost made and go in The Wheelhouse Snack Bar a few doors away...very nice I'm sure but a different establishment altogether.

The Whortleberry Tea Rooms

22/04/2018: Took the bus up to Porlock (or rather a 16 seater minibus that we only just got onto) and then had 2 hours for the return bus. Enjoyed wandering around Porlock and then found the tea rooms in time for tea and cake before our bus back to Minehead. Dog friendly; people friendly; relaxing; humungous piece of very nice homemade cake. Cup of Darjeeling to wash it down with. What more can you ask for from a tearoom?
24/03/2018: First visited a while ago, but as we were back in the area we had to go back for a return visit as we were impressed by the first....the lovely owners did not disappoint, still very friendly and still great tasting food, the walnut cake was so fresh and succulent.
