Chapel house is only a short walk from the entrance to Dunster castle, so it was an ideal place for lunch after a morning at the castle. It is a pleasant little cafe and gift shop. I had the fish ploughmans, which was very enjoyable. My husband had the spiced beans. We also enjoyed their coffee. After that we were ready to walk to the watermill and spend the afternoon in the castle grounds.

Looked an interesting building and was not disappointed with the service or food. Ordered coffee and cheese scone! Excellant! Plenty of time to relax ! Owners had time to talk and still give a very good service! Visited 3 times in 2 weeks!

the Bridge Inn

04/12/2019: What a friendly and welcoming place this is. A good selection of ales, a great roaring fire and wonderful cooked food too. We have spent a lot of time in here over the past few days and I can honestly say that it is one of the most welcoming and comfortable places to eat, drink and enjoy the company of friends.
05/11/2019: We were staying out of town and came to dinner at the Bridge Inn on recommendations. Very delightful, warm and cosy inn with great staff and an excellent menu. Well recommended by others, and us, of course. The best dish we tried was the Fabulous seafood Fish Pie. Yum!

The Copper Kettle

23/10/2019: After a tiring day we were in need of refreshment. J had already sounded out a possibility for tea. The Copper Kettle served us probably the best cream tea I've ever had. Scrumptious scones, delicious blackcurrant jam and a large amount of yummy clotted cream. We're only in exmoor for a few days but might well be back tomorrow.
04/12/2019: Well six of us decided on breakfast and what a brilliant decision. Five of us had the copper kettle breakfast and one had the mini. What fabulously tasting food these people rustle up. Everything was piping hot, cooked to perfection and simply delicious. What good value too. With the quality and good value of this food, why buy and cook your own. Will definitely be back for the best cooked breakfast I have had in a long time.
