The ambience is great with an Arabic setting. We ordered for Kadak keema along with chai.. food is great and staff hospitality is great. A must visit in London

I’m sorry to say that but it was really a disappointing experience visiting for the first time. Imagine that the Gents toilet is out of order, they are waiting for a plumber to fix it!! Really!! 2 days waiting?? Don’t wait for the plumber to come, go get someone yourself! But to be honest, the staff are friendly and helpful!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for ages and finally got a chance. Damn the Karak chai is truly special very sweet but hits the spot! Be warned it’s very hot too which I love but can burn your mouth! Their sweet chapatti bought back memories from my childhood.

Nice food, bad priced, The place is small with nice Arabia decorations. Yet they did not take the order right, the cue on the cashier was like body guards around our table, the prices are exaggerated The price of safeha which you need 2 to 3 to fill you up is similar to the huge burger at hard Rock coffee. Hi My name is Ali i have recently visited the karak & chapati Knightsbridge with some of my friends on this friday the staff was really rude and i dont know which language they were using while serving me. They were so loud and wasn't even looking at me properly i told that lady in a suit her name was margrita i wanted to have a table she looked at me with a funny face and told me that she don't have the table to give me ,all of them reserved even though i was looking at some free tables over there. she made me wait for half an hour then we left after looking at her rude and pathetic Attitude, but what i have noticed she was doing this with only asian people. and she was only being rude with Asians Families and individuals One thing i dont understand why its matter for a staff which race is coming there and which race they should give the table. customer is a customer race does not matter at all and the 2nd thing which is really rude everyone was talking in their own language they are working in uk for a company which is based in uk they should speak in english only. if they cant speak in english they should learn it then work i think company should give the staff proper customer service training and they should appoint the uk qualified people who can give some respect to the customers oherwise this is really bad for business. they wont lose anything company will lose their reputation over here in uk some of people over there they should clean the plates instead of giving orders or giving tables. management should take a serious action about it really bad experience .i am going to email your head office as well about this and i am so sorry to say that i wont recommend anyone to go there at all thats really upsetting to be honest

Chapati & Karak is my weekly and sometimes daily spot. Not only do they serve the best karak tea but the staff members are really nice, helpful and welcoming. Margarita, nothing less but a ray of sunshine, always helping, recommending what to order etc. She is such a darling. Hats off to the great work, should be an example to many. Nobody's perfect but she really put that bar high and is close to perfection. loany, true gentleman: this guy definitely knows his job. Always with a smile, always doing the best to make the visits better and better. I come to London every weekend to visit friends and family and without fail that includes a stop at Chapati & Karak! A great chill vibe and decent karak & keema chapatis for me to enjoy with my friends and also family friendly for the more older generation! Im always greeted with a great smile and service from the staff and in particular have warm welcomes from the manager Margarita, who is very sociable and friendly and one of the main reasons i recommend the place to people! Avoid. Verystaff who lied about prices and shrugged when confronted. The sweet chapati was barely edible and karak was average but overpriced. A board was up showing past prices and when I said that is wrong and asked if they would take it down to stop misleading customers they said no. Decor is nice however no reason to visit this poor excuse of a cafe.

I’ve been coming here for the longest and the staff are always lovely, Roxan (Roxy) always remembers me by name and asks how my days been. The other day I was ill and she took the time from her break to make me lemon and honey hot water! She’s so lo lovely and caring to all her customers, honestly an asset to the Chapati and Karak name.

Love this place, I’m a regular and it’s always a great catch up spot. The staff are really friendly and overall the staff is on point. Margerita is always hand to offer ace service with a smile too, always recommending the karak and keema chapati!

I’m a regular tea drinker at Chapati and Karak and each return visit is down to the friendly environment and staff services, whenever I walk in I’m always greeted with such welcome from the staff, in particular Margarita is very delightful, always smiling and has my order memorised and she’s a credit to the team! I do and will continue to recommend all friends and family visit Karak for great tea and vibes!

This is my 4th visit here I just love there tea. Its cost £3.50 small. The staff were friendly and wonderful. I be back again soon.

Lovely food and atmosphere, but dismissive staff put a downer on the experience. Cramped seating, but would recommend to others- for food, not hospitality. Definitely try the shake!

This place is always busy whether you start your day here, end it or take a break mid day it never disappoints. The ladies here are always helpful and very sweet. Unfortunately, this place has really been getting worse over the years. They keep hiring Eastern Europeans who only favour Middle Eastern customers. They are very unfriendly otherwise. I went there for years and if it wasn't because the karak and chapati weren't delicious I would never return.

I visited this place last weekend and tried the Karak Chai and Chapati with Keema, the chai was amazing with Masala and cardamom tea, the staff was very friendly and cooperative as well the price is affordable.

This is the second time attending here expecting it to be better than the first but I am appalled once again. The service here is incredibly poor and really lets down the whole experience. Workers favour the Arab born customers over anyone else. First time I came with my friend, we where seated and waited for over half an hour to receive table service like the Arab women next to us did...and we ended up having to get up to order our drink and food because the waiters continuously dismissed us and made sure to help any other Arabs who came in. There was no warm welcome the first and second time I’ve attended here. The second time I’ve come, people who came after us received faster service whilst we waited. There’s a lot more detail that I haven’t added that’s made me never want to come here again. Don’t waste your money people, there’s plenty of other places that offer the same food and drink elsewhere.

Waitress dropped tea on my legs and I had to attend to my burnt legs with a wet towel. The only thing the cafe could give me was a burns cream. When I spoke with their romanian shift manager as the manager was on holiday could not even give me an apology for the accident but blame the owner for not having a health and safety policy in place or some advice on how to treat my legs seen as she claimed to be a nurse also? All I have to say is I will not be going there again nor will I recommend the place either. Staff speak poor english and do not even great you on arrival or departure which I find rude, you would expect more from a place thats located in such an area of London.

My wife and I have been going to Chapati & Karak ever since it has opened in Knightsbridge. We have seen how the menu has developed (from literally only 2 items on the menu) to how the team has expanded. We go on a weekly basis and are always greeted by the friendly staff and warm smiles. From Emily who is able to make time to say hello with her warm smile, Cynthia and her welcoming demeanour, Roxi and her infectious energy, Timea and her friendly welcome to Margarita and her effort to always make sure we are comfortable. As you can see, we have made chapati & karak our second home, and the staff make all the efforts to ensure all the customers are looked after even in the busy times! The aroma of the karak brewing and the chapati grilling, makes it a perfect place for groups or a casual day/night out. Overall, I can confirm if you go here - be assured you'll be greeted with a smile, taken care of with a smile and leave with a smile! Well done to the team at Chapati & Karak - your hard work is always appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed!

We come here often. Not for the service. No smiles, and we got forgotten I think as we had to ask again for the order. The booths are comfortable. The chairs not.

I heard about this place from a friend as I love Karak chai we all decided to go. We were bitterly disappointed as we were told no seats were available and had to wait. We were told someone would get us as soon a seat became available. Some people came in behind us and they were seated in a booth before us so we decided to remind the staff. They told us a table was being cleared and we would be seated there. As soon as the table was cleared they forgot about us again so we had to approach them again and ask if we could go take a seat. After this there was a catalyst of disasters the waitress dropped hot steaming karak on my friend and what made it worse was there was no first aid kit on premises. We were offered no formal apologies for the conduct we received the food given was cold by the time we sat to eat. We were just offered some money off of our order. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. To be honest I have tasted much better karak chai the chappati was not great. The tea was better than the food.

Been visiting Chapati & Karak quite often, always take away, however yesterday I’ve decided to stay in and have a chat with a friend. We were unpleasantly greeted upon arrival with the impression that we are not welcomed there and bothering the staff to chat. As soon as we sat down, the lady came to take our order and wasn’t happy that we were not ready. The chapati’s were literally thrown into our faces with no explanation which one is with what (ordered 2 different types). No thank you, no here’s your food, goodbye nothing. This place would have been much better without the miserable staff and with self service Options as the staff simply ignore you. It’s such a shame because the ambience and the food is really good, but unfortunately the staff doesn’t make you enjoy it. I’m only putting 2 stars for the tea and chapati.

Nunca me olvido de venir a tomar el té en esta encantadora casa de té. Al parecer está basado en Qatar. Lo sirven muy caliente. Estoy seguro de que cada taza contiene 100 calorías, pero ¿quién está contando? ? ! ! Lo único malo es que suele estar bastante ocupado. A menudo es difícil conseguir una mesa y, por lo que puedo decir, no hacen reservas. Después de una noche en la ciudad, nada mejor que relajarse con un buen té en Chapati y Karak. El único postre que tienen es el chapati. Puedes conseguirlos con nutella si quieres.

Visited Chapati & Karak on a rainy saturday when it was hammerring it down and my companions, a group of 14 people, decided they wanted cha (desi tea). Having been to Chapati & Karak once before I knew that the closest thing to cha would be there so that's where we ended up.

I simply loved the tea and meethi chapati. My daughter and I absolutely loved it and the location is so perfect 👌🏻👏🏻 Very different and excellent idea of having karak with chapati on such a good location.

Visited this place yesterday 21/10/18 with my family. Amazing Karak.. Cinnamon Karak reminded me so much of the desi kutting chai you get back in India...

Really enjoyed my time here. From the minute I walked in, I felt like royalty. The manager, Alex, helped me find a seat, as I am pregnant and couldn’t stand for long. The service was impeccable and the food speaks for itself. We ordered Karak tea and soft cheese and sweet chapati, which all arrived in record time and tasted Devine!!

I like the music extremely🙈. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. The place is very good and the chapati and karak are so delicious.

An amazing place worth the try after dinner. We were in the vicinity, post a Thai dinner went to Chapati & Karak for the first time. Ordered the sweet chapati and one Karak (chai- tea). For a non-tea drinker loved the middle East experience. Recommended.

I tired when first time opening before couple of years and this is the second time honestly I don't like karak but I tried the one with hail and it was too tasty rich and spicy even better the one I tried it in India, the atmosphere is normal showing the traditional Qatar's home decoration. The chapati is good and not oily so that is perfect for me.

It was my 1st time to karak & chapati in london but i have ate alot if chapatis and karaks restaurants, we ordered 1 soft cheese and i added honey but they serve it aside so u have to do the hard work dipping it or fill it, eggs with cheese and i preferred it more

Took my friend there. Asked for a table of 2. The waitress made space for us. Ordered what we wanted and later asked to replace one cup without sugar and in no time it was done. Great

was ignored for 20 min and I dont know if its because Im not Arab (Im British but live in Qatar) but the service was atrocious. Walked out without drinking anything and the prices were atrocious for what is seen as a cheap working class drink in the Gulf (bear in mind Qatar is supposedly the richest country in the world yet their Chapati and Karak mint tea sells for 4 riyal (80p) but here is £4.50) Service in the Qatar branch is a LOT friendlier than here too. Plus who sells a drink in a paper cup at that price? I went to Harrods for excellent service and coffee in a china cup for the same price.

Lugar muy concurrido, no es fácil encontrar un lugar para definir, así que para ir. La tienda sirva bien cocinado y preparado té con leche y algunas especies llamado la tienda sirve también de Karak. Pan estilo indio, así que la combinación de ambos le da el sabor especial de Chapati cruce en el té de karak. La decoración es muy bonita desde el viejo estilo de Oriente Medio, ambiente muy cálido. Agradable para probar.

This place is like a hidden gem it’s very close to Harrods and it’s s must place for tea (chai) lovers with a hint of Arabic and Indian style to their food , decor is very nice. This is a small place and I believe they should branch out more so be prepared to wait if not booked , once seated we got placed our orders for Karak chai with cardamon and the cinnamon chappatis which is a good portion size , the chai was awesome and the chappati was very nice too , I would definitely visit this place again it’s where most Arabs will grab a snack with the relaxing ambience.

Estábamos en un viaje muy corto para el Reino Unido, alojándose en Lambeth. Fue sin duda no vale la pena viajar hasta este lugar porque el personal no nos incluso sentarse en cualquier lugar. Y estaban tan grosero y no ayuda en absoluto! ! ! Me dijeron que la mesa para cuatro, no será utilizada, porque somos dos personas! Cuando preguntamos por la zona de asientos al aire libre simplemente enseguida dijo que no se cierra en 6 minutos. Área de descanso era tan tan estrecha y eran nos obligó a sentarse tan estrechamente a otros clientes en la misma mesa. Obviamente decidimos no molestar a alguien por estar tan cerca y al lado de ellos. El personal nos dejó parados en el medio de la tienda, sin lugar para sentarse. Una experiencia tan horrible y vergonzoso, después de viajar por todo el camino a tener su karak! ! ! Nunca va su nuevo. Esta es la primera vez que me he encontrado esa política de tener mesa vacía y no huéspedes además dispone incluso sentarse! !

Me encanta este lugar, vengo regularmente por un par de veces y karak, con un Chapati con huevo o un dulce cinammon. El personal es muy agradable. En particular me encuentro Sergiu con una sonrisa y servicio rápido. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita cuando en Knightsbridge.
