Enjoyed every minute, the food was so good, plenty of it and really tasty, the owners and staff are attentive and welcoming, would definitely recommend and will look forward to visiting again soon.🤩

This little gem is worth it's weight in gold, welcoming, spotlessly clean, intimate setting, amazing food, I have never once had anything I wasn't happy with and I am 100% a fussy foodie, the family who own it are beautiful people nothing is too much trouble, booking is essential as it is very popular, highly recommended by family and many friends too, you won't be dissapointed.

No vegan options. Bit of a shame as it looks like a nice place. Son's crying.

10/11/23. After a long drive and pre-booking our table, we were greeted with a smile. Tick one. Interior is well arranged and very clean. Tick two. A comprehensive menu to suit all tastes and dietary preferences. We enjoyed three courses each. All very well cooked and presented. This is proper home cooked food with bells on. Our group were delighted with the quality and quantity of food served. Local ale was delicious. In my opinion a real gem, offering value for money . And to top it all off, a thankyou from the chef/owner as we left. Highly impressed and deserving of the five-star rating.

Fabulous evening, well 6pm. Tried to book 6 months ago for a sat evening but they were fully booked then! So opted to go Friday instead. So glad we did. 6 adults and we all had the house special 'espesdatas'. Lamb and chicken. Beautiful meat, served over polenta and new potatoes which were doused in the melted garlic butter from the meat. Gorgeous salad and stunning chips. Banana eton mess for dessert and sticky toffee pudding omg! Staff and atmosphere were excellent. Lovely way to celebrate my bil 40th birthday . Only small and intimate but lovely place.

Wow…we feel we have found a true gem in North Wales . We have eaten in many places in North Wales but we can confidently say this is the best by far. The setting is quaint with a lovely atmosphere. Staff are amazing and the food was devine . We found it hard to choose, so another few visits already being planned so we can make our way through the menu ! The black pudding for a starter was amazing , steak for main was cooked perfectly and a special mention to the Eton Mess which is the best we’ve ever had . 5 stars all the way. What a fabulous family owned/run restaurant - a real gem. Arwel, Anna & Nicole are a delight - nothing is too much trouble. The food is freshly prepared and cooked beautifully using ingredients from the garden and reasonably priced. The damson ice cream/coulis is to die for. I wish you continued success!

We were booked in for an anniversary meal last night and we were not disappointed! We experienced first class service from the lovely Anna and Rachel, as well as some truly stunning food cooked by Arwel. He also went the extra mile, coming out of the kitchen to speak to his guests, just adding that personal touch. The cocktails also went down a treat! The chef/owner Arwel, has to be one of the best 'cooks' I have had the pleasure of meeting and eating with. His freshly prepared food, in Chandlers Restaurant is absolutely stunning. Chandlers; It's what one would call a 'compact', intimate, cosy, family restaurant. Arwel's partner and daughter manage front of house, always smiling and happy. Always ready to tell you about the specials and have a chat at the same time, the whole family really do compliment each other and make a most enjoyable dining experience. We dine, taking our time, surrounded by quirky decorations, sayings/mottos, paintings and so on. Chandlers seats at the most 30 people inside, comfortably. This lovely restaurant has laid back music playing discreetly in the background and a small, but comprehensive wine list to accompany the most delicious food. I have never tried the desserts, but, my partner assures me they are divine! If you're in N Wales, make a booking, well in advance, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to eat without doing so. Amazing Best restaurant in the Conwy Valley

Back in Wales so just had to book in here for dinner. Not once but twice! Perfect, everything was perfect! We'll be back again next year for sure! Thank you.

From my first point of contact - via email - everything felt right about our reservation at Chandlers - we were offered two time slots - because they wanted sufficient time between each reservation - to provide a good service - the table would be ours for the rest of the evening. North Wales is notorious for its few ultra 'posh' eating establishments - and the rest mostly pub grub - but Chandlers I felt was going to be very different - a small establishment (I counted 22 covers?), owned by Arwel, a local experienced Chef, that offered a varied, yet very interesting menu. So by the day of our reservation - I was full of excitement for our forthcoming dining experience. I was not disappointed. From the onset, the friendliness of the staff was evident, and it stayed that way throughout the evening. We were seated next to the window, and we were the first of the evening's diners. We were told about the evening specials, and my wife and I settled for homemade fish cakes and mushrooms with spinach - each dish came with an accompanying dip /sauce - delicious. For main courses we settled on lamb dishes, roast, and a house speciality - Lamb Espetada - a Portuguese dish (Madeira - usually beef or pork, but Welsh lamb is a very tasty alternative) on a suspended skewer, which allows the fat to drizzle over other food - usually crusty bread, or in this case cubes of polenta - in a basin below the tip of the skewer. It was cooked to perfection, and was delicious. The choice for desserts was equally extensive, and I had a mini-trio - all nicely presented. If I had one regret for the way the evening went - it was that we should have arrived half an hour earlier, to sit outside in the evening sun and sample a cocktail from their extensive list. This establishment is doing everything right - it is evident that the staff work as a team - they are welcoming and friendly - the selection of food is just right, and the Chef knows what he is doing with it - it was cooked to perfection. I have great expectations for Chandlers, and I am sure it will eventually gain some prestigious culinary awards. Well done, you will see us again when we are next in North Wales. An experience I am already looking forward to!

What can I say. This place is fabulous from the hosts Arwel & Anna whom were very accommodating, to the food which was excellent. We had Spa & afternoon tea. Might I add the desserts are a must 😋 hospitality was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely be back would like to try the main menu. Chandlers Brasserie you did not dissappoint.

Have visited Chandlers a few times when on holiday and have always had a fantastic meal. Charming hosts, excellent service and good atmosphere.

We were welcomed with a friendly smiling face, and a pleasant chat. Our starters were excellent, and our mains were very good, let down slightly by the very average chips. Service was very good, choice was excellent and the overall price represented good value for money.

What a fabulous restaurant. You may wonder why I have only given a 4 star review for this visit while it really is a worthy 5 star restaurant. There is an extensive menu with great choices for veggies, vegans and carnivores. I wonder if the menu is too extensive for such a small, cosy establishment? The chef and staff are obviously hard working, friendly and efficient. We had a booking for early evening on King Charles' coronation day, the tables and restaurant decorated with Union flags and other coronation related items. The restaurant soon filled up. My niggles are minor - the fresh soup of the day was very tasty but I think should have been hotter on serving. My friend and I both ordered the "special" Lamb shank but were told there was only one available so I had the special and he had the lamb shoulder from the menu. Both turned out to be very tasty served with perfectly cooked vegetables. This is where my second minor niggle comes in ... I thought the shank was more fatty than I would have expected. To the desserts, a big choice and judging by what I could see being served at other tables, quite large portions. I chose the apple & rhubarb crumble and asked for ice cream instead of custard. In my opinion though again very tasty, the fruit could have been hotter; unfortunately I found the crumble to be far too dry and maybe custard would have been a better option than the ice cream. Having said this I am definitely intend to visit again when in the area during Summer.

Hadn't been for a few years despite being pretty local (2 of us from Betws y Coed & 2 from Llanrwst). Resolved to come here a lot more often! Great food & delightful service - nothing to fault. We had some individual starters & shared the Portugese skewers (lamb & chicken). Desserts all excellent too, especially the trio-taster. Super Gin & cocktail list - couple of pages each. Wine list short but exceptionally well priced. Small-ish but charming space so best to book ahead, Thank you Anna & Arwel for all that you do!

Was here as part of of a party of 8 and I have to say I was immensely impressed. Everyone commented on how good EVERYTHING was, starters included. I had the sea bass and mushrooms as a starter and it was some of the best food I have had IN MY LIFE! Lovely staff as well. A credit to the restaurant industry. Keep up the good work!

UPDATE I’ve been back for a second meal and it was 5 star service again (I took my parents). My parents then chose to go back again with some more family members to celebrate a birthday. EXCELLENT SERVICE/ FOOD/ ATMOSPHERE EVERY TIME - WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. 3 visits between August and October 2022 - all fantastic. Thank you Anna & Arwel! Exceptional meal - good portion sizes and flavoursome food. The venue itself is beautifully decorated and has a very nice atmosphere, from the decor to the music - lovely. Great drinks list with some excellent cocktails, beers and alcohol free options. Big menu, lots of choice all made with fresh local produce. Be warned: the desserts are also massive, so be sure to be hungry when you go there as you will want to eat all three courses and not miss out on any! The owners were very welcoming and friendly - both taking time out from cooking and waiting on us to have a chat with our group. Highly recommend this restaurant - do yourself a favour and pop in for a visit!

Delicious food. Fantastic, friendly service. Great menu. Very quirky decor that made us giggle. Love the homage to Marilyn Monroe in the ladies loos. Very enjoyable music at just the right pitch. It was a special celebration for us and the right place to celebrate.

Amazing. First time I've been but my other family members have been several times as my mum and the owner are old friends and she's taken a liking to the food. The meal was absolutely brilliant, I had the large kebab looking thing which was to die for. It's such a nice setting too, not too many tables crammed in and nice décor. I will definitely be coming back when I'm next up in Wales!

Visited Chandlers 3 years ago and couldn't miss the chance to visit again once I was in the area. Everything is amazing. Lots of options on the menu, both local dishes and other plates influenced by world cuisine (e.g., Portuguese). Food is just incredible - tasty and cooked perfectly with fresh local ingredients. Decor is also a big plus - it's a cute cozy small restaurant that caters perfectly for couples or small groups. Biggest regret was doubling up on starters (couldn't decide!) and having to skip dessert. Last but not least, service is on-point and super friendly. They even went the extra mile as I couldn't get a cab back to the hotel...so the chef Arwel drove me back! :D

Chandlers Brasserie is perfect. The food and service is 5 star. We have quite a few dietary requirements in our family and they catered for everyone to such a high standard. 'The best vegan meal I've ever had' came from my parents which was great news as this was a birthday celebration. They had dairy free and gluten free options as well as brilliant meat eater dishes! Something for everyone. Highly recommend!

So happy Chandlers are back with a Take away option due to the current situation. Just had an amazing Chicken espetada and fries with the cheesecake variety box to follow, which included a selection of 4 different cheesecakes and was great to share at home. The number one place to eat in North Wales, just became the Number one takeaway option......So nice to have chef quailty food at home as lockdown eases. Food quality was as high as usual and a great set up for collection, they provided a sterile area with contactless payment at rear car park and a designated 15 min collection slot to avoid meeting any other people.

What a find! , now open Thursdays through to Sunday , this little gem has a big heart and fabulous grub , owed but a lovely couple . Seats approx 24-26 people and menu great . Nice to eat not in a pub ! Don’t pass it by !!

Very much a local, family run restaurant, which has its charms. The owners are clearly generous and care about their business. We inexplicably got a free bowl of chips (not to our taste and we'd eaten enough unfortunately) and the food was a little salty. Nice fish. Take in your fill of inspirational quotes and Monroe-themed decor here.

The reputation of Chandlers is impressive and is very well deserved. A lovely welcome from Anna and Arwel, excellent choice of meals, tasteful decor, fantastic food always well prepared - what more could you ask for? We came across this amazing restaurant Chandlers , wow !!!We have come from Jersey and we have lovely restaurants there , but this place meets every criteria as those . The owners Arwel the Chef and Anna who makes the desserts and runs the restaurant, great staff they all make everyone feel welcome . I had pate and lamb which melted in my mouth , my partner had garlic mushrooms and duck .. Can’t wait to return ..!!!
