This is our favorite Indian, we only visit on special occcasions but really should make it more frequent. The food is amazing aswell.as tye service.

We have been visiting Chameli for many years. The owner is welcoming, polite, friendly and cannot do enough for you. Its reputation for delicious authentic indian cuisine, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere is second to none. The best Indian food in the cambridgeshire and lincolnshire without a doubt. If you love a curry you must visit. Alcohol isn’t served, only soft drinks so if you fancy an alcoholic drink with your curry you can take your own.

Just the best indian, love this place

Haven’t had a takeaway for ages and was really looking forward to a tasty treat. It was so disappointing! Most of it went in the bin. The onion bhaji was either old or seriously overcooked. Very dry and inedible. The salad was not fresh, the lettuce was going brown on the edges meaning it was cut at least the day before and the onion raita was a bit slimy which meant that too wasn’t fresh. We also had, chicken biryani and tandoori king prawn with mushroom and spinach bhaji, naan. It was all rather tasteless and for a total of £50.00. Never again. The best thing was it was ready when we arrived to collect.

Not the best!! But you can make your own mind up !!

We ordered over the phone for a take away order and was told it would take 1hr, we weren't too bothered by this wait. But worth noting, they get busy so order early. I went to collect an hour later, paid and was asked to sit & wait briefly. It was another 25 minutes of waiting, in this time other customers had come and collected but I was still waiting. Eventually I was given the food and i headed back. The 3 curries we had ordered were quite small portions and the vindaloo I wanted for its spice was hardly much stronger than a korma. We were disappointed by the portions, and I was really disappointed by the flavor & spice of my vindaloo. Additionally the peshwari naan that I had ordered was substituted with a chilli naan. Unfortunately by the time I had gotten home I just wanted to eat, and going back was not worth the time.

Had a take away as my brother insisted this was the best place to get it from. The service staff were great and seemed the place had a great atmosphere. But it's about the food , the chutneys are watered down, the chicken was dry and the bhajees reheated I have never tasted anything quite so bland in my times eating Indian and I like Indian food. Not very pleasant at all.

Food was good and service was fine, an enjoyable evening out but no Wine or Beer as they are not Licensed, restaurant has too many tables crammed into a small space so it was not what you could describe as an intimate dining experience, the manager was very polite and welcoming. Worth a visit though but not quite Michelin standards, more of an upmarket take out with tables and chairs.

Thank you so so much for making our night, such a wonderful atmosphere, staff are amazing, and the food is the fantastic. Will be back very soon. Absolutely fabulous!!!!

Best curry I've had, best service, and best vibes

Always a great experience here, relaxed, excellent food and service and you can bring your own booze from the Coop opposite which makes the final bill very appealing.

Nice food. We have been here before. However disappointed that they seem to have lost their licence to sell alcohol. Can bring your own, but we didn't know that at the time. Still tasty though.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Some of our group came from Kent. . We had a lady who could not eat dairy or wheat. ( Due to medication). They could not have been more understanding. Making recommendations and explaining the menu . Although due to medication her appetite was very small they boxed the left overs and she was able to take home. The rest of the party didn't have that problem. Empty plants and very satisfied. Excellent food, and excellent staff. The family from Kent commented that it was the best Indian they had visited, and these guys are well travelled.

Working night out. Covering Holbeach festival- decided to take time out. What a find. There was not one thing that would warrant a negative comment. The Prawn Purée starter has to be the best I have ever had. Service, attention to detail, cleanliness, ambience outstanding thank you 🥰❤️❤️

This isn't just about what a Fabulous restaurant this is, it's a story of kindness. The manager went behond kindness the other night when our car broke down, he came with drinks, food, took me round home to get warmer cloths, checking on us every half hour, even in the pouring rain. Even wanted to try with help to move the car onto the front of the restaurant, but wasn't possibly. Thank you will never cover what he did. He wouldn't have a penny off us. Unfortunately there is no alcohol on sale within but you may take your own. This is due to people being naughty employing peeps they should not have done.

Lovely atmosphere and the food was great would definitely go again

We went here for the first time last weekend after having been told from a number of people that we needed to try Chemeli. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. As for the food, it was wonderful, the best curry we have had for four years. This will definitely be the one for us, so much so we have just this minute booked again for tomorrow evening at 6.

Fabulous evening celebrating with friends in relaxed atmosphere. Food and service perfect and accommodating with bringing own drink.

From booking the table to leaving, we were made to feel so special. Fantastic service, matched by fabulous food, menu very large, will have to keep visiting to sample all. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and hardly any cooking smells

Very nice people, but first and last takeaway. Chicken dry and chewy, disappointing as had not had Indian food for a long time. Waisted £19.00 . All went in the bin.

Great welcome - however food wasn’t as great. I had high hopes but unfortunately the curries were quite bland and chicken very dry. No sweetness or spice. Naans we’re tasty as was rice.

First time at this restaurant. Great ambience- adorned with traditional Bengali motifs. Friendly and welcoming staffs. I had some tandoori dishes - nicely done with right amount of spices and properly grilled. Highly recommend this little gem in Holbeach.

AVOID AVOID AVIOD ,Total dog do,not enough sauce so chicken and other dishes just dry,overpriced rubbish, meat not tender & not full portions,never again SHAME YOU CANT LEAVE ZERO STARS.

Decided to try first time indian take away in Holbeach and did not regret, food was delicious, highly recommend!

Positives - efficient friendly service, nice popadoms and sauces. Negatives - chicken in the tikka Balti was bland and pale. Rice was hard and dry. Husbands mixed grill was a mix of tough dry meat on a bed of near raw onion. Won’t be returning.

Amazing food, for closest comparison I can give is a 2 star Michelin restaurant. Went in with no expectations and was thoroughly impressed.

That was the best Indian restaurant food we have had in a long time! The decor was clean and fresh.The service was slick.

Went for a meal whilst visiting Lincolnshire very disappointed had prawn purée for starter’s and chicken tikka balti. Very disappointed went back to my motorhome and was sick as a pig. Will not be venturing there again that was a waste of money

I recently moved to Holbeach and did not have much idea which were good or bad places to eat. So nothing to loose and four of us went there to see what it was like. I must admit the four of us were apprehensive, but it turned out that we all thought we'd hit the jackpot. The staff were brilliant, knowledgeable, polite and caring. What a fantastic place to go for an 'Indian' we've been three times now and every visit we have had the same level of service. The thing that also stands out is, the popularity, it's non stop. So if your going to visit BOOK, especially on a Friday. Just leave space for us.

I arrived at Chameli Tandoori with the intention of a takeaway. The menu was appetising and I Immediately felt the warmth and friendliness and asked for a table for one instead. I was not disappointed..... wonderful food. I couldn't decide on a veg side dish and asked for a taster of a few. The portion sizes of the side dishes were bigger than I expected or even wanted, especially for one person (too much) but the taste of them all (I was brought 4) was outstanding. I would, without a doubt recommend and I would eat here again without hesitation. Thank-you Chameli 😋

Not been here for a long while and after reading not so good reviews thought we'd still give it a go ..glad we did ! Gorgeous food not swimming in oil like some reviews had put..piping hot..plenty to choose from fast and pleasent service. Definitely recommend and will be back next time we're in Holbeach.

It was a delicious take away, no complaints.

Sadly not as good as the last times I have visited. We were rushed through our meal. The serving dishes were chipped so unhygienic. The dishes now appear bulked up by vegetables rather than the meat you have ordered. I will not rush back

Amazing... just amazing... flavour explosion!!

Had some vouchers gifted for Xmas so we decided to have a takeaway, the place was busy! But the food was so dissapointing bland, sauce in both currys were non existent. Small portions The sag paneer was dry no cream. The best bit was the popperdoms. We have been once before 7 years ago and it was not great then. It's not got better Maybe try in 7 more years!!

Had some nice meals in the past but was disappointed this time especially with the service - no pleasantries and certainly no smiles which put a dampener on our evening.

Had our first meal here last night (5/11/2021) it was fantastic best Indian meal ever, if i had to make any criticism at all it would be that my main course of king prawn chat rezzalla was a few minutes late, but it was worth it, also on entering all staff were very polite and welcoming. I also noticed that a lot of customers and staff were on first name terms with many regular customers this had to be a good sign. EXCELLENT

We had a family meal once again.The ambience was warm and friendly. The food was scrumptious. The flavours were perfectly balanced and tho' some might prefer hotter spices the curries were flavoured according to expectation. The Dhansak was medium hot and delicious with a fully flavoured sauce.The jalfrezi was hot and tasty.The vegetarian dishes were varied ,sustaining and par excellance.We cannot fault this restaurant.We have been coming when possible for many years and it always makes us happy. My daughter lost her gold ring under the table and it was eventually found by the hero member of staff,a humorous relieved ending to a perfect evening.

Have visited several times, always seems full of customers....lovely food... my only criticism would be is that it’s slightly over priced... but then there’s no real local competition for the same cuisine. On the flip side I’m quite happy to pay a higher price for good quality food and service.... and that’s what you get here... highly recommended....

Been eating here for many years , which has always been fantastic. However , the food as since gone down hill over the last couple of months and is tasteless and the chicken was hard and gristly . Portion size is a little on the smaller side but on the whole the general quality has become poor. It is such a shame that it seems to have gone down hill really enjoyed eating here.

The food was ok but I wasnt keen with how much coriander they add into it as it over powered the other flavours in the dish.

When we moved here 23 years ago it was exceptional. Great tasting food, good portions and nice service. Could not praise enough. Boss man was always on hand and took pride in the food. Unfortunately things have changed a lot. Maintaining standards is always a challenge but it was never cheap at Chameli but due to great quality it was value for money. Now it is poor based on the take away last night. And that is not the first time in recent months /years. Dishes were swimming in so much oil it was really off putting. Most of the dishes were fairly tasteless. Had to add salt to get some flavour back, Dansak should be spicey but this was bland, the lentil sauce was very poor (were there any lentils in it?). Even the Biriyani was not done traditionally, clearly meat thrown in to rice at the end, instead of the rice being infused with the flavours. As for the soup, hardly anything there. Once the 2 chunks of lemon were removed the remaining did not fill a tea cup. Not even a popadom thrown in for a sizeable order of over £51. They have become mean, pricey with over 15% price rise in the last 2 years and quality very poor. But this has been coming for several years. Not even a discount for take away like most others. They do not deliver so 10-12 mile round trips are just not worth it. Better off at Ghurka Oven in Spalding. This has become one of the most expensive restaurants in the area.

Brilliant service, we're busy but said a table wouldn't be long, and it wasn't. Food was lovely, biggest, lightest onion bhajis I have had. If they weren't so far away I'd make it a regular.

Went for the 1st time this evening as I have been looking for a decent indian in the area for ages. Must say very pleased indeed. Food was fantastic and fresh looking. Plus staff were very welcoming too. Definitely a place I will be going back to soon.
