I've been in the UK for a year and Cedar is the only place where I can feel like home Lebanon when it comes to food, atmosphere and vibe. It's the olace I take all my guests to have a taste of authentic Lebanese food.

I visit cedar restaurant during my holiday to portsmouth its an amazing experience we really enjoy our food very delicious and its really cheap and the decoration represent middle eastern theme and the people there is very friendly i woould give them 5 star they deserve it best of luck

The restaurant itself its cute inside and with atmosphere. We order tap of water 💧 they should bring a little mag with glasses not only couple of glass with water. The starter was ok we hummus and we enjoyed. 👍 The food arrive pretty quickly however the two main arrive separately 👎 normal portion We order a dessert the first option wasn’t available 👎so we picked something else internal was still frozen and cold for sure the microwave and serve. 👎 The tea we got was in tea bag not as original served as traditional👎 Overall we can’t say that the experience was really bad they should improve. We nicely eat started and main. They could improve all the rest just with a bit of attention and little effort regarding dessert and tea. Price ok, unless for dessert and tea but final bills kept average. Probably we will back we won’t take dessert and tea starter and main one for sure.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back if in the area. Food was so fresh 😋

Lebanese !!! U will love it !! After a long time taste buds reunited the real authentic cuisines as they named on the menu. Priced well. Cooked to perfection and succulence. Filled the tummy and soul at the same time. Fresh Lemonade.

This is one of those lovely places that you're glad you found. It's on the busiest street in Southsea, and easily overlooked in the hubbub, but well worth a visit. My partner used to live in the Middle East, and speaks Arabic, so it's no surprise that she spotted it first, and wanted to give it a try. We've tried quite a few dishes, and haven't had a bad one yet. My partner loves that the food is authentic Lebanese, right down to the handful of fries that you find inside your chicken wrap 😀. Took my mum there, too, and she was impressed with her lamb chops. Cash only.

Excellent Lebanese food. Tabouleh was fresh and tangy. Shish Tawook was excellent so was Chicken Kabsa. Huge helpings very good value for money. Friendly prompt service. Would love to go back again

Blown away by how good my lamb was. Note that this place is cash only but the prices are very very good for generous portions. Cannot recommend this place enough. 2 mains. 2 large falafels each, 2 large flat breads and 2 drinks cost us £29.50. Genuinely some of the best food I've ever eaten as well

Service was non existent; it wasn't a busy night yet took almost 20 minutes for the server to take our order. Drinks and food order were taken at the same time. Throughout the meal, there was no check up to whether the food was to our satisfaction or if the group required any additional drinks. The starters were tasty but the mains were lackluster. The drinks section of the menu was unclear as to what certain drinks were. For example, a 'Lebanese Cocktail' which was actually a smoothie. A simple breakdown of ingredients would help inform a drinks choice. Or perhaps the server, if they were around, could have shed some light. The restaurant is cash only which I feel in this day and age is rather archaic. Our group concluded that they wouldn't return.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations with its delectable cuisine and impeccable service. The elegant ambiance and flavorful dishes made for a truly memorable dining experience.

Came for anniversary! Had an amazing time and definitely recommend their lamb sharwama, lamb chops, batata harra and kibbeh.

Great food and price - cash only though. £30 for two people was great.

Visited at 8:40pm on a Friday night, restaurant was a quarter full. Was told it would be takeaway only after that point as they are closing (says it closes at 10 on google), sadly was a wasted 20 minute drive.

Visited here a few times now and always enjoy the simplicity of the food. Great Middle Eastern flavours and plenty on your plate. You can't leave here feeling hungry. Always nice to finish with a Lebanese coffee. They don't have an alcohol licence though, which some may think is a bad thing, personally it makes no difference to me.

I loved the place. Beautiful atmosphere, hospitality was perfect and as every time i visit this place i never been dispointed.👍😋

We visited again and found the food to be excellent. Decent value too. A unpretentious good quality restaurant. June 2023: On a rare night without children about, my wife and I decided to try "Cedar". We were not disappointed. Sides and mains were very good and reasonably priced. We ate our fill and the bill came to just over £40. Lavatory was spotlessly clean also! Recommended.

The food, generally the kabsa rice was dry and taste old but the chicken and lamb were good and juicy. The hummus and falafel were good as well though it’s a bit salty.

Simply divine authentic Lebanese cuisine. The place is decorated so prettily, and the service is great. We ordered a couple of starters, all of which were fresh and such a nostalgic trip . The kabsa and Mixed Grill were simply melt in the mouth, and the desserts were so amazing that it's hard to judge each of their plate bcz simply everything amazing 😍 Highly recommend for the food and the ambience!🥰

The food is very tasty and amazing,? Large portions especially the Kabse. The shawarma is full of spices. It tastes the same as Lebanon's food. When i took the first bite of the shawarma, it made me remember all my memories in my beloved Lebanon. Best service

Really disappointed. The guy who worked there was nice but my friend and I had the same chicken dish and it was so dry. My other friends meze looked nice but she said it had no flavour. Had to go to the toilet and it was the worst I seen in a restaurant.

By pure luck . Google maps sent us here. This is an astonishingly lovely place.pure lebanese food /Arabic music. Ambiance is wonderful. And the food........yummy yummy . I think this will definatelly be on my list to visit every time I am in Portsmouth

Excellent customer service - They were very hospitable and accommodating to my strict dietary/allergy/gluten-free requirements. All staff encountered were very pleasant, friendly and professional.

We went because the place had so many reviews, but unfortunately it was very disappointing!! We ordered taboleh, vine leaves(warak edab) and shawerma wraps.. the taboleh had a lot of lemon juice in a way that is making it so sour, vine leaves tasted like the canned one but worse because it was heated, shawerma was just so dry, the wrap was mostly fries.. have been eating Lebanese food for a long time, this place isnt even close to average!
