A decent amount of vegan options, which was very refreshing! Best Swiss buns and flapjacks I’ve ever had! Amazing quality. 4 stars only because more vegan options would be fab! Staff seem quite tired and maybe overworked.

My one visit to date - when in search of breakfast food - was gravely disappointing. Many items on display were unlabelled. The staff seemed uninterested in actually serving customers. And the bacon-butty I ended up (the only easily-identifiable hot-food item) with was too greasy and in parts inedibly tough...and the coffee bitter!

Went in there for the first time today. All of the food I got was good. Definitely be going there again

Cavendish bakery vegan pasties were given out at the Eastbourne marathon. Never had vegan before. Probably the nicest pasties I've tasted. And will definitely visit the shop next time I'm in Eastbourne.

Popped in to buy some lunch for myself and the wife, the food was absolutely wonderful, staff friendly a real find, will definitely be coming back.

Staff have dirty hands after taking the money from customers, then, they serve the food, make sandwiches, touch buns....disgusting and unacceptable! One person should serve the food, second to take the payment, please, do something about it!

Good selection of pastry. Hot and cold. Girls working very friendly.

Food always great, service always great. Sometimes a little crowded which puts me off going in due to covid and other infectious illnesses that could make my Son who is undergoing cancer treatment seriously unwell. Food and service excellent though just wish customers would not be so ignorant and wear masks to protect people less fortunate than themselves.

Top food, top cakes, quick service, coffee isn't bad either.

I love this place! The women here are so friendly and welcoming. I miss this type of ordinary interaction! There's no scripted 'Have a nice day', thank goodness. You know they mean for you to have one by the interaction you've just had with them. Although i rarely have anything other than a cup of tea (as I'm counting the calories) the food looks fresh and amazing. And it's spotlessly clean. I will treat myself at some point to a Bath Bun.. Remember those?

Bakery is open early in the morning at 7am. They offer delicious fresh baked products. My favourites are the crispy croissants. Friendly atmosphere and nice people makes your morning bearable. 😊

Perfect pit stop for builders, I had some work going on at my flat and decided to treat the builders to breakfast. Great breakfast rolls good coffee and really friendly staff. Thumbs up

Great service from the whole staff.

Appalling. Had to ask for extra filling to my roll as the portion was so tiny! (she dropped some on the way from the bowl but didn't think to replace it). Then I had to ask her to come to the other end of the counter to serve me something else while she just stood in a daze (great customer attention). Asked for it all in a bag and she managed to put half in, so I had to ask her to finish the job. With staff like this, the place needs no enemies.

Old school treats; sausage rolls better than Gregs; and they have, as my wife calls them, Belgian bums.

Opens early, but I didn't notice anything special about the nicely boxed, but slightly chewy croissants at 95p each

Really great bakers, reasonable prices. Great selection of cakes and bread. I use it for a bacon roll or sausage roll for breakfast always tasty and freshly prepared for you. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Covid measures in place max two customers in shop at any one time. Well used by builders and contractors in mornings. thoroughly recommend this place.

Lovely staff, great choice of bakery grub, much of which is is very good, some of it is a fair price too. Overall, a very pleasant experience, speedy service and nice food.

The staff and coffee was nice but the bacon had clearly been heated far too many times that it was rock hard.

Lovely food from here and great staff. Just wish they would use their long baguettes and cut them up to use for their filled rolls. Much tastier than the small takeaway rolls they use.

The amount of times I driven past this bakery and thought “one day I must check that out” but never did until today. It’s a great bakery, exactly as bakeries should be, with tempting treats which taste as good as they look! It’s hard to find a bakery that lives up to the nostalgia for the ones of my childhood but this bakery hits the spot. We had hot sausage rolls, Belgium’s buns, gingerbread men - all served with a smile and a reasonable price. Last note - as someone who has recently been shielding covid - I thought the hygiene was excellent and would confidently shop there!

My favorite bakery in Eastbourne! They do the BEST cheese and onions pastries in the world! Hardly suggested if you are looking for a take away lunch and you don’t want to spend lots of money but you still want to eat good food!

My grandma got me treats from there like Swiss Buns and the cream slice which they don't seem to do anymore. Anyway, I have been away for a while so the first thing I did was eat there when I got back. Had the Steak and Kidney pie, Traditional pasty, Donut with cream and the Swiss Bun. The Swiss bun is a must because that sweet icing topping is so damn good with the soft bun. If I could go back in time I would have the cream slice again. BRING BACK THE CREAM SLICE

Hadn't been in here for a while but needed a little treat for a friend & they exceed my expectation. Cheese scones still as tasty as I remember but also purchased a couple of Apple turnovers, I first thought that £1 each was a little extravagant but I was oh so wrong. They are well worth it as they're bigger than most apple turnovers I have seen, with nice size chunks of Apple & not smothered in sugar like others that I've had in the past. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Cavendish Bakery to anyone who is looking for good quality savories & pastries.

Haven't been to Cavendish Bakery for a couple of years but they didn't disappoint, the standard was just as good as I remembered. Staff were as welcoming as they've always been & the produce was excellent. I would highly reccomened this establishment to family & friends.

The problsm I have with Cavendish Bakery is that I spend far too much money in there on bakery items becasue it's so good.

Always popular for a tasty midday snack, the meat n potatoe pie is awesome! Been a favourite of mine since the 80's and still excellent value.

Hygiene problem. The staff handle the bread rolls without gloves and handle money with the same hands that's not washed. Doughnuts are far too sweet and the white cream is tasteless. My family and friends won't be going there anymore.
