A mixed bag really. The staff seemed tense and stressed on arrival and departure. We visited during the Easter school holiday period and many patrons had brought children who appeared to be around the minimum age of 10 years who were understandably excited but it made for a very different atmosphere from what we expected. The cats seemed very content and all appeared to be beautifully looked after but we left feeling overall that we wouldn't wish to repeat the experience

Had an overall negative and overstimulating visit to the cat cafe in Liverpool. I have visited quite a few cat cafes, including this one a couple of years ago which was a lovely experience. However this time they must have changed the rules to allow children under 10 to visit the venue which completely changed the intended “relaxing” vibe of a cat cafe. The children were ignoring all the rules waking sleeping cats, chasing them, screaming, poking them in the face with the toys. Not once did I have a chance to pet a cat (you know which I paid for) and I genuinely couldn’t watch how distressed some of the cats noticeably were. Even though I booked an hour I had to leave after 30 minutes, genuinely awful experience.

me and my boyfriend went here today and we stayed 15 mins and left, even though we had an hour slot. the cats seemed so stressed out and sad and had no interest in anyone or the toys- i felt like it was cruel. it was so so busy there was nowhere for us to sit either and everyone was just pestering the cats- i felt like it was really awful as i have had cats and it’s very much “cat chooses its person” not the other way round. i would really reccomend this cafe have allocated seats for people, a rule of not touching the cats unless they come up to you (like other cat cafes do) and also limit the amount of people in the cafe as the cats have all this stress on them and it’s not good for them! the staff seemed nice enough but there should be more limits as seeing grown adults lying down on the floor and chasing cats around who are obviously trying to get away, with staff saying and doing nothing to prevent this stress on the animals, is so so sad. it really was not what i was expecting and i really hope you read this review and change the environment so it is less stressful and busy and people behave.

Had a wonderful time here, it is the second time I've been and this time it was a surprise for my Mums 70th birthday. We had some lovely complementary cakes and plenty of the free drinks as usual... I highly recommend the chai lattes and mochas! We were quite late arriving due to some dodgy student protest going on in the city centre (lol) but Cat Café still let us have our allocated time span without charging us any extra. Thanks for that. I can't remember the cats names but they were great, when we arrived four of them were on our table to greet us and we had plenty of fun fussing them.

Slaked my son's thirst for cats and had a lovely chill. As he is 6, he is only allowed in between certain times, which is fair, but he got his fill of our furry feline friends. Half-term is the only time we can make it, so it was busy, but they're very accommodating. Nice coffee - so important - and chilled cats to drink alongside. He wants to go again. And again. We will, it is well worth the visit. Thank you to all the staff and kitties for a lovely time 😽

Nice place with good drinks and a lot of lovely cats, experience was somewhat ruined by stress from children running after cats, trying to pick them up, and disturbing them when theyd clearly had enough. There is a 12 and over age restriction on children being in the cafe but this didnt stop a lot of children clearly under that age from coming in and being generally unpleasant towards the cats with no real intervention or checks from the staff. Was generally a frustrating experience and because of that I would not recommend that cat lovers visit!

We booked online and turned up for our hour allocation on a Saturday morning. We were let in and there are 3 levels, with plenty of cats all over and seating on each level. The drink and food service is on the ground floor and they will bring what you want to you once you told them your table number. Drinks are free which is great (we paid £15 for the hour) and the hot chocolate with marshmallows was great. They also do food but you pay for that separately. You can also book tables which seemed alittle odd to me but overall a good experience and very friendly staff.

The cat cafe is a beautiful, calming environment for him and we spend 90 mins each time we visit at a cost of £30, which is great value for money considering how much enjoyment he gets out of playing with the cats and talking to the friendly staff members about cat facts. All drinks are free as well which is great as I can sit and enjoy a few cups of coffee in peace while he wanders about chatting with the cats. Highly recommended 👌

Very posh cat cafe. It charges by mins you spend in there, for example, 15 mins is 3.75, and 25 mins is 6.75. You can order unlimited drinks and pay for extra food. They mostly have long fur cats. Their cats are very clean and soft, a lot of rag dolls, and they seem well taken care of. You can’t pick up them but only touch them, which makes it tricky because they walk on the first floor and the second floor, and there aren’t any cat toys on the floor due to the biggest capacity is 35 people, so they can't put anything on the floor, so you won’t be able to play with them properly or find other ways draw their attentions without giving them food or drinks. It's okay cat Cafe. Could have better management.

I have always liked the idea of cat café as I am a cat lover. The place is very well kept and very clean. The cats are wonderful and many are purebred. You pay on time so you're quick to spend a little. The price includes unlimited drinking (very nice idea) while if you want to eat you pay extra. In my opinion the service needs to be improved. A little confusing...you get a little neglected, both for the tables and for everything else. A somewhat chaotic environment given that everyone is going around looking for the cats. On the one hand it is nice to be able to pet or get close to cats but on the other it creates an atmosphere of anxiety. Too many children running back and forth (stressing the cats too). The anxiety of having to keep track of the time so as not to exceed the deadline. They won't kick you out, but we exceeded the limit by 5 minutes (among other things due to a late delivery of breakfast) and we paid for the extra half hour. All in all it was a pleasant half hour!

It's a regular cafe but with cats. The prices are higher than other cafés (in order to care for the cats) but that's completely ok when you're surrounded by so many gorgeous cats. Every time I've gone it's been easy to have short conversations with other people or the staff there about the cats, the atmosphere is really easygoing and comfortable because everyone is there for the cats. One time I went with my friend who left his backpack at the café by accident for around 20-30 minutes and when we realised where he had left it, it was perfectly fine - nothing stolen. The café has fostered a really safe environment due to all the restrictions in place to keep the cats calm. I always love coming here. The food tastes great and there are vegan/vegetarian options available.

As a cat lover, I've been to a number of cat cafes over the years. This was one of the first ones I visited and to this day is still the absolute best in terms of experience and value for money. You pay £15 for an hour of cafe time, and that price includes all of your drinks. They do serve food as well at an additional cost; which is a decent sized selection of toasted snacks and cakes. The best part of the cafe; of course is the cats. They're all super friendly and an absolute joy to be around. A recent addition is the arrival of two snow Bengal kittens which absolutely made my day. I lost track of the time playing with them! The staff are all amazing too. They're all very knowledgeable about the cats and very friendly; everyone I spoke to was up for a chat. They also make an absolute amazing cup of coffee which in my opinion tastes much better than high street brands... and considering you can order as many as you like in your cafe time as it's included in the price it's a bargain honestly. I suffer from anxiety and depression and when I'm having a particularly bad time I always come here. The atmosphere is incredibly soothing and nothing calms me down more than being surrounded by cats. This genuinely is one of my favourite places to be in Liverpool. Thanks so much. :)

I am so glad that I heard about this place. I booked online (£15 and worth the money) and was greeted warmly by a member of staff at 10:00, which is when the Cafe opens. I was the first person there, which made me shy. The members of staff were very patient and did not rush me. As everything was new to me, I wanted to take the time to observe my surroundings. Some of the cats came over to greet me and some of them sat on my lap. When I ordered, I also explored the place which was very clean and there were lots of places for the cats to sit. There are three floors and the cats are able to roam. One is not allowed to pick up the cats (which is obviously a prudent rule). There were many cats to see and also some of them like to hop on the tables to sniff your food. One is obviously also not allowed to feed the cats. I was more concerned about seeing the cats and I did not really mind what I ate. The background music is nice and suitable. More peope attended and it was nice to see them interact with the cats. People were seated on the ground floor and then others sat on the level above so the place was not too crowded. I personally would rather attended when there are not too many people in the cafe. I recommend this place 100%.

My boyfriend and I visited Liverpool Cat Cafe on a scorching hot day in July. We had high hopes for a great cat-filled experience, but our visit had its ups and downs (literally). Firstly, I would recommend trying to visit on a quieter day if you can, as our visit was during a busy time. We had booked online, assuming we would have a reserved table, but that was not the case. We ended up walking up and down the stairs twice across the 3 floors in an attempt to find a free table and get a number to order food. This initial confusion was a bit frustrating. Unfortunately, the only free table we could find was on the top floor. It was stuffy and had only one fan trying to cool the place down, which was not quite enough on that hot summer day. This made our visit less comfortable than we had hoped. The biggest disappointment for us was the interaction with the cats. There were 2 cats on our floor, and both were fast asleep. The only interaction we had with cats that were awake was when we were waking up and down the floors to get food ordered, and when we left. It left us feeling a bit disconnected from the main attraction of the cafe as this had cost £30 (without food and drink). If you're a cat lover, it might be worth giving it another try on a quieter day when you can sit on the first floor where the majority of the cats seem to hang out and hopefully you have a more relaxed and enjoyable visit. The concept of a cat cafe is charming, but our experience was a bit hit-and-miss.

PLEASE bear in mind, if you would like to go as a family to this cafe, you will need to go at a certain time, which is in the morning. The website does stipulate child-friendly hours, however I was dropping by and didn't expect there to be a restriction. Neither would I presume that would mean children of a certain age are excluded in hours outside of this, I just would have thought it was geared more towards children in the morning. For this reason, we were turned away. We were offered a leaflet, although I had already explained by this time that i don't live in the area. Please note this is my child's review: It's ridiculous, chilren under 10 cant go in after 12:00. The lady was so rude then after she said we couldnt go in she offered us a leaflet. I don't see the point in having a leaflet if we weren't going to go in.

Unfortunately this is one of the worst cat cafes I've visited in Europe, the cats are beautiful and very well groomed, the cost is 15 pound per person for one hour and unlimited drinks, the drinks machine was broke so no drinks? But we still paid full price, the two biggest let downs is the cleanliness being really below what it should be, the 2nd floor really has a strong oder of cat urine, at all the cat flaps throughout the cafe the smell is quite strong, and the biggest problem being all the kids chasing the cats around usually in the cat cafes kids under 12 are not allowed and over 12s are to respect the cats space this is not the case here at all and a lot of the cats are flighty because their personal space is not respected this also means that when you are sitting quietly enjoying the company of the cats multiple kids from other groups will approach your table and scare the cats away, now I do not think kids and cats don't mix but I do feel the staff should pay more attention to the welfare of the animals and less time chatting in groups around the counter, this would make is a much safe and more enjoyable experience for everyone

The cats are treated well and obviously cared for and loved by the staff which is good to see. But theyre often asleep Shame youre charged so much to sit in a cafe or I would go back

Took my daughter here for her birthday, I mentioned in the booking notes she was celebrating her birthday and her favourite cat was Rose, when we arrived Rose was waiting on our table for us which was such a beautiful touch. Coffee was really nice and the team were all very kind. All the cats were so beautiful and friendly too.

It is so bad the food was horrible there. Only a few of cats there and i was not allowed to go in yesterday because it was the afternoon children below 12 is not allowed. Then, we had booked tne next dat at 1100am. But the receptionist dont let us in. But they let two people who didńt booked got in before us. The place was overcrowded, no seat at all, fleas bitten my feets, not enjoy there at all.

Had a great time at the cat cafe. Booked the birthday package for my little girl. Her name was spelled wrong on the envelope which she found funny but I'd recommend double checking to the staff. Drinks were lovely. You have to walk down the the bottom floor to ask for more drinks which was fine for us but people with mobility issues would struggle, unless they requested to be put on the bottom floor. The cats were gorgeous, we had a ball stroking them.

I decided to go to this cafe as the one in Manchester closed down so I wasn't able to visit again having visited 3 times. The experience in Liverpool was honestly quite mediocre. There were three floors which meant that the cats were far more spread out. I came with another person and we seated ourselves on a two person table on the second floor. We were delighted that quite a few cats were near us as they were very keen on the paper bag we had. However, the issue was that other customers proceeded to stay right at our table which made the entire experience very uncomfortable. From what I remember from the Manchester store, it was encouraged to not follow the cats and to have general etiquette with other customers. However, throughout our entire experience, we had other customers practically on our table and really disrupting our time with the cats. The cats roamed freely so there were plenty opportunities but it was overall a very uncomfortable experience with comeplete strangers constantly at our table and interrupting our time with the cats. As you may imagine, it is generally very uncomfortable for strangers to swamp your table constantly. I wish there were more house rules to reinforce etiquette, especially the etiquette that Mancheter had as everyone respected each others times with the cats. We also ordered a hot chocolate that was quite bad. Overall, the cats were beautiful and I'm so glad that they enjoyed our little paper bag. The cats were so adorable and really had no issues with them. I'm a cat owner myself so I can tell they're well looked after. I just wish there was an encouragement of etiquette and a deterrent of monopolising the cats at other people's tables.

We had a very disappointing visit to the cat cafe today. First of all, i'd like to state that there was nothing wrong with the cats, the venue/location or overall business, it was the patronising and rude staff. As a frequent visitor of cat cafes I was excited to visit one during my stay in Liverpool. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes to get in as they were fully booked - this wasn't an issue. Once we were allowed into the actual cafe, we went over to one of the cats which was in a box and fussed it. A few moments later a child throws themself on the floor making the cat worried and scared. A member of staff told us "The cat is asleep give it space" when the cat was fine before the child arrived. We moved upstairs and were looking at another two cats and were then told the EXACT same thing by another member of staff. The final straw was when we were talking to others guests at their table with two cats sat on the table which were loving some fuss. Another member of staff said that we were "overcrowding the cats" when there was plenty of room around us and the cats had chosen to be there with us. This took place within 10 minutes of our visit. We were extremely frustrated and upset as we visit cat cafes when we travel. I would only support the business by giving donations to support the cats as I do not believe the staff deserve my money when they speak to customers that way. It was extremely patronising, disrespectful and sarcastic of them. We left a complaint with the general manager who is supposedly speaking to their staff, as it was simply unexceptable. We have been offered a free visit if we were to visit Liverpool again and we weren't charged for our visit. The lady at reception was very shocked and disappointed, she was extremely kind and respected us. The staff should be ashamed of themselves as their attitudes were highly unprofessional and reflected a poor business model. I 100% support the staff telling off customers if they were harming the cats or being unkind, but by making sarcastic comments 3 times in 10 minutes...it is completely wrong. As a cat owner, I know full well how to look after a cat and what they like, if anything children should be the ones to keep an eye on. We witnessed a child repeatedly touching a cats tail whilst it was asleep and they were not told off.

I finally visited the cafe today and as much as I wanted to really love it, I didn’t as such:( during my visit there was lots of children and a boy chasing the cats down the stairs so they mostly kept hiding and not wanting to come to our table. We noticed another table had been given a bag of treats but we weren’t offered any but they nice couple shared them with us. The drinks were really nice and the food I can’t fault that I just wish it was more interactive and no children allowed as I feel they surrounded the cats constantly and scared them. It was really cosy inside however and the cats are very well looked after, I’m hoping maybe my next visit is a little better:)

Place was great, staff clearly very much care about the cats and wellbeing of them which is important to any cat lover of course! Emma particularly helpful and friendly and accommodated our needs. Birthday cake went down a treat. Latte very good. Cats were amazing. Thoroughly recommend.

The cats were all so cute! The only issue was they were all asleep and only one was roaming around. Drinks are unlimited too which I was quite happy to hear about :) I ordered a cream cheese bagel which was quite nice too I felt bad for some of the cats though, it advises children under 10 aren't allowed and there were some kids in there who were definitely under 10 (about 6 years old?) Someone had yanked the cats tail when sleeping too, poor cat, I really hope this isn't a common thing here. Overall it was a good experience, we did pet a few gently whilst asleep and didn't seem to be bothered about it. Although I wish more were awake so we could interact more, I think it's a hit or miss depending on when you go to the cafe

Super place to enjoy a drink, food and the company of cats. They come n go as they please, so it's great when they decide to interact with you. The staff are very friendly, happy and know all their cats very well, so can tell you the different personalities, who likes to play, who likes attention etc.

Came with friends, booked a table but when we got there they couldn’t fit us on one and had to split up, then brought the wrong beef burger claiming they had no chicken ones left, but never mentioned
