Excellent place for breakfast; Brilliant food, served by friendly and professional staff (& there was 9 in our group!) Definitely a good option to start your day!

OMG had the most amazing belated mother day today with my mum, mum in-law and sister in-law. Mazz was the best host he couldn't do enough for us and the Liv music that started after 3 was a lovely extra. The food was lovely and plenty of prosecco.

Top Class food and staff. Not a very lively bar but that’s ok, That’s not what they are trying to do. Really nice cocktails. Their food in particular their breakfast is unbelievable. Would definitely go back.

As first time visitors of the lovely city called Liverpool we hadn’t the foggiest idea of where we’d go for breakfast. Walked around the city hungry, no phone service at the time to find a decent place we stumbled upon Castle St Townhouse thinking “This place will be as good as any.” only to find out it was better than any. From the good food to the lovely and friendly people serving us. Everything was absolutely top notch. Immediately asking us if we’re alright and if we have any allergies was a massive plus for us and made us feel very welcome. We’re not the biggest fans of breakfast but I do love me some typical English breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans, sausages and all that) and this was probably the best food we had during our whole stay in Liverpool. The apple juice we ordered was very fresh and definitely the best I’ve ever had. Keep doing what you’re doing. Next time we’re in Liverpool there will be no if, buts or maybe’s about where we eat. We’ll run straight to you!

Went with friends for bottomless brunch. This was my first time at Castle St Townhouse, had boss time . Food was nice and prosecco fresh. Would recommend this place.

I paid £34.10 for a glass of merlot; a pint of lager, half a pint of Cider and a diet coke. WHAT A RIP-OFF!

I'd say we visit here pretty regularly, but I prefer it a bit earlier in the evening as it can get pretty busy and the bar area is a bit tight. The service from most of the bar staff is fast and efficient (one or two though are more interested in looking cool and chatting to girls at the bar). There's a decent range of beers and obviously loads of cocktails etc. Last time I had a zero alcohol lager it wasn't great (erdinger) but I've not ordered one since so may have a better selection now. When ordering short drinks you get a proper glass for single measures, which is actually unusual round these ways, so it's nice if you're just wanting to have a relaxing drink and not get too drunk. Pricey place though, even more so than most in the area, but it's a good bar with usually decent music. Just pick and choose who you go to to get served!

Good Food at a reasonable price and a nice ambience too. Just that the waitress could have been a little bit better than throwing the bill at our table.

Went in when it was reasonably busy (4th March 23), there was a small space with seats between the front window and the bar. The doorman watched as we queued at the bar and paid for a reasonably expensive round of drinks. We then sat down and then got told we were 'in the way', I explained that there was nowhere else to go as it was so busy, I was l told by the doorman in a patronising way that he didn't care and to 'just get out of the way' weirdly though we were in the corner and not in anybody's way? I was disgusted with the way I was spoken to and immediately left, leaving my friends and my full drink behind, will never go back.

Popped in for impromptu brunch and were not disappointed. we availed of the 50 percent off menu in January and it did not skimp on service, portions or quality!! Would go again for the full price!

We were staying in a hotel on the same street and decided to pop in for lunch on our last day in Liverpool. Once we got there we were told that breakfast was on till 1pm, lunch started at 1pm - which wasn’t what we wanted but we decided to stay for breakfast as we had a train to catch. The decor was nice, the place was clean. The customer service started good, we got seated quickly and our order was taken quickly too. It wasn’t very busy, I’d say 4 tables were occupied by small groups. Once we got our food, we had to ask for missing cutlery, nobody came back to ask how our food was, nobody came back to take another drinks order. Most of the staff were at the back of the restaurant chatting. I ordered the eggs florentine but it was missing the eggs. Not sure how that’s possible but once I managed to get hold of someone, they just served me eggs on the side. Not ideal as that’s not what i ordered and as my bf started eating, I had to wait to find out what was going on. Out of curiosity, I asked (politely) what happened and all I got was ‘I don’t know, the chef was confused’. They tried to charge us £55 for a disaster meal, ignored and to chase them around for a little service. The lady made me feel like a burden for asking and made me feel like it was my fault. It even got to the point where my bf had to go up to the desk and make payment even though we asked to pay several times. I can understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t and they had plenty of staff! I wouldn’t return, which is a shame because my bf enjoyed his breakfast.

We were over for a game and found this place by accident, and what a find! Had a few drinks on the Saturday evening, nice chilled out bar. Good tunes and just a great atmosphere - staff are class. Some random guy recommended the brekkie, so we said we'd try it the following morning before the flight. Absolute great brekkie! Couldn't believe how they transformed in place in a matter of hours. They cook the brekkie fresh as well, but worth the wait! Good coffee too. Hats off guys, see ye next time we're over!

I visited the townhouse with a group of family and friends to celebrate a 60th birthday. The staff were extremely accommodating, arranging for our group of 15 to sit together, and the waitress was out of this world. Friendly, efficient, and really helpful, she made our time there the best it could be. We had the Bottomless Brunch, the bubbles flowed freely, and the food was great, with excellent portion sizes. Thanks to all the staff at the Castle Street Town House.

The "manager" didn't want to give us a table because there wasn't and had half an empty restaurant. A garbage of a place. I don't recommend it. And the manager is inep.

Stopped in for breakfast today. The restaurant is clean and comfortable seating. Food was delicious and lovely coffee. Staff were very nice and took the time to have a chat. Definitely will eat here again.

It has two steps. I asked inside if they had a wheelchair ramp, for my wife who is in a wheelchair. The staff inside said no. This venue is therefore not accessible to wheelchair users. It needs to purchase a ramp as it is a legal requirement under the equality act.

Lovely location and great food, beautiful presentation and it tasted amazing. They were doing 50% off food as well. Lovely decor which gives an upmarket feel and the staff were incredibly professional and polite.

We only stopped in for a few afternoon drinks. Service was excellent - very friendly and helpful. Drinks were a little pricey but otherwise a pleasant time was had.

Expensive place, for what it is... 1pt lager and 1 G&T (single) just under £18.00...and the gin was served in a hot glass... very strong smell of cooking/cabbage pervaded the whole place.... possibly deemed trendy, but we would not return. Left after the one drink and went elsewhere as there is lots of choice in the area.

Absolutely 💯 we were looked after, service was wonderful. Very nice cocktails & drinks. Recommend all day long.

Great pub for young ones to get the party started , great atmosphere, good music , gets quite full so makes it uncomfortable at times . Barman very friendly . Good place to go if your young but make sure you have enough money as drinks are very very expensive .

Had a lovely breakfast here last saturday after a heavy night on the town. The food was superb and served in next to no time, the staff are friendly and the prices were ok, decent atmosphere so all round a great experience, highly recommended.

This is a great place to have a drink and the staff in the restaurant are polite and accommodating but let down by the kitchen. TBH the food was very poor. We opted for a Sunday dinner which was not well cooked. The roast beef was tough and the vegetables were limited and portion size was small. At £17.50 it should have been better.

Ordered 2 meals and 1 kids meal, drinks arrived quick, 30-40 mins later no food had arrived. 3 tables who came after had already been served so I asked the staff they said it had been reordered (I assume this means we had been forgotten) which happens I understand. When the food finally arrives the child meal didn't. We never said anything as said child was restless anyway. When the bill came the childs meal was on there. I asked for it to be removed as it never arrived to which I got questioned on whether I ordered it together etc. I got a weak apology and nothing more. On the other hand our food and drinks were very nice.

Recommend the roast dinner here, it's really nice. The pasta main meal is also lovely. Portion sizes are really good too. The staff were brilliant and a credit to the restaurant. Also, the live artist on a Sunday adds so much to the experience. Will definitely be back...

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table. Ordered two full breakfasts. Lovely food, especially the sausages. Also provided with water at the table. However, we weren't given any glasses for the water, and the waitress couldn't answer simple questions such as what time the breakfast menu was available to, and what the soup of the day was. So maybe a little more attention to detail from the staff, otherwise they were very friendly. Nice atmosphere.

Bottomless brunch was fabulous! The food was surprisingly good (usually at these things the focus is the ‘bottomless’ bit). Our drinks were constantly being topped up and the staff were friendly and attentive. I’d definitely go back…I’d like to try some more of the menu, it looked great.

Sat on the patio and enjoy people watching in the Hometown of The Beatles with 1977-79 "disco music" like a soundtrack to a live existential urban landscape was almost surreal. The Mocha was great and "Donna Summer" the funkiest!

I love coming here but unfortunately I had which could possibly be the worst pint of Guinness I have ever had which Is a shame but even workers looked over to see how the pint was being poured but nothing was said.

Comfortable and atmospheric. Steak slightly over cooked but still delicious. Huge full English which was great but black pudding was burnt. Would recommend.

Came here on a whim after a long days work, turned up in our work gear , treated like royalty despite everyone else being dressed for a night out, could not say enough about the staff here, fantastic service, made to feel welcome, will be sending every person I know to this place after the way I've been treated today 10 stars ✨

Got the French toast. The bread was Not brioche as the menu stated. It was okay. But slightly over priced for me. Hardware is close for better value.

Fabulous lunch. The Fish and Chips were great and the tomato soup and chicken supreme was excellent. Great atmosphere and vibe.

Lovely accommodation, right in the centre of the city, close to Cavern Club, shops, Port etc. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Monday night, it wasn't very busy. Just an Aperol Spritz and a double shot of Bushmills £19 - price about on par with other local bars. Nice easygoing music playing inside, barman welcoming and happy to make drink that wasn't on the menu. Really enjoyed our short visit, shame it wasn't busier to boost the atmosphere.

We enjoyed a pre-show dinner here. There's a reasonably priced menu, the food and service were excellent, and the Long Island Iced Tea was as good as I've had anywhere in the world. Almost all the cocktails can be produced as mocktails at a very reasonable £5.00p each. We were there early on a Friday evening, and there was a live singer on.

Had such a lovely time for my partners birthday. Came for lunch and the staff were so chatty and attentive. I didnt feel rushed to order after asking for more time to look at the menu. The hostess especially was really lovely. Definitely would come again :)

We went for breakfast and we're not disappointed. A bit pricey for a full English, but it is an upmarket bistro so you kind of accept that. Service was friendly and professional and the meal size (see pic) was definitely good. Well cooked, tasty food was just the tonic for the morning after the night before.

First visit here, for father's day, and the place was buzzing. Chose the Sunday roast option and the food was 1st class. The waitress was very helpful and keen to make sure we had a great time.

I went here for food and drinks last weekend for my friends birthday and It was fab! Food was lovely and the service was brilliant🍸 Sinead and Dave were amazing with us. They were really lovely and good fun and made sure we were happy with the service throughout .

Called in late morning on a busy Bank Holiday (29.05.23). Delightful experience. Eggs royale and full breakfast both plentiful and fresh. All the staff were friendly and attentive especially the lady overseeing things. She wanted every customer to have the best experience, so attentive. We'll be back.

We booked the bottomless brunch on Eurovision weekend. The food was lovely especially the truffle chips and avocado sourdough. Staff were friendly, down to earth and although it was really busy, they made sure we always had drinks. The only thing I'd say is we wish there were cocktail options for the bottomless brunch as it's only a choice of prosecco or beer, but still a boss deal !! 🤍💫

One of staff out said was very rude, you can't treat customers like this.
