Casanova Italian Restaurant in Conwy

We went here for a daughters 8th birthday with 10 family members. We had a warm friendly welcome. service was amazing they were very attentive at all times. The food was lovely good portion sizes and very tasty everyone had a lovely time and can't wait to return

Booked a table for me and the wife 2 days in advance. Got to the venue 5 minutes before our allotted time to find the restaurant completely shut! No lights on, doors shut! (Bear in mind this was well after the apparent 5:30pm opening time). Decided to head down to another Italian restaurant down the road which was absolutely amazing. Fair to say won't be booking Casanova again!!

It was a very nice meal we had. We ordered Carbonara ( you can choose the pasta of your preference) and the Pizza Casanova ( it had ham, pepperoni, cheese, etc. You can look at the menu they have). Both dishes were very nice! We also had ice cream as dessert that personally was super tasty! The service was excellent 👌👌

Expensive for what you get could have eaten 2 OK for kids won't be going back

Fabulous service from Mortuz & his team for my mum’s 90th birthday celebration. We ordered our food in advance & everything was perfect. All the staff were friendly & efficient. A great evening!

A great restaurant with lovely food & a friendly atmosphere. We were there to celebrate my mums 90th birthday & there were 13 adults & 4 children. We ordered our food online ahead of time & everything was perfect. All the staff were very attentive & Mortuza (the boss) was fabulous. We will definitely be going back.

All OK. Nothing outstanding though, from service to decor (retro 80s italian restaurant.. quite liked it) to food. Ordered veg lasagne, was nice enough, though I can't say I there was any veg to be found. Disappointed with garlic bread ... bloomer bread, toasted with garlic butter. Did ask about a pizza base garlic bread ... response clear and to the point, "no". Most notable of the evening was the price of pretty crap wine at over 8 quid a glass.

Good authentic Italian restaurant, well stocked with lovely food and wines. Friendly service but not heard of balsamic vinegar!

We stumbled across this little Italian restaurant as several others were fully booked, I am so glad they were! This place is amazing. The staff were wonderful, very helpful in relation to my nut allergy but also engaged my young son throughout. The food was fantastic, my calzone was amazing, my son's pizza also looked good and my wife had a wonderful looking pasta. I would highly recommend a side of garlic bread! For dessert it had to be tiramisu, again we were not disappointed. The allergy advice was very thorough!

I'm not one for italian food however this place definitely did not dissapoint me. My friends and I decided to eat here because "why not". While we didn't expect to be seated we were able to get a window table instantly. The pizza was wonderfully baked as well as they cooked our steaks exactly to how we wanted them. Service was very professional and respectful the whole way through. Definitely a hidden gem sort of place.

Do not eat here if you are thinking of Italian food

Came here late on a Thursdays evening, was easily fitted into the restaurant to eat. The food came out in reasonable amount of time absolutely piping hot. Will defo return lovely food and friendly staff

6 of us ate here on Saturday night. We all thought the food and service were spot on. Highly recommended - we will definitely return.

In llandudno with our 1 Yr old. Found this place by chance (it's up a flight of stairs). Wasn't sure at first as it wasn't very busy when we arrived but so glad we gave it a chance. The staff were friendly but not overbearing. Service was prompt and food was hot. We had the carbonara which is the best I've had in years and the spag bol which my partner loved. The bruscetta was very tasty too! It was quite laid back and a few families in which suited us. We were looking for somewhere to take a child where we wouldn't be distrupting other diners who didn't have kids. I imagine later in the evening it would be more couples, but we ate early and there were more families. Drinks a little pricey but would definitely go back.

Such a shame . We visited for a big birthday of mine exciting time with the family . Worse place ever . We walked in and started we had a table booked and were pointed to the table . After 20 mins i had to ask if we could order drinks . 45 mins later they took our order . another 45 mins and the starters came out . THEN after another long wait we received our main courses . My daughter who is a vegetarian received a pepperoni pizza . I politely complained and five mins later a cheese one came out , it looked like the meat had been picked off but we said nothing , then the final straw was she bit into a piece of peperoni . i told the owner who said it must have fallen on the pizza from another pizza and started argument stating this . No one else was eating pizza . It ruined our night my daughter was nearly sick . Such a shame my birthday meal was ruined . He did knock the price of pizza off and a coke but still at £121.00 for a bad meal its not worth going . Look for other places to go . We certainly will . ( there was a lovely very polite girl that worked there tbh )

Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while looking for somewhere to eat on Wednesday 16/08/23 We were not disappointed. The food was amazing, plentiful and stayed hot till the last mouthful. The gentleman who served us was knowledgeable regarding everything on the menu. Asked about allergies, which fortunately we had none. If your looking for somewhere peaceful mid week I highly recommend you try Casanova. Service, food and wine selection was excellent.

It was empty when we arrived which we thought was unusual, the food was okay, not amazing wouldn't go again and was expensive £8 for a glass of wine!

Walked up stairs and greeted warmly to an old fashioned but cosy restaurant. Ordered cheese garlic bread for starter. Was OK but needed more garlic. Thought glass house wine expensive for a cheap glass Merlot, tasted a bit week. Presuming 12 per cent. Ordered cannelloni . I was disappointed. I'm sorry to say was very bland no taste or substance to it. Service friendly.

Decent old school Italian restaurant. Kids loved the squid starter, chicken cacciatore was hot and fresh and the sea bass was perfectly cooked. We all ended up having a dessert as well. All in about £30 a head, including drinks. Would go again on return to Llandudno. 👍

Great experience eating here for my daughters birthday. Good food, lovely service and decent value for money. Was a bit quiet, but it was a wet Monday evening.

Fantastic meal. All of our party had different things and everyone was very pleased with the food and very attentive service. My children enjoyed the melon and fruit. Great to have half pirtuons of pasta. My steak was the best I've had in ages. Thank-you we will be back! Highly recommended 👌

Dreadful food, awful staff grotty surroundings. Am puzzled at the amazing reviews for this place and lack of balanced reviews. We were served by a young lad with no knowledge of the menu or people skills. The place was dusty and chintzy like we'd stepped back in time to a 1970s Italian restaurant and it definitely needs updating and the food was terrible. Our brushcetta starter was plentiful and big enough to share but bland and dry, no olive oil or balsamic to give moistness and flavour and the tomatoes hadnt been marinated or had any flavour at all really. The mains were brought out while we were still eating our starters! Big portions. The veggies in the veg pasta were hard and tasteless and I suspect, pre frozen. The parmesan was not parmesan just some shredded tasteless white cheese and it was frozen so with the water content it went mushy after being sprinkled on hot food. My seafood pasta was awful, chewy overcooked calamari, rock hard prawns (frozen again I suspect) and the tomato sauce was unbearably spicy, it was packed full of raw chilli and was horrible. Raw chilli does not belong in a seafood pasta. I was asked if my meal was ok and I nicely informed the waiter that it was quite spicy but he seemed to take offence to this and launched into a lecture even though I was polite about it. He took great joy in loudly pointing out that the dish always contains chilli and that the menu states the dish is hot. I did not notice that as its a footnote, the main description did not say so but I was tired after a long day in snowdon so my bad. He became argumentative and rude however and embarrassed me on using cream to tone down the heat as I felt uncomfortable returning the dish. It was just unnecessary I found him quite condescending to women tbh. It was a steep £8.50 for a glass of house wine and the bill was very high with no concession or apology made about our experience. The waiter brought the debit card machine to my table twice without asking and we definitely felt obliged to get going even though the restaurant was practically empty. I will never eat here ever again after the way we were treated and wouldn't recommend it.

Decided to have an Italian meal as the restaurant was near to where we were staying. Firstly our table was wobbly so the head waiter put screwed up paper to level it out. We ordered drinks and then ordered starters I.e. mushrooms in breadcrumbs and a bowl of olives. The olives were the cheap ones you would buy in a big jar then olive oil was poured over the top. The breadcrumbs on the mushroom were too thick and hard. Then the mains came my husband ordered prawns in a cream and stilton sauce. The prawns were awful and hard like packet ones that had been defrosted and thrown in the sauce it was served with a bowl of overcooked thin chips just thrown in a dish. My Lasagne was missing the main ingredient I.e. Lasagne pasta ? Overall a total let down. Bill was £59.00 . My husband paid but told them it was disgusting. He was ill all night.

Lovely little venue Not overly priced Was very quiet , we arrived mid week at 8pm Good Choice of food and drinks Our meals were good sized portions I got a different meal to what I ordered but never the less it was still extremely tasty ! I wanted the chicken in a white wine mushroom and tomato sauce and got Chicken in a Garlic white wine sauce , deffo didn’t see any tomatoes ! My partner had carbonara , he’s a small eater , but he enjoyed what he had! Two meals , a pint and a large wine = £47 Would we go again ? Yes x

Good food and relaxed atmosphere. First night in Llandudno so we hadnt made any plans and this was a last minute booking but we weren't dissapointed. There is a nice choice of food which suited everyone in the family and we had a lovely table by the window overlooking the church.

Arrived at 7 o’clock with three kids ordered food starters came 45 minutes later not great very average after waiting 1 hr 15 min still no mains three hungry kids waited and waited ended up leaving with no mains service shocking would not recommend at all very bad experience 😢

Loved it here. Its a hidden gem. It's a shame because it is so lovely, yet very quiet and small amount of customers. Food was delicious, especially the garlic bread and olives! Staff were all so lovely too, couldn't do enough for you. Definitely recommend.

Really good food, variety and decently priced

Staff were friendly and accommodating to get us a table. However, we had to wait a long time for our drinks (they actually forgot) and the food was not really up to scratch (more that the food was not cooked to the traditional methods of the dishes we actually ordered and expected to arrive).

We were in search of some good Italian food and unfortunately Casanova failed to deliver. The minestrone was liquid in search of vegetables, the penne arrabbiatta was overcooked and absent of any chilli (the mildest arrabbiatta I've ever eaten) and the cannelloni seemed to have been a reheated meal from the local supermarket. A redeeming quality, however, was the attentive and friendly service of the waitress. I'd recommend steering clear of this establishment if you are in search of good Italian food in Llandudno!

Had a weekend in Llandudno and visited the Casanova Italian - stumbled across it but were we glad we did. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. I had a Med/Rare fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, Hubby had pasta and was not disappointed....

We were in no rush, the waiter couldn't have been more pleasant, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed it as much as we did three years ago and are glad it was still there.

We came to dinner two consecutive nights. They were very polite and friendly. Food was marvellous and very nice environment. The lasagna was great as well as pasta carbonara, pizzas and savoury crepes. We will come back next time we come to Llandudno

My wife and I plus two kids (6 and 8) went to Llandudno for the weekend and ate here on the Saturday night. Serving staff were friendly, food was great and the overall ambience was good too. I had swordfish and vegetables, my wife had prawns, youngest had spaghetti Bolognese and the eldest had scampi and chips. No complaints from any of us. Would definitely return.
