The best Spanish restaurant. Everything is so delicious, especially the paella - generously packed with seafood! One of our favourite spots in Ware. Service is always very friendly and accommodating.

Fabulous tapas bar. A little taste of Spain in the middle of ware. The tapas was great the beer was splendid. The hostess who I assume is the owner is very friendly. Next time we will try the wine 🍷 Will be back for sure

We had a lovely evening in this rustic style restaurant. Service was knowledgeable and excellent, by the wife of the chef. The menu offered a good choice and wasn't too large, which for myself means that the menu is changed on a regular basis. A real bonus. The excellent of wine choice was in keeping with the Spanish food on offer. We shall visit again, of course.

I hadn't been in years but it's still just as nice as I remembered it being. The food was incredible especially the octopus special. Highly recommended.

We went in this place 2 times in 1 week. Have been in there 10 times sine we moved to the area late October from London. The food is amazing, super fresh and massively traditional. I always look forward to getting in there after booking. Love that place. Strong 10 out of 10. Thanks Casa, see you next week.

We have visited Casa Lua over many years and have always enjoyed ourselves. However on this occasion we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The white bean casserole was undercooked and tasteless. The chicken thighs were well cooked but bland. The Patatas Bravas were hot but just had a spoon of tomato sauce on top, with limited flavour. The bread was pretty dry and did not come with oil or other condiments. However, the chicken livers were delicious and the garlic mushrooms very hot and tasty. Hopefully a little more effort in cooking and flavouring the dishes as this is one of our favourite venues!

Lovely authentic local tapas, highly recommended for a cosy meal for two, or friends get together. Book early / in advance!

This is the best meal we have had in a long time. Food and service was impeccable. We will be back and bring friends next time. It is very small and we had a bar table which was very comfortable.

Just to make you aware, supported this restaurant during the pandemic, so thought we’d order another takeaway, as the website still advertises this service, only to be told by the rudest women that we no longer offer this service, I said thats a shame we’ve just picked a lovely meal for this evening, to be told and I quote “tell me, what do you want me to do about it” Never again will I set foot inside this establishment. Remember the hard times you had and the support you were given. Very short memories and all about the money again, wishing you all the very worst of luck !! As you can see, I had to give one star as you can’t give a minus or a zero score.

Amazing food and excellent service

There was a lovely atmosphere and all the tapas dishes were superb! However, we found the tapas selection to be quite expensive for the amount provided in each dish. We were still hungry afterwards!

After phoning and confirming that we were on coming for dinner we were dismissed at the door at 21:00 as they had closed the kitchen and bar for the night… really?!!

Visited Friday Night (23rd Oct ) Casa Lua had been recommended by my Daughter . She was Not Wrong , The Whole Evening was 10/10 . The Staff were Attentive but not overbearing , The Food , We had a Selection of Tapas , Was Outstanding and we never even got to the "Specials " . Close your Eyes we could have been in Spain .The Wine ( Rioja ) was as Expected , Top Class. My Partner and I were Thoroughly Impressed and will Certainly Return .

If this authentic Spanish tapas bar should ever close, I think I might move out of Ware...... no, Hertfordshire! If you can get in (space is limited), you're in for a treat! Try the Spanish brandy 🤪

Fantastic food and lovely service!

Excellent cosy restaurant. Food was amazing - best meal we had from our week in Ware. We had six tapas between the two of us and we were tempted to order more as they were so good! Desserts were also really good. Staff very nice. Only piece of constructive criticism would be that the service was a little slow at times, with only one person attending to the whole restaurant at points, but it wasn’t a big deal. Will return many times I’m sure.

I used to live in Ware and had not been back to Casa Lua for 5-6 years. I have to say its the best Spanish restaurant I know of in the UK.Prawns cooked to perfection, calamari, easy to overcook, but it was perfect. Meatballs with tomato sauce were lovely. Steak, spot on. Glass of Rioja.Service was great. I would happily get on the rattler from London to Ware to eat here again.

Don't normally write restaurant reviews but was so impressed with our take out from Casa Lua last night. Just rocked up at the resturant and ordered from the specials board and main menu. The food was expectly packed, quality ingredients, healthy and absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Well done Casa Lua in this difficult time.

Just had take away from this Spanish restaurant and it was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this hidden gem can’t wait for it to reopen after the lockdown.

Fabulous little restaurant. Great selection of tapas dishes. All delicious. It is difficult to book a table as it is a small restaurant and very popular, but well worth advance booking.

A good wide selection of both and cold tapas and daily specials as well as the extensive menu.Completely authentic and an absolute delight. The Pimentos Padron are always cooked just right, the croquettes are as good as in Malaga and the meat dishes are of the best quality.

I love this friendly restaurant. They offer a wonderful range of well-priced tapas in a warm welcoming ambience. I teach Spanish conversation classes, and brought my local group of students along for a Christmas meal here in December. The waiters were wonderfully patient, allowing everybody to order their food in Spanish, and the meal was absolutely delightful We were not hurried out even though we were the last people there. Excelente!

Another superb meal. Absolutely gorgeous as always. Beautifully cooked and really tasty. We had the Calamari, prawns in garlic and chilli, chorizo in red wine, chicken al romesco... has the divine Spanish sherry dessert wine for pud... highly recommend. The staff are lovely send friendly, it is a small and intimate venue with an amazing chef. The best place to eat in Ware.

This is a little gem. We popped in here without a reservation and despite being very full we were lucky to get a table. The staff/owners are Spanish/Brits (I think husband/wife and other relatives - though can’t be sure). The restaurant is small (compact and bijou with a warm atmosphere and pleasant decor. The tapas selection is quite extensive and, as frequent visitors to Spain, I can say that the food is totally authentic. We ordered 4 different tapas dishes which were served with extremely tasty fresh bread. Simply divine! As locals this will definitely be a regular choice for us.

Just a birthday dinner on a weekday with family. Food was very tasty- so much flavour in every tapas dish we ordered. Venue is very small so it’s advisable to book before arrival. Our favourite tapas were: steak, Gambas and mussels were outstanding.

We always get a warm welcome here. The food is extremely tasty and the wne list complements the food brilliantly. You can savour as many tapas dishes as you wish safe in the knowledge that whatever you choose will be tsty and satisfying. Remember to book because there aren't many tables and it gets very busy at times.

Tapas were excellent service quick and efficient. Didn't know there was a garden will definitely return before summer is over.

we like the Spanish ham, the chorizo, mussels, prawns and lots more. The bread is nice too ... The food is genuine and attention is paid to details.

We have now eaten at Casa Lua twice and have really enjoyed both our meals. The food is delicious and a world away from the rather dull options available elsewhere in the area. The service is all one could hope for. And it not expensive. The only problem is that the restaurant is small and popular - so it can be difficult to get a table. However they do have a small garden which they open when the weather is good. We ate there on our most recent visit, and it was delightful.

One of the best restaurants in Ware - gets busy so call ahead! The fried peppers are excellent.

Authentic and delicious food, cosy ambience.

This wonderful Tapas bar is as authentic as you can get without having to fly to Spain. Daniel and his wife were very hospitable, helpful and accomodating. All the dishes we had were excellent. One thing we didn't expect on the menu were ribs. The fell of the bone and melted in the mouth. Manche cheese and Spanish omlette also very good, as was the wine.

This place serves real fresh Spanish tapas cooked superbly . The staff are Spanish and are very passionate. It is quite small with simple decor but it is always busy and booking is advisable, the bar is for walk ups only but gets full very quickly . We enjoyed some perfectly cooked octopus, gambas pil pil , anchovies, mushrooms , presa iberica pork , patatas bravas and 2 bottles of lovely Spanish wine , a white Alborinio and a red Rioja, everything was very good and so reasonably priced, they could do with smartening the place up a little and then it be 5* .

Went here at the weekend, first time and I am a lover of tapas. They have a good range of dishes ranging through basics such as cheeses and meats to some specials.

Visited on a Wednesday evening. Small restaurant with not many tables. Food came quickly and was very good but drinks orders were wrong twice. Not told about specials on the board. Waiter was struggling to understand what was being said. Overall really good but need to improve customer service.

The food here is always delicious and fresh and the service is always good! Casa Lua feels so authentic, you almost forget you're in Ware. A must for tapas lovers!

Such a shame that a place likes this that offers something a bit different has such miserable and unwelcoming front of house staff and bang average paella.

Booked ahead - small restaurant - tables close together - warm welcome - seated - orders taken - 4 tapas - gambas - not a favourite - but made up by pickled mackerel pork cheeks and meatballs - crusty bread to mop up juices/sauces - problem with tapas meal over in a truce – good experience - thank you
