Great food, friendly staff. Atmosphere was good. Better for meeting with friends than for a date.

2 disarrono doubles for 26 pounds... unbelievable. Plus service charge when we sat at the bar. There was very little value for the money we paid.

Can't fault the place, lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and quick service. Have heard the owners are very good to the staff too. What more could you want?

Nice cozy place with spanish vibes and live music. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff worked really quick. They served carefully, nicely. Recomend this place. Big choise of food.

I recently had lunch in Casa Lola, and while the food and the atmosphere were delightful, the service left much to be desired. Despite the tasty dishes, the overall experience was married by rude and unprofessional service. My feedback is that management or the owner should prioritise improving the service to mach the quality of the food.

Bit limited on vegetarian options. Portions are enormous which either means you only want to order 2 things, or you feel bad having ordered 3-4 and then there being far more than you can realistically eat.

Staff were friendly and cheerful. I had the lunch set which was delicious and fulfilling. The espresso was proper and the Crema Catalana was scrumptious. The toilet was really clean too.

I hadn't been for a while, then went twice in as many weeks! Very tasty food, very good service & a lovely 'holiday' atmosphere. Lunch menu was good value & something for everyone, with half-price wine too! Evening was great, myself & my friend shared a Tapas Tower, plenty to eat! Delicious 😋

Note: Never actually ate here when we visited but could not reduce the stars! We have just moved to the area and stumbled across this lovely tapas bar/restaurant. We had an amazing evening. Danced all night to Andy who is a resident there once a month, playing the guitar and singing, he had everyone up dancing. The staff were brilliant and the drinks were lovely too and very reasonably priced. A real gem in Caterham and we cannot wait to come back!!!

Really authentic Spanish restaurant, like stepping into downtown Seville. Great atmosphere and very busy with live music from an amazing guitarist when I was there. Can make things a bit loud if it's busy so choose another night if that's not your thing. I ate the vegetarian paella which was a bit disappointing and I know what a good paella is as I've just returned from Valencia! But to be fair, paella is a speciality restaurant dish so I can't be too critical. The other dishes looked great and the staff were really good even during the Christmas party rush time!

Went with my wife and another couple and had a great night. Lovely food and service ,Andy the singer was brilliant. Will be going back very soon.

What a brilliant night. From the moment we arrived staff were attentive, friendly, professional and efficient. Food was delicious, as we were a big group we had a set menu, all loved it and plentiful. Live music on the night we went, but don't think that's all the time, however, we got a fabulous meal, great service and a boogie too. Top class evening out. Highly recommend! Thank you to Claudia and all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Overrated. Paella for two was very small compared to standard original Spanish paella (the picture doesn’t really show how small the pan was), it was insipid, the mushrooms were raw and was watery. It didn’t taste like a good paella. The lady who took the order was eager to sell us a lot of other specials but when we said we’d start with the paella and then we’ll see afterwards, she made a strange face and she walked away. All the other waiters were nice and attentive though. Another thing: there was this man singing so loud that we couldn’t hear each other at the table. Way too loud, my ears are still ringing, poor staff having to hear him for hours. The atmosphere would have been better just with some lower music in the background. Not going there again.

I have not been here in a few years after being a regular for well over a decade because I moved away. The quality of the food was good as always same qith tge drinks. It was all new staff and the restaurant vive has completely changed as a result making it much more welcoming than before. It's clear that the staff genuinely get on very well and are very attentive. Overall it was really nice to be back and as always I highly recommend.

What started as a joyful evening finished with a unpleasant experience. The welcoming was very nice and accommodating to dietary requirements. Waitress took down our order and stated that the order can take 30+ minutes due to cooking time which is understanding. Food arrived to which was very nice but was not stated that with some same food orders it comes together i.e 2 chicken skewers ordered came as 1 plate setup for 2 not sat next to eachother... one ENTIRE mains was missed off which when told to the waitress said she was not told but remembered that persons starter (mains and starter ordered together) with zero apology offered except putting the order in now and waiting another 30+ minutes while everyone else had finished there meal by that time. Same waitress then avoided all interaction with the table from taking plates away all the way down to the bill. Once we checked the bill we noticed the oysters was still charged for when they had informed us they had no oysters so we never actually got them... for what was very nice food, the service did not match by any means unfortunately and will be avoiding using this establishment in future.

Poor vegetarian option. Ordered vegetables but they were bland, had no seasoning, and were mainly raw except for the mushrooms. The desserts are good and generous in portions. I would like to visit again and give them a second chance.

Patrizia is an excellent host of this unique bed and breakfast. Enjoyable breakfast with fresh fruit and croissants. We stayed three nights. Nothing was too much trouble. A lot of personal information about Bologna. Very central location for walking around Bologna.

Unfortunately, it seems that this restaurant is taking advantage of the fact that many of the people that visit this restaurant aren't able to distinguish between good and bad quality food, judging by the high ratings this restaurant has. If you're a "foodie" and appreciate quality cuisine that uses quality ingredients regardless of price, then stay away. It's quite clear that this restaurant is using cheap, poor quality ingredients. For example, the alioli is literally just cheap kebab shop garlic mayonnaise that they've bought in bulk. Tastless, processsed and generally poor quality. Considering the price of their dishes, I would at least expect them to be making their own alioli. The calamri were also shockingly poor quality, and again it seems as though they've just bought them in bulk from a from a cheap frozen foods supplier. The batter is just a cheap breadcrumb mix (calamari shouldn't use breadcrumbs for starters) and has a layer of unexplained processed slime between the batter and the squid rings. Very bizzarre - a foul, tasteless texture. Depending on what you order, some of the dishes will be absolutely swimming in oil, such as the garlic chicken. This actually wouldn't be an issue if they were using high quality extra-virgin olive oil, but again it's clearly just bulk-bought cheap vegetable oil, which is not good enough considering prices they are charging. I could go on and on but you get the idea - cheap quality and generally tasteless processed food at unreasonably high prices. The service was actually quite good though so I will give them that.

We’ve visited here with friends for a birthday and were lucky enough to have the love music and dancing!! Fabulous evening and Amazing food!!! Then we’ve just had a takeaway delivery, which was once again amazing!!! Huge portions!!! Love this place!!!

We've been visiting Casa Lola since it very first opened years ago but haven't been since Covid. What a shock! Who's idea was it to stick plastic hedges between all the tables?! Terrible! Also why take off the lovely spanish tiles and replace them with that ghastly green fabric on the walls? Not sure why this was done but it's totally spoilt the decor. The food was fine (same menu as usual) and the staff were all very pleasant and efficient but they need to be as you now have to give your table back after one hour 3/4. Not even two hours. Tapas here used to be quite civilised but not anymore. However, I expect the management don't care as the place was rammed by people who obviously don't mind shovelling their food down at record speed whilst being totally hemmed in by plastic shrubs......

I visited on Valentines night (coincidence, I was there on a work trip, so not as a couple), so it was going to be busy, but me and my colleague hadn’t booked a table…! The staff were already setting up for couples as I/we arrived a 6:30pm. We were met by a young Spanish lady (part of the ownership team?), she said she could squeeze us in. She explained everything to us, made us feel like regular visitors, even though this was our first time. I ordered the pork shoulder, it fell off the bone, lush. We also saw many couples arrive, they were each treated like royalty by the older gentlemen (owner?) and the other staff, welcoming many couples as they arrived, like true valued customers. The whole experience was great, the lady who looked after us was excellent. You have to visit; so clean and immaculate, with an amazing atmosphere and hosts.

I came here for the first time on a date and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a selection of Tapas and a couple of cocktails. Everything we ate and drank was perfect and a friendly service was ideal. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely visit Casa Lola again.

We had the most wonderful evening here! The food was delicious - every single dish! The cocktails were lovely as was the sangria. The best of all though, was the amazing service from Thomas! He couldn’t do enough for us and was so kind. We will be back soon!

I brought my friends here on 29th September on my recommendation having been here before. The service provided by the staff was unreal (we all work in hospitality but this was even far and beyond anything we could have ever expected) Thomas is an incredibly friendly and personable waiter and a real asset to the staff. We’ll certainly be returning soon!!!

Nice food although what I ordered I could have easily made at home. Staff where not as welcoming as could have been. Decent meal out if it’s one of those nights you can not be bothered to cook but I wouldn’t host my birthday meal or celebration in here

What a lovely place. The food was great and the ambience even better.

Delicious food, brilliant staff and great atmosphere

Service was good, tapas was good, slight language barrier when it came to a few orders. Also I has a chicken and chorizo skewer and it was so dry (think it has been left under hot lights and dried out) and didn't come with any sauce at all. Deserts were massive and tasty.

We recently went for a lunch catch up with friends and the service and food were brilliant. Staff are attentive and friendly.

Christmas party of 20. We all had a thoroughly good time. Food very good. Drinks flowed. Waitress and manager with personality and professionalism. Could have done with better organisation before the event IE a confirmation of the receipt of the £400 deposit, knowing I'd paid when I rang them the day before, answering of phones, ETC.

This was really great. We have the tapas and it was delicious. But the star of the show was the tiramisu. It was the best one I've ever had, and if it's on the menu I order it. Definitely going back.

Riñones al Jerez very bad. Tasted like they were cooked on the grill then dumped in the sauce. I lived in Spain for 4 yrs so I know how these should taste. Sorry, but you have not done these properly

Easy ordering process online. Great selection of Spanish food. We ordered Spanish sausage, Patata Alioli, garlic prawns, Galician octopus and a couple of the paella. Really enjoyed receiving food reminded us of many wonderful holidays in many parts of Spain 🇪🇸. The food was as good as many restaurants or Tapas bars in Spain. Well done to the team.

Good food great staff good atmosphere

I’m shocked to see this restaurant had so many 5* reviews. Food was below average but the service was astonishing. The waiters would walk passed and literally drop the plates on the end of the table with no consideration. After ordering our starters we ordered our mains straight away. We waited over half an hour for the food and it wasn’t even busy. When speaking to the waiter he just brushed it off and said it’s coming. The waiters were evidently more interested in us buying alcoholic drinks. At the end of our meal there was discretionary charge of £15, we didn’t feel the service was good enough to pay the whole amount. When the waitress asked about it my partner explained and she just took the bill and walked off with a poor attitude. We won’t be returning.

Staff don't really acknowledge you when you go in. When I asked if we could order more drinks, the response was 'I was going somewhere' from one of the staff. Very rude and arrogant. The food is sub-par. Wouldn't recommend at all.

From the moment you arrive in this place the personel give you an excellent feeling. Very comfortable waiters, it is a kind restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. Great cooking, skillful chief cook and stuff, comfortable cost and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

Went to Caterham last weekend for the first time and popped in here for an impromptu lunch. My wife is of Italian descent and was immediately taken by its authenticity, as was I. Reminded me of happy times in Spain in my youth.I thoroughly recommend Casa Lola to anyone that loves tapas in a relaxed atmosphere, its very good value too. I jokingly said to my wife that "I bet the food here will be better than the fancy hotel restaurant" we were on our way to......it was.Well done.
