Casa Brasil in Portsmouth

Very n8ce family meal, with impeccable service, all staff very friendly and attentive, son even had a lolly to take home from the boss, great value for money:-) Also happy hour 2 4 1 cocktails goes down very well ;-)

We went to casa brasil portsmouth for my birthday treat. Unfortunately I booked too late to get a free meal, but I did get 241 cocktails. It's a great place to go to and you certainly leave feeling full! The food was good, and the meats were really tasty. Staff are attentive, and the atmosphere was good, we went around 6pm, busy but not too busy. I will definitely go back again 🙂

First time here, we dined here on a weekday and around 5pm, so we got there before the dinner crowd so we got served quite fast. The food overall wasn't the best but we had fun and the service was good. The good: large selection of sides and meats. A few of the meat dishes were really good. Unlimited sides and desserts!!! Yummy brownies and tiramisu. Try the cinnamon pineapple. 🍍 Great value for the price. The bad: Side dishes came out way too quickly which was already alarming. Most were quite horrible. The mussels looked awful tried one and it tasted horrible too. Had to send back the lasagna as that was inedible. Chips tasted like oil and they were already cold. From the 10+ meat that came around we only found about 3 that were actually great. Might give this place another go as I'd think the food is fresher when it's busy.

Good meal however it could learn a lot from its counterpart in West quay which is amazing atmosphere staff extremely friendly

Came here for my birthday meal and I must say this place is brilliant. Our server was excellent and funny. The BBQ meats were constantly coming when the card was green and the food was superb. Been eating at port Solent a lot but never came to this place. Casa Brasil Is my new favourite and will definitely be coming again soon.

Great place for a casual family meal. We took our guests to Casa Brasil and they’re impressed! Good selection of starters, with you can order as many as you want. Meat was well cooked and just kept coming - had to flip our card over a couple of times just to have a few minutes rest. Best of the best definitely was grilled pineapple with cinnamon we were so surprised that it is so delicious! Amazing staff and atmosphere with tasty drinks. We were so stuffed by the end that no one could manage desserts, ok kids grab something :)

Churrascaria in the Port Solent. As in each of these locations, the meat is served directly from the spit to the plate. I had 4 different types, sausage and pineapple. There were lots of different side dishes, something for every heart, including meat dishes, with no limit, as much as you wanted. Dessert, something sweet or coffee is also included. If you're a meat eater and like that sort of thing, this is definitely the right place for you.

Our first visit - it was my birthday - sadly we didn't know that if it's your birthday, you eat FREE so make sure you book for your big day! We had no idea how it worked but everyone was friendly and helpful and we soon got the gist. Well the food kept flowing and it was delish! The kids even ate plenty too and had a great mix of tapas sides and meats. We will definitely be back again one day - next time I'll bring a wheelbarrow so my wife can get me back to the car!

Not been since they stopped buffet salad so was a little taken aback & not told or read this happens anymore till we were seated.. They bring you a few salad odd bits for the table instead.. The food is decent with the meats a plenty *MY FAV THE LAMB* BUT what I think they fall down on is the choice of Drinks- Cheap fizzy Pepsi/Tango/7up doesn't cut it with me & sadly I don't think I'll return on this basis,How much extra would Coke/Fanta/Sprite be?? I don't drink alcohol so can't comment but please please sort your fizzy drinks out.. I love Orange Fanta or Iron Bru in an all your can eat Buffet (Cosmo Southampton Have Fanta,Iron Bru & Even Vimto as well as Coke R whites lemonade) I wonder how many other people think the same as myself?? I can only be honest & hope that Casa Brasil Restaurant take on board my comments about there Fizzy drinks as the food is Decent..

What can I say ! The staff outstanding, atmosphere (cos of most staff) outstanding. Food quality and quantity very poor. For that reason we will not return. Spent over £200 for food and drinks yet still hungry. We didn't turn our card but was ignored for well over an hour. Drinks extremely expensive (I was on the cola) but 2 members of our party drinking.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is incredible, food is hot and fresh, staff are really friendly and helpful! Really would recommend this to anyone and is great for group gatherings!

11 of us had lunch here on a Saturday, to celebrate my birthday. We had a very warm welcome, and everything was clearly explained. The food was excellent, plentiful and tasty, and served by friendly helpful staff. My older grandsons loved the concept of eating until they were stuffed, my younger grandson tried lots of foods he hadn’t tried before. My granddaughter had a great time, and much fuss was made of her. Family feedback agrees that we all loved our visit. It’s definitely a place we would visit again.

What an amazing place food is beautiful and staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble it was a very busy night but had someone come to the table as quick or as long as we needed in-between will defo be spreading the word to family and friends highly recommended 5* well done to all staff thank you for a great night

I haven't been to Casa Brasil in a few years but I must say, the food has most certainly improved, apart from dessers but it's not the end of the world. Amazing cocktail and atmosphere.

Very disappointed. It was like eating in a works canteen. Not good value for money, a bit of a rip off. I won't br going back. I only went because it was my sons birthday.

Can't really rate it as we didn't end up eating there. Had a table booked were sat next to a large noisy table of blokes who we thought we had escaped from at the pub. Asked if we could move table and were told there were none free, even though there were plenty of empty ones so we left and went elsewhere.

Just had an incredible meal at this restaurant and I couldn't be more impressed. The staff, the decorations and the atmosphere were amazing. If you want food value for money and great service In an upbeat venue then this is the place. For a fixed price you get plenty of BBQ food and all the sides you want from a wide selection. You don't have to worry about waiting ages for food because once you have your sides the staff continuously bring round meat for you to eat if you wish. I didn't know what to expect as this was my first visit but they explained everything very well including the card you are given letting them know you need a break from eating. Left very satisfied and full, will definitely be going back in the future!

AMAZING!! If you’re a Brasilian I would 100% recommend Casa Brasil. This is my second time going to the Port Solent one and both times were busy with a lovely atmosphere. I absolutely adore the treatment I have received both times, how friendly and kind the staff are (Marco especially). It is a huge bonus that almost all of the staff can communicate in Portuguese, and they will make you feel right at home. The food is top! The churrasco they serve is well seasoned and the variety even better, with the same being with the cold sides. Also with the unlimited buffet you get unlimited desserts, which delicious! Only criticism is that their “farofa” is really just farinha, and some cold sides aren’t cooked authentically, but that is honesty understandable and completely overshadowed by the taste and great service. Please keep it up! I will be recommending this place to all of my friends!

The attentive service and consideration for dietary needs, along with the pleasant atmosphere, certainly made a excellent evening for us. We have literally just left the restaurant and had to leave a review! Me and my partner where lucky enough to sit right in front of the meat counter and where royally spoilt with the amount of meat we where served. The food was sublime, our favourites had to be the beef, gammon, chorizo and chilli turkey, which where all cooked to perfection. The service in here is incredible and cannot be faulted. We where served by 9 different people in total, from managers, carvers, waitresses and even the person cooking the meats and every single person who spoke with us went out of their way to make conversation and to ensure we where happy with the food and the service. I would highly recommend eating here and if you’re in doubt whether to go to this one or the Southampton branch I would choose this one over and over again although Southampton is miles closer to us. Thank you for a lovely evening and meal, we will be back soon!

The service was top class. Paulo, one of the waiter's was exceptional, so was the manager. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Very enjoyable and delicious meal. I have a garlic allergy and the staff were very attentive, even though it was a busy Saturday night in December. Special mention re Philip who checked in on me regularly that I had plenty to eat. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing service cannot fault the food the foods outstanding but the waiters are just so friendly and welcoming. This is now our favourite restaurant and will always come to support them!

absolutely incredible dining experience with nothing to complain about. the service was spot on and we had an amazing waiter who was the perfect level of chatty and attentive and he made our nanny feel very special for her birthday. 10/10. i also had a lovely waiter put his heart and soul into making me a little lid out of cling film so i didn’t spill my cocktail. i want to give both members of staff a little forehead kiss. impeccable service and the food was incredible❤️

Enjoyed lunch here on a quiet Friday. Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. All staff encountered were really nice and engaging. Plenty of different sides and meat to keep our 5 year old happy too. Our favourite sides were the macaroni cheese, rice, pasta and potato salads. Favourite meat was the gammon with the cinnamon pineapple and the parmesan park. Chocolate brownies enjoyed for dessert. Favela larger went down well too.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Casa Brasil yesterday in Port Solent. Everything was perfect. Special thanks to the lovely guy who kept us supplied with delicious meat and a massive thank you to Paulo, for his warm welcome to the group, going the extra mile to ensure our visit was unforgettable. The meat is top quality especially the lamb. Staff are very friendly and a good atmosphere.

Had a lovely wedding anniversary lunch with my wife and our little lad , made our experience an amazing one! Can't say enough how good all the staff were with our archie who was wearing his quad protection which they thought was great! Made us feel so welcome and always on hand to see if we would like more food and drinks,. Definitely recommend coming here , even more so if you have kids as there interaction with them makes it a pleasure to dine! Will definitely be returning Thank you everyone at casa Brazil!

Fun evening spent eating at Casa Brazil Portsmouth. Good food friendly service happy staff. Thoroughly enjoyed a new experience food brought and carved at your table eat as much as you like.

Where do you start? Excellent value for money, great atmosphere, delicious food that is literally on tap and the nicest staff you could ever ask for. There was a guy in a black shirt and glasses who could have been managerial who stood out. Amazing with my 3 children and nothing was too much. All the staff are just fantastic

The sides were average and the meats were murdered burnt on the outside and practically raw in the middle. Won’t go back. The manager was very sweet but some of the staff seemed as through there were annoyed to be there

Used to love it but service was awful - 40 minute for first drink to arrive, 30 minutes for the second round. Not enough chairs around our pre booked table, sat in the middle and servers walked past us only doing the tables in the window, treated like an inconvenience for being a larger group, manager very abrupt and snapped at the end. Not the birthday experience we were after. Will stick to the Southampton restaurant.

Really enjoy going here. I have to go hungry. Never disappointed.

It's such a great place. Gluten-free is also a massive bonus. They're all happy to supply you and an endless chain of food. The setup of how they do things means no going up to a food bar and loitering around some food drying under a lamp. It's fresh from the bbq and cut on the side of your table. Endless sides and deserts , all of which are top notch. Clean and well presented establishment. Their slogan is "Arrive hungry, leave happy," and its accurate 👌 Recommend this place to anyone I know. Book in advance, and you eat for free on your birthday too 😉

I introduced friends from different areas of England about 25 adults and few kids .But the manager was very rude he actually told some of us to eat pudding while standing just because we had exceeded 4 people. He did not even give warning he just became very unapproachable and was not ready to hold any talks he kept running away and in the end he claimed that he had given us discount. But we were not interested with his discount all we needed was to be respected. Am a Portsmouth resident and this is the second time the same manager treated me this way I feel like he picks the colour and discriminate. The first time he was forced to apologise in the end but seems no changes. That was very bad for experience especially with kids chased out side. Food is great but with that manager running the restaurant on 7th October 2023 was worse ever I was shocked my friends were embarrassed

We visited Casa Brasil after a trip to the local cinema. The restaurant was only half full and not busy. When we arrived we waited for a member of staff to seat us. When I say we waited that's all we did as despite staff looking at us nobody actually approached us to greet us or take us to a table. My partner even politely called to staff to ask to be seated but she was ignored. After a solid 5 minutes of waiting we decided to leave and go to a restaurant which wanted our custom.

Extremely nice food and the stuff are so nice. I wish though they didn't keep bringing us red meat and bringing us chicken and turkey as well. Apart from that, I highly recommend this place.

This is only based on my personal experience. It was really busy, which probably didn't help. We were sat at the table then after about 15 minutes we had to find someone so we could order drinks which took an age to arrive. Then we had to wait for the food to arrive. The meat carver were getting it everywhere even over my white shirt. Then waited for more drinks. And I think it's expensive for what it is, they charge about £10 a head more on a Saturday then Monday to Friday.

The food was very good and staff apart from the manager on the Saturday evening (7th October )that we dinned were very courteous. Our experience was spoilt by a very rude manager. He allocated us a table after having a go at us and at the end kicked us out and suggested we could have our desserts while standing to free up the table for waiting customers. He could benefit from a customer service course on how to communicate with customers under pressure.

If you want good atmosphere go on a fri/sat night, if you want a good quiet meal Sunday is the day for you :-) always a good time

Waited forever for service, eventually went and got a waiter myself. David, he was wonderful and so apologetic for the way we had been treated. Telling me I didn't have a booking and would have to wait at least an hour for a table! I don't think so when it was booked 5 weeks ago. Thanks to David our evening wasn't totally ruined, but will never go back there again. Cheap meat at expensive prices. Totally disappointed, as we're my 5 other guests. Drive all the way to Hertfordshire to enjoy an evening with friends. A group of over 20 people. The staff and food was fantastic but the manager was exremely rude! Very cold and patronising and even asking some of the guests to go wait at the lobby for their desert! Hes a disappointment and let down to an otherwise brilliant weekend. If he has to work there he should go for customer service training.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Expensive but well worth it in my eyes. Food was amazing from the starters to the desserts. Cannot wait to come again.

Been here fifteen minutes, no Waiter has been to our table. Four tables seated after us being served before us. Totally not organised. Young staff very distracted. Its not even busy. Plenty of empty tables. However, once I'd spoken to the Duty Manager, it could not have been any better. As well as him apologising for the lack of attention, he did his utmost to make sure our group of 4 had the best service throughout the evening. No, it was not special treatment, but what should have happened when we got there. Thank you to all the staff for your attentiveness, politeness & service eventually. We will come back definitely, but hope it begins better than this time.

Food is nice when it turns up but they never seem to bring round the full meat selection listed on the menu. During our 2.5hr stint we had steak come over three times, pineapple once, sausages once with wings and that was it. Not worth the money

We came here for my birthday and were so excited, our first time in Portsmouth and visiting one of these restaurants. We thought the idea was brilliant. The dancing girls were fabulous and made the atmosphere a relaxed party vibe. The musicians were fantastic. The initial service was slow but okay, the sides were tasty, but it took a long time for the meat to come round to us, and we hardly got to try anything, we requested twice to try something other than sausages or pineapple but nobody came to us; not sure if this was because we were sat right at the front but we were really disappointed. We expressed our disappointment to the waiter bringing the bill and he was extremely apologetic, he gave us a discount (it wasn't my actual birthday so wasn't free). The experience started out great but we left feeling deflated unfortunately. The little bit of meat that we did have however, was very tasty.

So many restaurants to choose from but neither of us had tried tapas before so we thought we'd give it a try. Friendly staff explained the ordering system and then we were off ... sides ordered, staff slicing meats on our table, finished off with pud after pud after pud. Their slogan is you leave happy and full and it's true. We went in the evening and for a set price, you ordered what you wanted and it kept coming! Puds are, what we were told, sample puds so small, 2 or 3 bite portions but you can have as many as you want if you're a pudding person. Would we go again? A definite yes!!

Me and my partner went here for the first time on a Saturday night and safe to say I wasn't disappointed and will be returning! On arriving staff were able to fit us in despite being busy and took the time to explain in full how the system works. We ordered a few starters, which arrived very quickly, my personal favourites were the creamy mushrooms, fried banana, chopped salad and the potato salad which complimented the meats very well. I noticed lots of GF options which is great! A very frequent rotation of meats served and the majority of the food was good quality and cooked excellently! I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon pineapple and the sirloin steak which was offered to us cooked in different ways but the medium rare was by far the best and UNLIMITED for a very reasonable price! I also want to highlight how wonderful the service was, but in particular a man called Zach who served us the meats was extremely attentive to our needs, welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic about the restaurant and made recommendations to us as first timers! He was by far the best server we had and made the experience all the more enjoyable with his positive energy, as some other servers seemed disinterested, distracted and sloppy with delivery to the plate.

Returning to casa brazil for the 3rd time before deciding to post a review. I've always had a pleasant time here. Excellent choice of sides but this is meat lovers paradise, who doesn't love some cheesy meat.

Can I just say: whoever came up with the brilliant idea is a genius?! I love everything about this place! Great vibe and atmosphere from the time you enter. They also have a patio area you can sit at. The staff are attentative and come multiple times to check if you need anything. I love the whole concept of the meats being brought to. And wow what a selection of tasty meat they have. Eat as much as you want. They also have hearty sides which could be meals on their own eg: lasagna, pork and beans etc. Also unlimited and unlimited desserts. We went on a Sunday so it was £10 more than a weekday but it was still so worth the money. The service, atmosphere and food are something not to miss. Such a great place to go to get a break away from the norm. They also let you eat free on your birthday!
