Caribbean Kitchen Pot in Richmond upon Thames

I went there this afternoon for Lunch and it was honestly the best food. So fresh and good customer service. Highly recommended.

After having a few issues with a certain delivery service on a couple of online orders. I went to the restaurant in person to make an order to collect. Everyone was lovely and the food was awesome. My wife and I have just finished and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The large portion size for the curry goat we had would of just done us both but I ordered 2 so the bonus we have some for tomorrow.

We are so lucky to have this in Whitton, I love this place. Always nice to have the jerk chicken and festivals. The goat stew is my dad’s favourite. Highly recommend

The Fried Chicken with rice and peas is superb, it is a little bit of Jamaica in Whitton. I can only recommend.

My husband got us some take away as he was in the area on business. We had curry goat, jerk chicken, rice and peas, festivals and plantain. I think he said that he paid about £25ish for the lot. Very flavourful, great portion sizes and very authentic. We will be going back again when we are in the area. Thanks!

Saw great reviews about this place, so decided to go check it out! The customer service is amazing, the portions were really good and it was good value for money. The flavours were great, only issue was the jerk chicken was a bit too dry. We ordered two mains, two sides and two drinks which totalled to £45 altogether. We were struggling to finish our food, so had to take it home!

good service, good rice and peas, jerk chicken and pork is definitely made the day before or made early in the day and re heated and the plantain is always cold and dry as well.

A happy family business with a great and happy chef. The staff are always welcoming and the price of food is very reasonable because the portions of food you receive is more than enough and would be able to feed two if required. Highly recommend if you love Caribbean food.

Back again: Honestly, I've been debating what my favourite food ever has been. There's this little place in the Andalucian mountains which does something amazing with streak; my dads lamb and spinach peanut butter stew is still beyond belief... and then there is the goat curry here. When paired with the dumplings, it's been amazing me everytime. I simply cannot recommend the Caribbean Kitchen Pot highly enough.

Curry goat is nice but that is all. This was my first Caribbean experience and I'm not sure if I want to try again. Jerk chicken had no flavour, the sauce carried it all the way. Mac and cheese has too much pepper.

We first discovered Caribbean Kitchen Pot when they first started delivering their delicious fresh homecooked food on a weekend. We love their place, with it's sunny decor, the food is as fresh and beautifully cooked as ever and it's always a treat.

Took a gamble as we were in the area after watching rugby at Twickenham. Friendly from the start. We had the ribs and jerk chicken with rice and peas, dumplings and festivals and they were incredible. Couple of drinks and cakes and it came to barely £16 each. Would absolutely go again, and would recommend to anyone in the area!

So pleased to have found this place whilst on a day visit, we had the curried goat with rice and peas and jerk pork with dumplings, so tasty and great service. The people of Hounslow/Twickenham are very lucky to have this on their doorstep!

We wanted to find somewhere to grab a bite to eat before heading to Twickenham Stadium for the rugby but didn’t want the bun fight that is Twickenham on match day. Really glad we found it. Wonderful fish and goat curry and the staff were so friendly. They don’t serve alcohol but if you want some you can take your own! Will definitely go back.

Great food and friendly service. I particularly liked the goat curry which was recommended by the staff and a very popular takeaway item by the amount of orders which people picked up whilst I was there. The staff explained what all the dishes were as the menu is very authentic.

After reading the reviews, we decided to drive the five miles from where we live to give it a try. We loved it! Kevin and his son Shaun run a cosy restaurant with very personal service. We had the drink of the day which Kevin made from june plum and pineapple juice, amongst others. Soooo good and not too sweet.My favourite dish was the fried fish, beautifully seasoned and so fresh with a crisp skin. Even my husband who isn’t a fish fan was fighting me for it lol. I also enjoyed the curry goat and my husband loved the jerk chicken, salt fish fritters and slaw. We will definitely be back to this little gem! Please support small family-run businesses like this one who cook from the heart and want to share their passion with us. We will be back very soon!

Very tasty home cooked food in a homely setting. All our Caribbean favourites -loved the curry goat, ackee & saltfish & some lovely fruit juices too. Wish we'd found this place sooner & cant wait to come back to try some more dishes. Great value too.

Brilliant food, brilliant service!

Very good. We shared the goat curry and rice, jerk chicken and the ribs. I’m stuffed, really tasty and good size portions. I was going to take some pictures but once it was on the plate we just dived in and ate. Will definitely be going back.

It was my first time trying Caribbean food in Hounslow, as hounslow doesn't really have good Caribbean food. BUT this place Caribbean Kitchen pot is the freshest and best home homemade food you can find around here. Will definitely be a regular after this. I had a delicious, succulent Jerk chicken, one of the best jerk chicken's i've tried, seasoning and portion size was very generous. Mac and cheese was also very cheesy and creamy. I recommend this place for everyone. Good food and the staff are so kind and friendly. Will come back soon

Finally tried their food after all these years going past and was blown away, bought a wide selection of stuff to try and the flavors lingered all through the rest of the day so delicious and found the owner lives a few doors up the road!, definitely be back to try more of the menu soon.

Its okish nothing spectacular jerk chicken is dry rub flavours only on the skin curry goat not bad but could be better

I quite agreed with a previous reviewer...forget Turtle Bay where there is nothing authentic..keep your eye on the prize Caribbean Kitchen Pot.

What can I say, easily the best jerk chicken I've had in a long time! Real authentic flavors as the jerk is actually cooked on the BBQ. Will definitely be back and has made lockdown that much easier

I had walked by this restaurant several times as I work in the area and finally decided to order something for my dinner, I ordered the ackee and salt fish, plantain and festivals. Plantain was lovely, fully cooked and sweet tasting as they should be, the festivals I felt were a little on the small side considering I had to order a large ackee and salt fish, however the did taste really nice. The ackee and salt fish was tasty, but unfortunately was 80% green/yellow/orange/red peppers and very little ackee and salt fish so was quite disappointed by this as I'm not use to having peppers in this dish which actually would have been fine if there had been more, a lot more ackee and salt fish. For me this dish was more peppers and onions, so wouldn't order this again even though it was seasoned well. I would order from here again, just not that dish.

Oxtail is 100% sweet and sour sauce it even looked Like it before I Even got to taste it and when I asked the woman if this is oxtail because it looks like sweet-and-sour sauce she said yeah that’s just the oxtail sauce it is 100% sweet-and-sour sauce no doubt about it it taste horrendous

This spot obviously knows how to satisfy their customers. Constantly with a super nice approach. The food is fairly priced, regularly tasty and clean.

A very lovely Caribbean meal, authentic as it is family homemade. Reasonable price as well.This is not our local as we live 30 plus mins away but it is now, as it is so worth the drive to get a decent and tasty Caribbean meal

It’s so hard finding good Caribbean food in this area but this restaurant is by far the best one! The food is delicious and packed full of flavour, the prices are reasonable and staff are very welcoming. I’d urge everyone to go to this place and experience their brilliant cooking.

I am very impressed with the Caribbean Kitchen Pot. The meals are absolutely delicious and I have tried several dishes. The service is also very good. The chef and his wife are both warm, inviting and friendly. I have enjoyed dining in and also their takeaway service. The meals are always on time which makes a huge difference. I would easily recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out ( post lockdown) or just the takeaway service. Great atmosphere!

Had my lunch from Caribbean Kitchen Pot today, Jerk Chicken, Rice+Peas and some plantain and dumplings on the side. It was really tasty and a LOT of food.

Oxtail, the worst I've ever had, and although a large portion, only 4 pieces of meet. Curry goat, THE BEST, I've ever had, and a generous amount of meet, very, very tasty. Rice and peas and cabbage, nothing to complain about. I'll definitely go back for the curry goat and maybe I'll try oxtail again...perhaps the chef had a bad day...I refuse to believe that someone who can cook a curry goat so good can get the oxtail so wrong...unless there are two different people cooking... I had oxtail from a lot of places they were all very good, some better than others, but this was at the other end of the spectrum...however, a big 👍 for the curry goat!

Small, tidy, well lit and almost hidden by the pub next door. You are welcomed with very vood friendly vibes from the owners and it took about 20 minutes for our food to be ready. We had the Jerk, curry goat and oxtail. The goat was tender and well spiced, the oxtail wa silky smooth and the chicken was well done, uncharred and tasty. The take away portions are generous and we will certainly return again and again. I think the owners will benefit from taking advantage of web analytics and delivery services and taking this 'Gem of Whitton' far beyond the TW2 post code area. Well done!

Now the kitchen pot is open again to sit in went for a meal hand wash track and trace and social distancing in operation but the food and friendliness remain the same it really is great to see a family run eaterie rather than a big organisation being so welcoming and efficient after such a tough year well done to the kitchen pot great food.

Live round the corner but hesitated as am vegetarian. After being told how good it was by my son several times, he treated me to a take away. I couldn’t believe how much delicious food we got for his money. Callaloo, Mac cheese, fried plantain and rice and peas all delicious. His steak looked amazing. I’ll definitely be back with my husband!!

Great food, great drinks and great ambience! We have been to Caribbean Kitchen Pot several times now and we love it there. At our last visit, we had Ackee & Saltfish, Jerk Chicken, Sticky Barbeque pork ribs, plantain and delicious rum & raisin ice cream. They were all delicious and my husband also enjoyed the Guinness Punch very much. Thoroughly recommended!

Just had a meal of fish from the pot now it has reopened after covid absolutely beautiful as usual so happy its opened again with new outside decor but the great same people and great food keep up the good work.

Sat 11/7. 4 of us had a tasty curried goat takeaway, rice, peas, dumplings & plantains. Excellent food, good service and value for money. I highly recommend it.

My daughter recommended this place to me. I thought I'd try and see what it was like. My parents are from jamaica and I'm originally from Peckham second home of West indian cuisine outside of Brixton in London. Even on my visits to jamaica I've had west indian food, which is of course tasty and the real deal. Caribbean kitchen pot food is amazing, best I've tasted If I'm honest. The chef said to me, "can i taste the jamaican in the food", I had to agree 100%. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had a takeaway from here last night. Generous portions and absolutely delicious food. My fried plantain didn't even make the 5 minute journey home! Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Cracking food, beautifully cooked.

We have been to nine Caribbean countries, including Jamaica, and the self-proclaimed homemade cuisine here is 100% the real deal. The brown stew chicken was really tasty. The rice and peas helped soak up the delicious sauce from the chicken and we couldn’t get enough of the Callaloo. Although we didn’t ask for it, we received a portion of traditional Festival and fried dumplings. Again another specialty from Jamaica. For two people, this was more than enough for our meal. The portions are generous, the service very friendly and ambience with the reggae music playing in the background made for an enjoyable evening out.

for a genuine Caribbean meal without the gimmicks or dilution like some of the "bigger" chains get yourself here and try everything you will not be disappointed!!!

Food is okay, selection not so okay

Brilliant Caribbean food with a good selection on the menu, the hosts were very accommodating and stopped to have a chat and give recommendations!

I have been meaning to write a review for a while as have eaten from this resturant on several occasions mainly takeaway. Food on point, worth every penny, staff very friendly. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended and can't wait to order again although will be coming in next time as lovely decor and atmosphere.
