Brilliant coffee and nice little outdoor seating area. They also sell coffee and it's what I use at home with my machine as it is nice and full bodied! Also sell great prints from local artists, definitely check this place out if you get the chance!

My 8 year old visited for a soap making party. The children all had a brilliant time. Each made a box of 4 soaps which they were very proud of. Would definitely recommend.

Local cafe with an art gallery attached to it and ran by very friendly people. Possibly an hidden foodie spot in Roath too. Beautiful coffees and great local artist wares for sale.

This is my favourite place in Cardiff and being down a side street it doesn't get as many visitors as it should, although the regulars like me often enjoy the quieter atmosphere, perfect for little ones and anyone who likes a calm environment. The art is accessible and affordable and being a community interest company they have loads of interesting and exciting groups and projects happening all the time, including a sewing group, a welsh conversation group and many others. The food is beautifully cooked and prepared, with a lovely seasonal menu including vegan options as well as something for everyone, kids included. It's also very reasonably priced, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff (I have a very fussy child and substitutions for things on the menu have never been a problem). Visitors to Cardiff will be pleasantly surprised if they step away from the main streets and find this little gem in roath!

Great staff, good coffee and an excellent exhibition this September/October. I hope it continues to do well and shall revisit on next trip to the Capital.

A visitor to Cardiff I searched for a good cafe nearish to the Hospital. What a find! Friendly staff, wonderful art and craft all around and my falafel salad was absolutely delicious! One of the best I have ever tasted! I will definitely become a regular when I come to work in Cardiff in the Autumn.

Tucked away in Roath is this gem of a cafe. Excellent friendly service, very good home made food set in a gallery/ workshop with lots of interesting things to look at and buy. Not an extensive menu but all freshly prepared with lots of tasty local Welsh products. There is also a small outside seating area where dogs are welcome and a bike shop catering for the enthusiast alongside it. Highly recommend.

The food, the atmosphere and the owners are absolutely wonderful. Its very family friendly and seems to have turned into a hub for all sorts of artists. I would highly recommend it!

We called in to look around and shelter from the rain before watching the Cardiff World Half Marathon and the food smelt and looked so good, decided to stay for lunch. The right decision, as the soup and freshly baked bread, Welsh rarebit with salad, carrot cake, tea and coffee were soooooooo tasty. Later on,when the proprietor saw us watching the marathon in the pouring rain and howling wind she brought us a hot chocolate. What a wonderful gesture. Thank you!

I visited this cafe/gallery whilst looking for somewhere to eat near the Cardiff half marathon route. The ladie who run the place were very welcoming and served a lovely Welsh rarebit and salad. I also sampled their vegan carrot cake which was also cracking. I would recommend this place to anybody. Only problem with it is the lack of parking but that's not their fault.

Lovely place to eat. Fresh really tasty food presented beautifully. There's a lovely little courtyard at the back for when it's sunny as well. Will defiantly be back to try the other things on the menu!!

This place is an absolute gem. The food is locally sourced, freshly prepared and delicious. Our current favourite is the seasonal soup which changes daily and the lovely lemon drizzle cake. The owners are very friendly and particularly welcoming to young children. The venue it's self is worth a visit as it is also a gallery and a space for classes and workshops. By far the best place in the area and well worth the short walk from Wellfield / Albany Rd.

Didn't really spend a long time here but enjoyed a quick coffee. If you wanted to walk up to Roath park it would be a nice stop off on your way. Would come back to sample the food next time.

The most special thing about MADE Community Arts Cafe - is the warmth and friendliness of Zoe and Josh who run MADE Cafe. You ALWAYS feel welcome. The place is also a real welcome for artists and you have the world of the artist and what they have produced around you while you drink their delicious teas and coffees. I go every week to the FAN Meeting at MADE Cafe on Thursdays at 11.00 a.m. This is at most a one hour meeting - there is a brief opening and each person speaks for a couple of minutes in turn while we all listen carefully to them and then we close the meeting and chat. It is a great way to meet and we have local people and those new to Cardiff who come from other parts of the UK or abroad. Why not give it a try?

Wonderful little place off the beaten track, well worth the visit with really great looking products and delicious food and drink.

Not only is this a great cafe it is also a really unique venue for artists to display their work and put on exhibitions. The food is delicious - lots of Welsh cheeses, the most imaginative salads I have come across (especially the beetroot one with nuts in!), and such tasty fresh juices - I am very fond of the Classic with ginger. You are left feeling satisfyingly full but healthy! I enjoyed it so much I ate there two days on the run and can't wait until I am back in Cardiff to experience more of their menu - except those salads are so good I would be happy to eat them every time! It may be hidden away on the corner of Lochaber Street in Roath but it is certainly worth venturing away from the city centre to sample such lovely food and discover the wealth of artistic talent this lovely cafe helps to promote! Friendly, relaxed and well worth a visit. I cannot recommend it enough!

The best coffee in Cardiff, good food, and a really interesting venue. Well worth the visit! Stopped in for lunch and ended up buying a wonderful print. I don't have children, but if you do their art days looked great fun too.

I was invited to this little cafe for it's opening last year as the owners daughter is a friend of my daughter and have been a few times now and love it and it has grown from coffee and cakes to doing meals. There is not a massive choice of food and cakes but it is all fresh, tasty and quality. I had a great lunch the other day. Its really a cafe, come art gallery come community art space, and its an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere, and very child friendly. This is no intimidating stuffy art place. They run great events for children and adults in the holiday and weekends we attended a great easter making and hunt event at the cafe and the park. There are loads of lovely buys too and the knits are fab! Look out for their Christmas market if they do it again this year it was fab.

Cardiff MADE is a lovely cafe with great facilities and art to experience too, hidden on Lochaber st just a few minutes walk from Wellfield or Albany Road. I would totally reccomment for friendly atmosphere, good food (and prices). Is very child friendly and accessible too !

I have been to this place many times now, such a great atmosphere very friendly service, people passionate about their food and art, everything in there is locally sourced and the place is vibrant with colour and art and crafts, this is now my main place for coffee and a nice relax... I would highly recommend it , you won't be disappointed

Recently re-opened Cardiff MADE (Milkwood Studios) . Cardiff MADE is an art gallery and café supporting local artists, designers and has locally sourced food and the best coffee and chai lattes in Cardiff. But don't expect a Starbucks experience as Josh and Zoe provide a personal, relaxed and friendly space to sit or to create. Their recent Christmas craft days were a treat for kids of all ages and there are more events planned.
