Just brilliant classic simple Italian. Everything first class. Had not visited in years and just walked in and was looked after to the highest standard.

Formal lunch, extensive Italian menu, no set-lunch. Proper old-fashioned Italian with linen napkins & regular clients. Not cheap, but the place to meet your mother if she's been up to Peter Jones.

I’ve been going to Carafini on and off for about 8 years - it’s been consistently very good apart from some issues during the covid period - encountered by all london restaurants - service was really good although maybe not quite as personable as it’s been in the past - the usual clientele are let’s say mature sloanies! With a few interlopers like me ! Food excellent minestrone , ham& melon , lamb chops ,pasta and liver ( superb) - a very enjoyable experience !.

I had the prawns to start. The tomato based sauce was stunning. I had the lasagne for my main. Absolutely delicious 😋 Too full for dessert. Highly recommended 👌

If you are looking for good food then Caraffini’s is not the place to go. There is an old dank smell throughout the restaurant. I’m not sure if they were going for a good joke when they served us “fresh” bread. Our pasta was sloppy, tasteless with one of our dishes having numerous types of pastas. The only redeeming aspect about the restaurant was how good the service was so that we could leave very quickly.

The chef's creativity knows no bounds. A truly memorable dining experience.

Terrific Italian restaurant near Sloane Square - cooking of the highest quality at sensible prices for such a central location. Fabulous liver which is a favourite of mine, they can do it 4 different ways. Huge whole branzino fish was also superb. Highly recommended. Great service.

Went here for birthday dinner yesterday evening and had the best time! Very friendly service, food was delicious and beautifully presented. There is a friendly ambience to the place and the evening flew by. Would very much recommend.

Managed to get a last minute booking after a late call from friends. Greeted warmly in that unique Italian manner on arrival . Lovely table for four . Great service yet very relaxed. Restaurant busy with clients appearing to be local residents. Good buzz in the room but all allowed for easy conversation around our table .Waiter helpful on very broad menu choice and with wine choice bringing a taster to help satisfactory selection Food arrived appropriately . Both courses excellent from all aspects. Very impressed with high standard of chefs work. Despite a full restaurant we were not aware of any pressure for the table. This was our second visit to the restaurant reflecting our first excellent experience . Yes we look forward to returning . Definitely one restaurant to remember .

Went on a busy saturday night with no reservation and Miguel managed to squeeze us in before another booking. Food was incredible, especially the gluten free pasta, in large portions and was served quickly. Also the tiramisu and gelato were equally fantastic. Great service - waiters were attentive, friendly and knowledgable about which dishes contained gluten

Outstanding Italian food and delightful atmosphere. The service is excellent too - we were moved to a better table without asking: too often restaurants say they will and then "forget!" The menu choice is excellent, and they will always try to accommodate requests. All in all, a place for a really special evening.

Fantastic traditional Italian restaurant

We had lunch with family and the food was great - in particular the veal was probably the most tender I’ve ever had. The wine list is also great.

Perfect for a reunion. Quiet, attentive, good food, as good as it looks. This still applies - met some Americans who loved it. We hadn't seen them since before lockdown and nothing had changed. Must go there more often!

This was our first time dining at the restaurant. We were lucky to have an outdoor table on a rare wonderful London summer evening. For starters we shared a selection of pasta dishes which were delicious and cooked to perfection. Our wine selection was We a nice vermentino from Sardegna. The main courses were fresh and the quality of the ingredients were evident. We enjoyed our time so much that we noticed the outdoor area seating was slowly disappearing as the waiters were putting away the tables and chairs before closing. Will return for more memorable moments with friends sharing excellent food with great service.

Lovely restaurant situated a pleasantly short stroll South from Sloane Square. Great to sit outside, weather permitting. The terrace is however on a busy road. Inside is air conditioned, helpful on the hottest of summer days. The food is very good indeed. There is usually a list of at least a few daily specials, often fish based. The main menu offers a decent selection of pasta dishes, fish and meat. Pricing is not cheap but also not unreasonable for the area. Wine list is good, spanning a range of levels. Service is excellent. Expect to be served promptly with no fuss or delays. Exactly as it should be.

It was an amazing experience on all fronts. Very fast service and cooking, tasty dishes and reasonably priced.

Despite living nearby, we’d never been to Caraffini before last week, probably because when we fancied Italian we used to go instead to Olivocarne on Elizabeth Street, before it disappeared. But we were missing out. We had an excellent meal at Caraffini, with every plate a triumph: pappardelle ragu, and ham & melon to start; and veal escalope, and liver for mains. Cocktails too were great, especially the vodka martini. And the staff were all lovely. We will certainly go back soon.

A lovely Italian restaurant with seating inside and out. A varied menu of dishes to suit all tastes. The service was good - not rushed, but not left with an empty plate in front of me for ages. A good wine list, again there's enough choice to suit any palate. The staff were polite and professional. Always book ahead as it's unlikely you'll get a table if you turn up on the off chance.

Where to begin. We waited over an hour for the prosciutto and melon. Tables sat long after us receiving their food. Zero communication from our waiter about why there might be a delay. Food finally arrives AFTER my husband complains. My daughter’s food is cold, mine is so salty it is barely edible. Tables sat at the same time as us are long gone. Do we want dessert? Absolutely not. Another half hour to pay the bill.

Great food and a nice warm friendly atmosphere.

My friend and I came to have dinner here and felt it was a bit disappointing. The food was ok, the interior is plain with an awkward layout when it comes to seating and the service itself was quite off putting in some ways. Ultimately, it’s an average ‘Italian’ restaurant (with mostly portuguese and spanish waiters). As mentioned by someone else on here ‘just because we were dressed casually doesn’t mean we can’t afford the food’ which was made very apparent when we walked in. We waited quite a while after being seated before we were actually acknowledged yet our plates were cleared very quickly when we were finished. Customer service shouldn’t be dependent on how much you think someone is going to spend when they first walk in to your establishment. If you’re a local, you’ll be welcomed with open arms but if it’s your first time…good luck 😬

Absolutely marvellous. Without a doubt my new favourite restaurant in London! Perfect combination of food, location and atmosphere! I have been here a few times and never been disappointed. Also all the friends I have taken here are positively impressed too. I adore the decoration and that there is no music on, at all. With the delicious food and vibe, feels like we are having a home meal. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back again!

Traditional, old school Italian in the heart of Chelsea. The shrimp starter and all of the pastas were incredible. Really good food and excellent service. Outdoor patio is nice for a warm summer day. Great neighborhood spot.

Would have been 5 stars but……. We called the restaurant late on a Saturday afternoon to book a table for 4 for early evening, at last minute. To our surprise we were given an opportunity to eat but with a time restriction. However this was not a problem, and we had almost a 2hrs grace period. The food , service and wine were excellent. We couldn’t fault the tasty dishes, great quality and fresh seafood. It was delicious. My only disappointment with this restaurant was that at the end of the meal, we were not presented with and digestivo of Limoncello, as I have come to expect with a good quality Italian restaurant. So we ordered 4 at a cost of £44. This really came as a disappointment. To the management I would like to suggest you offer this as complimentary, as I found your charge for this as insulting. Other than this fact, we really enjoyed our experience. We would have given top marks if it wasn’t for this oversight.

Wow you want a classic traditional Italian restaurant then this is it. Pasta/Pizza be gone. Instead find all the proper Italian classics that somehow have gone from many so called traditional Italian restaurants. Add excellent service and you have a barnstormer of a restaurant. Wine list ain't bad either!

Visited for lunch, made booking long way in advance. Arrived place heaving showed to a table inside at the back next to loos and service area. Quickly took order, brought food very quickly, as soon as cutlery placed down everything cleared all at breakneck speed! Not enjoyable everything done so quickly, no interaction from staff and tables so close together you could hear everyone’s conversations. Food was ok , underwhelming and whole experience over with in a blink.

Caraffini's is a family favourite where we have celebrated many birthdays. This time was for my sister's birthday. We started with a celebratory glass of prosecco. The service was superb and the meal was excellent as always. I started with the quails eggs and spinach followed by the pasta special, the vegetarian version of tortellingi with aubergine tomato sauce. The rest of the family had the salad to start, followed by Breaded veal escalope or liver with butter and sage. All very tasty. My sister enjoyed the meal and I'm sure we'll be back again soon enough.

What a gem, we are talking about a 20+ years old restaurant, quality is always top notch. Food is authentic and simple, the owner is from Milan and we had the chance to meet him and his lovely wife, what a beautiful couple, they are goals to look up to. Highly recommended restaurant, reminded me of a classic upper west side neighbourhood spot, prices are also very reasonable for the area.

24 years of consistency of food and hospitality. The warmth of the ambience envelopes you whilst the anticipation of that first dish creates a delightful anticipation rarely matched in a city restaurant. My partner had the veal Milanese, while I had the scallops. Really good portions of wonderful Italian food from a family run restaurant.

Restaurant packed by 8pm. Our table - 2 women facing each other - was by a group of 8 celebrating a birthday (quietly). The waiters taking orders and serving them stood between our table and theirs, so obstructing our space with their rear ends that we had to hold onto our glasses to prevent them being knocked over. The group of 8 evidently took preference over our smaller table. The maitre d' of an expensive restaurant should not allow his staff to treat 2 women diners so contemptuously.

Service was impeccable, food was amazing - just what we needed to finish off date night. Chef even made my favourite dish as it wasn't on the menu, and tweaked my partners' meal as he is a pretty fussy eater! The carbonara is potentially the best I've ever tasted. I have been going to this restaurant for many years and it remains consistently good and good value for money. I started with sardines as usual and then had escalope milanese with fried zucchini.

Absolutely best place we have been. Pizza, pasta, antipasti -great quality and taste. Service is very kind and fast.

This is a cozy Italian restaurant serving quality Italian cuisine. It is very popular in the area that the restaurant is filled with guests all the time. if you visit the restaurant, you will find it a beautiful, clean and decent restaurant. It seems that it is also a popular venue for proper dinner. The food was prepared in very high quality. I like the "Scampi and Asapagus in cream sauce" that the fresh seafood is a delight to the dish. Also, Creme Brulee is cooked to perfect texture. Though the pasta is not in AL dente, the overall dining experience is great here.

A mixed bag here. The mains were good, I recommend the lamb chops. The seafood was not fresh, and the olive oil used wasn't very good quality. I feel like no olive oil at the table is a telling sign with any Mediterranean restaurant. One of the staff was coughing and spluttering the whole evening which is a bit inconsiderate considering we just experienced a pandemic and rates are on the rise again. The staff in general were very nice and attentive though. The prices seemed high for the standard of food. I don't think I'd come again given the choice.

Italian is by far my most preferred cuisine. I am often hesitant to have a seafood marinara as restaurants are always generous on the pasta, but limited on the seafood. Caraffini’s iteration truly goes above and beyond. There was a large variety of prawns, muscles, and octopus, and more than a few pieces of each. The flavours were tremendous, not overbearing and complimented the natural flavours of the seafood. Staff were polite, courteous and accommodating. Often checking in to ensure that your needs were managed. Thanks for the tremendous experience.

Avocado juice with dry fruits ! You have to have to try it ! The Sitaphal cream and the mango cream too are fab here ! Have had the mango falooda too . It's excellent . They have a special matki chai which is also good . In the heart of Karama , this place is a must visit for falooda lovers !
