The service at this restaurant was fantastic.

Overly expensive for the quality. Good quantity, you won't leave hungry. But $125 for 2 people was a tad much, maybe $70-$80.

The food and ambiance were simply wonderful. Our server was young and inexperienced, but the owner took very good care of us. It's just a lovely place for dinner.

Only one bartender for bar seating and service for the wait staff. Plus he has to go get the bar food orders. Way under staffed.

What a great restaurant. Sweet host who greets us, then the warm atmosphere of this place hits us. We both enjoyed our house wine and appetizers,(shrimp cocktail, and the Portabella mushroom). I had the Monk fish and he had the steak. Delicious! Food was authentic. We will be back with the adult kids. Such a great find!

Best Italian food In the area, the restaurant is clean and has a good atmosphere unlike the others in the area. Michael was our server and he was amazing.

Upscale Italian food with a true Italian flavor. The entree I chose was their Veal Scaloppini. The Veal was tender, flavorful and a large portion. Smothered in the best sauce I’d ever tasted. Their drinks are top notch and the service was impeccable. The rest of our party loved their dishes too. Just come with a fat wallet but the food and experience was worth it. We will be back!

We vowed we would never go there again but we bit the bullet for NYE. Service was poor, food was cold with a limited menu, spaghetti was mushy. Veal was good but served with a small portion of scalloped potatoes! You would think for an Italian restaurant it would have been served with pasta! We called asking if they had any gluten free on menu for NYE, which they assured us they did but there wasn't any. Never again!

My fisrt daughter (2 yrs old) had her first stage performance at her daycare, and my second daughter (5 minths old) just turned 5 months today. We wanted to have a nice dinner to celebrate both, and we wanted to visit a nice place. We heard Capri was a child friendly place so we tried visiting them. As you can guess from the ages of our daughters, it was very hard to keep them eating and letting them have a good experience, but our server Patrick made our dinner magical! He was so nice and friendly to our kids, letting them feel welcomed. He also did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable throughout the dinner. We were first impressed by the great atmosphere of the restaurant, and we were amazed by his incredible friendliness. Our second daughter started to cry very hard after an hour or so, and we were worried that she bothered the quiet restaurant, but the whole staff members made us feel they completely understood the situation. We just wanted to have a nice dinner for celebration, and we ended up having a magical experience at Capri. Thank you!

This restaurant is now in my top 10. Magnificent food, stylish atmosphere, friendly staff. Update - I have been here 4 times in the last year. This place is consistently fantastic! Everytime the experience was great from entry to exit.

It's okay, I've been there three times over the years. I'm really not that impressed. I think it's overpriced and overrated went there this weekend with some friends that had never been, they pretty much had the same impression I did, when we showed up they knew I had been there they said well what do you think and before we ate I just merely said it's okay. I didn't want to taint their opinion when it was all over they pretty much agreed with me it was okay we enjoyed each other's company that's what matters.

The restaurant is beautiful. I had heard very good things about the food. We had a reservation and it was not very busy at all. The music is nice. Unfortunately, the shrimp was extremely over cooked, as were the noodles, the salad tasted like it was out of a bag. For the prices they are asking for the meal, I am shocked at the quality of the food. The service was interesting. Our waiter was extremely quiet and non informative. I did not realize when he asked if wanted soup or shadow it would about about $7 each for the side salads. $4 for a can of diet coke. I received 5 raviolis for my entree. Which makes is about $4.50 a ravioli. I had checked the menu ahead of time. I think the price is not surprising, the quality or lack there of is what really gets me.

Old world ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food is what you can expect at Capri.

This is the first time eating real Italian food in America. Michael was our waiter and he was very attentive and personable. My husband had the special, spaghetti and meatballs, and I had the lasagna. The bread and olive oil was amazing, and we both had espresso. It is a family-owned restaurant and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A hidden gem of a restaurant, tucked away of the main road in Granger. The food is very good and the waiters are outstanding. Good selections of wine, week stocked bar. Lovely wood interior!

My boyfriend and I love checking out authentic Italian places. Our first experience here was great. They were fairly busy but not slammed. I think our waiters name was Alfonso? Amazing service. The food and the wine were 🤌🤌🤌 Place was lovely inside, classy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous Italian atmosphere, food was yummy and pretty as a picture. Affogato is now our favourite pudding.

Requested a white Cosmo, no white cranberry. Eggplant app was good. Had fettuccine with shrimp, offered woth red sauce or alfredo. Ordered the lattwr and ot was not creamy just oil and pasta. Total waste. Lemon cake for dessert was okay but totally lacking flavor. Supposed to be a special evening, what a waste

This is one of my favorite places. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent (shout out to Michael!), and the ambiance is warm and comfortable.

Husband and I tried for the first time. Wow! Very classy! Food is spectacular and the ambience was very inviting. The only complaint was the service was subpar. We tried to overlook the issue since we both have worked in the restaurant business a long time but it was difficult. The servers..and by watching throughout the restaurant...we mean servers could not open bottles of wine. It was definitely uncomfortable to see another server come and try to help reaching in front of a guest's face . We had to ask our server to fill our water a few times, they did not seem to know the menu very well when we asked questions, and when my husband's and my food was brought out, our server had so much difficulty with the plates. I thought our server was going to drop mine off the side of the table. I couldn't understand at first what was wrong, then I saw she was trying to hold a steak knife underneath the plates and making sure she didn't cut herself. I know this is knitpicky, but as high end as the restaurant portrays the service should match.

What a gem! What a find. We found this place tonight purely by accident and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The service was impeccable from our server Michael to the bar tender who also came and checked on us frequently! Ask for Michael the server. He is the best! The food and drinks were astounding! The ambience and beauty of this place is beyond words.

Beautiful space, great classy atmosphere. Very authentic food and dinner by the fireplace was lovely. Wait staff was courteous and charming, but but not as attentive as he should have been with refills, second glass of wine, etc. Hence, the service was a bit slow. Would try again when in Granger because it is a nice place to dine and talk.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrendous service. I called and reserved a table for my family to celebrate my mother in laws birthday, one week prior to coming to the restaurant. I called again the day off to confirm that we are good to go, and via phone call, all was fine and we were all set. We come in last night, I say my name and reservation time. The gentleman that appeared to be manager or owner told me at the host stand that I did not make the reservation, I then showed him my phone receipts of the phone calls and STILL told me I was wrong. I couldn’t believe that this was happening, turned around, in shock, to see other guests in the waiting area, were just as surprised at how terrible this “manager”/“owner” was treating me. He was an older man. A blonde woman tried to make up for how awful this man was being. She is the only reason they even get 1 star. We will never be back and I will tell all who ever even think of coming here that this place is terrible and will treat you like dirt on your shoe. I said to the young waiter filling up our drinks I hope he doesn’t treat you like he treats his paying customers. We went somewhere else because the other server, appeared to be late 20s server taking our drink order, was snooty to my father in law while ordering drinks, and we had just had it, so we got up and decided to leave. I told the blonde woman that we are leaving for how awful we are being treated, the manager came up and was pointing his finger at me, still hellbent that I didn’t make the reservation. Even after showing proof and the blonde woman agreed, yes, she talked to me and I confirmed that morning that all is ready and we are good to go for the evening. All around I think there is 1 good employee, she was blonde and very pleasant and welcoming and was willing to try to make up for it. After looking at some of reviews, they were also treated similarly. I hope some people can prove me wrong, and I sincerely hope that they have some sort of meeting as a restaurant to treat people better.

Horrible customer service,host was extremely rude pointing fingers at my wife. The waiter didn't come to our table for over 10 minutes just to get our drink order. I will never take my family to this establishment again. Worst service in Granger. Went to Beef O Brady's, a block away and had a better dinning experience for half the cost and way better customer service.

Truthfully the only real Italian cuisine I’ve found in this area that actually tastes like being in Italy. Bravo!

Highly recommend the Stuffed Mushroom for lunch. Amazing! This restaurant tops all I have been to in the Michigan area for Old World Style and a sens of Nostalgia for the bigger cities such as Chicago and New York. When I take someone for a business dinner or lunch I can count on the staff at Capri to make it a delight and that's always good for my business. 12/10 for atmosphere and food. Looking forward to many more.

Awesome food and great service!

Fast food quality food. Went here for a birthday party on a Saturday night. The waiter was nowhere near qualified to work on his own. We received the wrong food, all at different times. I ordered a $26 chicken and sausage meal and the chicken was thin, cold, and the gravy was one thick layer that peeled off the meat. That was after it was handed to the wrong person at our table. The bill was a god awful mess and nothing was correct. We just gave up and paid the $600 bill. Management needs to train waiters before letting them take on a table on their own. Also the food was no better than a fast food chain on this night. I would give it another chance but my meal and drinks alone were $80 and it wasn’t worth $10. Very disappointed.

More of a 3.5, especially when value is factored in. The space is nice. It’s a nice atmosphere. Service was good, albeit a little inconsistent. We were there with one other couple. Between the four of us we had the lasagna, pollo valdostano & veal piccata. All the meals were….ok. Certainly a step above chain Italian, but pretty pedestrian. Unfortunately, it’s priced at a premium. Two entrees & two glasses of house wine, $80. Bottom line. There is better, local owned, Italian cuisine in this community, at a much fairer price point.

We had dinner on a Wednesday evening, around 6:30. 5 covers at our table. Greeted upon arrival. Quiet atmosphere. Prompt, friendly, and attentive service. Food was real Italian and real Good. I've lived in Michiana my whole life and this was my first time here — haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. Will be returning!!

Wonderful experience. Our waiter Michael was so courteous and genuinely interested in making sure we had a lovely dinner. Our pasta was very good and sized just right. It was our first time eating here and we enjoyed the atmosphere and felt like we found a gem. We will return gladly.

My husband and son really liked the filet. My chicken wasn't that special, I forget what it was called but it had prosciutto and asiago. I didn't think the prices were high at all ($38 for filet and I think $26 for my chicken); I'm used to California prices so my thoughts may be skewed. We showed up after arriving at the RV campground next door and immediately felt quite out of place, but they were nice despite our super casual attire and kids in tow. The waitstaff weren't fluent in English and some of our requests weren't understood.

Truly authentic Italian! The pasta was exceptional - so fresh with the "bite" of traditional homemade pasta. Took us right back to our trip to Italy!! We had the tortellini, fettuccine, lasagna, espressos, and cannolis. All excellent! (Ignore the reviews of anyone saying the pasta is "undercooked." Capri's style is the real-deal, and anyone saying otherwise probably hasn't experienced actual Italian cooking before. This isn't a dig at other reviewers - just an observation based on the comments.) From the food to the service - you can expect an amazing, authentic Italian experience! The team is so welcoming, attentive when needed, and don't rush you at all, ensuring you can fully enjoy the food and wine! Such fantastic food and service - looking forward to our next visit!

Really disappointed with this place. The food was pretty mediocre. In my party of four, every one of us was disappointed with the dishes we were served. The calamari was pretty underwhelming too. All of this would be frustrating enough, but then you combine it with the fact that all the dishes are $20-40. Absolutely not worth that kind of money. I'd have been disappointed with this food at Applebee's prices.

Good food would be a great anniversary place

The food is okay. I tasted the prawns, veal scallopini, spaghetti and meat balls, eggplant rottollo, and calamari, tiramisu, lemon cake, and scillian canolli. Of these the spaghetti and lemon cake were favorites. The spaghetti tastes like fresh pasta, the red sauce has a creamy taste (like creamy tomato basil soup). The lemon cake was moist and not overly sweet, the only bad thing was it had a decoration of inedible lemon zest. Our waitress was attentive. However the host did not greet us with a smile, and didn't thank my party during our departure. Maybe he was having a bad day, or he just has a bad disposition. My fave Italian restaurants in this area remain villa macri and the one downtown on main Street. Simonini is a good runner up. But I've done Capri, and won't be going back.

We were very disappointed with both the service and the quality of the meal. My noodles were undercooked and the appetizer was bland. The service was slow and unapologetic. The atmosphere and ambiance were redeeming qualities but not enough to convince me to go back.

Lasagna was 3 star and service was 1 star. When we were seated 2 servers introduced themselves and said the two of them would be taking care of our party of 6…. We never saw the female server again and only saw the male when we asked for our check. We were never offered a 2nd round of wine or our empty water glasses. As for the food the lasagna was very good and would be the only reason I’d consider going back. My wife had the Tortellini alla Papalina…. When my wife said this is terrible, I tasted it to see…. The pasta was so under cooked not even close to al dente and the mushrooms tasted moldy old. When our server came to bring our check he noticed my wife had hardly touched it and asked if it was okay, she said “it doesn’t taste right and I didn’t care for it” being polite…. Server said oh and walked away. You can see from my other reviews we’re not hard to please…. But this was a bad holiday dinner. When you see that ownership / management don’t respond to similar google reviews I should’ve known the standard expectation of poor service and overpriced items.

Major disappointment. We came here for New Years. I had looked forward to it all week. The atmosphere is wonderful, warm and inviting, but the food and service were terrible. Fazolis has better pasta. The portobello mushroom appetizer was rubbery, the roasted red pepper appetizer was stuffed with boiled shredded unseasoned dry chicken. Our appetizers came out before the glass of wine I ordered. It wasn't overly busy as we were sat at 8:15 for our 8:30 reservation. I don't know if something has changed over the last few months, but I have no idea how they have a 4.5 rating. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Our dining experience was not impressive this visit 12/27/21. It always had been before. The gnocchi pasta was terrible for a restaurant of this caliber, and if I saw two bites taken out of a dish and a customer not interested in taking it home after telling you it wasn't good, I wouldn't put it on the bill. However, Past visits have been impressive. Scallop potatoes we're lacking. I will try it again because we have been impressed by the food and service before.

It is very quaint and it is authentic Italian food, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale place to grab a bite to eat. This is a sit down, enjoy company and not rush kind of place.

Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate our unique requests. The delivery of the meal was seamless and transparent, allowing us to enjoy the occasion without interuption. And, the cuisine was wonderful, fully satisfying the distinct palates of our diverse quests. Lisa - Event Coordinator, Arturo - Chef/Owner, and the entire staff made this a special event that we will cherish forever.

If you are looking to step back in time, to a place where the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is something out of a Mario Puzo novel, then this is the place. Beautiful lighting and cloth napkins and tablecloths. Kind and quiet, knowledgeable service. What a great hidden gem in Granger. Don't go to the chain restaurants for Italian food, come here! You will not be disappointed. Order a Negroni, and some calamari..or any of the amazing food they serve here.

Did not know this restaurant was on Princess Way in Granger. We happened upon it the other day and thought this would be a nice place for us to have a special night out. The ambiance in this restaurant is very nice with some older rat pack music in the back ground. We ordered the stuck mushroom appetizer and it was fabulous. I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and Italian sausage in a white wine gravy, while my wife got the filet. We also ordered side salads, which is not part of the entree cost. My wife’s small fillet was $32 and my chicken was $27. The side salads were $5.50 each, plus my wife ordered a soft drink. We did not know the soft drink consisted of a 12oz can/bottle of soda ( no free refill ) for almost $4 ea. My wife got a Coke and I got water. My wife had the tiramisu for desert. All in, before the tip, $107. The food was very good, but not top chef prices good… I think you would enjoy Papa Vino’s much more for the price difference. I think probably the biggest let down for me was charging almost $4 for a 12 oz can/bottle of soda. I get you believe your food is worth the price you are charging and you leave the choice up to the customer if they want to come back for the price, but charging that much for one can of soda was simply ripping your customer off and insulting. Good food… just not for the price!
