Cappadocia in Elmbridge

First visit but won’t be our last. Delicious food, fabulous atmosphere and when our taxi firm let us down a most helpful young lady staff member ordered one for us.

We have visited Cappadocia many times, but yesterday was a special occasion as it was Mothering Sunday. I am very old now and my own dear mother passed away 36 years ago. Nevertheless, I celebrated my love to her amongst the youngsters who were sitting in the restaurant alongside their own living mothers. The atmosphere in the restaurant was infectious and we much enjoyed the meal and the company. The food and service were impeccable as usual, but credit must be given to the young waiter who served at our table. His politeness and calm efficiency were outstanding. He is already a professional. The meal was well-presented and delicious. The menu has a wide choice of traditional Turkish and English food to suit all tastes. I particularly recommend the sea bream and mixed grill. We very much look forward to our next

My wife and i were both violently ill after a visit to Cappadocia. We sat outside on a Thursday night and had to keep remjnding the staff we were there! We rang the next day to jnform them of our sickness and were told the manager would ring us back. No-one ever did. Disappointing. Not going back!

We had an outstanding dining experience at the restaurant yesterday with my family. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious options, and each dish we ordered was a culinary delight. The flavours were exquisite, and the presentation was impressive. It is such a lovely restaurant, staff are so courteous. The food is absolutely delicious and done with perfection and the details were so stylish everything was well thought of.. the cocktails were delicious loved the ambience overall we had our Christmas party there it was value for money and we will definitely go back again next time on a Thursday night when they have entertainment

Atmosphere is off a typical London RESTUARANT. Food served is Turkish. Compliments to the chef for excellent taste. Price seems high. Bread can be further improved .

Friday night. Nice and busy, a good buzz, but not too noisy. We had booked at 8 for two but one of the main guys moved us from our smallish table for two to a larger corner table. Good start. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. Draft Cobra beer or bottled “draft” Effes, both really cold. The rosé wine was crisp, well chilled and not too pink. We had calamari (which was not rubbery) served in a crisp batter to start. We then both had lamb from the grill as a main course - minced Adana Lamb on skewers and Lamb Shish on a hollowed out rolling pin (bit odd!) - the meat was tender and tasty - and both courses came with spiced bulgar wheat - although we didn’t think the chilli dip was chilli hot enough. Then some Baklava which were oozing with sweetness, plus pistachio ice cream - a great end to a very good meal. Would definitely recommend.

1st time customer. Haven eaten at many Turkish restaurants all over the UK. I'm afraid that this place didn't meet my expectations. Maybe differs to each restaurant but usually after we have ordered there were no complamentry olives, breads, salads etc. One of the dishes was a mixed platter for 2. See photo. The kebabs came with rice and bulger wheat which wasn't even enough for 1 person let alone 2 and came in 2 little wooden pots. The flat wrap at the bottom smelt and tasted of lighter fuel or something which also made the grilled lamb also taste of the lighter fluid likely used on the grill. You also have to pay for all the extra add ons and other medleys. The other meat and chops were seasoned well. Atmosphere was nice with the changing lights. In all a very mixed bag. Left feeling not satisfied or content. On the plus side 5% discount if pay by cash and a Maccies just down the road for a top up. Finally the last photo is a mixed platter from another Turkish restaurant as a comparison.

Ate there today at lunchtime to celebrate a relatives wedding anniversary. Everything was excellent. I’d like to mention our waitress who was courteous, very pleasant and attentive.

Well what can I say. Firstly when we went to discuss our booking we were told there was no space for our dinner and we were not in the book. There was a mix up, but we met the owner when we tried to sort issues out. He personally found a slot for us which was great. The place was beautifully decorated with lots of oriental ornaments. It was cozy and had a good vibe. The waiters were professional and cheerful and went all out to make us comfortable. Now the starters were of such a good portion that some of us were almost full when the food came. The food was well presented and the prices not bad either. We had a great time. The toilets were clean too service was reasonably fast. The meat is well seasoned delicious and they make some mean cocktails. What can I say, almost a year later, food still amazing.

Food is nice but a little overpriced. I keep receiving emails for 25% off food and on the email is a food standards agency food hygiene rating logo showing me they have a 5 which is very good, when I checked on the food standards agency they actually have a 3 which is generally satisfactory, I don’t think they should be misleading the Public , if Red Rose mobile kebab van up the road can get a 4 which is good then I think Cappadocia should at least have the same or better!! Sorry my mistake Red Rose actually have a 5 on food standards agency. Update 25/09/23 - To be clear, I’d like to thank you for your non direct , direct reply to my review. Prior to the 5th September you had a 3 star rating however you sent several emails out which displayed a 5 star rating logo which is misleading. My original review was written over a month ago and for some reason only published today. I can see now you have a 5 star rating since the 5th September. I have not recommended the Red Rose kebab van and I would not dissuade anyone from using it either, it’s worth noting that it’s been trading since 1988 though. I see the way you have responded to me is by putting on a new review, congratulations you gave yourself 5 stars, this just highlights my point in how you try to obscure fact & offer inaccuracies to the people of The Walton on Thames. Why not do another review to this & award yourself another 5 stars. Oh you assume I’m male, however I’m not.

What a find, four of us went lunch time each and everyone agreed the food was excellent, the service was very good, the young lady waiting on our table done well putting up with me asking questions and she done it with a smile. At the end of the meal was a very nice surprise we weren't expecting, a nice slice of melon, then just before we were leaving we were told to take a Turkish delight from the bar. Can't wait to go back and will recommend it to everyone.

We came with my 91 year old father. We had a lovely meal as always. The staff were super helpful and kind. They accommodated changes to the menu to help my father and they could not have done more to be supportive and thoughtful.

If you're looking for traditional Turkish cooking. Look no further than this restaurant. I ordered the set menu with a friend and was impressed by the quality of food and the speed of delivery. You get a selection of cold and hot starters, main course of kebabs, doner and rice. And a selection of Turkish desserts. The staff were friendly and warm. Whatever you guys are paying them, it's not enough. If I'm in the area again. I'll certainly go back to this amazing restaurant.

Nice place to go for dinner. However, I did find it a bit pricy, £17 for a Shish Kebab. Can not take anything away from the service or the food, both were very good.

We spent an evening at Cappadocia Walton, and what a pleasant experience it was! The food and service were both fantastic. The menu had something for everyone, including our vegetarian cousin. We all savored the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine, from the succulent lamb shish to the aromatic mezes. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of taste. But what made the meal truly memorable was our server, Elizaveta. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a genuine warmth about her. She helped us choose just the right dishes and made sure we were comfortable throughout the evening. It's not often you find a place that combines great food with great service, but Cappadocia Walton nailed it. If you're in the area, give it a try and don't forget to ask for Elizaveta!

Food advertised on menu is completely different to what's actually put in front of you, poor quality food very unhappy Disgusting attitude on 2 members of staff, very bad attitude towards myself and my partner. When asking for a manager we get told no he's not here it's tough... Absolutely disgusted with this place, what a shame on the downfall Don't waste your time visiting you will leave disappointed and stressed...

We visited Cappadocia in Walton on 25/07/23. This was a couple's visit celebrating an anniversary. The booking process was pleasant, I booked via telephone, the call was answered quickly and the member of staff was polite and professional. At the time of booking, I had asked if there was "anything they could do" to help celebrate our anniversary. The member of staff offered a complimentary desserts or shots. I requested the Baklava dessert. Upon arrival, the greeting was lovely and we were seated immediately. This is our fifth visit to this restaurant and have fallen in love with the food and ambience. However, on this occasion (and unfortunately previous visits too), the service let down the overall experience. To be clear, all the staff we super friendly and polite, but the attention to detail (small details) let it down. Both the main course and desert arrived, yet we had no cutlery. On both occasions this was not picked up by the server and I had to request new cutlery. The main had been on our table for at least five minutes before I was able to get someone's attention for cutlery. To reiterate, no issues with the food whatsoever. The food is incredible. Top top quality. Always sublime. Towards the end of our visit, I was looking forward to the server bringing out the surprise dessert for my partner (as requested and agreed at time of booking), however it did not arrive. The bill came and no sign of the dessert. This unfortunately meant that I had to ask for it to be brought out, spoiling the surprise altogether. Disappointing. These issues although "small" in principle, had a huge impact on the way we felt leaving the restaurant. We left pleased with the food but dissatisfied with the overall experience. We love Cappadocia, and really want to enjoy our experience, but this, combined with similar previous experiences of poor service have left us wondering if we want to visit again.

Visited midweek and ordered from the inexpensive lunch menu, expecting smallish portions. Portions were full sized, extremely generous, and highly delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other lunch options.

We had a lovely roast dinner here , the service staff where friendly and helpful, with plenty of food on the plate we left full and glad we when there .

Read reviews before booking, a couple of low rating reviews but I decided to go with the positive reviews, happy to say I did the right thing, great staff, great food and we will definitely return

Nice enough food but nothing special. Good service. Decor not great and quite expensive for what it is. There is very little parking and that has a 2 hour limit.

First trip to Cappadocia with some friends on Friday night, we'll definitely be returning. Atmosphere was brilliant, staff were very attentive, even the good old 'check back' from the waitress. Food was amazing, with dry ice for theatrics. We all had the mixed grill, which was cooked to perfection. The menu is quite big, but we didn't mind as it meant more choice, and a good excuse to return. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This rating is reduced due to the price of drinks. I won’t return purely on that basis. However the restaurant is lovely, the food was really enjoyable too. It’s has a luxurious decor and was a real treat. Staff were friendly and attentive and the complimentary desert was much appreciated. But at £4.95 for a lime & soda, they lost me.

What a wonderful place, good for a lunchtime bite or a meal in the evening, on Thursdays they have belly dancing which is enormously fun, the food is delicious & plentiful the staff are welcoming and friendly and the décor is good and well maintained. It really is a delight

Great early evening meal with friends. Service is prompt and polite. We shared a cold mezzet then a hot mezzet with some Turkish and Chilean white wines. Finished with a shared portion of baklava and a cognac each. All food is high quality and well presented.

Yet another fabulous meal. I only wish the restaurant was closer, but its worth the travelling. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, food is fabulous and the service outstanding.

Let me just talk about waitress bella. She was super sweet and lovely. From the minute she served us she radiated angel energy. She has a warm and welcoming smile that’s so beautiful that just makes her vibe around her even more comforting. She was very patient and happy towards us. Whoever hired her made the right decision. She’s a dime!

The interior was nice and the food looked good. But that's really the only positive bits. The food was quite bland, the drinks were overpriced (almost £4 for diet coke), and the waiters were either very blunt or very shy, either were a little awkward. I understand why people come here: huge portions for reasonable prices, 5% off if you pay by cash, kids/family friendly. But if you want an authentic Turkish experience with tasty food, you're best to look somewhere else.

I have eaten at this branch in Walton several times before and have always enjoyed the food and appreciated the good service. However I was blown away with the exceptional service I was not expecting when ordering a takeaway recently. I wanted to take my mother out for dinner for Mother's day but this was a challenge as she is still near shielding from people due to her poor health, so has not eaten in a restaurant for a very long time. We then had an impromptu decision as we were driving past to get Cappadocia for takeaway. I was greeted by Islam, whom I explained my situation to, and from the moment I walked in until we finished our three course meal, Islam and the team took really good care of us. I wanted Mum to have the full experience of eating in a restaurant without taking the risk but being out of the house, and this is certainly what we got and more! We ended up enjoying a full meal, from drinks, starters and mains until tea and desserts, all from the comfort of our car, right beside the restaurant, with full view of the restaurant from our windscreen. This was only possible due to the kindness and compassion of Islam who was so attentive, and even kindly stepped out a few times to check on us including during his break. We had an amazing time and Islam and the team really got out of their way to provide an amazing experience without making us feel a burden. Thank you again from myself and from Mum (who states "best Mother's day" celebration). Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Fabulous venue for Turkish food with a lovely ambience. The Borek and Humus Kavurma are absolutely delicious, highly recommend. They even overheard us talking about it being my birthday and gifted us some baklava on the house. The two waitresses who served us could not have been more hospitable. Even the seats are comfy! Do visit if you are able to.

Very disappointing. 3 of us dined here and ordered starters and main. Quality of the food is very poor especially for what they charge. Starters had lack of meat in the dishes and not provided as advertised. They don’t provide enough bread with the houmous dishes either, what are you supposed to eat it with? The main we ordered mixed grill and lamb dishes all of which was extremely dry and came with tortilla wraps out of a packet instead of the traditional bread. Had to ask for dip’s otherwise really hard to eat. Lacked flavour. They also got a drinks order wrong and were reluctant to take it back originally but the waitress who served us was good and attentive and took it off the bill, but other staff were awful and stood around chatting when we were trying to get their attention. Whole bill came to £90 which definitely wasn’t worth it. Will not be returning.

Lovely evening celebrating a family birthday.. attentive staff, great atmosphere and authentic food that was tasty throughout each course.. topped off with a great selection of drinks. My four for service was only due to the wrong food being delivered and a bit of a wait for drinks when we arrived.. other than that, staff were very accommodating! Cappadocia is becoming my go-to for every occasion 🎉

Booked at short notice for a Saturday evening. Upon arrival the restaurant was very busy indicating how popular the place is. An authentic atmosphere with Turkish decoration, in restaurant cooking and nice music. The waiter was attentive without being overpowering. The food was lovely and plenty of it. The sweets were also great. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Couldn’t recommend Cappadocia Walton enough! A very good variety and range of dishes, including a range of vegetarian options. The dishes tasted very fresh and full of flavour. I will definitely come back again!

Visited this restaurant 2 days ago and got only positive experience. Food and service was amazing!!! Cold starters was amazing, even better than I had in Istanbul. I will definitely come back and bring my family to have a dinner here.

Yesterday my cousin from California arrived to London and we decided to had dinner at Cappadocia Walton restaurant. We ordered prawn starters, mixed grill and testi as a main. All of them was very delicious and service was perfect as well. My guest was very happy and said he will definitely come to cappadocia few more times before leaving.

Had a really disappointing meal in here last night, both myself and my wife's food was not up to scratch. We ordered 4 different things and didn't really enjoy any of them. The use of canned vegetables was really surprising to see in such a highly rated restaurant, nothing tasted fresh, just lots of soggy vegetables with very little flavour. Maybe the meat dishes are better than the vegetarian as everything was seriously lacking for the price. We were really excited to finally visit this place after a few years of waiting to try it out, whilst the atmosphere was great we would never come back due to the quality and pricing for what were quite poor ingredients and preparation.

The food was really poor. Paid £18 for half an aubergine filled with tinned mushrooms! We had several starters too, same poor quality of ingredients and cooking. Would not go back or recommend.

We visited on 11/2/23 Saturday late lunch 14:20 ish. There was a very warm welcome and a choice of seating for us and plenty more. The volume of customers was just right not too many and not empty despite the lateness of the time. I chose the Organic fillet of Salmon. Organic Salmon fillet pan fried in unsalted butter with crushed fresh herbs and white wine (optional), topped with roasted almond flakes served with sautéed spinach and roasted sweet potatoes. I didn’t recognise the sweet potatoes because they were white tasted just as good. It all tasted just as expected and I loved the sauce although I would have liked a little more. The salad had a lot of dressing so I would ask for no dressing next time. As we didn’t order a starter, we were offered some olives to keep us going as all the food is freshly cooked. My husband chose Adana Shoulder of lamb minced, blended with spices and herbs, char-grilled and served on lavash bread with bulgur, salad and sliced red onions. This was tasty but very spicy so he asked for a yogurt dip which made all the difference. (I don’t know it’s proper name). He also ordered chips which arrived (thermally) very hot. My only comment is that the plates could’ve been warm to keep the food warmer for longer. We don’t eat very quickly. The food came in good time. We didn’t have pudding as it was already a late lunch. A lovely complimentary square of sponge, soaked in something delicious like honey, arrived while we were waiting to pay. We had a lovely conversation with the waitress who was from Ukraine, and had been in the country several years. The menu is very extensive and each dish has a picture which is always helpful with such innovative looking food.

The food was awful on new year's eve. Everything over cooked and was like shoe leather. Used to come here and it's really gone down hill.

This is the second time visit for dinner 😬 They are still busy but luckily we did not book and got table. Staff are still friendly and helpful. Main portions is big and enough. Ordered mixed grill with Turkish sausage. Very full!! And tried Bakarava dessert 🧁, not really sweat great taste 🤗 we enjoyed dinner time.

We came here for our large family gathering of 22 and had a wonderful meal here. The range of dishes on the menu was vast, so there was something that suited everyone's tastes and requirements. Everything we ordered look like a work of art, tasted...

Both this and the Cappadocia in Kingston are excellent. Great traditional food and wine and great staff that look after you. Excellent size portions.
