Food amazing. But far too expensive

the location is not perfect, but the food is OK, when it comes to serving, the waiters are not so welcoming, they behave rudely, and the prices are very high for the food you get, besides that, they also put a service charge 10% which is not worth it.

Well don't judge a book by its cover. We have avoided going here because of it being next to a garage and not looking very nice outside but wow we was very impressed. I am veterinarian and they kindly made me a Hallumi Skewers that wasn't on the menu. That was delicious. The grill staff was so nice and lots of chefs that you can see cooking from your table. I would highly recommend this place 👏 also its lovely decor inside and very clean.

The food is excellent. BUT the prices are now absolutely ridiculous, I get the cost of living crisis etc but when you pay £68 for a platter with rice, that’s a lot. So one expects a decent amount. Especially when it was around £55 pounds only a couple of years ago, and when the portions were good, now it seems portions are really rationed. The amount of rice they give is laughable. Really sad to write this review as we literally used to get it regularly, especially on occasions so minimum 5 times a year, not including the in person visits in between), but after the experience recently- it feels excessive and sadly not worth it.

Delicious food, pretty good size portions. The (I believe) mum and daughter on the takeaway counter were lovely, chatty and helpful. Bit annoying that they only take cash and not card. Also impossible to find the menu anywhere online which would be useful too.

Popped in for a load of take away chips for bonfire night. Lovely friendly staff, super fab chips and great value too. Fully recommended

Just off A12 this was a welcome stop after a long drive from Southampton. We had lentil soup, yummy bread, chips, Tea and Efes beer. All very good. Lovely friendly staff.

Been here before and food was good, but on this visit the whole family had upset stomach’s, one directly after eating the others a few hours later. I would not return because in my opinion something was definitely not right with the food.

Cappadocia is hidden next to a Jet garage on the A12 bypass with ample parking on site. The food was pleasant enough - there's only a limited range for vegetarians, and a lamb-based pide had too much lamb and not enough of other toppings. There's an open kitchen so you can see food being prepared. The restaurant also serves as a takeaway fish and chip shop, but to eat in costs almost twice as much as takeaway which is a bit odd. They serve wines (including from Turkey) and bottled beers, although prices are a little steep for alcoholic drinks.

Card only and food is WELL over saltered you can even smell it through the bag

Lovely place with amazing location. One the the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Easy approach by car but without car it’s difficult to reach. Nice decor with Turkish culture. Staff was amazing and well behaved. But the main part is fresh food. I love the mixed platter. The starter was delicious don’t know the name of the dishes but i love them. Good place to visit with friends and best for couples at night with amazing lighting.

Wow very disappointed as unfortunately I did not have cash only card although I had £2.50 and you couldn't even give me less chips for £2.50...... I asked if you could do less chips but unfortunately you couldn't even do that for someone who was hungry..... to be honest I won't ever go here any more.....

Pretty standard Turkish menu, overpriced for what you get. Ordered starters and mains, once finished the starters we thought we'd help by stacking plates for waiting staff to clear. Was told by manager to eat on the same plates as we just had the starters on (never experienced this in any other restaurant). They did replace the used plates in the end. Mains came along one of the order was a platter for 4 people at a cost of £85.00 wow no way it was for 4 people maybe suitable for 2-3 people! Couldn't finish some of the mains as the chicken were over salted. Once finished asked for which had a 10% service charge on top of the final bill. Overall would I recommend or return? No menu basic food and presentation substandard drinks expensive waiting staff are slow to clear table had to call over, restaurant too smokey. Shame looked forward to coming here.

Food is always amazing. Quick service for collection, never waiting too long. Seems expensive initially until you realise how much food you get and the quality has been great every time.

Best in the business never had a bad meal from here the year I’ll been I can recommend 4 people and drinks (few more then one + bottle of rose) under a £145.00 I’m very happy man for that price. Only downside is £10 service charge in your bill, in my opinion that should be left to customers discretion otherwise A++++++++++++++++

Shame really. Drive past this place pretty much every week for last 3 years. Went in this week for a meal. Food was pretty good actually. Couldn't fault it. Nice flavours and good quality ingredients. But the service was so miserable and poor, even the good food can't raise my rating from 2 to 3 stars. Male server was poor. Miserable greeting. No smile. Hardly spoke. When he did speak he sounded pretty rude and short. Spent £90 on a 2 course meal for 2 persons but left feeling underwhelmed. The bits that are hard they actually get right and bits that are quite easy to get right..... they got so badly wrong. Shame but if you can't be bothered to greet a customer there are plenty of other restaurants that will. Would not go back and couldn't recommend to others, simply because of the miserable/poor attitude displayed throughout the service.

Tasty food but don’t reccomend ! The personnel start smoking into the kitchen wich is an open space , and i was there with a 4 months old baby !the smoke was everywhere At the end they charged me 10 % a service cherge wich i told them i don’t agree with that but i was told they can’t do anything and said this is legal to be added even without my consent. Verry shamefull behaviour from their staff! Personaly i don’t reccomend !

We from North London and was in Ipswich area for a spa break. This is the best kebab restaurant that we had in England. And maybe the best Turkish food that you can’t even have in Turkey. Delicious food, friendly staff, cheap. What else do you want? Definitely highly recommended.

Food very good maybe potion size for some people not enough. But for us was just right. Looked like new waiting staff who were fine with us but felt the manager if that was who he was wasn't very patient with them which annoyed me.

Family meal with excellent choice and outstandingly good cuisine. Very limited choice on menu for vegetarian main courses but they will adapt other non-veggie choices. The two main downsides were firstly the absolutely outrageous drinks prices and secondly the imposition of a ten per cent service charge.The menu prices are not cheap ... main courses except for the Pides (Turkish Pizza) generally being between£17 and £20 but portions were generous. However if you add a 10% service charge to a dish advertised at £20 then the actual cost is.. £22, NOT £20 so why not be honest and simply price the dishes according to what they actually cost. For a family of four having two courses plus drinks we are looking at a menu cost of around £30-£35 each so that will generate an additional service charge of around £12 to £14. Now the drinks ... Efes beer is priced at £6 for 500 ml Twelve Quid a Litre!!!!! And a bottle of wine such as a Rose which can be bought from a Supermarket for about £6 is charged at £21. Now charging corkage in a restaurant is normal and expected ... but a markup of nearly 400% is I think a little excessive. But that is what is happening in a great many places today and I dont think that this establishment is very much different. That's what happens. I'e at least rel;ieved that there isn't an additiona;l charge made for parking the car, visiting the loo, sitting on a chair or using a knife and fork. (Hey guys please don't take this as an idea for adding evenb more to the unseen costs) My real gripe however is the outrageous prices for soft drinks. It happened that none of our family drink alcohol for various reasons - health, driving, etc... So we ordered Diet Colas and fruit juice. The diet cola came in a small glass which had it been full might have contained 330ml - but it was less than 2/3rds full. And we were charged £3.00 for that. That's £3 for perhaps 250 ml which the same price as the Efes beer ... Twelve quid a litre for coca cola!!!!!!! Now I would describe that as an outrageous and audacious rip off. Sorry of that seems a harsh criticism but you, dear reader can be the judge of that. Having said which, I must conclude by saying that the quality of the food that we were served was very very good indeed. Outstanding cuisine and friendly staff. yes! Based on cuisine alone I would have given five stars but such a pity about the stealth taxes which reduce my assessment to three stars only. It's not just about the quality of the food which in this case is excellent, but honesty and transparency are also important.

I stopped off here on the way home for a bit of light lunch. Basically I really stopped to use the toilets, but was pleasantly surprised to have a Turkish restaurant stop off. I have been to Turkey a few times and love the cuisine. I scanned the menu, and decided that this was authentic, not wanting to spend a lot I chose a pride as my meal ( cheaper than the kebab options ), I was not sure what to expect, in Turkey pied is generally fast food - very much like a pizza. What arrived at my table was not exactly what I was expecting, I expected a much thinner flatbread, but what was delivered was a bit thicker than expected. However, this did not matter as I was hungry and the whole thing was delicious. It was just what I needed, and also came with a salad which I also found very tasty. So overall I was very satusfied with the food. Service wise it was adequate, though slightly long wait for the food ( the restaurant was not busy at all ), overall though very satisfied and I will stop here again. Next time I will try a kebab.

Year's ago I popped in for a takeaway vegetarian pizza while my car was charging and vowed to come back for a meal. Well I wasn't disappointed my wife had the special kebab & I had the Sebzeli kebab (vegetarian). We got a side of chips due to a mix up in our reading of the menu but the benefit was having proper chip shop chips. Both were very nice and the portion is large enough for us to ask for a doggy bag for the first time ever. I found room for a Tiramisu which was large enough for two and a bargain at the price these days. It tasted 😋 great. It was very cold outside and a bit chilled inside which I think is due to the ventilation system for the open kitchen area. Nothing to put me off but a note to dress warmly.

Lovely restaurant. Service a bit slow. Some of the staff are not super friendly.

We ordered by phone and explained one of us could not eat gluten ( severe allergy). We were assured that the ‘rice’ was ok. After returning home, the ‘rice’ looked like a whole grain and when we called to question it, we’re told it was bulgar Wheat. The lady was helpful and arranged for more meant to be cooked minus the ‘rice’ However, apart from this woman, staff appear not to be trained correctly with regard to allergens. This is the second time I have had a potential cross contamination I would sadly not eat there again until staff are properly trained.

Take away for the family of 7 which all thoroughly enjoyed. Lamb and chicken very tender with good sauces. Big portions with dishes coming with rice and salad.

Just ok, food was ok... felt a little tired to be honest and very expensive for what we had. We have eaten at so many of trip advisors top rated restaurants over the years and this was really to expensive.

Stopped to charge and discovered Cappadocia. Excellent, authentic food and lovely staff.

Thought we would give this one a try as it's fairly local to us. Service was good and it was OK, food was good, but it's selling itself as a high class restaurant. £7 for a glass of Rose, £6 for a draft Efes etc.. food was good, just found it rather pricey for what it was.. service charge added to what was already a high bill so it was OK.. just over priced.

A random services stop on our way to Norfolk. We were about to get a sandwich from the Londis but decided to try this restaurant, not expecting much from a restaurant on the side of the motorway. The place was very clean and friendly, the food was fantastic. It was a bit expensive when you had to pay double the price of takeaway to sit in but the food was definitely worth it.

I stopped off to charge an electric car and popped over for a quick bite. I had no idea what to expect, but I was quickly blown away by Cappadocia had to offer. The food was exceptional and the portions generous without being overwhelming. Even though I normally live in the Middle East, I would definitely say this is some of the best Turkish food I have had for a long long time.

DO NOT let the location put you off, the food is very good probably some of the best in the area all perfectly cooked. Portion size is very good and the service is prompt. I couldn't ask for more.

The restaurant location is a little odd given that it sits behind a petrol station however it is fine. The place is very clean and the staff are helpful. The food was very nicely cooked and tasted great. Some dishes are a little expensive.

Long time ago I had bad experience with Turkish restaurant. Last week I give it a go again because there was nothing else close enough. How happy I am that I made this decision. From outside its not looking great, moment when you walk in it's different world from decoration too staff everything is brilliant. Food was full of flavour and looks very tasty. I recommend this place for everyone who likes Turkish food and for those who never try it before, you will be happy with visit to this place.

This was my first visit. I had heard good things and wanted to try, but as a Greek woman I often find my biases comparing Turkish and Greek cuisine and am left disappointed. This however was not the case! Firstly you can see the food being prepared as it is an open kitchen with glass screens, and it was spotless! Secondly staff, due to fasting were having to also have meals at this time and 'I trust a butcher who eats his own meat' so to speak. The service was impeccable and the staff were even willing to share the recipe to their gorgeous Boukouri (bulgar wheat). The food was absolutely delicious, the flavours took me back to the Mediterranean. It was plentiful, in fact it was a struggle to get through it all. There were four of us and my friends' food was also amazing as we all ordered different things. My husband and I had the sharing meze platter, my friends had the mixed shish and I can't remember the name of the other dish but it was lamb in a light pastry. The liver was also very tasty. The baklava was to die for almost as good as my own 😉 Finishing with Turkish coffee. The bill was reasonable too. I am definitely going back again.
