Wow. What an establishment. Having lived around or close to Kingston all my life. I don't know how I've never eaten here. I know a fair few people that know of it based on it's side section, takeaway window. But.. make a visit. Take a trip inside.. I can't even say it's a "hidden" gem. As it stands out pretty well and is slap bang opposite the train station. I went with work friends for a birthday celebration. About 10 of us today. We had booked the table in advance, which I would highly recommend. As the place was buzzing! The staff are wonderfully efficient, very professional and delightful in general. The star of the show... The food! Please forgive me for not Knowing/remembering the names. The table shared a few of the Turkish style pizza breads. Covered in lamb and tomato sauce. Beautiful and yet not too filling. Some of the table went for the mixed grill. I can report that all the meats on those were cooked properly, not dry and flavourful. A few of my group had a dish that was many of some type of large flat noodle. Rolled up with I think, minced lamb and other ingredients. Covered in tomato sauce and a sour cream/yogurt. Bursting with flavour and very filling, for those that are hungry. I had.. the lamb shank! Easily one of, if not THE best I've ever eaten. It was a huge piece of meat! Slow cooked in rich tomato gravy. It was so tender, one could make the meat fall apart just by whispering it a sweet nothing! And a special mention to the aubergine. I have hated that vegetable all. My. Life. But, I'm open to trying new recipes. So happy I did. It was rich, buttery and just decidant.. which is not a word i thought I'd use for a savoury dish, let alone a vegetable, let alone that one! It should be noted. My colleague had the baklava. Said it was the best he's had. All in all. Absolutely wonderful place to go

We tried Cappadocia for the first time. Clearly, if you like authentic Turkish cuisine, this is the place to go. The experience was fantastic. The food was so flavoursome, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. I recommend this restaurant to anyone, Absolutely fantastic!

Absolutely delicious food, with a varied menu and lots of options including chefs’s specials, grill and pizza’s. Very high quality food and large portions. Would highly recommend the Tiger Prawn main or starter.

This restaurant is hands down the best Turkish spot in Kingston. Especially the Lamb River dish was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend trying it. We had a fantastic dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I love the food at this restaurant. It was very busy, we were lucky to get a table as we were dining early after shopping but we were served quickly with delicious food. Servers are very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend, but book to avoid disappointment, especially on a Friday night!

I’ve been looking at this place for years when I come out of Kingston station and having read recent excellent reviews I took the plunge to visit and am so happy I did. We were greeted warmly by the manager and the food arrived very quickly - everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Fantastic value for money too - the bill for 2 of us including a drink and several dishes was £38 incl service. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and I shall definitely be making a return visit soon.

really enjoy the food, i mainly get donner wrap only problem is if i get medium for £8 or large for £10 they same size maybe even less meat in large one this is just a scam off.

Went in at 7pm on Saturday for a takeaway and no doner kebabs available to purchase. The two that were on the grill were “for the restaurant”. This is a shame - I want to support local restaurants. But instead go to German Doner Kebab who will serve me.

An excellent restaurant with excellent service and the best restaurant that cooks sheep meat that I have ever eaten in my life, without a doubt.

I was in town on business and went there three times and ordered the same dish every time, because it was so good. It was called "Zencefilli Tavuk," a chicken dish in delicious sauce. Highly recommended dish!

I ordered a mixed grill came with small cube of chicken shish small cube of lamb shish and abit of thick chewy doner don’t eat from here I do not recommend the salad was old asif it had been sitting for hours I’ve cooked in these restaurants and I know a bad one wen I see it stay away paid 60 aswel what a ripoff

100 % Turkish restaurant recommended. We loved the lentil soup, Alinasık, Kunefe and Baklava. My partner is Turkish so he knows when the restaurant is authentic. Service was good, big portions and çay was delicious. Quality, taste and price is really good! We will come back 👌🇹🇷

On March,4th 2024, we had a dinner there together with my 3 friends. The food was great and quality of the service was good too. Hass served us during the whole evening and he did a great job! thanks and hope to be there soon again.

On occasion I go to Capadoccia for a takeaway Doner Kebab, last Friday night I ordered a large doner with chilli sauce. NO GARLIC sauce. I watched as a kebab was made, slathered in garlic sauce, no chilli. It was wrapped and the guy behind counter said ‘your order is ready’ I asked the guy ‘are you sure that is mine?’ As I saw it being made. He gaslighted me, after I questioned him about the sauce. He said ‘no garlic only chili’ of course when I got home I found it was covered in Garlic sauce. I paid £10:50 for something I didn’t ask for and was gaslighted in the process. 😑

Jimmy has been Super! He welcome us and feel like at home. The food was amazing and the quality of the meat excellent. We certainly be back soon!

The food was excellent. Service was a bit rushed. Staff kept clipping my back as they walked past.

Came in yesterday for a classic Pide while my friend had a lamb Doner. As usual, the taste was absolutely on point. They marinate/flavour the meat in our favourite way in the area for sure. We sat bar-style in the grill area and spoke to the staff, who were friendly and let me take a few photos.

The food was good, the portions are large. We ordered doner kebab and iskender kebab, doner was really good. The staff are friendly too.

Clearly not the first option as a Turkish restaurant in town, the portions are big, however taste is not very authentic, but the atmosphere is pretty ok. Normally in a Turkish restaurant, you would expect bread and dips at the begining and tea at the end of the meal as complementary but they charge both, which is a bit of a surprise. I can say overall it's ok. If you are craving for Turkish food but can not travel to Harringey, it can be an option.

Everything was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, presented very neatly, and the service was great as well. All of the staff greeted us with big smiles. And I would like to say a special thank you to our waitress, Hilal Coppodolia, who went out of her way to make this a memorable evening!

We ordered meze and chicken. The meze was very spicy and salty, while the chicken was nice. However, for that price, the portions could be bigger. I wanted lemonade from the menu, but it was not available, so tap water was served instead. There is a tiny line in the menu about a 12.5% service charge, as if they do not really want people to notice that. When I asked about this, they assured me it was optional, up to my decision. However, they finally included this service charge without my permission. When I asked the waitress, she said that I did not inform her about my decision not to pay for service. I think it is awful, considering that it was very hard to get her attention to order food or request the bill, etc. It literally was sweating for minutes with my hand up which was noticed by another member of staff. I was not happy with the service and felt like I was lied to by the staff. I paid and did not check the receipt because I felt I could trust them.

I have been many times here before the refurbishment and it was a good experience but this time I was not happy and felt not welcome ,they asked if we have a reservation even if the restaurant was almost empty and they said we need reservation don’t know if it was because we went with 4 kids under 5 or they pretend suddenly to be a posh place after they change just the seats and lamps for me is just another kebab shop,overpriced overrated and with rude staff when we ordered kids menu’s which is 7,90 For A tiny Pizza without any sides they asked if we are sure that we want that two toddlers sharing two pizza. Never going back.

This is one of the best places to sample rich variety and unique tastes of authentic Turkish cuisine. On our second visit we had different dishes and old fafourites. Each time the food surpassed our expectations! Will definitely be back. But no photos. Will remember to take some next time.

I used their express counter to order a takeaway. Everything was cooked fresh to order and tasted great. It was very busy but the team were attentive and I was served quickly. Not to confused with other kebab shops where the doner meat is bought frozen from the same wholesaler as 90% of takeaways in London. This place is the real deal.

Best lamb donner ever, and proper bread, not dry boring pitta, (if you want bread, which i don't) however, nothing was too much trouble for these guys and they gave me extra salad in place of the bread.

Hands down the best in Kingston. This kind of authenticity is hard to find outside of Green Lanes. All the mains are delicious. I especially like the lamb ribs, chops, sarma beyti and chicken shish. The vegetarian dishes and Turkish pizzas (pide) are also fantastic. The Turkish red wine is also good. The service is friendly and attentive and there is obviously a lot of attention paid to quality of ingredients. Even the takeaway donor kebabs are second to none. I have never had a bad meal here and it remains my go-to restaurant in the area. Three cheers for Cappadocia!

Recently visited this restaurant for the first time. Our normal go to are the Mangals restaurants in Stoke Newington. Suffice to say we no longer need to travel all the way into London. Hands down the the tastiest Turkish food you will have outside of Turkey. Highly recommend the mix grill!

Further update: the food is amazing, staff are lovely and setting is excellent. I brought my wife here and she loved it. The manager Hagi provided top class customer service. He is excellent at his job and his staff are well motivated. Its been a long time. Absolutely love this restaraunt. It has a lovely spacious setting. The service is great. Staff are friendly. And most importantly the food is amazing. It is also family friendly. The food is simple, juicy and very tasty. It caters to all people from salads to fish to mixed grills. You really cannot go wrong. Also a little tip - try the kunefe. I've never had anyone try this desert without liking it.

Hi, Last week I went to Cappadocia restaurant in Kingston Upon Thames with my wife for dinner. Hacı Bey greeted us at the entrance to the restaurant. He gave general information about the dishes and made recommendations. We enjoyed the meals and desserts we ate at the restaurant in Cappadocia. While leaving the restaurant after the meal, Hacı Bey's close interest was still continuing. The only thing I don't like. We didn't like the tea at all. In addition, in Turkish culture, tea is served free of charge after the meal. I don't find it very elegant that tea is paid in a Turkish restaurant. I think this restaurant is normally 5 stars. However, I am giving one star less because of the tea. When you go to this restaurant, I am sure that you will encounter respectful and polite staff. If you want to have a pleasant meal and spend time, you can easily go. I advise.

Loved the food. I ordered Turkish traditional dumpings- Balu Manti- delicious, also chicken and fries for my toddler- a very generous portion and chicken was tasty and juicy. The service is nice too.

İlk önce lahmacun yedim tabi, dedim kendimi doyurmayayım akşamda burda yerim diye düşündüm alternatif çoktu döner ve kebap ... Akşam ise doner kebap, kuşbaşılı pide yedik gayet güzel ve doyurucuydu. Cam kenarında oturmak daha keyifli oldu bizim için. Mekan gayet şık ve temizdi. Çalışanlarda yardım severdi. Tesadüfen burayı keşfettiğim için şanlı hissediyorum.

Truly recommended. So busy restaurant, difficult to get in without reservation. Delicious meals, fantastic stuff, unforgettable memories overall. Prices adequate to quality.

Really disappointing experience tonight. I have been to Cappadocia many times over the past few years and always enjoyed the food. Turned up early for my reservation and asked if we could be seated early. I would have been happy with a no, gone and got a drink and come back at my allotted time. However, the front of house guy with his clipboard was so disgustingly rude to me I was actually taken back. Spoke to me in a condescending tone about how in future I need to learn to be on time. Like I’m a child. I decided I didn’t want to give my money to people who treat customers this way. I headed over to Ramos up the road, where the food was amazing and the staff unfalteringly polite. I’m afraid Cappadocia, that you’ve lost a previously loyal customer.

We just had the most incredible meal here. The team were welcoming, quick to serve, wiped our table over between courses and changed napkins. The food was just amazing and they give big portions. It was a great experience and we can’t wait to return.

Deliveroo order missed 2 mains. Bit of a faff had to reorder but Capp guys saw we were ok on the food in the end. Tasty too.

Not only is the food delicious, but the staff were so kind, warm and helpful when I had to leave halfway through my meal to deal with an emergency. That special human touch is what makes a meal out truly enjoyable!

I get Cappadocia about once a week. My partner is Turkish and this is as authentic as you can get outside of Turkey. I get the mixed grill and lentil soup, my partner gets lamb shish and lentil soup and all of it is amazing. Really well priced too.
