Wasn't expecting coffee this good in a such a remote area. Small place, but they punch above their weight in quality. Flat white, one sugar. Perfection.

Very cute little café with delicious coffee and cake. We sat outside in the sun on the bench in front of the café and then bought coffee beans, which were really beautifully packaged!

Everywhere I travel, I always like to find locally roasted coffee. This place knows exactly how to make good coffee! A small, cute shop that's takeaway only, the beans are roasted up the road. Also offers some homemade cakes. The coffee is top quality and the barista knew how to make a great late! Only wish I could go again!

Such a beautiful place to stop and grab a cup of coffee and some baked goods while driving through the Isle of Skye. We visited in April 2024, very friendly staff, great coffee and the bakery was so good. The bench outside was a great place to enjoy our purchase, bask in the sunshine and really take in this part of Scotland.

Great coffee in a beautiful location

Great coffee, probably the best one I’ve tasted! A proper flat white not this mini latte that you find most places. The cake was tasty and the location a great stop either after Fairy Pools or Talisker Brewery. Just be mindful they have no indoor seating.

I would highly recommend the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and the Caramel Shortbread at Caora Dhubh Coffee Company in Carbost, Isle of Skye.

Stunning views to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and some pastries. The staff is friendly, dedicated and efficient. There are no table in, but amazing lake views and some picnic tables just around the café. A not-to-miss when in the area.

Fantastic little place. We had a toasted sandwich and bought pies and cake for later. All were delicious and well-made. Although not connected to the coffee place it's worth mentioning that the showers next door were also great.

We ordered the steak pie and the mac&cheese pie. Bothe pies were really tasty (thank God we took two of each)

This was the best cappuccino of our trip. We even got a bag of the coffee to bring home. We also tried a black currant flap jack which was really good, too. For a quick stop if you're in the area, this place is pretty unmatched in terms of coffee quality.

Best coffee on Skye! Roads down to Carbost are not in the best condition, but if you’re over this way for the Fairy Pools, Talisker Bay or the distillery etc well worth a visit

Best coffee on Skye, right opposite the Talisker distillery. Buy some of their house blend to take home with you, you won’t be disappointed! They also make good toasties and incredibly moreish caramel shortbread…

What an unexpected surprise. Stopped here on our way into the distillery for 1 coffee ended up coming out with a hot chocolate, a coffee, 2 toasties, a brownie and a caramel shortbread. I recommend all of them! Definitely will be back! Unfortunately no photos as stuffed my face too quickly

Stopped here before heading to the distillery for a quick hot drink and some food, cappuccino was lovely and the hot chocolate was outstanding. Toasted sandwich was amazing and the brownie was too die for, highly recommend.

Found this place on a Google search of coffee shops on Skye. Very small take away with a few cakes and savoury items. There's no seating inside a a couple of benches outside overlooking mountains and water. Excellent coffee. Be patient if it's busy, good things take a little longer and if you're into coffee it's worth the wait.

Popped in here for a cheeky coffee on a beautiful day in early September. Great coffee and lovely cakes. Sun trap seating at the front of the shop but if you walk around the back there is seating and fabulous views over the Loch.

Love the fresh roasted beans and coffee drinks they make in this wee spot! The mocha was one of the best I’ve had and I enjoyed the flapjacks and millionaire shortbreads as well. Drinking your coffee with the view from the picnic tables can’t be beat.

The best cheese and ham toastie I’ve ever tasted. My wife loved her cheese, tomato and pesto too. Thoroughly recommend!

Superb Coffee. For us the best on Skye! Get a Brownie or a Vegan Apricot in addition and just enjoy your Caora Dhubh (Black Sheep) Coffee and the view over the Loch Harport.

Best millionaire shortbread ever

Closed at 4:30pm on Monday May 30 and at 12:00pm on Wednesday June 1. No updated hour on Google map or its own website. No notice placed on the door. Simply closed during supposed business hours. On June 1 between 12:00 and 12:05pm, I’ve witnessed four groups of people pull up, try to look through the window of this place with frustration. This cafe is about 40-60 minutes drive from major sights and hiking trails on this island that’s extremely deprived of good coffee options so I’d assume lots of people drive out specifically for the coffee. This business doesn’t care about wasting potential customers’ time. What a shame.

Caora Dhubh has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had in Scotland, actually probably the UK. If you’re a lover of Kiwi/Aussie coffee culture definitely take a trip here. At the time they were only doing takeaways so we just grabbed a coffee, sat in the car and took in the breathtaking views sipping on the most chocolately delicious coffee. Staff very friendly and can buy coffee beans here, they can grind them for you.

Well who would have thought this fantastic little village in the heart of Skye would produce some of the best coffee.... Skye continues to amaze, what a place. Make sure and stop for a great coffee, some great cakes, and wonderful sausage rolls!

Been struggling to find a good flat white in Scotland. Found an excellent one here! Great sandwiches too (albeit a small selection). Bought some coffee beans to take home too.
