Awful service, didn’t receive full order. Called 28 times and no response, then had to go down to request rest of order. Was called a liar and refused to be given full order. Very poor customer service with man shouting across constantly

Just had the worst food delivered from here, to be fair we have had many good meals but this was inedible. When I rang to complain I was told I was the only one and the kitchen needed the food back which is now in my food recycling bin! It was all well overcooked and dried out. Couldn’t even bite the satay chicken it was so tough and the chips looked like they had been cooked 5 times over! Crispy duck was cremated duck.

Man serving had an unhelpful and impatient manner. Meal was mediocre, unenjoyable, and a complete waste of money.

First time ordering from here and probably the last time. Ordered the crispy shredded beef and it tasted burnt not nice at all, no taste of beef. Chicken chow mein and vegetable chow mein was tasteless and bland, sweet and sour chicken was ok, beef fried rice was nice and the vegetable spring rolls where nice to, although the prawn crackers tasted old. All in all the lack of flavour and taste was missing from this Chinese restaurant. Meal size and price is very good.

Ordered on their website - they accepted the order and told me it would be an hour. After 20 mins they marked it as delivered, so I assumed it was on its way, I waited for 1 hr 20 and still nothing so tried calling 7 times and no answer, waited until 1 hr 40 mins since I placed the order then drove there and they were closed, despite it still being within opening hours. Took my money, accepted my order and pretended it was delivered. Wouldn't recommend trying to order.

Two of us went together to place separate orders. I placed mine, then as my mate was going to order his, The lady pick up the Phone to get the order and it took her nearly 46 days to finish the phone conversation. In the meantime i received my order, been waiting for my mate to serve for another year... Obviously my food was dead cold by the time he received his, so not so happy.if i knew, I would sell my car, organise better my dogs funeral, and possibly still had a time to go barbers.. In case of taste - we both got beef in black bean sauce with extra red chilli. There was some beef but more like a onion in black bean sauce, plus i dont think i could taste any beans. It could be down to the fact, that i had 24kg of onions in my box, or maybe i was focused to find some beef. Only budda knows..

Everytime i ordrer i say i have an allergy to carrots no carrot in food what happens carrots shame really they dont listenits not the same picking chunks of food out before you eat

1st order, pretty good 2nd was incorrect, staff very rude, blamed us and gave poor customer service. 3rd order was very late and poor quality. There will not be a fourth, don't recommend at all! Have since had great service from this takeaway and am happy to change my review to reflect my positive experience

Lovely food but chips were horrible . Mainly though the delivery guy was lovely . So pleasant

Got my sons order wrong, food was lukewarm, curry had to be spooned out of the carton, sweet and sour sauce was like treacle and to to top it off Ispent the early hours of the morning being sick and the rest of the day with diarrhea. I was the only one to have the prawns in batter, others had the sweet and sour chicken balls, it was my only meal that day so this has to be the reason. Food was terrible, owner didn't care less when we phoned and complained and told him to be aware that his prawns may be suspect. All in all would never recommend this take away to anyone and certainly won't be using them again.

Very enjoyable evening here with family, food good and service also good. Also easily accessble with plenty around

The best Chinese takeaway in Cardiff no questions asked. The only joint on par with this place is Riverside Cantonese. I am an expert in Asian food given my Asian heritage and this place will not let you down. The owner is a specialist in Asian cuisine. Mark my words this will be a brew you won’t forget

Canton Chop Suey House, more like "was this food made in downtown Shanghai Chop Suey House". The food is succulent. The salt and pepper box did things do me that I haven't experienced since my 2008 Amsterdam trip! Prices are good, delivery is quick and customer service is always on point. Most importantly, there is a dreamy 5ft8 delivery driver. I've heard he goes by the name Teddie Erott, but I could be wrong! He has the most gorgeous green eyes, and gives top tier customer service to the people of Cardiff. If you are lucky to be served by this Godly young man, then make sure you give him a well deserved tip!

Been twice since moving to the area and on both occasions very pleased with the food and the service will definitely use again and try some more dishes 😋

Best Special Fried Rice ever, (& i'm fussy). Generous succulent meat pieces spread throughout with a softly fried egg across the top. Don't bother phoning as their always busy, luckily for me it's only a short drive away.

This Chinese is by far the best in the area. Their food is much tastier than any local rivals. Have ordered several ti.e with smashing food and fast delivery.

UPDATE: I ordered food last night and found the quality wasn't up to standard, as a result from poorly prepared food I had mild food poisoning. This gave me 48 hours of discomfort; I won't be using them again in the future. Hardly surprising as it only has a 3 star hygiene rating. Lovely clean takeaway, good provisions for social distancing coupled with a fantastic menu. My order was placed then you wait outside to be called in to collect - for me this wasn't an issue, it took no time at all. I highly recommend it, the only downside (I didn't drop a star is this is no reflection on the food or service) is parking a vehicle (motorcycles have space outside to the left, by Aldi). There's no spaces outside and there is a bus lane with camera in front of the shop. My advice is aim to park nearby and walk in to place your order. Alternatively, order ahead by phone for collection or have the order delivered to your property. Either way, you won't be disappointed with the food, service or priices.

Ordered recently from this Chinese and it was delivered within 20 minutes. However, the order was wrong. We phoned the Chinese to inform them of this and was told that the fault was on us and they weren’t prepared to do anything about it. Shocking customer service and will not eat here in the future and will also tell family and friends to go elsewhere

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best chinese takeaway that I've ever tried in cardiff. I've had regular chinese over the years from the heath area, canton, ely, whitchurch but this is now my regular place of choice. Friendly staff, incredible food with large portions, quick delivery and good prices for the high quality food. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this place, I order mine from their Birchgrove location to Fairwater where I live so it has to be amazing for me. Please try this place as I guarantee once you order from here you will not go anywhere else. Out of 10 I give canton Chop Suey house 9.5 stars

We are regular visitors to this particular takeaway, and have always been extremely pleased with the quality, quantity and services provided. Establishment has been fully covid compliant during our visits. Parking can be a bit tricky, however if you shop at the neighboring ALDI, picking up takeaway afterwards, parking is a lot easier.

After many years of not going here because of not good food..I thought I'd try as new management. The chips were frazzled, the curry sauce was runny too hot and more like Indian , the chicken was dry and shrivelled. I will not return sadly .

First time order and absolutely not the last. Prompt delivery of a first class meal of delicious, generous portions it was also exceptional value for money.

The box looked fab in the picture but very disappointing. £14.95 for chips, 4 chicken balls which were very fresh and of a good size; a few pieces of very small chicken wings and nuggets, 2 very small ribs, a very small amount of stir fry veg and no salt & pepper king prawns in mine although my husband did get a couple! The box was overfilled with chips which were not Salt & Peppered. In my opinion, overpriced, for the contents of the box. I would not buy this box again, but, I may buy individual dishes of my choice in the future.

Having struggled to find somewhere local that was open during lockdown, we looked further afield and found CANTON chop Suey House. Havent eaten there before but we 100% will be returning! Everything was well cooked but not over cooked, flavoursome, not greasy or too salty. Lots of fresh veg within some dishes which was really good too. Worth noting you can't go into the shop for any reason other than to pay and collect, due to social distancing measures, so please call your order ahead. We're stuffed and happy in our house tonight!!

Myself and my family dont eat takeaways often (last time being about a year) so thought we would help one of our local buisness more so during these current conditions. Food only took 15 mins to be ready after ordering and the way they have the front of the shop was brilliant. They had all the procedures needed to keep with the social distancing rules. Tape was used to section off collection and those working for Just Eat to sit while waiting to collect food to take to homes. The staff wore masks and stood away from Customer apon payment and knocked on the window to me outside while waiting to let me know I can pick it up and collect. Food The food tasted gorgeous, fresh and full of flavour. May I say the crispy beef was the best I had ordered from anywhere. It had the the right amount of crispness compared to others in the past I have tried which is too chewy. The chicken balls were soft yet crispy and the noodles were flavoursome. 💯 Reccomend! 😊

I believe this place has changed hands recently and I’m pleased to say for the better. Huge selection on the menu all cooked to perfection from what I’ve sampled so far. At last a Singapore fried rice that is actually nice and spicy! Highly recommend the Salt and Pepper box which contains a tasty selection of crispy chicken wings, ribs, king prawn, chicken balls and chips with a choice of dipping sauce, delicious! Now my go to Chinese takeaway. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

Having been going here for years, it has recently been taken over by new owners. the food has now gone downhill, bland tasteless food. smaller portions. Sorry to say i wont be back

After many disappointing local Chinese take aways we decided to try Canton Chop Suey House. Was by far the best Chinese we’d ever tasted. So much flavour, home cooked,no oil residue, chips were lovely and delivery super quick..despite them clearly being ridiculously busy!!!

Asked delivery time got told 45 mins.. after an hour and a half waiting rang them up (didn’t seem to care at all!) and came up with some excuse about it being the delivery drivers fault got told it had left the shop 20 mins earlier.. food eventually turned up 2 hours later (further 30 mins after phone call) tasted like it had been reheated. Unfortunately paid by card over the phone otherwise would have cancelled as we had two kids hungry waiting for their food! So disappointed will never order from here again!
