Canton Chef in Ribble Valley

Fab food at reasonable price and convenient as it’s in the middle of town and always open at the right time.

Not many Chinese takeaways open due to New Year and grateful for Nancy to fill our bellies this Sunday evening.please note!.Best Chicken fried rice ever….kind regards Martin.

Have been here quite a few times over the years. It WAS shut for a time over our festive season [Not the Chinese New Year!] It is a take away and not a resto! As title suggests it is up and down in terms of saltiness etc, A mate recommended the large spring rolls; I asked about them and apparently the smaller [vegetable] ones were full of bean sprouts, but the larger ones had prawns, noodles, a tad of pork.... NO! They were stuffed with bean sprouts which my son suggested we use to make own meal tomorrow! And too salty. It was find the small prawns,,,,, The chou mein was a lot better-ok it is not actually a Chinese dish but invented in the good {?] old US of????? There is a dearth of good chinese take ways in the Ribble Valley who deliver, unlike many other parts of the UK; I was in Wales once near Chepstow and the Chinese had a large map on the wall of the area-and there were taxis waiting to deliver!!!

This is the center of town and has a broad menu. My favourites are with Brown Bean sauce/basic Chinese Curry but most meals are very good.

nice Lancashire village, enjoy a visit of the castle, you will have a nice view to Forest of Bowland and Pendle. Nice shops and Pub around the area

I have been buying Chinese scoff at this place since 1987. it is almost always perfect and the Curried Chicken, Beef in Black Bean sauce... almost anything are good. But recently it is hardly ever open. A notice suddenly appears on the front window: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, shut until 23/10". Not for the first time. Shame because the food is good value.

Visit the brewery development..great selection of beer . Decor and design exceptional. Staff charming. And a great butchery and food store. Not to be missed .

Clitheroe is a Lancashire town with loads of character. There some great places to eat and shop, there’s a nice park and a historic castle. Well worth a visit

A really nice town, lots of independant shops as well as many high street chains. Plenty of places to get a coffee. Visited the museum at the castle, well worththe entrance fee.

If you want high-end chinese food, this probably isn't the place for you. But it's cheap and there is nothing wrong with the food. The only issue is that only take away and if you are mobile, The Great Wall (about 3 miles away) is a MUCH better chinese restaurant (and it's actually a restaurant as well as a take away.

A lovely little town with a castle, lots of small shops and a market. A really amazing sausage shop that sells 70 different kinds of sausage leaving you lost for choice, and the people are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Well worth a visit.

This is a double entry for the Canton Chef, which is a good value Chinese & fish and chip takeaway in the town centre.

Chinese and Fish and Chips at good value prices, good quality, friendly service, 2 steps with handrail, double yellows outside.

Chinese only served in evening, lunch fish & Chip menu only, very good food, acces has steps with grab handle.
