Cano's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Dungannon

Probably the worst food and service I’ve experienced. Rude and arrogant owners. Don’t complain it’s not worth it. Plenty of other places to eat and enjoy.

2023 - for some reason my partners family keep booking in here. I'll start with the good. There is plenty of parking. Unfortunately that is where it ends. The negatives. Staff, inattentive, uninterested and barely near enough to get their attention. I'm sorry but good service is a must in any restaurant but they were often gathered together in groups of 5 chatting. After waiting a fairly long time for the main we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, or if everything was to our liking (you'll see shortly it wasn't). The food. The worst of it. It was no better than a 1 pound frozen meal from Iceland. It tasted worse. I had the lasagne. It was a pathetic portion about 4cm in height. The menu promised layers of Ragu and bechamel sauce. I got garbage. I'd say it was about 4 X 2 inches in diameter, which is a tiny portion and the garlic chips were reheated, grease sodden potato cubes. Not fries! The garlic pizza bread had a decent base but no flavour of garlic (much like the garlic fries actually) I don't know if it was a cost saving measure but it tasted of tomato sauce and cheese not a whiff of garlic. Very vampire friendly. My partner again had the Bolognese and she again thought very little of it. The portion size for her was okay but the sauce was bland and an idiot could cook spaghetti properly. I've had better Italian meals from non-Italian restaurants and roadside cafes. I'd avoid unless you want to overpay for mediocrity

Staff (male servers) should not wear sports shorts in a restaurant setting. While the staff are more than helpful and courteous their appearance should also be high on the list.

5 of us aged 50 ladies wanted a good, appropriate night out. Went to Canos as it has never failed before. It’s been 25 years & it never fails to disappoint. From the extremely welcoming greetings to the well deserved glass of wine after a hard day. The food is fresh & delicious, & we had an extremely hard to please vegan in our group. Sean & Co. Catered to all our needs with absolute courtesy & nothing was troublesome. There’s nowhere else in Dungannon I’d rather be as great food - especially the weekend specials-, lovely vibe & atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyable experience. Will be back very soon 😊

Lovely pizza, good drinks menu, very friendly staff, fresh ingredients and good value. This place really is a gem. Was happy to support them all through lockdown so it’s great to get back to normal and dine in again!

Very good pizza, Cano’s has been around Tyrone for years. You can see why as there are not many pizzerias you would sit in in Tyrone and call them a restaurant. The choice of pizzas, toppings, desserts and starters as well as pastas are really good. Service was very friendly and the price was reasonable. 2 large gourmet pizzas , 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 dips for £32.50 Will definitely come again. Time limit and cash only was a bit annoying considering the wait was long enough. It’s a convenience restaurant, not the most relaxing, staff and owner want you in and out to turnover quickly.

We recently ate at Canos in Dungannon, where do I start... Menu was a severe letdown, I have eat in many Italian and standard restaurants where you did not get 2 choices 1- pizza 2- pasta. Whatever happened to risotto, linguine, seafood, chicken ( not something Moy Park supply pre made ), beef, crab, prawn.... there is so much this place is missing I was quite disgusted. To top it all off, I am now also explaining I have lost a day's wages due to severe stomach cramps and diarrhea and belive me this will not go without me telling everyone I know, as I feel this is one of the worst places o have are in Dungannon, possibly in all of Tyrone. Starters were basic, 3 slices of bread with a little bit of diced tomato, and no onion or olive oil... pesto was OK, but very very cheesy which is not really my cup of tea. Looking forward to desserts... so annoyed we left without any. Horrible experience, not worth the money and staff looked like they weren't interested. I will not be back, nor any friends or family.

Canos is the perfect go to restaurant or takeaway, yummy Italian pizzas or pasta with lots of variety on their menu, refreshing cocktails and unreal desserts. The garlic pizza bread & garlic menu also gets a 5* in our books. Really lovely and welcoming staff and a lovely ambience, looking forward to being able to sit in for a meal again soon, can’t recommend enough, v accommodating for vegetarians too!

Came back to Cano’s the week after they opened after lockdown. Had 3 courses and drinks. Pizzas and desserts were excellent. Slightly let down that one drink, one starter and one dessert which were all on the menu were sold out, and we had asked for all of these. Sanitisation well in place. Good value. Time limit also quite offputting - 1 hour 15 for two people meant that as soon as I had my last bite of my dessert it was time to go!

Having been regulars from the beginning, we ate here last weekend and were a bit disappointed at the meal. Service was good but the food just wasn't as good as in the past. We shared a 'large' garlic bread supreme as a starter, the size was disappointing and not how we remembered it. It was also very dry with very little sauce and cheese on top. The base was doughy and bland. Same with the pizzas, 9" looked small and toppings were light. The garlic fries and chip portions also seemed small with a lot less garlic butter than before. It felt as though the management are trying to reduce costs by compromising portion sizes. We used to struggle finishing a shared starter, 9" pizza each and 1 side but not this time.

Cano's has went down hill dramatically!!! Came here for a birthday meal and from start to finish the whole experience was terrible. The attitude&hostility our party of 11 encountered was absolutely disgusting (this included 3 kids) The staff were rude, obnoxious and extremely patronising..3 young girls hovering at cocktail bar gossiping most of the night and rolling eyes when asked for anything. No option for a simple jug of dilute for kids and as it was extremely hot we had to request a couple of times the only option for kids which were juice boxes! Our table was right beside this area yet it still took up to 15 minutes for items we had ordered to be brought over. We arrived around 6.15 and it was almost an hour before our food order was taken even though we tried to get the attention of the staff on numerous occasions. When it did come out the lasagnes that had been ordered were more like a microwave meal and one of our party actually felt sick after having eaten it. We had to ask for the bill twice and when it did come out we were never even asked if everything was ok etc. Given we had been there from 6.15 and it almost 9pm we left straight after the bill was paid due to the kids being warm, tired and honestly still hungry. Such a pity as this was once a pleasant and friendly restaurant that we frequented quite often and now none of us will likely ever want to visit again unless a change of ownership ever happened or better staff training put in place!

Canos is great for pizza staff are friendly booking is recommended as it gets very busy. Ideal for families or couples

Walked in no booking we were promptly seated and provided with menus etc. The quality of service and food was excellent, staff very well organised and polite.

Booked a table for last minute dining on Saturday night. We were seated quite promptly and given our menus. The staff were friendly. I had a French martini then moved on to a glass of merlot. We shared a starter of garlic bread which was plenty for two people. For main course I went for the lasagne which came with a small side salad and I ordered a side of garlic cubes. Food was lovely. Only fault we had was that my fiance asked for some brown sauce and they didn't have any.

The serving staff were very slow, forgot things we asked for and had some attitude difficulties. The food was of a high standard, delicious pizza and chocolate fudge cake. The Chicken Caesar salad main was more like a starter though in terms of chicken content - just a few tiny pieces through it, what there was of it tasted great though. It was a Saturday and busy, so perhaps it’s better when quieter.

I met up with some friends last Thursday to catch up and have abite to eat. What can I say only the food was delicious. I went for a Mexicano and a side of garlic fries, very tasty. Really cant complain. Lovely staff and service, extremely reasonable prices, peroni on tap and delicious pizza. Would recommend.

I have been coming to Canos for years, heading anytime I am near Dungannon. Quality is always consistent and food always delicious. Service is always attentive and pleasant. I have never left Canos without been asked at least twice if I enjoyed my meal and was I happy with everything.

Very cool atmosphere and great pizza! Service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Cano's so much that we stayed on for drinks after our meal. Prices were also very reasonable and would definitely recommend!

Went here with a couple of friends lately - and like every other visit to Canos we've had, it was a great experience. Food is excellent, staff are brilliant. Attentive and always very pleasant & accommodating. The new cocktail menu is a must! Food is very reasonably priced too & would highly recommend for large groups/staff parties. Ticks all the boxes!

We organised a group of 16 to attend Canos on Saturday 1 December. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent quality and there was plenty of it. The premises were very clean and tidy. Overalll we would highly recommend Canos for large groups of people. We will definitely be back to Canos in future.

On Saturday 01/12/18 14 of us attended our annual football outing. The food was tasty, fresh and wholesome and the 14 players all with different tastes voiced the same opinion. We had great table service over the 3 courses and the staff were attentive in making sure that the drinks and glasses never went dry. This is our 3rd or 4th year attending and it just ticks a box. Good food, good service and clean homely surroundings.

I do not understand how individuals can visit this place and enjoy it, it is a complete joke! The young staff working in it are a disgrace with no decency or manners what so ever. This restaurant made me feel so unconfortable, our waitress had such an attitude not pleasant whatsoever I do not understand why the management have not got rid of her! The food was completely overpriced for such poor standard of pizza, would of been better off getting a frozen pizza! what was meant to be a nice night out turned into a very poor night. The drinks from the bar were seriously unprofessional and sloppy, serious training needed for the young female at the bar. I cannot emphasis enough how much I do not recommend this restaurant, management need to seriously get their act together, even the music was awful. Will never ever be back!!!

Went for a pizza on my own on my way to visit a relative in hospital. shown to table and given menu. Had to stop waitress to take my order/requested water to drink. When ordering my pizza I asked if I could swap one ingredient for another and would I be charged for that. I was told yes as the ingredient I wanted was more expensive. Waitress checked with owner and reply non changed. I ordered pizza which came with the requested ingredient on and french fries instead of garlic cubes. I queried this again but was happy to eat pizza which the base crust was burnt and little toppings on. Had to request my water which had not been brought to table. The Boss as I was eating came to table and lifted the pizza from me and accused me of being aggressive with her staff which I was. Her demeanour was very aggressive and her face was almost touching mine. I felt very threatened/embarrassed by her behaviour. As i was in a hurry I did not want to wait for another pizza and felt self conscious with other people watching us.

While hearing so much about this restaurant my family and I decided to go for a meal however it is not worth the good praise! The staff have such attitude and are not welcoming at all, we had a young girl serve pur table and not a pinch of manners was in her, not welcoming at all in fact she made us feel uncomfortable, then another young girl who was doing the drinks at the bar and seemed to be the barmaid seemed to have a problem aswell, overall the attitude in the restaurant is atrocious with staff being so rude and unwelcoming to customers yet can stand around gossiping and being nice! Completel lack of good customer service and i will not be returning!

We visited this restaurant briefly tonight and left without eating, appalled at the attitude of staff. We were a party of 6 and our young waitress put us at a table which seated 4 comfortably. To ease things we moved our 2 youngest to one of the empty tables just across from us. This proved to be a mistake! Our waitress hurried over and asked could we all sit at the one table as it would be easier when it came to the bill?? We pointed out that it was a tight squeeze at our table and could they not stay where they were at least until the table for 2 was needed? This wasn’t an option either apparently, nor was putting an extra chair at the head of our table. Basically the young girl has

I came here with a party of 15 for a meal - great service from waiters and waitresses. I always get the Mexicano pizza and it was amazing as always. Good portions and reasonable prices. The cocktails were nice as well, but I think the strawberry daiquiris used to be better - I have a feeling there used to be fresh strawberries in them before and now it's made with a readymade mix as I could see it behind the bar. Great local restaurant!

This is my go-to place for an anniversary. I've gone here for the past three years for my partner and I's anniversary and each time the food exceeds expectations alongside the actions of the staff. Every staff member goes above and beyond for customer service and makes you feel special.

Stumbled upon this place looking for some food on a Tuesday night after the cinema, rang up and booked a table. Staff all very friendly and couldn’t do enough. Food lovely and so reasonably priced. Few reviews below but I’d say give the place a try. I’m glad we did. Can see ourselves becoming regulars .

Im not great at leaving reviews but on this occasion I feel I should give Canos restaurant a bit of my time. Finding good quality honest food to eat out is not easy in the Dungannon area with the exception of Canos Italian Restaurant.....consistently delicious pizza and pasta . Someone has left a very wordy negative review on here which in no way refects the calibre of this restaurant. My family, friends and many Dungannon folk are regular diners there and you would be hard pushed to find better pizza this side of Naples.....it's all about the food..and the wine is lovely also......no pretentiousness. ...and young staff doing their best....ten out ten!

On Tuesday 27th March at approximately 19.30hrs a group of 10 people visited this restaurant for an 18th birthday celebration. Admittedly, one of the party contacted said restaurant at 17.00hrs on the same date to book a table for 19.00hrs for a group of people (they had emailed the day before to book a table but no contact was made back from restaurant) and was informed a £5 deposit for each person was required. This was impossible to gather within the space of 2 hours to contact each person and ask them to contact the restaurant to give a deposit. It was decided, we would take a chance and just turn up to the restaurant and get seated then. How I wish I could turn back time! On hindsight, it was a Tuesday night in a small town in County Tyrone so we where pretty sure it would not be a problem and thought no more about it. Most of the party of 10 came from surrounding areas across Mid Ulster. My sister in law and her 2 children arrived at the restaurant first and sat at the largest table there that was not reserved and available. This would make sense as they knew there where a group of us soon to arrive. My sister in law was approached on several occasions with regards to her sitting at that table to which she informed each different member of staff she was waiting on a party to arrive. The manager seemed to be aware of us coming as she asked to speak to the person on the phone that tried to book the phone. My sister in law felt harassed and awkward at the this stage so much so her daughter said to the staff 'that's enough'. She made the phone call to me that she was not getting good vibes from Canos and could we change where we would eat but again on a Tuesday night at this time I'm a disadvantaged town with little eatery places unless we went to McDonalds or Supermacs, we where really left with no choice but to continue on with said restaurant. On arrival to Canos I was told a member of staff wanted to speak with me to my disbelief. I nervously approached the staff and asked who wanted to speak to me. Some lady came out with white clothing on and I introduced myself. Sadly this member of staff didn't, so I wasn't aware of her name until the next day and I now know it is Kelly. Kelly stood waving her arms about telling me if I wanted to book a table again I would have to pay deposits etc. At this stage, I agreed with Kelly and just wanted to sit down as I could feel all eyes on me from other customers and the party I was with. Anyway, food was ordered with service slow but not an issue at this time. Everyone was chatting and having a good time so this was not an issue. The food was off poor quality for the price. Pizzas where dry and if someone blindfolded you, you could not tell you where eating carbona. I asked for garlic mayonnaise for the pizza to try and get a taste of it and I can only describe a sample tester of it on the smallest bowl came for 10 people. It didn't do 1 persons meal. There was no drinks menu available so you had to guess what would be available but careful not to ask too many questions to staff as they appeared and acted irritated. On using the washroom facilities there was no hand sanitary in the bathroom on the bottom floor (an empty container). It was not to the cleanest standards either. The male waiter we had was the only member of staff who interacted with staff and was very professional. He could not have been more helpful. I cleared the table and washed it down before the birthday cake came out of the kitchen I had taken with me. Again, this was no problem to me and I was only happy to do it at the time. I had to ask the waitress to light the candles which was a figure of a 1 and a 8 before we got to the table as one figure had blown out. The bill was not able to be split so we had to sit and divide the bill between each person. I wanted to order another drink but my family asked could we just leave Canos as soon as possible. The next day my family where still going on about the unsatisfactory food and poor service we received and asked me to contact Canos to express out thoughts on our evening out. By chance, I looked at TripAdvisor and Facebook which I should have done the day before and to my astonishment many of issues I expressed had already been raised by previous customers. This told me management and owners do not take complaints seriously which I was soon to experience first hand. I contacted the person in charge the next evening at 17.00hrs and expressed my thoughts on the previous evenings events. Kelly was unable to deal with my complaint which I immediately thought was strange as she was the manager and is this not part of managerial role? Anyway, Kelly told me the owner would contact me which I eagerly awaited. From previous reviews, I knew before the owner rang me she was not going to be very nice to deal with but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. How wrong was I? After going through the whole event again, the owner Noreen told me if my sister in law had got them vibes from the start we should have got up and left. Shocked, I asked Noreen to repeat what she had just said as we had spent a large sum of money in her restaurant and it did not look like they where turning customers away and it was a Tuesday night and was she not glad of the custom? I also told her I realised it was very hard to own a business in this day and age and did not wish to slander her business name on social media and tripadvisor and could we sort this out on floor level. I advised her to have her manager have some training regarding customer services along with herself and I wanted a voucher as compensation. It later transpired my family never wish to eat there again so a voucher would not be accepted. Noreen assured me she would contact me with an update and I am still waiting 3 days later

Great pizza in s friendly relaxed atmosphere. This place is very child friendly which is good for use. Was good value and the service was pleasant. Recommended.

We found this on our way home, last minute, thanks to Google.Even though we had not booked, and it was a Friday night, the staff fitted us in. The staff were all very nice. The food arrived promptly. I went to Carbonara, and paid £1 extra for Chicken in it, and it was great. My wife had a Pizza, and it was great. We were so well filled, we had no room for dessert. The toilet was clean, and restaurant was nice.The prices were very reasonable. Just took off one star as music was too loud.

This was a group family celebration which was booked in advance.The location is very central,the place is clean and the food is good....when it arrives. We waited much too long for the food to arrive even though there was an adequate number of staff on.Our party comprised of drinkers of alcohol and non drinkers though staff seemed to be very interested in taking our drink order frequently. Also the gap between starters and mains was too long------pizza is not a difficult item to prepare and cooks quickly but the place did not seem to be overly busy. Young members of staff seemed at times to be confused and not supervised properly and I felt that well over an hour cut have been cut from our stay there had there been more of a push on. Good food however but the wait left left one confused...

Love the fact the waitress leaves you be and you are not hassled. Food is average, really not my favourite but it's cheap. Great for a night out with friends

Birthdays, celebrations, just a meet up, this is the restaurant my friends and I choose. The desserts are particularly delicious and the prices aren't too bad. Unfortunately the last few times we've went we've had to wait extremely long to be served or something hasnt arrived right, I think they might just be short staffed, which is a shame because its such a good restaurant.

Tenía para arranque, bruschetta no podía comer era insípida. Pizza para principal estaba hecha y seca. Muy caro para lo que te dan. El servicio era muy lento.

Genial para salir por la noche. Buena relación calidad-precio y un ambiente acogedor. Bar de cócteles para antes de la comida (durante y después! )

Reservamos con antelación y me quedé inmediatamente impresionado con el servicio por teléfono, ella nos preguntó si necesitábamos cualquier Extras como sillas altas o cualquier otra cosa, era muy amable y profesional.

Been on several occasions, went over the Christmas holidays to meet up with some friends. The food was good and could not fault any of the dishes I received. However, we were sat in a booth and throughout the night got quite cold and had to put our coats on, the staff towards the end of the evening were slow to take our desert order and a lot slower bringing the food.

My husband and I invited two friends out to Canos for dinner..on arrival it was clear the 15/20 men at the next table were loud..unfortunately knowing we would never get another restaurant at short notice we stayed...big mistake..we spent the whole meal shouting at each other to be heard and skipped coffee as our heads were sore..unbearable!! The young waitresses asked them to be quiet but obviously were ignored..all the patrons around us looked really peeved off..a smart group chose to leave without ordering..im writing this as when I rang the manageress the next evening and was told the owner would ring me back this didn't happen..I understand Christmas party meals can get boisterous but this was a league above

Had a night out with co-workers. We had booked a table for 8 but a then another guest arrived. There was no problem getting another place set at the table. Food and service were excellent! Very busy night - great atmosphere.

Our first, but not last visit to a very pleasant, good value restuarant clearly very popular with the locals.

This restaurant is very family friendly , has a good choice of menu for everyone. Friendly staff and very helpful.

We ate here as a group of friends on a week night. Its a perfect retreat to catch up with friends for a few drinks & a delicious pizza or pasta dish. The cocktails are worth a try too.

If you are ever in Dungannon this place is a must if you like pizza. We ordered one to share with side orders and the young lad that took our order was excellent at his job and very pleasant. When the pizza came it was delicious. The place itself has a really nice atmosphere . Will definitely be going back. It is opened from 5pm to about 11pm . If you do decide to go it would be a good idea to book.

I try to visit Cano's once a Month as a treat and have yet to be disappointed. My food has always been excellent, great choice of drinks and friendly staff. There is great parking near hand and this is very handy. I like the ambience there and it really feels like the start of a night out. Young and old couples, families, parties all usual diners. Something for everyone.

Delicious freshly prepared variety of pizzas, chicken Caesar salads, cheeses, garlic fries, and selections of salads enjoyed by 25 of us last Sunday evening - a nice relaxing evening with excellent food and great company ! Staff very attentive - a lovely venue. Top marks to all.

This is a lovely wee spot to get a pizza. You can sit in or take out which is handy. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Lovely and comfortable. Staff very friendly.

Below average. Pizza was just ok. The green salad was the worst ever I got. Cheapest possible tomatoes with wet iceberg lettuce. Would of cost about twenty pence to make. Staff were lovely.

I was in Cano's a few weeks ago for a friends birthday and to be fair this place is very popular, it has expanded significantly over the years and offers both take out and sit in. It is as a sit in restaurant that it really seems to do well.However I simply find the pizza here to be no better than average and usually opt for a non pizza option (despite being a pizza lover in general).To be honest I think the popularity of this place is more to do with the lack of options in Dungannon than the quality of food served - but then again I do appear to be in the minority.If you've never been, don't let me put you off - call in and make up your own mind.

I decided to pay a 2nd visit to this restaurant after having a great previous experience. Arriving rather late at 9.50 pm we were offered a seat after the waiter confirmed with management. Our pizza arrived shortly after ordering . The meal was lukewarm and we were unable to finish our meal. On payment we expressed our disappointment and the young lady was more than pleasant and offered to consult management . What a disappointment !

Fantastic pizza, great atmosphere and lovely wine, what more can you ask for. Value for money and desserts are gorgeous. Nice relaxed feel for an evening with friends or family.

Just popped in for a quick meal. Excellent choice EXCELLENT service and the most amazing gluten dairy free pizza. Highly recommend. Hubby had an amazing Mexicano pizza too. Speedy service in a very comfortable friendly environment. Highly recommend for coeliacs.

Evening meal not booked but made to feel Very welcome.my seat was under a heater which got a bit overbearing but they switched it off on request. Family friendly with a range of Italian dishes mostly pizza. Sticky toffee pudding portion was generous and delicious as was the mint aero cheesecake.excellent Maud's ice cream. Lovely midweek dinner in a very pleasant restaurant.within walking distance of parking.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our accommodation hosts whilst we were staying overnight in Dungannon. Excellent Italian food for the main course and a delightful cheesecake for sweet, ensured I had a perfectly enjoyable night.

Ok I'll start off by saying - I've been to this place before, I was highly impressed - staff were excellent, food was good. So myself and a friend, decided that one evening after a long day of working down south we would call in and grab a bite to eat - great. So arrived and were sitting along the middle on the bottom floor, plenty of booths and what not but anyway. So I assume the manager - a lady with short hair, served us, took our drinks and food order - standard enough - two carbonaras, two sides. That was great, took forever to come but going on last judgement we were happy enough as we thought it would be nice. The manager then proceeded to give our order to another table - big mistake on her behalf because I'm sure if her staff done that she would go mad. So finally got our order, sitting waiting on black pepper and Parmesan - no avail. Called the manager over, asked about this, very disgruntled we received what we were looking. Still optimistic at this stage but the food was absolutely disgusting - wouldn't feed it to my dog. The main was bad but the garlic fries - I'm not sure square potatoes fried count as fries. Basically no garlic. So anyway paid for the order and would have liked the opportunity to speak to the manager about this or leave a comment but nothing of the sort was ever produced. NOT IN A HURRY BACK...

I live near Dungannon and used to visit Canos regularly but hadn't been for a couple of years until last night, I have to say I was a little disappointed. The food is always top quality and this visit was no exception but my wife wanted garlic potatoes and there were none, which I could have understood if it was late but it was only 8 o'clock. There was no coleslaw either so we weren't having much luck. Another small niggle that I would have is that tables for two are usually in a secluded part of a restaurant, and I know that Canos is not very big, but I didn't really like being stuck in the middle of the floor with larger parties surrounding us on all sides. As I said previously the food was excellent but there are a few things that I think could be improved upon in a restaurant with such a fine reputation.

I went here for the first time on Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised!! The food and atmosphere were great but what stood out for me were the staff, who were all very nice. The waitresses that dealt with us were very friendly and attentive and made the experience all the more memorable!!! Very nice restaurant and will be definitely be back!!!

Saturday evening in Dungannon starts with cocktails in Cano's in their new cocktail lounge. This was followed by a three course meal and drinks in the restaurant. Food was fabulous (as ever) and service was perfect. Waiters attentive but unobtrusive. No need to rush through meal and all was very relaxing. When the bill arrived we were amazed at how good value it was. Great place, warm welcome and will definitely be back!

Our food was lovely and hot. Unfortunately not a lot of choice for my husband as he is a steak or chicken man but now and again it is somewhere different to go. My son got a pizza which he really enjoyed but also had ordered garlic fries which he needed to fill him. The waitresses and bar staff are really very pleasant and helpful and always smiling.

I have been going to Cano's ever since I can remember and I have loved it always and have never complained on the food or service until their recent renovation.It is mainly their pizzas that me including my friends and family have noticed to be getting a bit below average.Cano's always had a thin pizza crust that I enjoyed, however during my last 3 visits, all since the new renovation, the crust has been so thin it was hard to eat, literally the thickness of a crepe and burnt around the edges, which has not only happened to me 3 times in a row, but to my friends also.I have almost went the last time to the staff to complain as my pizza base was so thin it had tears and little holes if you looked at it from the bottom.I do not expect miracles however it's ironic when you look at the huge portions of pasta you receive, compared to the amount of pizza crust in front of you.My last lasagne was mostly pasta, hardly any meat or bechamel sauce, and the cheese was old and tasted just like a microwavable meal unfortunately.The cocktails, desserts and starters are gorgeous though, especially the basil pesto served alongside bruschetta ! I have never complained on their service, however last time I have booked a table and was seated upstairs, as I was told downstairs was closed during the week, only to find minutes later the waitress sitting guests downstairs to eat despite still having room upstairs, which was strange.Overall great value, however I'm having second thoughts about coming back, which is disappointing since I've been going there for so long.

We are regular diners at Cano's restaurant and have always passed onto other circle of friends how nice the food is etc especially mint aero cheesecake for desert.However, recently we visited Canos with friends who just came back from Australia. Table was booked for 7.30 and was not ready on arrival. We were asked to go into the side room. We sat in the side room for 25mins without anyone approaching us to see if we wanted a drink while we waited or more importantly give us and update on our table we booked.A young bar man then approached and asked us, I felt sorry for him as he was the only barman catering for everyone he did try his best. Maybe short staffed??? Anyway the cocktails are AMAZING!However, I felt that I gave Canos plenty of time before I had to get out of my seat and ask when will our table be ready. The most annoying thing was 2 groups of similar numbers came in after us YET THEY GOT THEIR TABLE FIRST! I got out of my seat after 45mins to ask and the young girl said she would check and take our order before we go in. She disappeared for 10mins and at this stage I was getting very ratty due to bad service and hunger.55mins gone by and the waitress comes over to take our order and then FINALLY took us to our seats.To finish of such a bad start my wife did not receive her desert while everyone else was eating their desert. We tried to get the attention of some floor staff however it was too late.Standards have dropped! Unacceptable. Always treat every customer like you would like to be treated. Simple measures can make this service back to the standard we know Canos should be at.

We have been going to this restaurant for a few years and last 2 times recently been disappointing. Slow service even when restaurant was quiet. We ordered garlic bread with cheese as always and now coming out with burnt edges. I always order caraborna and was informed on last visit that they had ran out of sauce had to wait extra time for that to then it not come out totally hot,but eatable. My partner had lasagne and had more pasta sheets than meat in it. When ordering dessert had no "chopped nuts" for the sundae. Won't return for a while

Have eaten in Cano's many many times from it opened and always credited it for being consistently good. However, our most recent visit has let us down. Food was poor - all our pizzas were very burnt round the edges (we had to cut the burnt bits off )and were tasteless. Service was ok but felt very rushed, they couldn't get us out quick enough. The plates were even cleared away whilst our child was still eating!! Poor effort all round. We were very disappointed. Hope improvements are made to bring this place back to its usual standard.

There aren't many restaurants in Dungannon and this place is always busy - but too busy. The staff are extremely young, clearly all students and inexperienced. I booked the table well in advance and we were seated on high stools in what looked the waiting area. The waiting time for food was long, the noise was annoying but that was a lot to do with where we were seated. The food was nice but the atmosphere and service really ruined the experience. Won't be back.

I would eat here regularly and it is just lovely, the pizzas are beautiful, and they serve the best garlic fries in town, the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable and their desserts are a delight and to top it all off it is pleasantly easy on the pocket

I haven't been here in a while since moving to Liverpool but I really miss going to this restaurant!! I have been coming here from they first opened there doors and have never had a bad meal or service. Absolutely first class all around and would recommend this family restaurant to anyone

Lovely family restaurant, very reasonable price and lovely friendly staff even though it was very busy.

I can't believe some of the reviews I am reading here. My friends and family have been going to Canos since it first opened and have never had a bad experience, it has always been great. I accept some nights can be very busy and it may take a bit longer to get served, however isn't that the same in any restaurant. That delay is nice for people to be able to have a drink and a catch up. The food is always tasty and really good value for money. A place I just love going to.

As stated 'nice meal' - however, when I dine out I expect a great meal along with good service as you are paying for it. Having read previous reviews I'm disappointed our party didn't receive the great service others did.Lovely modern place and brought to our table straight away. Had to call waitress to table to order main meal, again to order more drinks, then again to ask for the desert menu (dinner plates were still on the table) then again to place an order for desert. That is not the service one should receive when dining out. When the food came the pizza was nice as was the desert but had to ask for salt and then spoons for afters. I will go back to eat here but won't be in a rush or recommending to others unfortunately!

Really helpful staff with a friends birthday..lovely fresh food and good menu selection..cosy seats and cosy small restaurant..not to dear and great service

My husband loves this place. I'm not a big pizza fan but here they are delicious. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. We had two starters. For main I had a pasta dish and he had pizza with a garlic bread side. We also shared a bottle of wine. The bill if I remember right was around £35. Would be a great place for dinner before a night out.

I have recently had the pleasure of bringing a large group to Cano's mid week.The girls handling our table were excellent,fast efficient and courteous.The food was superb as usual and there were some nice little treats added as starters and nibbles.The restaurant was packed and this was a wet,miserable Tuesday evening!This obviously says alot about the quality of fare offered.My family have been frequent visitors to Cano's and can honestly say have always had very positive experiences.I have read some negative reviews and can honestly say this has never been my experience.The restaurant has currently undergone an expansion and refurb which to my knowledge is the 3rd time in it's short existence which obviously points to its continuing success and owners not afraid to invest in their business to provide the customer with a refreshed dining experience.Well done Cano's

Booked a table for a Saturday night. Upon entering the restaurant we were not greeted by any staff for quite some time - so all 4 of us had to quite awkwardly stand at the doorway, amongst other diners. Eventually I decided to go and find someone for assistance. As for the food, I've had much better tasting food at much cheaper, roadside pizzeria's. For starter I got the Caprese Salad. I really like this dish as it is simple, and very hard to get wrong; slices of fresh tomato with sliced of Mozzarella in between, garnished with olive oil and basil. Amazingly, it was awful. With it being just 3 or 4 simple ingredients, you need to make sure they are good to begin with. Sour, under rippened and pale tomatoes. Mozzarella is a very mild cheese, but should have a mild, and subtle milky/creamy flavour. This stuff was just totally tasteless. Good olive oil is another essential. This oil had zero flavour. Worryingly, it was also greasy, a characteristic that should not be present in real extra virgin olive oil. Paying the price I did for it, considering the simplicity and the fact that it still failed in every way, was disappointing. Playing it safe again, I ordered a pizza. I paid more for it than I would in a cheap pizzeria take away, and it was still under par in comparison. Leaves you wondering what the point would be, when you can just get better for less in countless other places. Please note! I had this experience about a year ago. My reason for writing it now, is that I wasn't on Tripadvisor back then, and this weekend a group of friends suggested we book there. I persuaded them to avoid. I've no idea if it is any better now, but it goes to show how a first poor experience can influence the clientele. I've read more recent reviews with similar complaints, so I didn't see fit to give it a second chance on this particular occasion, unfortunately - especially when I know, even if I was to go back and get a decent pizza there, the same quality can be obtained elsewhere for cheaper. Doesn't quite add up. This is not to say I am not willing to give it a second chance sometime in the future. The other reason I went back to add this review was that I thought in retrospect; it would be helpful to management to receive constructive criticism so that they can learn from the feedback and know what to look in to. Poor service, poor food, good atmosphere, nice surroundings.

Called in for family meet up. I had not been there before. Easy parking. Walls needed some paint and seats a bit worn. Everything else was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. My salami and pepperoni pizza was very good. 2 of our party had the goats cheese pizza which was superb. I will have it the next time.

Went with family for an informal meal of pizza, chicken and spaghetti. Staff are very friendly and service was prompt. Freshly made pizza's were nice although my wifes was slightly burned at the edges but it was not a big deal. Kids meals were good quality and came with drinks and ice-cream which kept them happy. Garlic cubes were almost overcooked but not bad.Good for a family meal or couples although it was a bit loud when we visited with a large table of young women who were obviously out to party.I would recommend it overall.

I have been going to Cano's for years and can never fault the service. They have a good choice on the menu if you don't like pizzas but their Cano's garlic bread is to die for! Good value for money and the staff are really friendly. Great atmosphere also.

I visit Canos regularly when I am catching up with friends or family. I always get a Mexicano or caprino pizza they are so tasty and the garlic fries are to die for! My last visit was on a Tuesday night and there was still a great atmosphere. Service was excellent too with the lovely waitress topping up our water without us having to ask and always checking if we were ok! I used to work in this restaurant when I was at school and Cathal (the owner) never let's me go without coming down for a chat and even sending down a small salad on the house (thanks again!!) recommend this restaurant for any occasion!

Went to Cano's for the first time since moving to Dungannon. Took my Daughter and her young family. Service and food was first class. Very clean and tidy. Will be a frequent visitor. Highly recommended.

Midweek treat for meal in this restaurant was really nice, great service, did not have to wait too long on food. Great selection of food and drink.. Nice atmosphere in place.

Havnt been to Canos since I was a kid and have recently went back for craving a pizza with my mum! Pizza options are great with lots of ingredients to choose from. Garlic fries are really good too. Lovely staff warmly greeted us on the way in and on the way out....one lovely waitress even came running out after us with my mums purse which she left on the table!! Looking forward to my next visit.

Visited here with my girlfriend and we were both really pleased with our meal. We both had pizza and they were delicious and service was good too! Really reasonable prices for tasty food.

So having a lovely evening until firstly told toilets isnt working.. fair enough not their fault. Me: any chance of water for the kids as too late for juice.Manager: it will b bottled water then and u will have to pay.Me: well its not my fault the water isnt working.. was only looking diluted juice for the kids...Manager: we dont give out diluted juice.. its only for staff !!!!!! And we cannot afford to give u free bottle of water.. Wud always b in here and iv never been so angry at the ignorance. No need..where is the customer satisfaction.

Excellent food, highly recommended!! A few of my friends had been in February and were not impressed, but I decided to try it out as I love Italian food!! I definitely was not disappointed. Garlic bread was excellent and the pasta was perfect! Can't wait to return, really want to try out the pizza. Also, staff are really friendly and helpful, however, coming to the table 2-3 times per course can get slightly annoying. But overall a very enjoyable experience. Will be back very soon! Take-away service available also which I will be taking full advantage of!!

Myself and two friends had a sumptuous meal in Cano's, we all had different variations of pizzas, and all were in agreement that they were the best pizza's we have tasted since our last visit to Cano's restaurant. They were extremely busy when we arrived so I was delighted we had reserved our table. The service was excellent, the staff were very courteous and attentive, our food arrived in an acceptable time, and my friends and I were unanimous that these pizza's were as good if not better than one's we have experienced in Italy and America, (the would be home's of the pizza) I look forward to visiting again, a truly delightful experience. Food is lovely but just a wee bit to small inside for my liking but then again that's to everyone's own personal choice. Staff are Delightfull

I have been to Canoes a few times and I find that the same faults keep creeping up. The tables for two are ridiculously small, me and my guest where told we could sit anywhere upstairs and we choose a four person table for some room( there was no one else seated in this area, so we were not taking up the table from other customers) yet as soon as we did a staff member pulled away part of the table so that we once again we had barely room for the plates and glasses.My guest ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was off a poor quality, definitely not fresh chicken, but rather thin, processed chicken- and I would bet not free range. My Margaretta pizza was nice but i also ordered garlic fries which came with a spoonful of garlic butter heaped on the top which by half way down the bowl had melted and the friends became like a sloppy garlic soup. We were never asked did we want a top up of our drinks, we had to look for the staff rather than them coming to us. This i believe is because all other guests were seated downstairs and we seemed to be forgot about- I had to ask for the bill twice before being told i had to walk downstairs to get it- never have i been in a resistant that when you ask for a bill they cannot just bring it to the table! I also had half my pizza ate by the time my fries arrived at the table. I also ordered and was charged for a medium pizza to take away but when I opened the box at home it was a small-very poor service. However, I would return back to this restaurant as the food is cheap but the price you pay for cheap food is to expect a lack of good customer service.

Had eaten here once before and even though the service was poor we enjoyed the pizzas we both got. When we arrived no-one was in the restaurant and yet we were seated in a tight corner but both of us couldnt be bothered arguing as we were both hungry.I went for the carbonara and my girlfriend went for the spag bol as she had been told it was excellent, we also ordered a side of house salad to share. The dishes then duely arrived and I started to eat my dish i noticed how watery the sauce was, no seasoning at all and in fact totally flavourless - my girlfriends dish was the same and as for the salad Ive never seen worse. Leaves, some withered, thrown into a bowl, 3 quarters of a flavourless tomato (cut the way your granny would have years ago) and some bought salad dressing on top, a child in primary scholl could have done much better.To say it was a disappointment is an understatement - i did tell the girl who took our bill that it was poor fare but she said "sorry about that but Ive just started working here"

Canos is a popular restaurant in dungannon I feel in part because it is cheap and cheerful. The menu is quite small and could do with a little change and the tables for two are ridiculously small! From my experience staff are nice and cover the basics but no more. No matter what I order In here I feel I'm always left with a taste of garlic which isnt always pleasant. All in all I think canos is a nice restaurant if you want to catch a quick bite, however I wouldnt go here for a special occasion as I feel it is lacking . A revamped menu could change this perhaps!
