Nice little cafe with a lot of character. The menu was slightly odd because there was no details about what the breakfast contained. When we ordered, we also weren't asked how we liked our eggs cooked etc. I'm sure we could have asked, but it was odd that the information wasn't readily available. The food tasted nice, although we both felt as though we needed some sauce. The beans were homemade and therefore less saucy than Heinz. There were no condiments offered. Again, we possibly could have asked, but it is normally just provided.

Quite simply the best café and coffee in the area. Fantastic breakfasts. Superb Colombian coffee and a warm and friendly welcome. An absolute gem. Check it out.

The surprise nice weather in October made me fancy a visit to Bushy park. I googled places to eat, and Canela Cafe had good reviews. The gentleman that runs it was very warm and welcoming. Although the kitchen was closed, as I arrived late afternoon, he got a sausage and avocado sandwich made up for me. Very charming cafe, fantastic service and such a delicious sandwich. I’ll definitely come here again. Highly recommended.

Just round the corner - I visit on my mobie scooter whenever I can and the staff and my fellow customers are always charming and helpful, shifting furniture and tolerating my rubbish driving. A very varied clientele of hospital staff and patients, builders and locals. Fast and furious service and a lovely sandwich bar menu (looks endless on the display board) + essentials like full English, delicious crisp and floury chips… the coffee’s good, too, and there’s a collection of cakes on top of the counter… very reasonable prices, considering the location. I’m hoping for a move but, honestly, how will I find somewhere with a handy Canela?

Don't waste your time. They cannot handle more than 2 customers at a time. Long wait for food and regularly turn customers away. Unfortunately I have to put 1 star.

Stumbled upon this cafe after visiting HC palace. You won’t be disappointed. Fantastic sour American menu, and great value sandwiches and breakfast options too. Combined with friendly staff, it’s a lovely cafe and will return when in the area

Lovely little cafe, the tea alone worth a visit as pot for one very generous - stone where service and sweet little milk churns as milk jugs. Had a toastie - Brie, bacon and sweet pickle and added avocado. All came to just over £7.00

A flat white in London - less than £3. And it was an oat milk flat white too! The coffee was delicious, the café was so fun and it was a super friendly environment too. Take a few more steps and you won't be upset.

Like many places at the moment, this place has lost its charm as it is understaffed. A 20 minute wait for one coffee was pretty disappointing.

Visited with the family on a Sunday lunchtime for our first taste of Columbian food. The cafe was decorated very tastefully and there were books and puzzles for our daughter. We ordered the Arepas (beef and vegetarian) which we couldn't fault. The cakes were delicious and the coffee was up there with the best I've tasted. We'll definitely be returning! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Hampton Court or Bushy Park area.

Nice surrounding but I asked for white bread and got seeded also got salad i never asked for that isn't my cup of tea. Fruit juice and coffee great. More upmarket than a cafe tbf

Myself and a few friends had tea and cake in the Canela cafe yesterday it was lovely the cake was delicious service was spot on and staff were very friendly they were even kind enough to take a picture of us when I asked xx well recommended.

This is my favourite place in the area for great coffee and really good food. The staff are very friendly. I've been back regularly and enjoy it every time. They allow you to bring your own bottle of wine (corkage fee applies) so you can turn the meal into a celebration :-)

Lovely cafe run by a Colombian. Great coffee. Had the all day breakfast which surpassed expectations and all cooked freshly to order. Friendly service as well. Will definitely return. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Just had sandwiches (~£5.50) and so didnt expect much but they were great! All ingredients prepared freshly so they were still warm, with fantastic flavours. Even the side salad had interesting flavours. Hummus and grilled peppers was perfecr, with lots of garlic. The onion jam in the brie and bacon was excellent, and very good helpings of the fillings. Staff were incredibly nice and the interior is cute.

Great coffee very flavoursome indeed, always visit when I can. Staff are friendly and polite. Food is freshly prepared and very tasty.

Coffee plus English and Colombian food options. Pre-palace I enjoyed a gluten and dairy free corn/maize based arepas dish. Enjoyed that more than the palace, being the food tourist I am.

Well, I normally go to Dish, just round the corner, when I have a weekend brunch, which is very good. I am going to add CANELA to my list!!. I thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast with a Columbian twist and the coffee, as you'd expect, was superb. I drive from Guildford to go to Dish, I will now be doing the same to visit CANELA.

First of all the staff are great. Helpful, chatty, friendly. They are sincere, make you feel welcome and are doing what they can to make your visit a pleasure. Very good coffee, tasty food (you've got to try Arepa con Hogao). A great place to relax and have a unique culinary experience. You'll struggle to find a more friendly place in the area.

Good coffee, great use of large mirrors to make it look enormous, and interesting books and pictures etc dotted around to give it a quirky feel. It was busy when we got there, as it's a good place to meet up with friends.

A lovely cafe that is just like your home with a take away cup! I would rank it among the top 10 I have been to so far. The smell of the Columbian coffee is fresh and long lasting - I still wake up fancy a cup day after day. The service is superb - take away cups marked well with Decaf - my wife told me the Decaf is rarely so delicious. The photo books are a pleasant surprise! The reading corner at the front is everything I would imagine myself to be staying for hours with friends or alone.

I love this place! It's very warm and cosy with lovely music...great atmosphere with friendly staff.

Was excited to try this out, but ended up leaving a little disappointed. My breakfast with a Colombia twist was nice, but not much of a twist really... the only thing Colombian on there was the hogoa, the rest was just english breakfast. But it was nice. The arepa was different! If you've eaten plenty of Colombia arepa's, and there are various types, well this isn't like any of them.... so you might not get what you're expecting. It tasted ok.. just ok. It was soft and cooked with vegetables. Might have been nicer a bit crispier. Kids scrambled eggs were drizzled with olive oil. Kind of weird to put on a kids meal. No surprise, my kid complained and didn't like it, but ate it anyway. Tasted ok for me though. We mentioned it to the guy running the place when he asked about the meals, however he didn't seem to appreciate the comment and just walked off. The waitress was obviously in a mood, or just naturally grumpy, or just didn't want to be there. She just stands there holding a plate, doesn't say a word, waiting for me to re-arrange the table. Speak! She was young though... whatever.3 stars. You might want to go try it yourself. You might enjoy it. The waitress might be in a better mood. I've got no reason to go back there unfortunately.

Already a fan of the coffee and service, this was my first meal with a friend. It's unusual, prepared to order - and we both found it DELICIOUS! A real quirky treasure and still (currently) easy enough to get a table for lunch during the week... excellent range of dishes on the menu too (which means I can visit by myself for a snack and bring friends for something special). GREAT addition to Hampton Court.

I've been there just for coffee and the odd cake, but the lunch menu looks and smells delicious. It's a lovely comfortable place to meet with friends for a chat and the staff are helpful and friendly but not intrusive.

After visiting the Hampton Court Palace we were looking for a place to have lunch and couldn't have found a better place. Looks small from the outside but has plenty of space inside. And the food....what to say simply delicious! Super fresh and tasty! The staff is friendly and the environment is pretty relaxing. Shame we don't live close by otherwise I'll be going there really often!

Great place. Looks small from the outside, just 4 seats outside, but has plenty of room inside. It’s tucked away right opposite the station, but it’s nice as it seems like it’s going to be less packed on busy days in Hampton. The food is delicious as well, lunch was freshly prepared and generous. Having tried a few of the cafes nearby this is the by far the best. Worth a visit.
