Fourth time here, tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner twice with pizza and pasta as the main dishes respectively, the pizza is nice and the pasta is decent as well. Breakfast is even better, with quite a large range of choices. The homemade honey, ginger and lemon tea is something you don’t wanna miss. The most recent meal was a lunch and I ordered the lasagne. To be frank, it exceeded my expectations. Excellent presentation and perfectly cooked. Service is generally good and the environment is comfortable. They certainly didn’t slack despite being the only restaurant in the nearby neighbourhood. 4.5+

You'll be lucky to wait less than 45 mins for your food.

bad experience! really very disappointing! today I went to the establishment with my family and my husband ordered a lemon ricotta ravioli and when it arrived we were amazed at the amount served, there were exactly 7 small raviolis (really small) on the plate!! We don't know what to do! my husband left the restaurant HUNGRY! And that dish wasn't cheap at £16 for that amount! It's absurd to serve a dish like that to one person at dinner!! It wasn't a starter but a main course! Do you really think that 7 small (I'll repeat SMALL) raviolis are enough for an adult? Even my 6 year old would be hungry with that! I really found it disrespectful!

Don’t appreciate being asked to switch tables after 15 minutes of sitting at your table and having already made an order. Food is mediocre.

The reason for this review is only about the service! Kemi or kimi, apologies if I wrote wrongly her name (no name badge). We decided to move from one table to another, because the place is too tight. I just wanted to kindly ask her just to clean the water spill from the previous customer left on the table. She looked at me and said, as u moved to that table that wasn't cleaned up, “we didn't wait” and she said more, what do you want… do you want me to clean? But in aggressive voice tone! I just said yes please. After that I was not able to enjoy my coffee with my partner! Do not recommend!

An inappropriate attitude by the waitress. Were asked to move table after we were already sitting there. Not how the service should be organized in cafe on Saturday morning.

I visited the cafe today with two friends, hoping to get a table. However, we were met with two unresponsive waitresses. When I requested a table, one of them refused, stating they were preparing for individual visiting a theater event and prioritizing those attendees, despite plenty of available tables. Despite our politeness and well-dressed appearance, we were dismissed without any mention of needing a reservation or similar requirements. Their negative body language was evident. Walking away, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being mistreated and discriminated against. With 20 years of business experience, I value the importance of treating customers with respect. Their behavior was unacceptable.

I enjoyed a full English breakfast here and a latte. It was all pretty nice and filling and service was friendly.

This is a dining review for dinner on a Tuesday night in March 2024. Cramped seating for two with small tables. Slow service. Took over 30mins to get our mains. Had olives for starters.Vegetarian pizza was bland. The pasta with octopus was average. Negroni was average as aperol spritz. Tiramisu was good and larger. Service was slow.

This is a great spot for a date night! Everything was delicious, from the spritzers, bread, and rosemary nuts, to the pasta dishes 🤤 great service too!

Excellent food and attentive service. A plate of pasta isn't quite enough on its own if you're hungry, you'll need a starter or side dish too - I had the ricotta-stuffed ravioli with walnuts and sage which was beautifully cooked, the side order of garlic bread and strong Primitivo red were great accompaniments.

Good food but overpriced for what you get

Food was excellent, not terribly priced, good service, in a quaint, if small, restaurant.

We were staying at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel nearby and decided to go to this restaurant for breakfast/brunch as we had a lunch flight, it surprised us!

Had such a great experience here this evening. Our waiter who looked after us he was named simone was perfect! We loved his service and the food was delicious :)

Visited here on a Saturday early evening before theatre at Dock X. Although table was booked for 5.45pm, it took so long for our meal to be served that we sadly didn't have time for dessert. Food was tasty but the penne all'arrabiata that I had ordered was the smallest portion size I have ever received in a restaurant, even calling it a child's meal would have been a generous description. Drinks also seemed watered down, my Aperol Spritz was certainly not the vivid orange I would normally expect. Overall quite disappointing and wouldn't rush to re-visit.

Excellent find. We ate here before going to a play at the nearby Dock X. Good, short menu of about a half-dozen mains, similar number of pasta dishes and a selection of pizzas. There were some specials on the night we went (it was Valentines Day). The pasta dishes were different from the usual fare (it wasn't just a bolognese, a carbonara and a calzone...) - I had a dish of octopus pasta preceeded by roasted beetroot with mint ricotta starter and a fabulous tiramisu to follow. Good coffee and a decent wine selection. Good service and a nice, informal but buzzing atmosphere. Decently priced as well.

We had to wait 40 min for a salad and pasta. Yes, I believe so as the restaurant was very full with many people who were going to see the Mackbeth show at DockX. Unfortunately, we had to take our dinner for take away and afterwards we had to bin it in the entrance of the show as it was not permitted to go in with a cooked meals.

The food is absolutely amazing! They choose the very best ingredients. The location is very easy to find and communicate. The atmosphere is very good! It was such a perfect morning. But it was a very busy morning, they need more staffs.

I went to the café a couple of weeks ago because my husband was stuck in traffic picking me up. Despite the café being fully booked they found me a space to sit down and have a drink and tuck away my luggage for half an hour. Everyone's food looked super delicious!

Went for breakfast and it was super tasty and I enjoyed the fresh juice as well. The staff were really friendly and the service was quick.

Really lovely. We visited today - on a rainy Saturday morning - and would like to compliment the excellent Front of House, who did an impressive job running the floor solo even though place was completely packed. Beautiful cosy atmosphere, fab coffee, and a delicious pasty. Will be coming back and bringing our friends 😊

Have been going here fir years. Most recently I went over a weekend of birthday treats with various close friends. Friday, Sat and Sunday. My normally picky friends loved it. The staff were great. Particularly the nice waitress from Rimini and the friendly waiter from Catania, Carmello. Good at his job and with a great sense of humour. All under the expert and friendly supervision of the nice French Lady manager. Cosy vibes, great food. Informal but special. So great to have a lovely place like this within walking distance. I will be back. John.

The slowest place you will experience. We arrived at 5.30pm and got told we must return our table at 7.30pm. Of course, we will be quick i said. They took our order 5.40pm. Olives that require no prep came 30 minutes later along with the drinks. Main course? We don't know, still waiting, it is now 6.45pm.

Great location, food is decent but not a budget option. Felt the waiter was too hasty to take orders and rushed us with dessert cards.

Great cafe outside Canada water station. I was looking for a place to grab a coffee with a friend and we ended up having dinner. It was so lovely that I came back few days later at the weekend for brunch.

Visited the restaurant with 2 friends.

I was yesterday night for my first time to eat in this nice restaurant. As an Italian I was very satisfied by the quality of the food and moreover for the welcoming. Federica and Carmelo were really professional and friendly at the same time. We ordered a tagliere that was really good (I just suggest a bigger ration) with two pizzas and the dessert. I totally suggest this place as an Italian experience for a night.

The food, drinks and service was amazing, very friendly and helpful staff, big props to Federica, Camille.

We had a great time and a delicious dinner with our friends here. The starters, the pizzas and the desserts were all delicious, and the waitresses (Federica & Camille) super nice, as well. Gonna visit again for sure!

The food was tasty and the menu a good mix. Sadly the service was very very slow. It took 15 minutes for anyone to come take a drink order, even though we flagged down a waiter. The food then took another 20 minutes to arrive. I was pretty hungry by this point. It was fairly busy, so I want to be gracious, but it wasn't fully packed. I don't know if they were short staffed. I'll be back because it's one of the only nice restaurants in the area.

Best Mocha I have ever had! Good breakfast menu. Managed everything as best as possible while they were busy.

Long wait, untasty vegan options (with extra charge) and waay too overpriced. 7 pounds for garlic bread which is plain bread with a rosemary branch on top? 5.5 pounds for a 330 beer bottle (that’s 11 for a pint) + service charge.

One of my favourite Italian places. They can definitely do better with kitchen opening times and bookings but really good service in overall! Cosy atmosphere and friendly stuff.

I visited this cafe/ restaurant for lunch on a Thursday in mid September 2023. This place is popular as it has good service and it's lunch menu is more than akin to a restaurant rather than a cafe. The food served was well tasting and made on the day (unfortunately I have had restaurants in the area attempting to serve microwaved food from the day before). The staff were friendly and even the payment of the bill was a breeze. I highly recommend this cafe/ restaurant as the top place in the vicinity of Canada Water Station. My suggestion is also if you are going for lunch to arrive by 12.30pm to avoid the place being full.

We were told to leave because we didn't have a reservation beforehand although ee were allowed to stay for dinner.

Nice ambience and good drinks, but the staff was a bit slow to arrive, even though it wasn’t busy. Aperol spritz is well made, if you’re looking for a happy hour spot in the area you won’t be disappointed.

Resto très agréable avec terrasse en cas de beau temps ! Nous y sommes allés un samedi matin , c’etait complet. Le personnel est très sympathique ! Le breakfast est délicieux ! Nous avons passé un très bon moment.

Had the Prima Taglioni with Mussels and it was absolutely incredible. My partner had a pizza which was equally amazing, we shared the cheesecake with mixed berry on too and it was brilliant. Would highly recommend!

Delicious food. Really great with responding to queries about allergies and really proactive in identifying foods that individuals with allergies could and couldn't have. The best place I've ever been in terms of being informative about allergies.

Good food, friendly staff and great place to eat on a sunny day. Accommodating to wheelchair users but won't allow customers to book in advance.

Lovely wee cafe - met a friend here with her baby for a breakfast catch up and they were kid friendly, had a lovely atmosphere, made a great coffee, and had changing facilities for baby in the bathroom. Also very close to the station so easy to access. Would definitely go back.

The service here was absolutely incredible. We were quickly seated and tended to just the perfect amount. The service was not rushed, but the waitresses checked on us the perfect amount. The food was delicious. I had fresh pasta and it was cooked to perfection. It was very authentic. The desserts were delicious too. I had a set custard with berry compote, which had a wonderful balance of sweetness and tartness. Overall, the quality of the food was spectacular and the service was incredible. Everything was very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We came to eat brunch, and the service may well've been the best I've ever had. All of the staff were incredibly well mannered and they just knew whenever we needed something. On top of the amazing food here this definitely deserves all 5 stars I'm giving it

This was a mixed experience to say the least. We walked in and I asked whether they had a table for 3. I was met with an eye roll from the waitress who looked annoyed at me made it seem we weren't welcome. My mum and boyfriend checked whether I wanted to leave because it genuinely upset me (it had been an emotional long day so the rudeness from the waitress was just a bit of a final drop for me) but as we'd been going back and forth on where to eat we sat down. Service was okay, food arrived, except for mine. Turns out after waiting quite a while for food someone had dropped mine on the floor. So while my mum and boyfriend started eating I sat and waited. The positive note, their food was good! It was tasty and they both really enjoyed it. Once my food finally came it was okay, nothing too amazing either though. The server had said we'd get some compensation as the experience as a whole had been pretty terrible but in the end we got the full bill. It's a shame as it was supposed to be a lovely meal after a long day and the food actually was quite nice! The service was just not it. I think we just caught them on a bad day hence still 3/5 stars but I personally dont think I'll ever go back.

Lovely, fresh homemade food and plenty of veggie and vegan options. My companion and I were both impressed by the quantity and quality of our meals (pizza and veggie-burger). Staff are friendly and efficient and both the indoor and outdoor spaces were attractive and inviting.

The service is superb, really kind and helpful staff, they made every guest welcome. Food was great too, even had gluten free ( only for intolerance) vegetarian and vegan options. The only thing you should know before you plan to eat there, on the Weekends they only have Brunch/Breakfast until 5pm. Pizzas and other main courses are served after 5. It's based on the general demand and the fact that they have a small kitchen and can either do one or the other. I had a 'vegetarian breakfast' (Brunch) was nice. Coffee was perfect too. Clean and tidy Café.

Delicious food and good service.

I came here already twice recently so I can safely give my opinion. Unfortunately the food here is not anymore like it used to be 3 years ago and the proof is that on a Friday evening the place was half empty. The quality went down drastically. The tagliolini with Dorset crab seemed asian noodles which I like but not in an Italian restaurant. The parmigiana had literally 2 slices of aubergine. So basically I had tomato sauce for dinner. If there are people saying it’s good, they do not know what Italian food is. The staff is polite though.

I've got a soft spot for Canada Water cafe. The staff is so lovely and competent and the vibe is always great. Lots of good memories and their deli was great during the pandemic as they fought to stay open (and I'm glad they did) Saying this, sadly the food quality has gone down over the years.. Before lockdown I couldn't wait to go there for a treat. Post lockdown, this has sadly changed. Might be a new chef or something. Pizzas are a bit bland, seems like the sauce is from a jar or just not seasoned at all and the dough has become really chewy and bland as well. Toppings are alright but you can tell its not the same as before. Same problem with the pastas.. Sometime I think it might be something as simple as missing salt (and I'm not someone who needs a lot of seasoning in their food) Coffees could do with smaller cups (or less milk to coffee ratio) as the coffee flavor disappears completely in their cappuccinos and lattes so you're just left with warm milk with a hint of coffee. Saying all this, it's still worth a visit, as I'm hoping and I think they'll find their groove again in the future.

It was a cosy and beautiful cafe the food was funtastic. We ordered margarita which was not upto the mark but it was alright. Portion size was good the accepted all the changes we asked ☺️. Thank you

Lovely place, amazing staff, better cocktails than most cocktail clubs around and tasty food. Why 2 stars then? 1. “A 12.5% discretionary service will be added to your bill”. Sorry, but that’s my choice, not yours. And I don’t want to ask you to remove it and go through a very uncomfortable situation. I felt coerced and I bet many other customers feel too. 2. The bruschetta con nduja (£6) was delicious, but very very small for the price. The same with my pasta with caccio e peppe. Absolutely amazing… honestly second to none, but finished literally in 2 minutes (£17). The size of everything else was good but not great. 3. Half of the desserts were not available by 8:30PM, I understand this is sometimes difficult to control but was a pity. We ended up buying some ice cream at the Sainsbury’s nearby. Don’t get me wrong: I’m not trying to be mean, I’d love to see at least the service charge policy changing and go back to your place in the future (I live nearby).
