Food was below par.....the decor of the business seems confused.. nautical pirate theme with Italian menu starter was £8 for 4 mozzarella sticks deep fried and taste shop bought. I ordered a rib eye which came and was more fat than meat and was missing an eye was more like a rump steak and asked for medium rare and it came medium-well. Cocktail seemed to lack any alcohol. Wasn't asked at any point how the meal was Evan when paying and when I addressed the dissatisfaction there was little to no compasion from the staff....overall poor experience. Won't be returning and definitely wouldn't recommend

Food was delicious. We had 2 Gyros and 2 Chimichangas. Great plateful of food and served hot! Nicely presented! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My Gyros was served with delicious greek salad and fries! I would of preferred the Gyros already wrapped - but still it was delicious!

This is such a fun and quirky little bar and restaurant. The first time I came here I ordered a Greek platter... And to be honest the second time I came here I ordered the same thing. This is just because that chicken is absolutely to die for.. I however have ordered a different cocktail each time I've been here. (X3 so far) Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back in the future xxx so

The food here is ridiculously good. We were holidaying in the area, and entered Skipton looking for a Sunday roast, but stumbled on this place. The kids wanted to try something different, and I’m so glad we did. We had beautiful Garlic bread to start, and then a mix of tex-mex and pizza for mains. Every single dish was a hit. The cocktails went down a treat as well.

This is an interesting little place just outside the main centre of Skipton, with - relatively - understated themed decor and a wide menu of tex mex options. We enjoyed the starters - particularly the flavoursome Mexican garlic bread - and found the burgers to be a good feed, if slightly impacted by buns that fell apart in the hand (we'd ask in future for them not to be toasted). The service was friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed.

Honestly amazing food and amazing service. Can not praise the staff enough. They made the whole evening enjoyable, and even kept our toughest critic happy, our 3 year old! Can not wait to return for another meal

Went here Sunday for my parents' 40th Anniversary. We have been several times, and the food was exceptional as always. Service, on the other hand, except 1 member of staff (Anita) was dreadful. It took 20 minutes from being seated to someone even coming to take our drinks order. Over an hour of a table being vacated to someone making an effort to clear the table. It appeared the only member of staff actually doing any form of work was the one previously mentioned. Although this didn't ruin a lovely evening it did disappoint.

Very slow service tonight, mostly with drinks and taking orders. Anita was the saviour of the evening, she was polite, helpful and attentive, plus she knew how to smile. Thankfully the food was excellent.

We came here twice whilst on holiday in Skipton as we have done the past few years. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Not a scrap left on our plates. The first time we had steak fajitas and pollo peppercorn. The second time we had The Pulled Pork and Med Chicken. All dishes as nice as the other. Can’t wait to return again next year.

I hadn’t been here for years since I moved out of the area but it’s just as good as it’s always been! We shared some nachos which were probably the best we’ve ever had and such a generous portion. For mains we ordered a burger and the chimichanga which were absolutely delicious! The LA Summer cocktail was also to die for. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed it’s a great place for couples as well as families as there is something for everyone and the theming is lovely. The service was fab, our food and drinks arrived quickly and the staff were extremely welcoming.

High quality range of food lovely atmosphere and service second to none:) took my sons for a joint birthday treat and the young lad working there who’s name I’ve forgotten sang happy birthday to them and yeah it was a truely excellent experience and we will definitely return 🥰🥰

We have been before but this time, not so good. The place was very busy, we waited 20 mins for our table but, in fairness we did arrive a little early. Finally got our table and then, after having been given the menus, waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. I felt for the girls in the restaurant; they seemed to be rushed off their feet. I ordered the Gyros wrap and my wife the rack of ribs. This is now a tale of two dishes! The ribs were lovely, tender and succulent, the gyros, dry, overcooked tough and chewy chicken and just about edible in a wrap that had the texture of leather. I am a glass half full sort of person but this time, I am being honest about our food and just didn't feel it was as good as we have previously had at the restaurant. Sorry! PS. we did still leave a tip because we felt the staff were run off their feet as already stated.

Have eaten several times in calico jacks and have never been disappointed, the food is always well cooked and extremely tasty. Always excellent service and so nice to have a choice of mocktails on the drinks menu. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We travelled for a little break in Skipton and chose Calico Jack for our evening meal. It was highly disappointing, waiting 45 minutes for our starters and waiting yet another hour and half for our mains. The starters were nice yet over priced and the main meal arrived so late that could barely eat it. Not only that but the main meal was very average and again overpriced. I will not be returning to this restaurant as I had one bite of my disappointing meal and was still charged full price. I would not recommend.

We visited Skipton last week and stayed for a few days. Went here for our evening meal. The staff are excellent, the food is to die for and a great atomsphere.

We visited early May for my birthday, at the time when it was only possible to eat on the terrace. The food was really nice and tasty, service fast and friendly, and the cocktails were amazing too! We loved the terrace as well, it was raining but we stayed dry and the blankets were welcome! We can't wait to come again. Thank you!

We were greeted with a lovely smiling member of staff who throughout our stay was helpful and great to interact with. Personally speaking having ordered 4 meals as a group my Triple B burger and fries were too salty but certainly no complaints but compliments from the other group members. It's a bit pricey £11 for my burger, so be aware.

Our first date night post lockdown and we loved it! All staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! So glad to be back and happy to see them thriving. Will 100% be back!

We went as a family of four on a Sunday. The waiter was amazing with our two children and was very enthusiastic. Our food was lovely, the kids meal for £3 is great value for money. I had a chicken burger which was juicy and very flavorful, my husband had the calzone which he enjoyed very much too.Definitely will be returning.

Dined on Sunday, restaurant was quite busy, with a large group of young girls and lads drinking (some only 17 years old, drinking alcohol - the girl was talking about her up and coming 18th on Friday). We had to ask the group to tone the language down on a couple of occasions as we were sat next to them in a booth with children.I had the chimicganga which was lovely. The chips were fantastic. My partner had a pizza (meaty one, maybe called fusion?) which ge found pretty bland. My children had burger and pizza which they enjoyed. Decent size ice cream portion and a drink, all for £3 each for the children.The nachos were great too. Good service and staff.

Me and my partner went for food and cocktails here last week on Friday night. It’s very themed which we were surprised to see in the middle of Skipton but we’re glad we went.It was quite cosy and we were comfortable at our table for 2. The staff were very friendly and attentive and there was always someone around if we needed anything, thank you!The food was great, we both ended up with burgers and they were very juicy and tasty we had a side of nachos too which had a bit of a different seasoning to usual and they were lovely too. We had a few cocktails and all of them were incredible, we ended up having a few because they were so good. The strawberry daiquiris were amazing and the pina colada too, all tasted fresh and well balanced, I’d come back just for the cocktails!

This evening, we ordered a beautiful takeout from Calicos. It’s one of our favourite places to eat ordinarily so we knew the food would be wonderful!The vegan pizza was perfect and the burgers and starters were absolutely fabulous! Pick-up was quick and bang on time! A perfect birthday tea!Thank you!

Got a takeaway during the most recent lockdown and it was above expectations, the food was piping hot and so tasty and so affordable. We will defo be visiting again once lockdown is over! Really impressed!

Fantastic place for a family meal. The food and service was great and our two young boys loved the pirate theme. They loved playing the pirate snakes and ladders game, and the fact the bill came in a little treasure box. We will definitely be going again and we highly recommend to others thinking of booking.

Came here for an evening meal on a Saturday, restaurant was busy and lively, albeit uncomfortably hot. Once seated we looked over the menu and decided on the sharing board, however when the waitress came to take the order we were told they’d sold out of them, but the menu is very varied so other options were available. Starters arrived promptly and were very tasty. Main course however took in excess of 30 minutes to arrive. We had pizza and goats cheese burger. Pizza was lovely, the burger however was quite bland, tasteless and overcooked, so I ended up leaving most of it. Overall, the service was great however the wait between starters and mains was excessive and the burger was not enjoyed. I would come again for the cocktails but would probably give the food a miss.

Its our last night in Skipton so we popped here to enjoy the happy hour cocktails.We asked if we could have a few drinks before food and the staff were happy to oblige.The cocktails were lovely then when we got to the food it out did our expectations. The service was excellent too.I would definately recommend.

After a fantastic experience with the manager cooking I was left less than this on this occasion 18/9 2020 I ordered the same food awaiting the same experience, how wrong could I be the FIRST sirloin steak was cold the blue cheese sauce was not a sauce just 4 wedges of stilton!! The second steak was indeed hot but had no seasoning what so ever! When I spoke about this to the waitress she then informed me that it had been put in the oven, a steak should not be put in the oven as that loses its flavour and ended up as my girlfriend said tasting like liver. The steak was knocked off the bill, thanks to the waitress Sammy. However James the barman up until this point was appeared to be a decent guy changed when he through in a comment that I found to be uncalled for saying "nice one free steak". Overall when and if we come back again I will be asking for the manager to cook my steak because he cooks a steak really well INDEED as in the website for a chef!

The restaurant is lovely inside and very clean. We were quickly served with drinks and our food order taken. I’m a very fussy eater but I felt like the menu choices were very good! We had steak for main and the belgian waffle for desert and all of it was gorgeous! The only bad thing I can say is that they didn’t get my Husbands request to swap out one of the sides so he ended up sharing mine but apart from that no complaints at all and would definitely visit again if in the area.

We visited here earlier this evening. My goodness, the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. We were encouraged to use hand sanitizer on entry and shown to our properly socially distanced table. The range of cocktails was great, and with a 2 for 1 offer before 7pm, who wouldn’t? The menu was wide ranging so we opted for the share platter for 2 because we couldn’t decide. It was HUGE! Kids menu good too. Great atmosphere and fabulously friendly staff. We fed the 3 of us including 2 drinks each for just over £60. Excellent value for money. Will definitely revisit.
