Cakey Bakey Yum yum! in East Riding of Yorkshire

It's lovely place but the foods not what it used to be, small portions and low quality the last few times I've been in.

Best range of slices I've seen in a long time, with good coffee and service to match.

Just bought a small quiche and sausage roll to take away. Have eaten in and food is always nice. I must say haven't tasted better savoury snacks anywhere else in this area.

Always happy with Cakey Bakey, the staff is always amazing. The staff, even at their busiest, are always friendly and want to do what they can to help.

Had a fantastic mid afternoon snack (as did our pooch), Moogie. Ordered coffee and toasties for us and and introduced the brilliant staff to puppiccinos for Moogie which was above and beyond what we were expecting. Thanks guys. We'll be back (Called in again today, as ever, fantastic service, brilliant food. Cannot recommend highly enough).

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, the food is great and the cakes and traybakes are to die for. Highly recommend.

Saw the tea shop as we passed through en route to Spurn Head, have to admit it’s the unique name that pulled us back. Cakes to die for We had Raspberry Swiss roll cheesecake and a most excellent Banoffee Pie.

Eaten here and take away stuff lots of times. Excellent quality food always freshly baked and really friendly, helpful staff who always go the extra mile. Highly recommended.

Best cakes in the East Riding..In my opinion. I make a point of stopping here every time I am in the area and bring supplies back home.. lovely folk run it and always smiling.

My m8 and me made this a Pit Stop on our MTB ride starting out from the Humber Bridge carpark. Very nice place and sat outside in the Sun 🌅 as we can now, nice food but a little on the expensive side, had a laugh and chat with the lady who served us and a bit of banter with another customer, overall a good experience and will look forward to trying it again.

Today we went back to Cakybaky after a longtime in lockdown,soooooo good to get back for lovely food, lovely surroundings an fabulous friendly staff,it was agreat welcome back. A few things have changed but everything is fine,ooooops forgot to mention best cup a tea for miles around ,xxx

Really lovely tea shop, but paid no attention when we went it to purchase cakes to take out . They didnt even aknowledge we had walked in , i know they had a few seated customers in but there were at least 4 staff members who new we were waiting and they should have at least smiled and said they would be us shortly .politeness dosnt cost anything and making your customers matter is healthy for your own business.

Food ok but I am not a fan of eating from polystyrene plates or drinking from cardboard cups.

Ignore the grumbler who said this amazing bakery is terrible.. It so isn’t!! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food amazing..great selection of quiches, cakes, sandwiches and more besides. The curd tart was to to die for and I will be returning at some point to enjoy more of the delights on offer once I’ve walked off the calories from my first visit

Lovely sandwich and biscoff cheesecake

Went for lunch on the recommendations in Trip Advisor. This p;lace fully lives up to its name. The Ploughmans Lunch would challenge the biggest appetites yet every component was first class, tasty fresh and, I suspect locally sourced. It was absolutely the best. Sandwiches were in great bread and again full of flavour. The service was friendly yet not OTT. The buns were to die for. We were full so took some home and enjoyed them later. Yum Yum indeed

I've only been here once, but the cakes really are wonderful, including the gluten free options. Rustic interior, maybe a little cramped, but that all adds to the atmosphere. Adequate, clean loo, but you have to go outside to get to it. Service was good, but could have been a touch more friendly.parking directly outside.

While out and about in Holderness, my wife and I decided to have some coffee and cake. I'd passed by Cakey Bakey Yum Yum several times due to work, but never called in before, so this was a first for us - we didn't expect too much, but we were very pleasantly surprised.It was a Saturday afternoon when we arrived and the place was very busy - the staff were holding their own, but only just! Initially we'd gone for coffee and cake, but looking at the other offerings, while my wife stuck with her coffee and cake, I decided to have a bacon and cheese sausage roll with salad - they did look nice!We managed to find a table and it wasn't long before the drinks arrived and not too long after that when my sausage roll arrived ... without salad. That was quickly rectified though and we enjoyed our visit along with the food and drink.I was surprised that a small out of the way place as so busy, but I think that just shows the quality of the food on offer - very nice and well worth another visit. Pity about the queue of people, but than, that's not really the place's fault.Worth going out of your way to visit.

We visited as a group of friends, having coffee and a catch up. The lattes were very good, and hot (some lattes can be lukewarm) and the scones with jam and cream lovely. Good, friendly service - will return.

Lovely day. We popped in, had a good cup of coffee. Also a ham salad. Fresh and tasty. Good service. The cheese scones we took away were good. Also bought some pottery. If you’re in Patrington, or anywhere near there, it’s worth a visit.

On arrival many of the tables inside and out we uncleared of cups and plates. We sat at a table inside there was dirty cups and plates on our table which were not cleared at any point. Although the food and drinks were excellent, the staff were inattentive and seemed more interested in talking to each other in the kitchen rather than serving the customers. The whole experience was very disappointing we don't intend to come back.

Always lovely friendly staff, I rang and bought gift vouchers for my mums birthday and the lovely lady posted them same day and they arrived the following morning!

Fabulous lunch here with family this week. All our lunches were excellent but I can strongly recommend the ploughmans. We took cakes away with us for later and they didn't disappoint either they were lovely. Very pleasant helpful staff and lovely surroundings.

Stopped off here for a late lunch and couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious and the cakes are to die for. We had to take some home as we wanted to try them all! We would definitely return.

Quite simply - how could you possibly not go into a Tearoom called Cakey Bakey Yum Yum? Well, we did, and it is a rather stylish and smart place. As one might expect, it also had a fine range of cakes, pastries etc that fully comply with the Yum Yum billing. They also serve a good range of hot snacks, sandwiches etc.

We just chanced on this cafe as we passed through the village. It was lunchtime and it was just there. It's a lovely little with good tea and coffee. We had 2 types of sausage roll and shared between us. Good food, nice salad.

Good coffee, a wide choice of wonderful cakes and excellent service. Deservedly busy. Patrington is well worth a visit anyway for the lovely St Patrick's church, the spire of which is a local landmark and which is known as the Queen of Holderness. Devotees of Philip Larkin will enjoy the Larkin Trail 'waypoint' in the church car park and the landscape and atmosphere of this area, which will be familiar from some poems. He would have liked CBYY.

as soon as you walk in, you feel this super great atmosphere. I travel from very far away to spend some of my free time in Patrington and while I am here I visit cakey bakey every day. not only they offer the most amazing cakes, but you can grab a healthy lunch and a good quality coffee.

Very accommodating and dog friendly, we sat in the courtyard with lovely food and drinks.

Visited Cakey Bakey in Patrington with some friends for a bite to eat and drink and I would really recommend this place. The food was amazing and very tasty and fresh, the staff where all friendly and polite and it has an amazing atmosphere. You can well tell that this place is a great asset for the locals and the local area. They also allow you to eat in a take out but I wouldn't charge for this option though because it might turn some people away. But overall an amazing and wonderful place. 5 stars from me

What an absolute little gem of a place. Only a small place but we really were spoilt for choice.Service was fairly quick considering how busy they were and any delay came with an apology. The lemon cheesecake is too die for,will definitely be back if only to work my way through the cakes.

Visited Cakey Bakey on Mother's Day weekend with my mum and famly. The shop itself has lovely old-world charm; it feels like stepping back in time.

We were with friends visiting the Underground Bunker and Spurn Point and popped in here for lunch. The coffee and food were first class and the staff and decor really pleasant.

Great meeting place for catch up Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Spoilt for choice of which cake to choose, settled for passion cake cheesecake absolutely yummy. Cant wait for next visit

Popped in several times while we were holidaying in the area in January. Cakes were lovely, although the only gluten free option was a brownie (boring). Smashing sausage rolls too. Service was reserved and polite rather than friendly. But excellent value for money.

Treated myself to lunch here after the hecticness of getting ready for Christmas. As always great food and service. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Really nice atmosphere and lovely cakes!

Cycled out to Spurn point and upon returning felt hungry and spotted this place. Like an oasis, lovely sausage roll with fresh salad followed by caramel slice. All washed down with latte and tea. Prompt service and attentive servers. Ace. Will come again when in area.

Excellent place for snacks and drinks

My wife and two My wife and two children (7 and 9) were exploring the area around Spurn Point (which has some awesome places to check out!) and we thought we would just stop in a random town/village and see if we could get a coffee. Sure enough, we ended up in Patrington, parked for free on some side street and walked the 2 minutes to the tiny little high street.

Great food and lovely setting, also brought take away another day. Cakes and pies all amazing. Highly recommend!!

A must.. divine melt in the mouth delious cakes.also serve a selection of foods for lunch along with ice cream. Service is very good, helpful and friendly. Cater for young and old. Try it once. And you will want to return time and time again.

This was my first visit today upon the recommendation of family and I was very pleasantly surprised.

What a loveley welcoming coffee shop, was looking for somewhere nearby to make a birthday cake and came across cakey bakey yum yum....so drove up there for a coffee... and a piece of cake of course...spoilt for choice. Everything looked loveley and the staff and the coffee was superb, ended up ordering a birthday cake and cup cakes for a forthcoming party. Well worth dropping in.

Great local shop. Fantastic cakes and services. Prices can be a tad high but you deffo do get what you pay for, plus it's going to a local family not some multimillionaire. Would recommend this shop :) Never had one bad cake from here 😎

The food is delicious in here and the staff are so kind and helpful I have Parkinson’s disease and this is the second time we have been here and both times they have gone out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. Lovely little place! I was never a big cake eater until I moved up north and found this place! Customer service is first rate too. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Friendly welcoming staff, home baked cakes and a great choice of coffees and savoury snacks. Not good for the waistline but yummy ! My favourite snack is the black pudding 'sausage' roll! A good place to meet people as well it's become the hub of the village.
