I ordered several cakes for my daughters birthday several months ago for delivery last week. Nothing arrived and no reply to any emails. I am disgusted how this company feels it’s acceptable to take money off people knowing full well they will not honour. I wanted to make this birthday special for my girl as I’ve had cancer and my husband died of cancer so she’s had a tough time but disappointed that no cakes arrived! I am now a single parent struggling £90 may not appear a lot to this company but it is to me. How do you sleep at night treating good honest decent people this way it’s disgusting that you can get away with taking our money and not providing the cakes!! I am out of pocket, no cakes and a disappointed daughter who suffered enough...

Awful company and people, would like to see them shut down for their dishonesty and poor quality produce. Be warned - they will happily take the £10 delivery fee for pre 5pm delivery but often don’t meet this service and refuse to refund anyone for anything. They will leave products you’ve paid for out of the delivery (cake topper) and short change you what you’ve ordered (sent one box of brownies, not two). All in all they owe me £20+ for the above but refused to pay. Reported them to watchdog and trading standards and suggest anyone else does the same.

Hi! I was let down by this company since I placed an order, paid and the cake never arrived. The place is temporarily closed it says and I cannot even get a refund. This is a scam! We should all report.

Placed an order a week before my son’s birthday party - Lukshan Ravikumar was polite on the phone and took the order promptly and an accompanying invoice was sent with all the details. A payment of £102.99 was taken. I was promised delivery between the hours 8am-8pm but the cake failed to arrive. No one answered the phone, I tried many times throughout the day, there has been no response to my emails nor my WhatsApp messages. My 6 year old boy was left extremely upset after being promised a special birthday cake that he helped design. Do not use this retailer.

Paid £69.99 on the 3rd May for a cake to be delivered for the 5th may. All i saw on the 3rd may was 2.6K reviews of everyone recieving there cake happy or not. Only to be one of the victims who did not recieve their product this week. If you are suffering like me and have no way of getting a refund because these people will not pick up the phone, answer an email, respond to their facebook, respond to whatsapp or respond to a text. Under consumers rights act 2015. Contact your bank and say they have taken your money, they have not delivered the product and you want an investigation undertaken. I am absolutely appalled. This company has ruined several celebrations this week and not one person can tell us why or even update their website to state they cannot deliver. Disgusting.

Absolutely awful company! Mum ordered me a birthday cake from them and the picture online versus what was received was miles apart in terms of quality. The icing wasn’t smooth and was split so liquid was seemingly running out of it, writing was messy, their logo was shoved on top and the presentation board was greasy. Honestly, it looked awful! I couldn’t send my mum a picture of it as I knew how upset she’d have been. I tried to complain but they are not interested at all. They claim it’s meant to look like that as it’s a marble cake but we’ve had a marble cake from them before and it looked nothing like this! Avoid this company!! Places like cutter and squidge are miles better quality and service and only slightly more expensive. Awful experience.

Amazing service and lovely personalised cake delivered on the same day. Great variety and options on the site and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing to receive a box of 'red velvet brownies' for my birthday. Dense, tasteless and completely inedible. One bite & had to spit it out. It was like a box of Playdough. Have advised the person who bought them for me to get their money back. Avoid at all costs. Oh - and the ingredient list was full of E numbers - foul!

For our wedding we had specifically selected a mauve and white theme cake. It was matched with the rest of the theme for bridesmaid dresses, chair decoration to table decoration which was all in mauve colour. In our first meeting in company’s office, we made it very clear to the advisor Asteen what colour and theme we were looking for. I even showed him the colour I wanted, he made notes and sent us an invoice with description of exactly what we wanted. I have enclosed pics of bridesmaids dress, table decoration and chair decoration that clearly reflects the colour theme. Look at the pic of the cake delivered to us, it does not look anywhere close to the cake we had ordered. I called their customer services to complaint about the cake, the advisor refused to transfer the call to any manager and said the person who took order is not there and there is no manager available , only way to register your complaint is via email, we sent an email promptly, till date no response, no acknowledgement. How did the chef get the flavours of the cake so wrong? The flavours were blindly replaced with vanilla and victoria sponge. The whole experience has been very poor, the only thing that was totally out of décor and not even of the taste and color we wanted was the wedding Cake. We wasted few hours visiting the Cakes Today office in Wembley to select the right cake for our special occasion and it all seems to have been a total waste. The end Results was really disappointing. Something is not right with this company’s operational team. It was not a birthday cake or just any other occasion, it was a wedding cake, how can the team be so unprofessional and irresponsible. I was hugely disappointed to see the wrong cake turn up on my wedding day. They ruined my theme, sent me a wrong color cake with wrong flavours. We had put so much effort and time in getting everything right but this company seems to be all about money. They have not entertained our calls, they have not responded to our email complain as well. For a wedding cake, they didn’t get the colour right, flavours were wrong, design wrong, there was no Ombre effect, no flowers sent with the cake for decoration. Company employees did not even bother to call or send and apology email. Do not buy from this cake company, They are a SHAM.

Appalling service, rude customer service and refusing to accept liability. Do not buy from this bakery! I received delivery at around 4:20pm and upon taking the delivery, I noticed the cake box was torn and the box was open. I refused delivery but the driver said I have to take this up directly with the bakery. At 4:43pm, I emailed two videos to the bakery of the box and cake that I can’t accept this cake with risk of contamination as my son is disabled and has special dietary needs. I specially ordered a vegan, gluten free and nut free cake for his birthday on Monday with his class mates who are also Autistic and have special needs like him alongside dietary needs. There is no tape on the box to even secure it close (you can see this in the pictures). I cant upload videos but if you let me know, I can email you the videos I emailed them. According to the Food Standards Agency, a person should not consume or accept fresh, edible food that is already open or the box is damaged upon purchase or before consumption. In the world of Covid, how can I accept a fresh cake that’s been delivered like this. I cant risk any allergic reactions or illness to my son or his class mates! At 20:58, the bakery called me, offering me two options (both unreasonable and unacceptable). 1) They tried to assure me there is no contamination risk and the cake is safe to consume (how can they guarantee that when there are other cakes on the van and our cake was supposed to be nut free and the cake box is already open). 2) They can offer me a partial refund or replacement if I come to the bakery myself. Why should I drive so many miles and far away when the mode of delivery and order was online? Why should I accept a partial refund when I wont risk touching or eating this cake at all? I haven’t touched the cake. Not only has the product delivered is unsafe, unacceptable, now my son also doesn’t have cake for his party on Monday! Imagine our disappointment. I have informed the bakery that their service is unacceptable, their terms and condition don’t specify faulty cake delivery and that I want a refund which they have refused to give because they are saying I have to drive all the way and return it. Why do you offer delivery all over London when you expect customers to come back themselves to return? My hard earned £45 wasted on a bakery that really is never worth visiting!

WORST CAKE COMPANY EVER. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Cake was inedible and a disgrace to look at. We complained and didn’t hear back. It has taken 10 calls and four e-mails to get a response and the RUDEST and most UNHELPFUL man called back. Worst customer service ever. Please don’t order from this company. They do not deserve any custom. SHAMBOLIC.

Cakes Today delivered what looked like a cake, yet inside was the most disgusting and flavourless, artificial foam sponge. It was translucent white ! Reminiscent of builder's foam! The company hide behind their T&Cs and state that "taste" is subjective. This was an expensive cake. I post these pictures so that everyone can see the quality of their product. The artificial flavours are still lingering in my mouth as an insidious reminder of those two slices we endured. I have offered to return the remainder to their Wembley offices so that they can share in the delight of such "subjective" taste. This is as bad as bad gets. AVOID THIS COMPANY ! They ruined a very special occasion with this culinary travesty - and worse of all they do not care.

Awful company, ordered a cake for a specific time for pickup and they were late. Don't bother with this business, will just waste your time and ruin the day. Never coming back, will be leaving negative reviews across all platforms. I will be in touch for a refund. They were aware they were In the wrong they offered cupcakes for their error. I have ordered cake from india for my brother on his birthday but they neither delivered cake nor informed me that cake didn't delivered. Now charging 10 more pounds for delivery on next day worst service I have seen in my lifeTime. they spoiled his birthday. They are just cheating with there customers. Please don't order any thing from this bakery.

This was my third order from Cakes Today, both the first and second orders were delicious, hence my repeat custom. Sadly the cake that was delivered last week for my son's 10th birthday was not up to their previous standard. The cake looked good, but there was way to much cream, and the cake did not taste very good. Neither of my children liked the cake and so were very disappointed, not only because of the cake but also because we felt unable to distribute slices to their friends at school or to their Grandmother as planned due to it's poor quality.I will have to dispose of the whole cake, minus two slices, which is a great waste of the food and my £43.99.Their response to my complaint was to offer a 15% discount on our next purchase which they increased to 20%. I felt this did not redress the issue and so will not be using their services nor recommending them in the future.

Had the worst experience with this company. Ordered the party in a box package with a cake and matching decorations for my brother’s birthday party. When the decorations arrived half of them were black and silver - nothing like what was shown on the website and the other half were rainbow coloured. Completely mismatched an inappropriate for a young boy’s birthday party and not what was advertised. I had to buy proper decorations from elsewhere at the last minute. When I called to complain, they told me I shouldn’t have assumed that the decorations would be the same as the image on the website even though some of the decoration items were the same as the picture?? They also tried to justify it by saying that the description doesn’t specify they will be rainbow coloured?? Well the description didn’t specify half of them would be black either! After almost 20 minutes on the phone going back and forth they refused to send me the correct items or provide any further help. I was told I would get a call back and I never heard back from them. Very disappointed. Don’t buy from here. They advertise nice things but send you something completely different and then try to blame it on you for misunderstanding!

Have been avoiding leaving this review but I've been chasing my refund since January with the worst customer service I have EVER seen, so left with no option.Their software was broken at the time of ordering - it auto-added 2 brownies to my basket, I put it back down to 1, it kept going back up to 2.I started a chat + sent an email the minute the purchase was complete to explain but they said I already agreed to T&Cs (no refunds, no exceptions).After refusing their credit offer, I asked in writing that they send both boxes since i've been charged. Yet, they sent 1.I also paid £10 for a pre 4pm delivery, they arrived at 5.30pm.The recipient said the brownies that did arrive weren't nice at all (how can you get brownies wrong?!)Horrendously expensive (£70 for 2 boxes of brownies, x1 box of truffles + cake topper)They have not yet refunded me my £17.99. I've called dozens of times, sent a screen shot of me requesting both boxes several time now but no one replies, on the phone they say someone will call me back, they don't.I will keep trying. It's daylight robbery.Don't bother asking me to email experience@cakestoday as i've done that already.Do not ignore 130+ people leaving a 1* review and counting, it is not an accident.

Never ever again from this place. Mother’s Day cake was supposed to arrive on Mother’s Day!! The cake was supposed to arrive by 1 pm then 4.30 pm but after numerous calls they had the audacity to casually utter the cake won’t be delivered before 10pm! After complaining to them they seem to care less. Extremely unprofessional and callous attitude!

Where do I start with this unprofessional business?! I ordered a cake for valentines day 2 weeks beforehand for delivery on Valentines day by 8pm.At midday of the day of delivery I phoned them and asked what time the order is due but they cannot give me a delivery slot. At 8pm we still get nothing and I send an email only to be called back straight away to say they 'just found out' that my delivery was delayed and it will be with me by 10pm. At 10pm I still have nothing and of course no one is picking up the phone. At 11:15pm (!!) I get a call from the driver saying he still 30-45mins away! It seems like the company gave him too many deliveries and he said he still had lots more deliveries to go. I told the poor guy not to make the trip because it was too late for us anyway.I have tried to call 3 times to speak to someone with no luck and when I eventually get a call back the staff member is not allowed to issue refunds or cannot explain why this happened! Luckily I paid by PayPal so have raised a resolution through them now.In short, I wouldn't EVER use this company again and wouldn't recommend anyone else do so either.

Do not use this company!! They promised a delivery between 10:00 and 15:00 and when it didn't arrive they then said it would be here at 18:00. Rang again when it hadn't arrived by 18:15, and was told the driver was two stops away. Gave them a chance, still had not arrived by 18:45 (Google maps said that it would have taken 11 minutes from the location they gave to me) and that it would not now be arriving until after 20:00. After a long argument with the customer service person, who apparently is not authorised to process refunds, or aware of the correct process of consumer rights that the customer is entitled to a full refund. And should not have to "faff" about sending emails. So after spending an exasperating time on the phone and being exceptionally disappointed because, like other people here, this was for a birthday. Really surprised when they actually turned up at 21:00 (eleven hours after the originally promised time).And please do not patronise me with your standard response of "we would like to apologise for your negative experience with us"According to the delivery receipt, the delivery person had the same name as the owner of this poor company, but looks nothing like him (you can find out who it is by checking with companies house)And I have to say, if this is number 1 out of 3 in Wembley, the others must be absolutely bloody awful

We ordered a 50th birthday cake for 14/02/21 confirm delivery for 12pm.Called at 12:30pm delivery delayed till 2:30pm. Called at 3pm, delivery now at 5:30pm, called at 6pm delivery now 7:30pm....what the hell ate they playing at?Called again said delivery had taken place... our ring doorbell and cctv at home showed no one at door!It's now 10pm still cake less!AVOID THIS USELESS COMPANY.They should call themselves cakes whenever.....!Do Not Use This Company, please...

Horrible team, horrible cake, horrible experience.To put it shortly: my sister and her partner discovered the gender of their child because Cakes Today highlighted the gender of their baby on a receipt taped to the top cake box.I had told the Cakes Today team multiple times that the cake was going directly to the parents and that the gender shouldn't under any circumstance go on the box or the receipt. I was assured it wouldn't be.Needless to say we were all absolutely gutted.After I called to complain (three times before a manager came back to me), Cakes Today didn't apologise or assure me they'd looked into the matter to make sure it never happened to anyone again. Instead, they called the incident an 'inconvenience', accused us of being after a free cake and refused a full refund.When I went back to them saying that the thing we were most upset about was the lack of apology and if the money meant more to them than their customers then to go ahead and keep it - they never replied.To boot, by all accounts the cake was rank - artificial tasting and defrosted rather than freshly baked.Finally, If you're tempted by their same day delivery service, don't be - the cake arrived hours late.Just avoid.

i ordered cakepops for feb but changed my mind as person ordered for no longer wanted then i called 20 minutes later to be told NO refund would be given out and out crooks THIS IS THEFT I WANT MY MONEY BACK shame on this company

this is a terribly run and frauduelent company. Cake was paid for and they said it wasn't available and then did not get any updates regardring a refund. I will be reporting the company.

I wish I could give this place a minus rating because it was that bad. If you are even considering placing an order here please don't waste your time and money! You're better off trying to make your own cake at home, even if you have never baked in your life, you will be far happier!First of all they only delivered half of the order and to this day they have not delivered the rest nor refunded me. Secondly, the actual cakes + cupcakes were absolutely disgusting, I can't believe they are allowed to sell such poor quality products. Their customer service is non-existent, when I tried to speak to them about this, it was clear that they have been told to say the same thing over and over. You can imagine what hours of going around in circles feels like. You can forget about getting a refund because this place is a scam! Please avoid this place, it's not worth the hassle.

I ordered two cakes for the same day delivery for Christmas eve. The cakes have been delivered as agreed. Both cakes had a wonderful design and taste. Great customer and delivery services. I will recommend the cake company to my friends and colleagues.

My family ordered me a birthday cake from this company. Paid a ridiculous amount of money for the ugliest most disgusting cake I have ever eaten. It was so embarrassing in front of my friends and family to open this cake that was sent with a cheap plastic castle toy supposedly meant to be a cake topper. This was beyond disappointing my birthday was ruined as I didn't have a backup and this "cake" was just stale cream and jam... no cake...pathetic excuse for a cake...pathetic service...please save your money...even if u don't know how to bake you could bake your own cake a million times better than this garbage

We called them and they still pretend that they deliver it and rang the bell which is not true. At the end, cakes today agreed to refund us, but I couldn't get back anything from them again even I chase a few times. Don't order from this shop. Scam!

I should have read a review before getting my cake. Late on delivery with a bad customer service. Refused to give refund. Do not get u cake there you will be very disappointed. There delivered the cake after three days when his meant to be next day.

Ordered cake only the night before it was required and got a call back straight away, at that point they should have said, sorry we are too busy at short notice, instead they accepted the order for cake and balloon/card for a birthday - cake arrived at 9:30pm, it's just not acceptable, the day is over.Awful service, very disappointed - willing to update stars if the cake is actually nice after such a wait but on service alone at this point it's one star.

Terrible experience. Was expecting a delivery on my birthday from my mother who lives abroad. They assured her the delivery had been scheduled for the morning. The driver arrived around 6pm but rang the wrong buzzer number (although the number on the order was the correct one) and left without even calling. They then told me they would come back and deliver by 10pm but never did. Absolutely unacceptable and terrible (dis)service.

I ordered some cupcakes for a friend. The delivery guy called me because he couldnt get an answer from the delivery address but eventually managed to sort it out. I was v impressed. The cakes were delicious, light and creamy. V v happy.

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Please keep in mind I paid £70 for this order of a large cheesecake and a box of donuts at 8pm. They said the order was expected to be delivered at 9:15pm. By 9:30pm nothing had arrived and the restaurant had marked the order as delivered. I called them and they then told me the driver was in traffic and it will be delivered around 10:20pm, it is now 11pm and nothing has been delivered. The shop is now closed so there is no way to get in touch with them. Again; this order was £70. Worst service I’ve ever had with a take away shop, extremely overpriced food AND IT NEVER ARRIVED. Will update this review to say whether they give a refund or not, if they don’t this will be getting reported to the Better Business Bureau. So incredibly unhappy.I have attached photos of my conversation with the Just Eat customer service, as well as proof that this cake shop showed the order was delivered at 9.15pm - and another photo taken at 10:57pm showing that the order is STILL “being delivered at 10:20pm”.

The choice was great, the service ok (although the sales patter was rather pushy - I had a pop up chat asking me if I wanted any upgrades, and then had a phone call to try and persuade me to upgrade from an 8" cake "that would only provide 6 slides" (!!) to a larger one. I resisted and I'm glad I did), but the cake arrived on time. It looked amazing (we went for the flamingo cake) but it was quite the most revolting, tasteless, synthetic thing I have ever tasted. Even a bunch of sugar-hungry 10 year olds couldn't eat it (and instead chose to paint their faces with the icing!) Sorry but I cannot recommend this company or its cakes at all - a total waste of money.

This was my first order with Cakes Today. The speed of delivery is amazing and the cake was fantastic. All ages from 4-70+ loved it. I will certainly be a returning customer.

Just got a rainbow cake delivered today. Disgusting Tasting Cake. Not a rainbow cake just splashes of colouring in sponge, very little sponge and loaded with Whipped cream. Half of the cake is already binned the rest will be joining. Waste of £40.00. Do not buy please. Would have been better buying a cake in the store, cheaper and would have tasted better.

Amazing tAsty eggless cakes as always. I ordered Piñata cake for the 6th birthday of my son and it was amazing not only kids but all adults loved it as well. It was exactly same as advertised on website. Great service On time delivery as promised. Thank you cakes today will order it again n again.Eggless doughnuts were great too. Thank you.

Disappointed. I ordered few cupcakes for my friend's birthday. I only asked to not to attach the receipt as I didn't want my friend to know how much I paid. Under the same number of the house there are two flats. My friends received a parcel with a note "free gift" and left it not knowing what is it or for who it is. Flat below took the parcel, claims that they didn't. Well... The gift was free... For £20 free. I spoke with someone over the WhatsApp messages from this bakery and they claim they fulfilled their duty. No refund, no sending again the order. Well done... What can I say, please,guys, I believe the cupcakes are worth their price, but be careful what you're asking for. "Free gift"... ???

I went for the vegan blush swirl cake for my beautiful friends birthday; and I must say - wow ! I was so impressed with the quality, taste and service. The cake looked spectacular as a centre piece and tasted delicious. Thank you so much cakestoday for making the birthday extra special. Would definitely use again and recommend :)

Ordered for a delivery date of Sunday 26th July.Cake arrived on date required and tasted really nice.They window delivery time slot is quite long but they made a special effort for it to arrive at the time I asked for.Really satisfied with 'Cakes Today' and would recommend and I would order again myself.Didn't take any pictures but the special chocolate was special.

When you order from you it tends to be for party or simular. Ordered through deliveroo. Shows time of 16.20 pm i am still waiting 18.35 and now expected at 18.50pm this company is a joke never use them if you care about a birthday or simular unless you want them when its over. No real help just say they are very busy. also as normal #deliveroo just sit there and take the money saying they cant help it would question why we all order through a third party when they say call Cakes today. Both are not fit for purpose dont use there are many others.

We discussed what I was looking for and nothing was too much trouble. It was perfect. The most perfect wedding anniversary cake EVER! My mum and dad were thrilled and the cake was beautiful, stunning in every way. Delivery was incredible. The delivery guy was so careful and gave me some advice on how to carry and store it. I cannot shout loud enough praise. I’ve used before and was so impressed then, second time around, I have to say even better. My go to for all special occasions. Exceptionally happy with my purchase. I ordered a fantasy cake for my daughters 21st birthday. The ordering process was easy. Customer service excellent. Delivery was on time and the cake looked amazing and tasted superb! It really made it special on the day. Thankyou for such a great service.

These cakes were ordered as a surprise for us all the way from South Africa!! The cupcakes were delicious, looked great and the service was seamless! Confirmed delivery address, arrived when expected and even received a txt just before delivery so we knew to look out for them (which was especially helpful for us due to it being a surprise). Calling the company was also very good as they knew who I was/order/date of delivery etc as soon as they answered the phone. Thank you

Used cakes today to send cup cakes and other types of cake to a hospice in Romford for all the nurses.Was told it would be delivered by 1pm which is fine then 2pm still ok then 5pm then 6.30pm all nurses gone home finally delivered 7.45pm no use to any body.Will be old and stale by Monday as some had fresh fruit on them.Lied to all day so will not use ever again.

Amazing service - cakes came the same day just hours after I order them regardless of the pandemic. Spoke to a lovely lady who made sure the cakes got to me before I left out and I got a text when they were a stop away! I ordered the strawberry cream cupcakes and they are honestly the best cupcakes I’ve ever had! The piping was immaculate, the cream was delicious - so light and creamy and not too sweet. The strawberries were fresh and juicy and the cake was light, fluffy and had just the right amount of jam in them! Thank you so much! Cannot wait to order again! Xxxxx

I ordered this cake last minute on a Saturday. The customer service team were very helpful. On the day of arrvial I received a text that morning confirming cake would be coming that day. Twenty minutes before arrival another text saying I was next on the delivery route. Very friendly delivery driver. Cake was a lot bigger than expected. My son loved the cake. Will use them again.

First time buying a cake from this company and I must say the cake was delicious good value for money and the freshness lasted for 7days.....I would definitely use this cake company again and highly recommend them.

Do not waste your money. Ordered a cake for delivery, was repeatedly told it was running late but would be there by 8pm. It arrived after 2330, was left at my doorstep without the possibility to decline it. Delivering a cake at 2330 for a day's celebrations is inappropriate and unacceptable. Contacting the company resulted in them informing me they refused to refund the cost. There are plenty of other companies out there, go to one that respects its customers.

I’ve been their customer for more than 4 years and every tym the cakes are amazing, the taste, the softness, the smell and the design are amazing exactly like pictures. Excellent customer service, the advisors really do care about their customers especially their loyal customers. First time ordering . I ordered the selection box in vegan and non-vegan options. The cream was very light and the ratio of cake to cream was perfect. I can't fault any of the processes..from the ordering to the delivery, everything was perfect

Excellent cake, not overly sweet which meant little one could have some. Decorated as we wanted, were able to use image we requested with no issues. Only thing a little over priced. Delivered straight to your door, damage free. Have used them for several birthday cakes and would use again. Cakes are always light and fluffy, there egg free options also amazing.

Words are not enough to praise the service, quality and the result. I placed orders before but first time for a special birthday cake for my husband’s birthday from our son. The service was attentive asking every little detail about the cake we wanted to have. We discussed everything over whatsapp (no annoying calls to ruin the element of surprise if the receiver happens to be next to you) The cake was delivered promptly. The driver was excellent. The cake was carefully packed but in a see through packaging. My heart was beating faster when I saw how beautiful it was. We couldn’t wait to present it early this morning with tears in my eyes with all the touching details it meant to express. Cakes Today is the best!!

Where do I start! I ordered a cake to be delivered for my sisters birthday. Firstly they missed the y off the end of Birthday. So the wording on the cake was "Happy 50th Birthda". Secondly the "edible flowers" on the cake I paid for were cheap plastic. When I complained they said I could not have a refund as the wording was "complimentary"! When I pointed out that I had paid for edible flowers as described on the cake and got plastic I was offered 10% discount on my next purchase, no refund. I said I would take legal advice and was told they would consult with the manager. I thought I was speaking to the manager! Very poor customer service, especially once they have your money. Do not risk it, buy your cake elsewhere to avoid disappointment.

Cake was BEAUTIFULLY made but what ruined all of that for me was their ignorance and lack of understanding. Ordered a bouquet of helium balloons, they arrived approximately about 9pm and were standing strong...The next morning they were COMPLETELY FLAT and on the floor. Helium balloons last a minimum of 20 hours before they deflate. So I kindly ask if they can re-send out another bouquet of balloons and they said NO!! It’s my fault they deflated •___• I WOULD NOT ORDER ANYTHING ELSE FROM HERE APART FROM CAKES, THEY LACK QUALITY!!!!!!!

I contacted this company this morning to ask if I could collect my birthday cake this afternoon and the lady reassured that my cake would be delivered by 5:30pm the latest today. I have now been told it will not be delivered until 8pm. I had planned a birthday party to start at 6pm. This is very disappointing.

Do not order from this company. I ordered cupcakes to be delivered to someone and although they said delivered they were not, I have had to raise a credit card dispute as they refuse to communicate Will never use again

Customer Service: I ordered the cake for my husband's birthday, 8 days in advance. On the day, I called them to ask when the cake will be delivered and they informed me between 8-9 pm. I told them that's too late for us. They couldn't help me. Later I saw that on the invoice they are committing to deliver the cake between 11 am-8 pm. I called them back and told them if they don't deliver the cake till 8 pm, to not deliver at all, and to refund us because they are breaching the agreement. However, this was not respected and the cake was delivered at 9 pm. Quality of the cake: I ordered "Not a Cheesecake Strawberry Cheesecake". The description on their website "This cake is not entirely a cheesecake but possesses the beautiful flavours and creaminess of one." Paid £49.99 for 8 inches. What we got was two layers of sponge with whipped cream in between and a thin layer of jam. Like a £10 cake from any store.

Do not recommend to place an order, they fail to deliver on time & when you call to chase up your delivery they do not help!

I wasn't expecting Cake for this Birthday due to Covid, especially as I'm Lactose Intolerant, but my family were able to pick up a Vegan Cake, specially decorated for me without me knowing. It was amazing, made my day, loved the edible flowers, such a treat.

Haven’t ordered from Cakes Today before but after my first experience they are definitely on my list of top cake companies. The cake is exactly as described and pictured on their website. It’s a beautiful fantasy cake. I couldn’t be happier and the recipient was so happy with it! Friendly company and arrived in a super cool Cakes Today van all lit up in pink! Fabulous ! We ordered your cake for a retirement party at rather short notice, for delivery in a central London location. The service was good ordering straight forward, and the cake arrived well in time for celebrations. The only improvement I would recommend is some form of automatic tracking to a mobile (which I am sure you come in time). The cake was delicious everyone loved it. Thank you.

Good customer service. Free delivery window is between 11am-8pm, but it’s £29.99 for 2 hours slot, or 9.99 for 3 hours slot. The cake is not cheap but it is beautiful and tasty.

I don't know which superlatives to use to best describe our experience with Cakes Today and the amazing cake they created for my girlfriend's birthday. Honestly, it was a fantastic sight to behold when it arrived. We never envisaged it looking anything like as good as it did. I looked exactly like an LV handbag. We took it to the restaurant with us where the restaurant staff were agog when seeing it. When it was brought out of the kitchen at the end of our dinner, all the diners were transfixed by it. We really trembled when cutting into this vision. The restaurant maitre d' performed the honours. The cake was moist, flavoursome and utterly delicious. A triumph! My girlfriend has not stopped talking about the experience which made her birthday celebrations! Thank you Cakes Today.

I won 6 delicious cupcakes through a competition they had going on their Instagram page. After being messaged to say I’d won, I was asked for my address and phone number. I was then called by a very friendly member of their staff to arrange delivery etc. They were delivered the following day. The cupcakes looked very nice and were decorated lovely. The sponge itself was light, fluffy and moist. The strawberry icing was full of flavor and generously portioned. Overall very happy and will be recommending them to friends and family.

We realised at the last minute that an expected cake for my daughter's 22nd birthday was not materialising. I phoned Cakes Today at about noon and by 4pm they had delivered a huge mango and passionfruit concoction that was big enough to serve everyone with a personalised greeting on the top. It was also totally dairy-free as she is allergic. Tasted delicious. Can't recommend these people enough.

I was lucky enough to win one of these cakes in the Christmas competion. The company telephoned me to check if I had any special dietary requirements or any food allergies. The cake was a vanilla sponge topped in frosting and fresh fruit. Even after 4 days it still tasted as fresh as the day it was delivered. The sponge was very light and the fruit selection included kiwi fruit,strawberries,pineapple and peach. Highly reccommend this company for their customer care and the quality of the food.

Excellent service had vegan cake , much nicer than one had last year from a different company. Only criticism is an awful lot of cream, but that’s just my personal taste. Looked exactly as pictured. Would definitely use this company again

Ordered eggless cupcakes at around 11am, picked up from 'only eggless' on the Kenton road at 3:30. Beautiful cakes. Fair price (£23 for 8) Very pretty. I ordered 8 and was told they all had to be the same colour. Would have preferred a selection of colours. But a great, efficient, polite service. Highly reccomend!

We have used them a few times already. They also delivery on a very timely manner. On 2 of the occasions we had different design cakes from the ones on the website and they actually exceeded our expectations.

After accepting my order and giving a delivery time of 1 hour,they changed this to 5 hours later without our agreement. This was an unacceptable time frame for us so we wanted to cancel the order/get refund . However we were informed on calling them that we as the customer had to call Deliveroo,they would not cancel the order despite agreeing they couldn’t fulfill the order. Staff were very rude when we called,and actually lied to us. Don’t take the chance with this company,go elsewhere.

This place does the best cakes ever , have been buying from them for about 4 years and had no complaints at all ,the most recent purchase was a black Forrest birthday cake for my mum and the taste was amazing would highly recommend you get your cakes from here too
