Absolutely banging spot! Excellent menu choice, great service and amazing food. Coffee was super and fry-up was delicious. Definitely worth a visit

Lovely place to come for food and the atmosphere was nice, friendly welcome as well. Reason for just 4 stars was that the coffee was too hot therefore it was a bit burnt but hopefully this was just a one off as coffee I've had in the past has been lovely

Almost reluctant to give a great review in case more people go! This place is so good. Its fairly small, so you may not always get a seat right away at busy times - but it's worth the wait. Whats so special? Well, when there are so many places serving beige food and expecting you to be grateful for it, this place has excellent service with a smile and real quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Well done Cairn, if I had 10 stars, I'd give them all.

Food is always great here. So is the service. The best part is that they are inexpensive so I can treat myself every week.

Got daily special. Didn't like it loads of some sort of beans in the wrap with lots of eggs or something.. yuk.

We use this cafe everything we visit Kilmacolm. It has a warm welcoming environment with friendly attentive staff. It may be small but has a big ♥.

My friends and I made a stop off at Cairn today when on our cycling trip. We had lovely rolls and bacon and sausage.. Fantastic coffee and cake.First class service also . Excellent prices..Great place.

2nd visit here for breakfast. Salmon and bagel was good and tried the special arbroath smokies with scrambled egg and spinach on sour dough toast. Was excellent and a good sized portion. Seems to be a regular spot for cyclists to drop into as well as locals. Will definitely be going back.

Great wee place and as cute as an actual cairn terrier.( The toilets are reminiscent of a fancy 'Wally Close' in Glasgow - you should visit them whether you need or not!). The staff are fun and the food a big step up from mainstream. Over the course, I've sampled most of the menu...and that includes, of course, my first love - big chunks of cake. And they have a really nice range of really nice cakes here. Go try it.

Stayed for a week in Scotland for a holiday as we're from England, we didn't know the area but took a chance on this place for brunch and WOW.... The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. All lovely quality items and they serve the best coffee 🤤 price was more than reasonable for what they serve. The service and staff was 10/10 too. Very clean and modern inside, they also cater for babies / toddlers too. We loved it so much we decided to visit again the day we was leaving to go back home, we also ordered some lemon and pistachio cake, a sausage roll and 2 donuts to take for the road trip back to England.. all home made and again, absolutely gorgeous! If we ever come back to visit the same area of Scotland we will be sure to come back for another lovely brunch! Thankyou Cairn! 🤗

Lovely staff and excellent food. Excellent menu too suit all and we opted for the vegan option, haggis roll, absolutely delicious and the staff happily made us iced coffees on request. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Cairn have really gone out of their way to offer an excellent restaurant standard takeaway option. The food is always fresh and delicious, coffee and cakes are superb and the staff are fantastic. Easy to phone ahead and collect and their Instagram gives you all the up to date information on menus and opening times.

Only had Coffee ! which I really enjoyed looking forward to going back.

Stopped here for a coffee after cycling from Paisley with cycling partner. Nearly tempted by the delicious looking cakes but waistline said no 😏 we settled for two really nice lattes - really smooth with no bitterness. Looking forward to more visit in the future.

Just the best wee place in the world. Outstanding coffee, phenomenal food and yes its small but totally worth the wait for a seat.

Fantastic sandwiches and wonderful cakes, what's not to like?! The Covid-19 measures are really well done too, with minimal impact on enjoyment, butt feeling really well thought through and safe.

Delicious food and consistently good, all at great value for money - what more can you ask for.Great for hot filled rolls, drinks, and a small breakfast, together with tasty home baked cakes and scones.Only downside is that this is now the "go to" place for the cyclists on a Saturday morning so can get very busy with 30 or so cyclists queuing at the door. They appear to have now abandoned the other place 50 yards along which has gone badly downhill of late.

My wife and I stumbled across the Cairn on an incredibly wet afternoon while driving around the local area. They were just about to close but when they saw us they were happy to provide coffee and refreshments and access so much needed toilets! Staff were incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic and very good value for money Fully recommend this place!

We have breakfast here often, which is always delicious but the coffee is the best I've ever tasted. Love a little cup of Cairn coffee to set me off on my day.

On our staycation we stumbled across this absolute gem of a restaurant for breakfast. Having visited various cafes on our away days this one topped the lot. My wife had the vegetarian breakfast and I had the full breakfast while our kids enjoyed scrambled egg on fantastic sourdough bread and a mini breakfast. Absolutely excellent food and would visit again in a heartbeat. Also participating in the Government’s eat out to help out scheme meant the price was ridiculously low. Would have been great value either way.

Have eaten at Cairn on many occasions, the last one being a birthday celebration. We all had different starters and mains– everyone gave their selection a definite thumbs up. This was before Sars-Covid-2 arrived unwanted. I understand sit down meals are being replaced by a takeaway menu that we've also sampled. Delicious and nothing processed about it.My wife gets a double shot, oaty latté at week-ends now the service has returned after lockdown.Looking forward to fresh fish and chips returning! *hint*

Cairn is a REALLY good cafe! We’ve eaten in a hot breakfast and carried out coffees and treats to go! They have great muffins and cakes, good coffee, lovely, imaginative hot breakfasts and friendly service. We go regularly and would always recommend!!!

Great food. My go-to takeout place when I'm feeling like Indian food. Just call in or order online and it's always ready on time. Street Parking is horrible (with they did a curbside dropoff), but you can just go about a block or two away in a larger lot.

Great take away coffee and artisan bread a real boost during the covid lockdown after a walk or cycle. Staff are fantastic...definitely worth a stop off!

My wife and I were making the most of a lovely afternoon out and, having determined that they did gluten free, decided to try "Cairn"for a "lateish" lunch. Even at 3pm they were nearly full, but a table for two became available just as we came in; there is accommodation for about 20. We were well looked after, including being given a glass of water each on sitting down. Adele has a number of serious allergies; our Waitress went through the choices carefully with her, and she finished up with a lovely salad. We were both please with our meals; coffees were lovely too. Some cake was taken away - looking forward to that later! We have our loyalty card, so hope to be back; a very enjoyable experience!

Lunchtime visit. Very busy and VERY noisy! TV on, nobody watching, Muzak playing, nobody listening but having to shout at each other over the noise of both TV and Muzak, not forgetting the noisy coffee machine. Service good but fish over-battered and overcooked. Seating not very comfortable.

Consistently great quality food. The bread is the best I've tasted. If you haven't been, try it!

We visited Cairn for brunch. The ‘wee breakfast’ and the breakfast roll were fantastic, the best black pudding and Lorne sausage I’ve tasted in a long time.All the meals, teas and coffees were piping hot. The home baking looked amazing. I looked at the evening menu and it although small had something to suit everyone.We shall be back !

We normally visit Cairn for brunch and lunches, which are always exceptional however tonight we managed to get there for dinner. Atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The food was delicious, we had the crab and twa tacos followed by hake main course. We asked David to advise wines to go with our food, and we weren’t disappointed, superb choices. Best fish main course we’ve had this year, and we love our fish! Highly recommended, can’t wait to go back for dinner.

This is a popular cafe, but it’s pretty small and the endless wood, metal and ceramic makes it noisy; while the lack of colour makes it feel cold on a grey autumn day. However, the small menu is well executed and we enjoyed our brunch.

Warm and friendly service, with a lovely buzz, smart and knowledgeable staff and stylish decor. Well considered menu to suit everyone and good value for money. Believe all dishes are made to order, even when the place is full, no real concerns about time between order and arrival at table. Believe me, every bite worth the wait. We had CLUB sandwich and avocado BLT, home made coleslaw with both, just super fresh, filling and very tasty. Big fan of the Freedom Bakery bread and a thumbs up for all the temping pastries and cakes, crowd pleasing favorites and the most picture perfect scones. The interior of the cafe is homely, very modern, stylish and bright. Lovely staff, who were great help with the decision making, on the many tasty sounding food choices. The presentation of the food is amazing and the flavours even better!

Lovely and small coffee shop with huge personality. Visited today and was joined by my friend. Staff very friendly, nothing being a bother. Will be my new regular post school run. Thanks to team Cairn
