Visited after meeting the owner down at the pub in Beddgelert. Super friendly guy. Told tall tails of the amazing burgers they make at his cafe up the road… Well we couldn’t just take his word for it! walked the dog a few miles up round Nant Gwynant to go take a look and the guy ain’t kidding! Seriously good burger. A little pricey but the portions are massive and everything is home made. Just what you need after a long walk in the sideways rain. The owner and his family are incredibly welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for us and enjoyed the friendly chat while I polished off that massive burger and a couple of tasty local beers. My partner really enjoyed the local gin and he was even nice enough to show us the bottle and share how we can pick some up ourselves (yr Wyddfa, Purple Moose) Look forward to returning in summer on my bike! 10/10

We wanted to try somewhere new - and we weren’t disappointed. This is a cafe that’s perfect for pre walk fuel or post adventure reward! The chapel has retained lots of original features (including the pulpit!). The family team greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. The food was exceptional (we had burgers and the kids had chicken) and very well priced. Make sure you ask for the homemade ketchup!! We offered a prayer of thanks as we left the sanctuary to tackle the Watkin path that begins close by. Dog owners: though dogs aren’t allowed inside the chapel, there are seating pods available to use in the covered veranda.

Great food, just be wary of the "substitutions" on the breakfast menu, they don't substitute, they take off what you don't want, and charge you for the replacement. They also don't tell you you'll be charged when ordering, until you pay up at the end.

First time coming here in a while i.e since change in ownership, and it did not disappoint. Food was fantastic, portions were fab and the service (particularly from the young man whose name I forget - ironic as it was very memorable) was wonderful! We've been here many a time before and the food and service has remained fantastic since change in ownership. On a miserable, rainy day in Nant Gwynant the food and service was a wonderful tonic.i had the venison burger with charred peaches, the peaches were not what I expected and we're PERFECT accompaniment! We had a warm welcome in the Caffi today and a delicious lunch. The pork croquettes and vegan duck were lovely, the falafel wrap could have done with a salsa or chutney instead of the hummus, little bit of a chickpea overload, but having said that, the hummus was one of the nicest we've had so we still enjoyed it. We went for vegan options and were not disappointed. I had lovely spring rolls with coleslaw and salad, and my husband had a 'cheese' toasty with soup. The chef told us about the options not listed on the menu, and said they would be able to modify most things if needed. We ate everything too quickly to be able to leave photos! Also a nice setting in an old chapel in Snowdonia. We're staying nearby in a little cottage and are looking forward to coming back to try the other options during our stay.

This used to be a welcoming cafe and we called in regularly. However disappointed to be told they were closed and could not serve us a coffee, even to take away even though they were still giving diners their food. This, was 3.50pm on a Thursday. Needless to say we will not be returning. Drove to Beddgellert and had a very warm welcome in the Prince Llewellyn who were only too pleased to serve us even though they were very busy with diners. The staff at Caffi Gwynant would benefit from a lesson in their customer care. Give this cafe a miss!

Been here lots of times in the past while out walking. Different owners and different standard of care. We called in today after a long walk and looking forward to our usual coffee. Although still serving people food at their tables, when I asked if we could just have 2 coffees the answer was a resounding NO we are closed. It was 3.50pm. We would have been happy with a take out coffee but again the answer was no. Obviously the people who were still eating would have been there longer than 10 minutes and I understand they didn't want to take food orders but would it really have been that much trouble to make 2 coffees. In g Future we will give our custom to the Prince Llewellyn in Beddgellert who even when really busy greet their customers with a warm welcome and great service. Caffi Gwynant only opens 4 days a week and you would think they would be glad of the custom. Obviously not!

BEWARE OF YOUNG BOY - SCAMMING TOURISTS & STEALING YOUR MONEY Me and my 9 year old son visited the takeaway hut for some drinks and food to take with us on our walk. After I paid, the young lad was pressuring me to buy something else.. in particular a boost Chocolate bar. I kept saying no and in the end he asked my son if he wanted Skittles so I just said okay and got them for him as this boy was not giving up with begging me to buy another item in a separate transaction. He said that would be £1 but didn’t show me the card machine so I stupidly trusted him and tapped my phone. Due to not having any signal/internet it wasn’t until the next morning that I saw £10 had been taken out of my account. I truly believe this has been done on purpose as I overheard him trying to sell the same boost chocolate bar to the couple in front. I have called and been promised a call back from the manager but they are now blanking me so I have had to report them and take it up with my bank. Not trustworthy and I have been scammed and stolen from, the boy has just got himself a tenner pocket money and is probably doing this to many tourists visiting so beware!

Upon arrival the building looks incredible with prime location to catch hungry ramblers, on entry of the building the feeling changes to somewhat of a gloomy one, i had high hopes as my friend had recommended our lunch to be there on our trip to snowdonia. Both of my friends food was both good looking and tasty and they both enjoyed very much, mine on the other hand while it looked nice it hid a little suprise for me, although it tasted funny ive never been a massive fan of bechamel sauce so i just put it down to that. Later on that evening after an afternoon of stomach cramps, discomfort and pain the food poisoning set in, i was sick on and off from 430pm until 630am, unable to sleep, profusely sweating and having to breathe to controll stomach pain. Over 24hrs later and im still unable to eat and in somewhat discomfort. An unfortunate end to our somewhat comical trip to wales. Will be avoiding on our next trip to conquer Snowdonia!
