Really lovely place, very quaint! The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fabulous breakfast! The Rosso breakfast was top notch! Big thick slabs of bacon and delicious sausages. The granary roast was lovely too. Delicious thick slices of granary toast too!

Such a lovely little cafe not too far away from the town centre, I did go towards closing time so I didn't spend too long there, however the staff are such lovely people, would highly recommend to anyone

Friendly and attentive staff make you feel very welcome with superb food and coffee's. The cakes are to die for.

This cafe is a hidden gem with a charming and peaceful outbuilding behind it, where you can enjoy a warm fireplace and a scrumptious cheese cake. The place is festive and cozy, adorned with lovely Christmas decorations. I highly recommend it!

Unbelievably wonderful afternoon tea. When we pictured our English experience, this was it. Impeccable service. The food was delicious. It was overall a beautiful experience.

Delightful little bijou place to eat lunch, lovely homemade soup and sandwich, very reasonable, will definitely be frequenting. Returned today with my partner, not disappointed, the brocoli and cheddar soup was delicious , highly recommended.

Delicious lunch with my dear friend. We each had a bowl of homemade tomato soup and shared the ploughman's lunch. We were so full! Delicious high quality food with excellent friendly service. Thank you will be back!!

Went here for lunch the other day and was seated in the lodge as cafe was full. Didn't mind as I didn't have a booking. Rang the bell,ordered a fruit tea with came quickly so I then ordered food. Thirty minutes later I was still sat there waiting for a soup and half sandwich. When I gave up and went into the cafe to see where my order was I then had to listen to the waitress bicker with the kitchen about where my order ticket was. The chef said it was never given to her! It was located on a worktop somewhere so god knows how much longer I'd have been there! Was offered the chance of a takeaway but this wasn't ideal as I was on foot with a walking stick. Paid £3 for my tea and left hungry!

Brilliant service and excellent cocktails.

Had a lovely Father’s Day afternoon with my partner and his daughter. We enjoyed the lovely extra large toasted sandwiches with a vast array of fillings. It was well presented with a beautiful dressed salad, home made coleslaw and crisps. The 3 of us indulged in the chocolate and salted caramel cheesecake, which is worth a visit for just this treat! 10/10 for this lovely find!!

I had a beautiful mini afternoon tea with a pot of earl grey tea, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Food served with attention to detail and point of difference to other cafés in the town. Well worth a visit.

We both had a sandwich and salad. But my partner doesn't like dressing and it was alovwr his salad which h had to leave . The sandwiches was lovely but a bit on the expensive side. Think we l stick to our coffee and. Cake next time

Been to Caffe Rosso many times so today went with 3 friends ,3 of us ordered the soup with half a sandwich, lacked colour needed some garnish on the plate ,it looked beige with just crisps on the side, soup was very tasty, but not sure if it was worth the cost . Staff pleasant & helpful

Great little coffee shop/cafe they do the best lattè in town.. fantastic breakfast (especially the sausages). Homemade cakes are amazing too, there's always a wide selection to choose from (had to get the Manchester Tart) 🤤 polite/friendly service everytime we go!

Took mum out for lunch 2nd December 2022. It was her first time here. We had the soup and sandwich combination. The Potato and Leek homemade soup had excellent flavour and texture. Beautifully presented by very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Mum has a walking aid, as we started to enter a lovely young lady came over and held the door. This was a lovely welcome. She talked so kindly to mum who is nearly ninety. This impressed me. Even though they were busy, they did this as we entered and left the premises. It made mum feel very special. The sandwiches were delicious, followed by award winning Manchester tart. It did not disappoint on any level. Great experience. Will definitely return very soon. So sorry did put 5 stars as I really didn’t think that anything could have been any better. However I clearly didn’t do it correctly … worth every star. Sorry to scare you with my error I am new to writing reviews 🫢👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent service with a smile and friendly chat! All of the staff there were so pleasent! Food was absolutely delicious, nicest tostie I've ever had no word of a lie! My 2 year old daughter had a cheese toastie and loved it. They did a babyccino for her too. Had one of their cakes to go. It was lovely and light, and so tasty. I will definitely be coming back here!!

We had a baby shower there on sunday. The staff were very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. They made our visit feel special and nothing was to much trouble. The place has a very charming atmosphere. The food is beautiful and fresh. I would highly recommend them for a little event or a just a treat, as you will be looked after there. 😊 Not a big place but the space works very well and is very pretty.

Lovely cafe that’s a bit bigger and more modern than it looks from the outside. It’s still very homely though. They are licensed and have a decent white wine and a nice Rioja on the menu. Deluxe afternoon tea for two included a soup and an Eton mess. Everything was very fresh, and tasty, all made with good quality ingredients. It was so filling that we took boxes to take what was left away! Will visit again for sure.

On them days when the sun is out and you think about enjoying a delicious icecream, then I would definitely recommend this place.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff! We were able to have a full afternoon tea, despite a dosclaimer on the menu that it needs to be ordered a day in advance. The location is really cozy and the food was excellent - thanks a lot!

We were able to get the afternoon tea without preordering a day in advance (probably due to the Café not being busy). The staff was also really friendly. The selection of sandwiches and cake was great and the scone, clotted cream and jam delicious.

Lovely ambience and the food was great! Excellent service.

Took our friend for his birthday meal and it was absolutely perfect. We were a table of 6 and everyone loved their meals. The service was first class too and I honestly can’t comment on anything negative at all. Will be going back very soon ❤️

Popped in for afternoon teas on the way to Wigan Pier. It was a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, the service and food were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Small cosy café located just off the central Wigan. They serve the best mocha coffee I ever drunk. Highly recommended.

Food was brilliant but the service even better!! Caffè Rosso is the benchmark for service of anywhere I have ever been including the best that Manchester has to offer, 5 Stars, well done!!

Lovely decor inside provides a cozy environment but it was quite cold. Tasty Flat White and cappuccino. The cake looked fanatic too. Definitely worth a visit. The only downside was the small hot Chocolate for infant was quite expensive at 3.45 without marshmallows, chocolate etc like some places provide. It would be great if they had child friendly option like Costa's Babycino, so it could be more regularly visited. Ample free street parking on Sundays, chargeable on other days. Lovely and friendly cafe, food is amazing and can not complain about the portion sizes. Everything used is locally sourced where possible which is wonderful. Coffee is made using beans from Mancoco which makes a lovely cup.

Absolutely love this place. We have been coming here since 2017 & they even baked our wedding cake in 2019. Absolutely exceptional!

Such a homely cafe with cute decor and full of personality. Perfect place for my first visit to Wigan. Staff were nice and always busy. Food was so nice and the portions were great. The coleslaw was so good too.

The staff are friendly and efficient and make you feel very welcome. We have enjoyed wonderful home made cakes, tasty breakfast, sandwiches and salads during the day and delicious sharing platters on weekend evenings. Highly recommended

Cannot praise this place enough.We had the late night wine and cheese platter deal.Wow just unbelievable how nice it was and the potion size.The staff are the friendliest people and really look after you.Would highly recommend it and can't wait to come back.

I went to try the 'best coffee in town' and I was disappointed. The coffee tastes average or below. You will get better tasting coffee at Starbucks! The cafe is nice and homely, quite small so if that's your thing you will love it.

Came for a quick bite, didn't expect much from the area but the food was beautiful, dressing for the chicken and bacon salad was stunning. Coffee was soo good too! I'm a bit of a coffee nut and just made Starbucks look terrible. Clean and tidy and friendly service. So glad I didn't stop at the chip shop.
