Caffe Latte in Barking and Dagenham

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The place is filthy and the outside is packed with loiters and smokers. The cakes/ pastries are stale due to very low food sales. It’s also freezing inside. Don’t waste your money - owners of this establishment need to rebrand this place and think about creating a family-friendly atmosphere. This place is ZERO STARS but the option is not there.

Lovely staff. It was very quiet when I went there but nice and clean. I gave no stars for food as I didn't eat but was tempted by the orange chocolate cake which looked delicious.

Average food, drinks...staff was a bit rude, they didn't complete my order and didn't let me know, I thought it was done so as I was taking it out, they yelled at me saying they didn't complete the order. Didn't say sorry, just laughed?

Small shop just by the most visited attractions of London, therefore it can get really busy, however, since I couldn't see any seats there at the time of my weekend early morning visit, I suppose that it's working only on takeaway basis. Regardless, both the coffee and food are delicious and good value for money. I can recommend.

Awful service! The waitress, a black girl served very badly and even shouted that we would not come again just because we asked for coffee to be taken out on a tray to the street at a table.Very bad experience not recommended for any one.

The coffee and staff are excellent. The decor is a bit in need of updating, but it's not a big thing. It is the best coffee shop in Barking. They could do better with the music too, but they are all forgiven as soon as you take a sip of your coffee...

It's a nice place I went there once and had a cappuccino and it was really nice. It's a small cafe but it's clean, enjoyable to sit in to pass your time while having your favourite drink.

I ordered pancake with cream for my kids on uber eat. But i received ice cream instead of cream....

I used to work there for few months, really poor, pleas AVOID avoid avoid!!! The hygiene is really bad, there is a mouses every where in the kitchen and the back storage. The owners are really greedy guys, you don't have right of holiday pay, nothing is clear there, I used to work around 30 hours per week , when I asked for contract and about the hours, they want me to sign contract with 20 hours, later they told me that my contract is 0 hours.... she didn't want to pay all the salary in to the bank account, to avoid taxes. I left the place in April but until now I have problems with my documents and my work hours with SLC. She took money from the country to pay the staff, but in the same time she kept the staff working for her. These guys there are for prison. No words to say how disgusted I am from these Bangladesh people....

Really bad experience, coffee was burn, the sweet looks like fake and expired (I haven't eaten them) and the atmosphere and the service made me feel unwelcome.

Been there today. Baristas start closing with an hour and half before,mop the floor and leave behind a strong smell of bleach. While bringing the chairs from outside they smashed them and make so much noise without carrying about the customer that we're inside. This place used to be really good few months ago and had a good atmosphere. In my experience closing duties shouldn't be done like this and they should have more customers service experience..

This is a terrible fake business, it doubles as Tokyo shushi, which takes people’s money via just eat and then marks orders as delivered when they simply don’t deliver. Maslinia Saddique is the registered owner, when I confronted her today she denied she owned the business, many many people have had the same experience with this company. Avoid avoid avoid

This place used to be ok but now the service is miserable and the food is awful and overpriced. There is a sign on the window saying that customers cannot bring their own food in to eat - but I can see why they would want to!! Disgusting.

I've given this 4 stars because it's vibrant and bistro like and the latte was delicious. HOWEVER ! my tuna mayo sandwich was awful. Really soggy and at £2.90 unacceptable bad. Avoid the food and enjoy the ambiance and great coffee

Awful substandard place, I would like to know who leaves these apparently positive reviews because it sure as hell isn't the experience of the majority. I had the unfortunate luck of being served a disgusting cold 'english' breakfast. Bacon was totally limp and undercooked, and the attitude of the staff cold and unfriendly. What a joke. If you are going to serve traditional English food then bloody learn how to do it!! The staff are eastern European as far as I can see and haven't got a clue. Shocking service and utterly below average food. Needs vast improvement and customer service training, not to mention the minimum basics of how to cook breakfast.

The food was awful! I did not get what I asked for. I got two pieces of bread with jam instead of a hot croissant with jam and butter. I got milk that was suppose to be ice cream. The food took a hour and 45 minutes when I was two minute walk away from the shop. I spoke to a lady who works at the shop, who had a stinking attitude and purposely sent out cold and melted food knowingly it was substandard. Her petty excuse for not remaking the food was that she already made the food and it was the delivery guys fault for taking too long to pick up. Why would they knowingly send out such bad food? Please do not order from here! I’ve never had such bad food and service before.

This plane is ok, but I find it to be quite slow on take service, the front outside section is always very dirty, the ash trays never enjoy or clean and sometimes the coffee despite being made to order is sometimes cold.

Five coffee shops in Barking and their coffee and cakes are expensive starting £3 and £4 each, more expensive than costa and no free wifi.

Quality of food used to be better for the price you are paying. Customer service is also something that could be improved.

Had a late morning meeting here and decided to have breakfast. I didn't want mushrooms nor tomatoes as I don't eat these but they said the price would be the same. No problem with that. When it came there was no hash brown. They had run out, but again no discount nor replacement item. Asked for butter and had to wait a good while for it to materialise. The toast, which didn't even amount to one slice of bread was cold. Asked for runny eggs but got two eggs where the yolk had burst and was firm. For almost £8 this was a very poor effort and staff just didn't seem bothered.

I must say I was passing by so many times and never had a wish to come inside. Because of so many smoking men outside. I had a weird feeling to go through it with the buggy and a child in it. But I was quite surprised when first came in. It is cozy place that offer quite a lot of cakes and desserts. Coffee tastes good. Unfortunately I can't say that my pancakes were super yummy but pretty much ok. Girls working on till and barista were really friendly and smiling.

Really liked the breakfast, especially that it had a halal option. Food came quick. Place is quite clean and spacious and the people working there, waitresses all very very friendly with big smiles on their face. Next time I’m in barking, this is where I’m having breakfast! Shazreen :)

This used to be a regular spot for me in the mornings. It’s possibly the only place close enough to the high street that offers a good quality coffee. The prices are not too steep and the environment can also be a pleasant one if you want to get some work done, or if you just want to have a friendly meet up. Overall the quality of food is great, and the service you get from the staff is also nothing short of amazing! Well worth a visit!

Nice place for you to have a meal at any time of the day. Good environment for your family meals. The staffs are friendly, nice varieties of options available to choose from. Likewise there is this homely feelings to the place. The place is also at the centre of the Town. About 3-5mins walk to Barking Station (District line, C2C, Hammersmith and City and London Overground), close to various bus routes 62, EL1, EL2, 368, 5, 287 etc

I've been dropping in to this cafe every day over the past week or so. The coffee is great, prices reasonable and staff are welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

What a nice place for a coffee and cake. We needed a little sugar and caffeine boost after shopping and this place fit the bill. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Coffee and cake was really good.

I am not usually bothered about where I drink tea as it often tastes the same wherever you go. However, my Dad likes proper coffee so we went here. I was surprised that the tea arrived in a cafetiere! I thought there was a mistake. But when I pumped the tea and poured it, the taste was amazing, fresh milk and a China cup also made a great cup of tea even better. The cafe also had a lovely European feel to it. I will defiantly be back!

Visited with a friend for a coffee. We were told their loyalty card scheme is on hold. Coffee was okay, I personally think prices need to be reviewed as over priced. Could do with a bit of organising around order and collect area, as customers could easily be confused.

I popped in and grabbed a coffee this morning and the service was quick and polite. Which was great. Personally I would have liked a deeper tasting coffee but that is my choice. Yes I will come again, probably a different coffee selection but that's fine as the price is very reasonable.

Delivery for 16£ worth of drinks and one carrot cake delivery driver took over one hour called up twice in a space of 30 mins to be told delivery driver will be there soon when I asked to call the delivery driver the staff refused saying the driver gets the hump will not order from here again and would advise everyone else here to stay away rubbish service

We found this establishment via Groupon for a halal breakfast, we write this review with a disappointed distaste for such places. When we called the day before to confirm they still accepted groupon vouchers and for any terms and conditions that may have applied like timings and any pre reservations required. We spoke to a staff member who said that yes they accept groupon vouchers and we can pop in without reservation anytime before 3pm. We arrived at roughly 1pm, looking forward to our day out on our day off from work. We explained we called prior regarding the Voucher, however were very confused as to why suddenly the circumstances had changed. We were approached by the Owner/Manager of the establishment who is by far the most arrogant, condescending and patronising individual we have met who is in the business of service (cafe). He 1st told us that his establishment only accepted Groupon vouchers before 12pm, and as we came at one we no longer can use this offer. Thereafter a minute later he then went on to add that they no longer accepted groupon vouchers at all due to the costs and low profit margins he incurs (which isn’t the consumers issue or problem/concern) which confused us further because he clearly contradicted himself. He asked why we took pictures of the front as can be seen in our above post, we mentioned we are food bloggers. His next response very much upset “ oh you’re bloggers, I hope you give an honest review. I don’t know why my staff said we accept groupon vouchers when we don’t. Food bloggers only want ‘Honorary’ treatment otherwise they give a bad review. Even if you did give a bad review it wouldn’t affect me or my business in anyway, I can offer you 2 coffees on the house for your inconvenience. Although most owners wouldn’t even offer this as it’s not my fault. But I will so do be honest in your review.....” I would rather not go too much into the nitty gritty as writing this really does bring back that appalling experience. His unprofessional and discourteous behaviour was full of arrogance and passive aggression. Ironically we saw multiple customers returning food back and having issues themselves. S.N. I went to this cafe with my family 3 kids and Mrs as I heard it may be good. I had a bad experience as the serives was very poor. We were told to sit and no one took our order till we were told that why did you sit you must order first although I had inquired about this before sitting down. Moreover the quality of the food was poor. We had a full English however the sausages were plasticy cheap ones you get in frozen super market isles. Bread was cold without butter although they provided butter but from the fridge so would not melt on already cold bread. Portion was too small. All this for a high price £7.00 no hot drink included. I ordered a croissant which was to come with jam this was not provided. I had request fork knives several times. Poor poor.

Arrived there to eat and faced the most unfriendly and unsmiling staff. We had travelled from south London to come and eat there, and were so disappointed. Our English breakfast was 20 minutes late, cold, with a few bland mushrooms and the top half cut off a soggy tomato, with a couple of slices of uncooked turkey slices. Our toast was cold and accompanied by a few blocks of rock hard butter. When I asked for ketchup I was given a dirty look by the barista, and then given a tiny dolls house style pot of sauce between by husband and I! They need serious staff training, as well as the instructions on how to cook a basic English breakfast. Needless to say, would never come back and I hope they get the help they need because it really seems to be hit and miss.

Went here with my husband today. All I can say is, I was looking forward to a full English and a delicious dessert, but what I received was very different. The 'english' breakfast was vile, cold and bland, consisting of a few mushrooms, soggy piece of tomato, and uncooked turkey rashers. When I asked for the basic neccesity of ketchup, I was given a dirty look and then presented with a tiny pot that was apparently meant to be shared between two people. Laughable!

I've had a coffee and a skinny late in this coffee shop for the last year an a half. Staff were always very kind and warm till today. For some reason, you change people every week and unfortunately I had a very bad and unnecessary experience today. it was just a silly misunderstanding regarding coffe+cake deal (nothing important to be honest) and then I had to roll with a rude barista ( I've never seen before ) asking me if I can understand English and if I wanna pay more or less money. What's the point of this? I mean, it was just a question. Then the girl from staff kindly explain me why was the confusion and it's fine but honestly and unfortunately this is my last time here guys

I ordered from Uber eats, chicken sausages were nasty, toast came looking like hard tiles you plaster on the walls and the beans were cold.

It is nice to have great caffe shop in locality. In addition they serve nice English breakfast and continental food. I have tried their new addition Japanese Suhi. Excellent presentation and taste. Their friendly staffs always make me feel welcome with their great smile. I love to go there all the time.

This is a large, airy, spacious and comfortable café with a big front window, also seating outside. Caffe Latte is open from 6.00 am and so very convenient when staying at the Travelodge opposite if you don't want the hotel's 'breakfast box'. Good, efficient service with smiles and delicious cappucinnos, toasted teacakes and croissants. Take away also available.

I've been here twice so far and I can say that this is one of the best if not the best coffee shop in all of East London the place is spacious there is proper air conditioning the toilets are clean you feel like this place is big and not packed like the big names. Food is clean and very high hygiene in care workers are really friendly the coffee have been beyond my expectations. There should be a standard coffee shops around town and cafe latte coffee shop should be that standard I can gladly say that a visit this place over and over again.
