This Italian restaurant is a diamond. Quaint, cosy, friendly and food delicious. Three course meal and bottle of wine £68 for two. Best tiramisu I’ve had and had lots. Many thanks to staff and chef. Thank you

Italian place, Hours wrong (think about 5-9pm)

Lovely little cafe. Had a latte which was nice and tasted of coffee and not just milk! Our friends ate and said it was delicious. Proper Italian food.

Found by accident. Good eclectic menu. Cooked fresh and very flavoursome. Staff lovely. Both times the food was slower in arriving than in other places but that's the cost of freshly prepared food, and we'll worth the wait.

Authentic coffee and food, was looking for a place like that in Melton for a long time as you seem to not get good coffee anywhere in this country

A recommendation for anyone (like me!) who likes, or needs, to eat earlier in the evening. Caffe Italia in Church Street is a superb little Italian restaurant which offers the evening menu on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5.30 - 9.00 pm . In addition to their daytime menu (including Pizzas), They offer an imaginative set menu of 2 (£17) or 3 (£22) courses. I can personally vouch for the Spaghetti all vongole and the Strozzapreti pasta with lamb ragu, also the Caramel Pannacotta! Additionally, there is a takeaway service, but then you would miss the excellent front of house service and the relaxed ambience of the place. You could take advantage of the the 2 for £10 cocktails during Happy Hour!

This was our second visit here within a few weeks as we absolutely love the food and service. They even went above and beyond and made me something that wasn’t on the menu. (FYI the mushroom risotto is amazing). This has become our favourite place. Absolute must visit

I hadn't been here for 5 years, it popped up on my Facebook memories, we went in for a snack, ended up having a 3 course meal, lovely owner, the chef popped out for a chat, it was early on a Saturday evening as we wanted to get back for the rugby, wish I'd stayed for another glass of the great house red and more of the cheesecake. Could not fault this great little place.

Absolute perfect in every sense of the word. The chef came out to chat to me about the beautiful dishes they serve all whilst the lovely host was looking after me with a fan bottle of Italian wine. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Found this charming place and decided to pop in for lunch. The food was incredible. Great value for money as well. They had an offer for 2 for £12 for small pasta dishes (much bigger than expected having seen the price of the offer!) which were so delicious we stopped off again for dinner. Pizza was incredible and we made the most of their happy hour offer and had a couple of cocktails each as well! Service was incredible, very friendly and chatty. Definitely will visit again, next time I'm in the area.

Stumbled across this cosy Italian gem when we were visiting friends in Melton. It was a lovely setting and atmosphere to relax in and we started off with olives and bread, which was yummy. The pizzas looked and smelt amazing so we ordered the white pizza, it was super tasty and the dough had a lovely texture. We will definitely be visiting this proper Italian cafe as much as we can! Thanks to the staff who were super attentive and welcoming :)

This little family-run Italian restaurant/cafe has been my regular go-to for coffee or lunch whenever I'm in Melton because of the friendly and cheerful welcome one always receives and its authentic food and atmosphere. In the last few weeks, the younger generation of the family has taken over and are injecting some fresh energy and ideas, while taking care not to change the fundamental nature/appeal of the place. The newly-refreshed brunch menu, which my husband and I had yesterday, offers lots of interesting options. I chose the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on brioche, which was really delicious, and my husband had the full vegetarian breakfast which looked great. We sat on one of the tables outside and enjoyed watching the world pass by. The restaurant's location down a pretty cobbled side street just off the Market Square means that it could easily be missed by visitors to the town, which would be a great pity.

Second visit and food wonderful. Small but lovely place. Staff are very friendly.

Delicious food, so good I am thinking of going all the way to Melton just to go to the restaurant again. Unpretentious small place, friendly service, with the best cheese and pepper pasta I can remember having. Everything we had was so tasty. No room for pudding but the cakes and pastries looked lovely.

Fantastic strong coffee, very tasty food and great service - highly recommend

This is always our go-to place and has been for many years (since they were in the next door deli as it was then). The food is great and authentically Italian, with great daily specials. Fungi pasta, antipasti board and the breakfasts are our favourites. I always take home some cannolis, as they are the best I can find anywhere. Great at any time of day, highly recommended.

A delightful little prandial venue this, set beside a pretty cobbled lane, just off the Town’s Market Square. Quintessentially Italian in appearance and atmosphere, with seating inside and off-lane, it offers excellent coffee with accompanying “tasties,” plus “light bites” and a good variety of mostly simple, but very authentic dishes. My wife & I popped in for lunch. Service was friendly and efficient and our pasta was genuine and generous. A tasty treat indeed. Our respective coffees too, we’re up there with the best in Town. Pricing was fair and reasonable. A most attractive, accessible caffe, well managed & staffed and an asset to the Rural Capital of Food. Grazie.

I can't recommend this little restaurant enough , such lovely staff who went above and beyond to make up feel welcome and enjoy ourselves. We had pizza which was absolutely delicious, one of the nicest pizzas I've ever eaten. I had the homemade orange cheesecake and a coffe, both super good! The atmosphere is cozy and it feel authentic.

Had my food delivered on Uber Eats, but I pass by Cafe Italia every day for work and it looks quaint and authentic. Coffee was great but the pasta is the real star of the show. Really tasty and I will absolutely order again, or may even pop in on my lunch break.

We usually enjoy coming here but unfortunately the food wasn't up too standard my lasagne was very sloppy no layers of pasta or sauce just really like a sp bolognaise In pasta ribbons I did complain but nothing was offered as a compensation service also extremely slow left disappointed which is a shame

Just sat outside here with a good coffee and watched Melton Mowbray go by. Lovely stop and just what we wanted. Lovely spot with outside and inside seating.

Such a shame! Oily and bland food, ordered a tiramisu and retrieved a cake instead. Couldn’t eat the pasta due to the grease.

We visited Caffè Italia for lunch whilst waiting for an appointment. I had soup which was home made and my daughter had a pasta dish which was absolutely delicious. All their food is home made, and the staff are amazing, courteous and very efficient, an absolute pleasure to dine, and highly recommended!!

Best place in Melton for Lunch or any meal. Run by the Italian owner who is a magician in the Kitchen, great service and reasonably priced.

We spent a delightful lunch time here today. Spotlessly clean and Covid aware. Pizza and coffee excellent as was the service. In the heart of the old town and convenient for both the magnificent Church and high street. Well worth a visit!

A lovely traditional Italian cafe tucked away from the main high street we just stopped for a coffee and some pastries but the food menu looked fab. The service was great. Its a far batter option than the big chains- support your independents!

Delicious pizaa but it was ridiculous having to wait an hour for it. When I pointed out our coffee was gone because we had waited so long we were offered tap water! Not great customer care!

We had the smallest jacket potato, not well cooked, a tiny amount of filling. The worse we have ever had . Never again

Rather basic, short of authenticity. Icecream served was probably not Iralian, served without nonexistent presentation you would expect, just three scoops on plane bowl. Friendly service and sitting outside is a plus.

Visited on a lunchtime.We enjoyed Funghi pasta and Chicken panini ...food served quickly and hot.Tables spaced and well ventilated with outside seats available.

Lovely visited a few weeks ago. The pudding was delicious and the staff were all smiles. Husband enjoyed the pizza slot and we're very nice when asked to cook the meat a bit more. Very kid friendly and gave my daughter a packet of sweets and all floors and tables were very clean. Dinner was delicious especially the special spaghetti with seafood. Overall very nice. 😋😋

This is a lovely, friendly cafe in the day and small restaurant in the evening with a menu offering pasta and a few pizza options. Good for the children, we've been going here for many years, particularly for my favourite: breakfast.

A regular visitor during lunchtimes which always delivers. Booked for a Saturday night slot and expected more. It was the same as a lunchtime which was the issue, same menu. Dessert was a choice of 2 cakes, fine for lunch but wanted more for dinner. So easy to just dim the lights, add a tablecloth, couple of candles and different menu. No issues with the cooking or service which is always good

Good range of coffee drinks, including non-dairy options. Cannoli seemed 'proper' Italian, croissant was hot and tasty. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Some seating out in the sun, some indoors. Busy and full of character.

Had a frittata, salad and bread and a lovely cup of coffee. Very nice little cafe, hidden away down a side street. If you want something different and like Italian food I would recommend a visit to Caffe Italia.

Really enjoyed this one. Popped in for a spot of late lunch and not disappointed. It's a cozy Italian cafe with a contemporary feel. A good menu mixing pizza and pasta. The meals we had were thoroughly enjoyable. What I really liked was the menu offered two serving sizes. I prefer smaller meals so I can enjoy them without feeling uncomfortable, others may prefer something larger. Highly recommended.

When visiting Melton we love eating at Caffe Italia as the food is always very good and their coffee is excellent. Would recommend that you try it as it is very well worth it. 5 STARS.

Little rustic coffee shop-cafe-restaurant just off the main square. Mixture of English and Italian breakfast options were good and coffee quality was nice. Disappointing service though waiting 20mins for 3/6 meals to not be available and had to reorder and having to eat separately once they'd been cooked. Hopefully a one-off but quaint retreat from the rain ended up a bit frustrating

Didn’t know this place existed. Market day in Melton Mowbray and then lunch here. Fabulous lasagne, lobster ravioli and (don’t tell anyone) that well known Italian pizza: Stilton and Melton sausage topping. Great service. Freshly cooked food. Lovely atmosphere with regulars coming in.
