Visited here this week and had a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend the fish finger butty. Our dog was made to feel as welcome as we were and a bowl of fresh water and a doggy treat were brought to the table for him. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Fab cafe, cosy and warm, with delicious food and smiling, friendly staff serving it. On a wet Tuesday in November it was just what we needed. We had lovely home made tomato and basil soup - a good helping - which was served with the most delicious toasted cheese scone I have ever tasted! Would highly recommend!

We ordered the wensleydale and ham on ligjtly toasted multichannel roll. WOW. The cheese was crumbly and tasty, the ham, which is baked on the premises just melted in my mouth. Tasty chutney and lovely side salad garnish. All good looked delicious. Will definitely return.

Wow! We’re so pleased we stopped here. We only intended having coffee and cake, but it was just after midday, we’d been up early and done a long walk (to see the red squirrels). We asked for the lunch menu anyway, there was a lot of choice and for me (fussy) ALL the things I like (sarnies and fish finger sarnies). I opted for the soup (mushroom) with toasted cheese scone and my husband went for the Yorkshire Rarebit with skinny fries. I thought they’d be nice as a light snack. The meals were huge, great portion size and therefore great value. And they were extremely yummy, the soup was in a large bowl, hot, homemade and so tasty! And it was one of the best cheese scones I’ve ever had. It’s a very popular cafe, so I think we were lucky to get a table. The service was excellent and the food came in about ten minutes. I’d definitely recommend going…..now, shall we have one of those huge slabs of cake as well…?!

There’s a time and place for egg, chips and tea, pies or toasted sarnies; they’re a great British tradition and Hawes offers a lot of this staple - it’s a class thing and the expectation of the majority of visitors. Sometimes, however, it’s time for something with a little less of the school canteen fodder and Curva has it. There’s a limited menu but it’s thoughtful: quiches, salads, chilli chips with lots of cake and good coffee. Above all, it’s prepped and served by an efficient team of young women with good grace and good manners. We’re glad you’re there.

Lovely place, been here for coffee and cake before. The food on this visit is more on the expensive side but it is Hawes. Sandwiches lovely presented but the mature cheddar was quite bland and I could only taste chutney, the quiche looked fantastically prepared but had hidden chutney in the base which was not expected and not over impressed sorry! Staff were pleasant and very busy as you have to take a seat then go to the counter order and pay which can be quite congested around the till area, with takeaway customers and people already seated via the one way system, which is not brilliant with the current social distancing.

Decided to have a day out in Hawes today and found Caffe Curva with seating outside. As soon as we went to sit down someone came at us with a menu Not much to choose from we both decided on a "open toasted sandwich". Hubby had Mature Cheddar and I opted for the Tuna & sweetcorn both with melted cheddar. If the sandwiches HAD been toasted then they need a new toaster and if the cheese was mature then I wouldn't like to try a non mature it was tasteless.. No fries left at about 12.30 which is lunchtime and the only soup available was celery??? At almost £18 for 2 sandwiches and 1 pot of tea for 2 iis definitely not worth the money. Won't go back as I don't like being ripped off and I certainly feel we were today.

Excellent place to grab a substantial sandwich and side salad each, as we did, before setting off on a brisk afternoon walk along a section of the Dales Way south of Hawes. Really popular, friendly, and in a fine old building on the main street which has been turned into a really nice cafe with a couple of comfy old leather sofas as well as the tables and chairs. One downside was that the cafe has taken Covid security really seriously and all the windows and doors were wide open: minimal infection risk but cosy it’s not. A good find nonetheless and good-sized and good value portions.

Planned to stop in Sedbergh for coffee and food but after 20 miles of energy sapping headwind we opted to stop earlier and pulled up in Hawes. I’m very glad we did. The cafe was clean and tidy and there was a calm and friendly atmosphere. Covid policies were clearly being practiced making us feel both safe and welcome.Staff took our order and our food was delivered without much delay, only a sausage barm and a bacon and egg barm but I have to say it was absolutely delicious! Generous portion and cooked to perfection. Big thumbs up to the staff there too who were extremely friendly and professional. Thanks you.

Amazing little lunch, it made our day! The lady in the kitchen obviously takes a lot of pride in her cooking. Simple lunches done very very well. The rest of the staff were lovely too. Lots of plentiful good quality ingredients and the homemade soup was the best! Will absolutely be back here, thank you

We arrived at Caffe Curva just after 11am and after being slightly disappointed we had missed brunch, decided to have an early lunch (we had just walked 12km!)We went for the fish finger sandwich, the mixed salad bowl (these are fresh and change daily) and shared some sweet potato fries. WOW. What can I say! Absolutely delicious, fresh and comforting food with extremely generous portions. A great change up from pub food. The coffee was also good and the cakes looked epic, but unfortunately we couldn’t fit one in! Will 100% be returning on our next trip to Hawes. (My only ask would be if Caffe Curva could put a menu up online so we could’ve seen in advance when brunch ended!)
