Caffe Aurora in South Holland

The first visit today! What a lovely gem it is!!! Unfortunately I only had a black coffee but it was delicious. Warm welcome from a friendly chap. The place was lovely and clean. Great background music . I Will definitely look forward to my next visit. A great relaxing experience. “Heaven in Holbeach” 👍👍👍

Caffe Aurora is my favourite local eating place - friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, delicious - way too tempting - cakes, savouries and 'light bites' plus a great range of drinks - for me this is a local treasure I always enjoy visiting and love to share with my friends!

Enjoyed the most amazing cheesecake from here today! Apple crumble flavour-it was delicious! Service was great. Staff very polite and friendly. Will be returning soon! Was a great way to end the week!

Whenever we visit Holbeach we love to visit Caffe Aurora. The owner is very welcoming and they serve the best coffee and cakes for miles around. Light meals and a specials menu also available. The place is spotlessly clean - you don't have to wipe your utensils or crockery with a napkin as in so many coffee shops. It is always a highlight of our visit to Holbeach.

Thank you for yet another delightful and very tasty lunch “special”! Delicious slice of cake taken away to have with my afternoon tea and never fails to deliver. Visiting this friendly and welcoming cafe is a must when in Holbeach. ❤️

We were looking for a halfway meeting point for lunch. This was perfect. Warm welcome, great food (I had the goats cheese and beetroot sandwich with sourdough), good value and a chilled friendly atmosphere. Will be back!

Meeting up with a friend in a town that was new to us, we parked in between two cafés. We asked a passer-by which of the two would be best. Without hesitation she pointed to Aurora. Excellent choice. A wonderfully cheery welcome was followed by a very wholesome breakfast brought to us in a good time. The atmosphere was brisk, efficient and comfortable. Coffee good too.

Great for lunch/afternoon tea We went to a few locations prior to this based purely on geography but found them to either be closed or full. With two octogenarians in tow we finally found ourselves at Holbeach and have to say it was a lovely surprise.We had some great food(wraps and toasties) and lots of tea! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend! Thank you Caffe Aurora.

We always love coming to our fave cafe, the best cafe in holbeach for sure! Me and my friend had an avocado red pesto wrap which was a great portion, delicious flavour and the dip was insane too!! Honeycomb cappuccino and peanut butter jelly cheese cake to finish. Perfect brunch if you ask me! The cheese cake had an amazing balance of sweet and salty 😋 And to top it off the service is always welcoming ❤️

Greeted like an old friend at the door out of the cold and in to the warmth enjoyed the most incredible Avocado,red pesto rocket, and hazelnut wrap accompanied by crisps and enjoyed alongside a classic mocha what a delight cannot wait to return to this exquisite caffe again and again and again

Lovely little cafe/coffee shop, they do lots of different specials, I had the waffles and black pudding which was delicious, great coffee and I always pop in for a croissant pre haircut!

A really smashing lunch, super hot coffee. Great value for money. So much better than a recent lunch at a National Trust property. Well worth a visit if you're in Holbeach. We'll definitely visit again.

Often meet friends for lunch here or for breakfast and it is so welcoming and friendly I had no hesitation in dining alone whilst waiting for my car repair. The Red Pepper and Tomato Soup was the nicest I have tasted anywhere. Can’t recommend it enough!

We use this cafe all the time and their cakes are to die for, but we thought our light lunch today was superb I had share. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, gorgeous fresh salmon and eggs and a superb hollandaise sauce, mmm. My partner had a bacon and poached egg sandwich, sounds simple doesn’t it, but he was really impressed which isn’t easy to do. The bread was fresh cut bloomer style, the bacon was excellent quality and exactly the right crispness, and there were 3 large rashers, topped with a perfect poached egg. All in all a lovely and very filling lunch, in nice surroundings with lovely staff.

We were looking for somewhere midway to meet up with family. Went by reviews here on trip advisor and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. We phoned to book our table and were advised of their covid safety procedure. The welcome and service was great. Friendly and informative making us feel very comfortable. We all chose something different and everything was excellent. If eggs benedict is on the menu I'll order it and if this wasn't the best I've had it would be equal to it. Absolutely delicious. As was the homemade black forest gateaux, apparently my face said it all.Cannot compliment this place enough, everything was great. Looking forward to our next meeting

We were looking for somewhere to have a coffee and a chat before getting down to work. The Caffe Aurora is not just 'somewhere' to have a coffee it is the most wonderful place to enjoy a coffee. The homemade food was utterly delicious and the buttery pastry of the mince tart was the best I have tasted. Not just any mince tart by any means! The members of staff were friendly and efficient and it was all clean, welcoming and cosy. I don't live in Holbeach but I will certainly visit again to have lunch here.

We visited for the second time today. The food was again exceptional, our Croque Madame was delicious. We also ordered drinks & when I forgot to specify decaf for myself, they changed it immediately at no extra cost.The cakes looked amazing, so we just had to take two slices as a takeaway, which tasted just as good as they looked. I can thoroughly recommend this Caffe, it is definitely more than a cafe! The Covid precautions were spot on too.

Afull frontal attack on the mask wearing. I get 'our policy'(well sort of) but when the owner is wearing a visor...useless, and we are 2 steps from a table. World has gone mad. Coffee really good. Toast over priced, hard and lack of butter.

I’ve posted before about Cafe Aurora, it’s brilliant and our little town is lucky to have it. I’m particularly obsessed with the coleslaw it’s sooooooo good. I was reminded yesterday of the importance of keeping posts on here though because a couple on a long journey had stopped off to try it as good lunch point. Without question the tiny step off the A17 is worthwhile for one of the nicest cafe experiences you can have.

I turned up just before half past four, there was a sign that last orders half an hour before closing, great I thought just made it, it took someone five minutes to come from the back even after I called. Told me I was too late as they closed in less than half an hour. I know how long those coffee machines take to clean, even if I'd turned up fifteen minutes earlier I wouldn't have got a coffee. He was smarmy and quite rude. All I wanted was a proper coffee after driving for a couple of hours. Disgusted.

Such a friendly and cosy cafe, very tasty lunch options, reasonably priced, good coffee and very tempting dessert options. Very wide range of vegan and veggie options including vegan cheese and vegan-meat-style sandwiches! Five star service from friendly and covid-aware owner. Check it out!

After a longish drive on a very hot morning we stopped at Holbeach - a first visit for us. As we walked through this small town we thought that we would never find a place for a reviving cup of coffee and cakes .We chanced on Caffe Aurora, what a delight. First class coffee and far too tempting cakes served by genial and very pleasant staff. Spotlessly clean and correctly precise with COVID rules. Congratulations all round.A visitor from Oz

This is a cafe that has got the Covid measures just right. You feel perfectly safe but, as soon as you are sat down, you don't feel uncomfortable or restricted. The measures are explained clearly but in a friendly way as you enter by the owner who is a great ambassador for this place.Food is absolutely delicious and, very importantly, the coffee is steaming hot!!We'll continue to come here whenever we are in the area.

We took a chance to visit for lunch as we were passing Holbeach. The family run cafe was welcoming, and accommodated my vegan requirements without any fuss. Prices are OK, and servings are substantial. All day veggie breakfast was available.Unfortunately the cheese on my daughter's cheese sandwich wasnt evenly spread - and she took a big chomp of it, so she was the only one who didnt finish her meal.

We were recommended this cafe and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Excellent atmosphere and stunning food. The owner is a charismatic and excellent host. If in Holbeach, this is the go to location for good food.

Just had afternoon tea with a friend, place was spotless, very Covid Friendly, cakes were to die for, we chose 5 different ones, all lovely, but the best of the best was the pavlova out of thus world, the portions were huge, staff very friendly, could not do enough for you, will be back.

Having been here before ,it was great to see it open for business again. We booked fir a slot beforehand. COVID safe and comfortable. Usual amazing full menu fron coffee and cakes ,which I have to say are amazing, breakfast menus,specials. Friendly host, nothing too much trouble. Throughly recommend this place.

The covid rules were observed in a style that felt oppressive. Which I know in the current environment some people might feel necessary. when going out for a relaxing bite to eat the idea is to enjoy the experience not to feel uncomfortable and we felt like we were a necessary inconvenience . The fact that the tables we were shown to were close to other diners, even though there were other empty tables in the small room seems to me again not ideal .wearing a plastic visor when standing over seated customers isnt in my opinion of any use especially when telling anyone who stands to put on a mask .In all we felt like customer service was curt and polite but no warmth at all not a pleasant experience.

If, like me, you’re not a huge fan of Starbucks, there are not that many places to stop on the journey to and from the Midlands and East Anglia. This lovely little café is on the main street in Holbeach, with parking almost immediately opposite. Extremely friendly and welcoming people, excellent coffee and a good menu. A real find, to which I will definitely be returning on future trips.

Popped into Holbeach and walking down high street, came across this lovely Caffee Aurora. We were met by a very nice and friendly staff. Great coffee, lovely cake and excellent food. Had the breakfast and it was great. Place is lovely and clean. Prices very reasonable. Will be back and will recommend to friends.

We've missed going to caffe Aurora. We supported it during lockdown when they were doing collections and were sad to see if have to close for the last lockdown so when it opened it's doors again we were straight back to offer our support to this superb little local business. Alas for me my fave cakes were not on display for this first trip back but my brie and bacon toasted panini was superb as was my wife's goats cheese and beetroot wrap. We needed somewhere to eat in the area as we were travelling to view properties in the area and popped into Holbeach on the off chance they had a little cafe, and we came across Caffe Aurora. What a find! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a good selection of food including a menu catering for vegans.I had a toasted sandwich with vegan cheese and roasted vegetables, which was delicious. If we had more time we would have had a cake as they looked delicious, but maybe next time, as we would definitely eat here again, or just pop in for coffee and cake.Definitely a great hidden find.

We have so missed our friends at Caffe Aurora during the pandemic. So to be sitting in our 'usual' seats inside the spotlessly clean Caffe was just joyful. I felt quite giddy!We had poached eggs on toast with baked beans and then cake! Sophie and her team make the most amazing cakes - the Malteser cheesecake is to die for. And the Battenberg is delicious. And the Pavlova ..... and then the Princess cake ................. you see where I'm coming from! It is the duty of every cake lover to try each one at least once! I notice on Facebook that they have re-introduced some specials - Eggs Benedict is a favourite of mine ( mind you, everything in Aurora is a favourite of mine!) and today I spotted beef or vegetable lasagne.I will be booking a table today!It's so good to feel a little bit back to normal after such long difficult months.See you soon Caffe Aurora.

Had cappuccino and homemade cake. Strong coffee and loads of froth - just as it should be. Nice cake. Quick service. Was a bit pricey for Holbeach though - it's not quite in London!!!!

We ate at this lovely caffe as we passed through Holbeach. Sandwiches were brilliant, and the portion sizes were very generous. We had cakes after, and the same can be said about them. Overall, lovely little cafe in a lovely little town. Would definitely recommend!

Caffe Aurora ,Serve a hot cup of coffee ( i love my coffee hot not lukewarm ) like a lot of cafes serve these days . The cake was really moist and a generous slice ( Strawberry & Almond) .The staff are really welcoming , friendly . You can pre- book your table and meal in advance , so if you are pushed for time this is a plus , Seating really comfortable no hard seats at Aurora Caffe . Hygiene standards very high .

As we have come to expect, the staff welcomed us warmly and explained what covid hygiene practices are in place. It was reassuring to see everything, including chairs, carefully cleaned between customers.We had a tasty chorizo and tomato quiche and followed this with long-awaited cake and coffee. Mine was lemon and coconut and was lovely, but too much for me so had to take some home. It was good to be back and I cannot wait to resume to my regular coffee and cake visits. Thank you to all the staff for all their efforts.

It’s wonderful to be able to eat again at Caf’e Aurora in Holbeach! The staff are so friendly and inviting, the food is delicious and freshly prepared! The cakes are out of this world, so much choice, especially if you eat gluten and wheat free foods! We are coffee connoisseurs, their’s gets a ten out of ten from us! My husband and I have just had the most delicious takeaway from Caffe Aurora! The food has always been excellent, global pandemic or not, and having their paninis and cakes at home for our dinner has cheered us right up! And as for the Turkish Delight Latte... Amazing!!!

Have been frequenting this place for a number of years. On my own, with friends and family. Never been disappointed. Now, with these unprecedented times, went and ordered a take away lunch. As always greeted with a friendly smile and chat, whilst waiting for my toastie. The cake was lush too.

We went in for lunch during a short visit. Food and service were excellent and high standard of cleaning/Covid protection. So pleased we returned later for afternoon tea and can recommend the fruit scones and cream tea! Well worth visiting.

Called in for a quick snack when passing and thought I would try this combination as it sounded interesting. Can only compliment the service and my choice arrived as described with plenty of syrup and bacon. Absolutely delicious. Stopped on a long journey from Cromer to Lancaster.Never been to Holbeach before (and seen as it's so far from our home we may never come again!) However that is not a reflection on this cafe, which was very pleasant!Nice friendly service and tasty food. pancakes with maple syrup and bacon.what you get is three pancakes one of these was overcooked edges all-around bacon was tough and dry and smothered in maple syrup.called waiter over to explain the problem was told thats how it comes.no resolution not interested poor quality food won't be going back.

This place is incredible always have wonderful feeling as you walk through the door. Such a welcoming environment. I have never had such a fantastic sausage roll in my life. Home made pork bacon and cranberry with sweet chilli dip delicious pastry. Followed by home made blackforest gateau that was sublime and the best flat white for miles. Great service as always. Can not fault this amazing little gem .

Visited today with two children in tow and enjoyed every second. The atmosphere was great, with a well thought out strategy to overcome current obstacles and the food was the icing on the cake (or rather quite literally the wonderful cakes for dessert!). Staff were brilliant with the children and was a lovely touch to bring the smallest’s food first (gave me a chance to help him before mine arrived!)We tried some of the new specials which were super tasty club sandwiches, the children’s menu offered lots of options and were thoroughly enjoyed as were the delicious cakes (triple layer peanut and chocolate HAD to be tried and it was amazing!!!)This wasn’t our first visit by any means and we have always had the best time but I was a little worried about how the restrictions would affect us and if the children would fit in with them. I had no reason to be and will certainly be visiting again soon!!

Went to this caffe this morning for breakfast with a friend. Second time eating out since COVID 19 so was a little worried, but we didn’t need to be. Caffe was spotless and really well set out. We were told how to order and how to stay distanced from others. We both ordered cooked breakfast which arrived quickly, was good quality and tasted great. On leaving we treated ourselves to some takeaway cake which was just amazing. I would recommend this caffe and look forward to going back soon.

We were lucky enough to visit caffe aurora the day before lockdown so were only to happy to see that it had re-opened with Covid measures in place.Same friendly staff and even more superb cakes to choose from along with the classic nibbles we love.Our personal faves are the goats cheese and beetroot wrap and the brie and bacon panini. Not been out for lunch since the lock-down. really enjoyed a lovely lunch ,fabulous menu, the cheese mac was delicious, service as normal was excellent . all precautions in place for social distancing ,felt really safe .. The staff were all keeping both ourselves and themselves safe . very reassuring to visit again.

Lovely cafe with an extensive menu for any time of day. Personally their latte and chocolate chip shortbread is wonderful! Huge slices of Battenberg cake for my daughter. Paninis sandwiches soup etc too.

Wow! Only went in for a drink but after a browse of the spectacular specials menu I had to try the black pudding waffles...... Believe me when I say that these are the best things I have ever tasted. Presented beautifully and the flavours just went together perfectly.Holbeach is honored to have this Cafe in the town and I'd you've never been then you just have to try it.They have such unique menu items along with the basic items such as sandwiches.Its a lovely atmosphere and it's run by great people.Best in Lincolnshire?? The staff have never failed to provide a friendly and welcoming service on the many occasions I have visited the cafe over recent years and the food is always of an expceptionally high standard. The cakes are by far some of the best I've eaten - only one of the reasons why I keep returning bringing family and friends with me!
