We recently had a large kids party here and it couldn’t have been better. The party coordinators were amazing, particularly Chloe and with such a big group (23). First the kids get to hold and pet small animals. Then they were provided with carrots to feed the larger animals. The birthday boy and his cousins were also allowed to groom the ponies. The kids were then treated to a tractor ride and free time to play in the play area before lunch and birthday cake. Lunch was well organised and all the many dietary requirements were managed perfectly! Parents could either join the children or had the option to wait in the tea rooms with a brew. The party price includes entry for 1 child and 1 adult. We have always loved Reddish Vale Farm but now we love it even more. A wonderful party at a wonderful venue.

Myself and two children aged 7 and 3 visited on Tuesday. Not very clear how to get into the farm but called the number and was directed to the entrance. The farm was brilliant with a mix of larger and smaller animals, lots of activities on to take part in. Soft play area and a great outside play area. The tractor ride was great but could do with being two laps. Special shout out to the lady and lad in the outdoor cafe who were so friendly and accommodating and great with the kids. Thank you guys.

Went to the farm on Saturday and to be honest I don't think it is worth £10 for adults and for children then have to pay for the tractor aswell my grandchildren are only 4 and 2 £5 would be plenty to pay to see a few animals and play on a park.

For the price we paid for the Christmas event was pretty poor, we had to wait to go through to the Elves work shop, in there we built a stuffed animal which took all of 10 mins, we had to queue to get out of a door into a yard with houses made up for Christmas and a post office where you were given a small bag of sweets. We then went to the sorting office where they talked about how letters get to Santa and got the kids to separate some letters. We then was ushered into mother Christmas kitchen where the kids dressed up and ate a gingerbread man and a story was read to us. We then went to the animal yard with goats and llamas and a big sleigh where you queued up to have a picture taken. We then sperated and we went in to see Santa, he came down a chimney which was great for the kids and pictures taken. We then walked through a room and was charged £18 for 2 pictures and out of a gate and it was done. It needs a lot more my 9 yr old grandson was bored and had to struggle through parents to get to the front. Over priced for me but we have tried it but I wouldn't recommend it.

Have been coming to RVF for several years and overall had lovely experiences. This review is specifically regarding our recent visit, for the Farmer Christmas Experience. We as a family have taken our daughter to this for the last few years and always found it well planned and enjoyable. This can not be said for this year sadly. After being told to arrive 15 mins early, which we did, we were horrified to be greeted by a terrifying looking "Grinch" in a costume and mask that belongs in a horror movie. My child waa terrified, as were many other children we saw. We were then left standing in the 'holding area' for 45 mins (15 mins after our booked start time) which was incredibly cramped, and left a lot of children (and adults) bored and restless. Not a great start. After the first part of the experience, making toys and elf magic show, which was nice, we were then pretty much left to it. Previously there have been guides, to show us through to the next bits, but a lot of people were just kind of stood aroumd, bewildered, wondering what we were supposed to do next. Thankfully, after previous visits, we knew where to go, so others followed us. The Mrs Claus kitchen was terrible. Every other year has been so authentic, with the sweetest lady Claus. This was so poorly organised, and 'Mrs Claus' was rude, dismissive and constantly rushed and shushed everyone. She shouted that there was only 5 minutes for the children to decorate their gingerbread and caused anxiety (had we not been let in 15 mins late, I doubt this would have happened) she then, very badly, rushed through storytime, rushing questions to the children yet not giving them time to respond, leaving them bewildeeed and flustered. Cried OH MY GOD more times than I could count, then pushed us out of the door. The next little show was cute, but apathetic 'elves' wandering around with their River Island handbags and vapes did take the shine off it somewhat. Reaching the area with the sleigh & singing reindeers was aa badly organised as most of it, with me having to take the initiative to gather my family for photos. Only then did the elf, who had been stood at the other side begin to make an effort. The absolute worst part was the actual Santa meet though. Again, in previous years, there has been a truly authentic Santa and has been lovely. This year, I don't know where they found this guy, but he was just awful! Terribly cheap tacky costume and beard, which he constantly tugged at, revealing his actual face and completely ruining any magic the children may have felt. He didn't know what to say, and just kept referring to his elves, before rushing us through a picture and out the door. The picture was also rubbush, the flash completely whiting out my child, and they wanted £18 for it! Sadly we will not be returning next year, and will not be recommending to friends any more. I wish I could get a refund to at least attempt to make up for this waste of money.

2 adults and 2 children visited North Pole experience on 23/12/23 @ 12.15. One of our children was 16 months old and the other 6 years old and the the fact you couldn’t take in prams made it very difficult. 😞 The reason no prams allowed was obvious going round as there were far too many people in the group and little ones found it very overwhelming. Giving out hot drinks whilst decorating the gingerbread man was also dangerous and not an easy task with too many people in one place. Whilst the experience was ok just felt very unhappy to pay a lot of money to have unhappy children not able to enjoy themselves. Definitely wouldn’t book again for this experience 🥲🥲🥲

What a magical experience. From when you walk in, starting with the elf workshop where you build a stuff animal, then onto the pole office wirh a short stop at the elf sweet shop. Then onto the Mrs Claus kitchen where the children decorated a ginger bread, seen the robotic reindeer that sing and finally onto santa coming down the chimney and getting a gift. Lovely magical experience for everyone especially the little ones. I think it’s well worth the money, they get to make their own soft toy to take home, sweets from the shop, decorate a gingerbread man and a present from Santa. I took my 3 year old Granddaughter who was a bit overwhelmed at times and a little reluctant to join in at first but the kindness and patience of all Santa’s helpers meant she was very brave and got to see him in the end and get her present so I would like to say a big thank you to all of them for that.

Really wanted everyone to have a good time! - Good range of activities - Present / gift at end was good - Scenery and setting pretty good Cons - Felt a bit rushed from one room to the next, like you are being moved on for next group - Story corner with Mrs Claus - she needs some training / help with how to engage children and maybe use a different story - Price point is high. Done some other things that are better value All in all a good afternoon and kids enjoyed it

Only negative I have is Mrs Clause was not as good as the previous years , she came across as too young and very impatient with the children (children repeatedly told to shhhhhhh and we only have 5 minutes ) this was the only let down of the full experience. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. We visit regularly and love the place, but booked farmer Christmas for all the family. I dislocated my knee the day before so couldn't attend with the rest of my family. Was really pleasantly surprised when reddish vale rearranged the tickets for me and my son. I felt like the worst mum in the world and the worst Christmas ever but thanks to reddish vale farm my son's first Christmas has been made, he finally got to meet Santa (and the Grinch who he wanted to go home with) the elves were brilliant, and all the staff were absolutely fantastic in general, and went above and beyond for the children and the adults. I was offered chairs throughout by the staff as they could clearly see me on crutches, and really put my mind at ease as I was so anxious about going outside for the first time in weeks. I cannot recommend this place enough, well worth the money and more. It was just amazing and I really will never be able to say enough thanks. It was truly magical

Reddish Vale at Christmas was highly recommended to us but unfortunately we left a little disappointed. The range of activities were great and the setting was brilliant however there were far too many people there at the same time and it felt like you were having to strain to see anything through the crowd. The phrase ‘herding cattle’ came to mind. Also when we got to the ‘pinnacle’ of the experience - meeting Santa, we were left disappointed again. Santa unfortunately didn’t know what to say and did not communicate with the children very well. My children were confused and looked to us for help to answer his ‘questions.’ He stumbled his words and had to rely on the ‘elves’ for support. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired. Sadly, we won’t be booking again.

We did the Christmas experience with my nephew (4) and it really was a lovely day! We paid £45 for a child and £16 for each adult, the adult price seems a bit high but for child you do get a fair bit for the price. It includes sending a letter to santa, stuffing a toy the child can take home, sorting letters and watching a bit of a show/doing a dance, meeting Mrs Clause and decorating gingerbread men, getting sweets from the sweet shop, a picture in the sleigh with anamatronic reindeer, then meeting santa and getting a gift (which was of decent quality surprisingly!). Lots of photos opportunities, they decorated the different rooms lovely and it wasn't too overcrowded or waiting too long. The children get to take home a few different things which makes it more worth the money. The energy from the elves and Mrs Clause was great, I was fairly underwhelmed with the Santa as he wasn't really performing as a character more talking as himself which wasn't that impressive (and my nephew made a comment on compare to a different santa he has seen earlier that week). Overall I feel it's a really worthy experience and highly recommend as a christmas experience for children and nice for adults to share with them.

We have been in previous years and have been really impressed by the whole set up and fantastic and believable Father Christmas at the end. This year was the same set up which all ran smoothly with lots to do - the elves were so good at keeping everyone entertained too. We were so glad that the groups were smaller for the actual Father Christmas part so it's a huge shame that this was where the experience let itself down. Having experienced a really realistic Father Christmas previously we expected that again this year so we were happy to pay quite a lot of money to get this again this year. Unfortunately, the Father Christmas that we actually got seemed to be nervous, unsure of what to say and quite bothered by his fake beard. My child has come away saying "I don't think that's the real Father Christmas" which is heartbreaking when she is so young. I am now left annoyed for this event tarnishing what is meant to be a magical experience for our children. We will not be booking again in future due to this.

We visisted for the Farmer Christmas experience. Here are my thoughts on this event Positives - first of all, top marks for the staff who were all great with the kids, enthusiastic, interactive etc -The passports they give to each child is really cute and looks nice - You can tell a lot of thought and effort and has gone into the event, each room is interactive -The build your own toy making was a lovely touch, each child get to pick one to make and then take home Negatives - santas grotto - this was really disappointing! I thought each group would get to see Santa on thier own, instead everyone is huddled into one room and you take turns to see santa and have a picture. It lets it down in my opinion. -there was nowhere to buy refreshements. The kiosk was shut when we arrived (first slot) and there was nowhere to buy anything throughout - expensive at just under £100 for an experience under 2 hours

The only let down was the smaller stall doing doughnuts, was in line for 15 minutes as it said bottles and cans was sold on the sign and the woman was extremely slow in service no urgency for the large amount of people and when I was finally served she told me there wasn’t any drinks there and it was to the other stall, but regardless of that it was still a fun day!

Started in the petting barn where each child got to hold the animals. They were then all given a bucket of carrots to feed to bigger animals. Followed by a tractor ride , then time on the play park. Many of the larger animals can be fed with carrots that are on sale at the entrance and some of the smaller animals can be held and stroked. As well as the animals, there is a large adventure play area with activities for children of all ages and a soft play area for younger children. What magical place! The animals were great and well cared for, the play area was great for the kids and the staff were so so lovely and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back for one of their themed events! Ps thank you to the guy who handed me a goat, you made my year 😭❤️

We had a lovely time here with my 6 year old. It wasn't too busy either for a Sunday afternoon. Just be careful of the foam party, if the foam is inhaled it can be quite dangerous. Just stand back out of the centre of the madness. My daughter loved petting and feeding animals, the park was good with beach areas to make sandcastles and whatnot and the two huge bouncy inflatables were alot of fun.

It was a great experience for the kids. They played with lots of animals, went on the rides , swings and slides. Had their face painted, there was a magician and foam party too.

We had such a lovely day out at the farm. The children loved holding the guinea pigs and rabbits, feeding the animals, grooming the ponies and the tractor ride. The indoor and outdoor play areas were brilliant with a wide variety of play things. We will definitely be visiting again.

Brilliant place very friendly staff . But would only say for younger children. Brought my 11 and 15 yrs old. Nothing really for older girl. Luckily the weather was nice. So sat and ate. X

Great setup here. Massive outdoor play area, smaller indoor play area and a great (very clean) animal section. My kids are 2 and 4 and could easily spend an entire day here.

Absolutely fantastic place! Amazing staff, beautiful surroundings and extremely clean. So much to do, and animals to see and hold. Tractor ride was great and to top it off we had a foam party at the end, kids said it was the best day out they had ever had, thank you 😀

Terrible customer service and a complete lack of good will. I booked 5 ticket ( £50) for last Saturday when it poured with rain all day . I called first thing in the morning and asked whether I could swap it for any other day. The manager Becky flatly refused saying that it wasn’t up to the company but to a third party (?) . Such a shame as it shows that the company is only interested in getting the money and doesn’t care about the customers’ experience or enjoyment . Deeply disappointed and probably will never visit again .

This farm is great, have been bringing my daughter and friends here since she was 2 (they are now 11!) They love it here, petting the guinea pigs and rabbits is a highlight. But they also have an amazing outdoor play area and the staff are all brilliant.

I took my 4yr old grandson yesterday and had the best time. The animals are well cared for, in clean pens. We enjoyed feeding them carrots, which you can buy on entry. There were goats, sheep, cows, donkeys, alpacas and a shire horse. There are also small animals which you can pet. There is a great indoor play area for younger kids and a huge outdoor area for young and older children. My grandson loved the sand pit and the bouncy hills as well as the tripwire. We ended the day with some food (reasonably priced) and a trip on the tractor train. The staff were lovely, very friendly and chatty and the whole area was very clean. We will definitely return.

Love coming here with my son. We have been coming since he was 1 and it is such a good day out. There's lots for him to do but even more if your child is over 4-5 as there's a full playpark with 2 HUGE bouncy trampolines. Really good lay out and lots to do. If you are thinking of going then just go because you won't regret it, good fun for the parents too!

We had our 6 year olds birthday party here today. I had to take the time to review. The party was just perfect. Handled so well from start to finish. Our party host Chloe was so patient and wonderful with the kids. Everyone had a great time. Definitely one of the best parties we have had. Zero stress and 100% fun! Thanks Chloe and team! 🫶

We travelled from Birmingham and were staying in Manchester for a few days, thought we'd visit for our baby. We all absolutely loved his first experience at the farm. He was happy and there was plenty to do. It was well organized. We thought it was very reasonably priced for adults however baby also got charged full price (same as adult price) which I was surprised about. Most places are free for under 2's in Birmingham.

Extortionate price if you go there as a family. Adults and kids pay the same price of £10. Not sure why the adults have to pay full price. I don’t think the model is right. We would go regularly if it was cheaper. The animals are great and there are a lot of fun activities for kids of all ages. But unfortunately is just a money making place.

We attended Reddish Vale farm as a group of 12 on a bright sunny Saturday morning. We had a lovely day, the place is looking great with the fabulous animals and a great outdoor play area. It was so nice outside we didn't even check out the indoor play. My daughter bought a sandwich which actually looked freshly made and tasted delicious. Loads of picnic benches/tables to eat at too. The staff were amazing and I loved the fact one member of staff was taking animals around to the children and it was all very interactive. My favourite farm around and a very reasonable price.

We had the best day here in half term. The farm is so well run and there are so many different things to do from soft play, animal feeding, pony grooming, adventure playground, tractor ride, beach area with lots of sand building tools, inflatable bouncy pillows and small animal holding. We took a packed lunch and there were plenty of areas to eat. After lunch we bought an ice cream which was delicious. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Especially the man in the picture, he just about made my daughters day. We were there from 10:30-3:30 and were busy the whole time, it's such good value for money and so much better than other local farms.
