Nice cafe in Lyndhurst, good menu with lots of choice. Little courtyard area at the rear. Friendly family business with good service. We come here quite regularly as we live in Lyndhurst, & as the cafe is towards the Bolton’s Bench end of the village it can sometimes be a bit less busy & so we’re more likely to be able to get a table.

We love this cafe in Lyndhurst. My husband and son usually have the late breakfast and I always have the prawn salad. So many prawns and such fresh 'real' salad - not just 'leaves' - tomatoes, cu, crispy lettuce and onion. Delicious.

I visited this lovely cafe with a friend of mine whilst on a short break to the New Forest . We both had a baguette and a mug of tea..My baguette was a prawn one and there were so many prawns done with lettuce onion and tomatoes and a lovely rose marie sauce . A side salad and coleslaw ..and the mug of tea was lovely and refreshing..all for a reasonable price of just over £6.00.My friend had a brie and grape baguette and there were lots of grapes and plenty of brie... Fabulous. Really nice setting and one can sit in the sun outside and smoke if you so wish or just sit in the sun and eat. There is also room inside and it's a charming place. The service is lovely too.. very nice people .Thoroughly enjoyed my hour with my friend chatting about our 3 days camping enjoying the nice lightbread baguette and the ambiance of the cafe . Would reccomend anyone going to lyndhurst pop on and try it .

We come here a lot as we often walk our dogs in the Lyndhurst area and it never disappoints. The garden is dog friendly and has a small covered area ideal in wet or cold weather. The food is always fantastic - there’s a great choice on the menu - and the owners are lovely friendly people for whom nothing is too much trouble.

The other day me and my friends came to Lyndhurst for a day out and decided to try out a new cafe, as we have already tried a majority of the others. This has to be one of the best restaurants/cafes in Lyndhurst. Absolutely incredible, friendly and hospitable staff and lovely food. I recommend the spicy avocado and bacon panini, as it was delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cleanly. The coffee is also the best in Lyndhurst, there is no point visiting another cafe when one as fantastic and reasonably priced one as this exists. 1000% recommend!!

My first visit to this cafe, recommended by one of our group. I would describe this place as a hidden gem, would be easy to overlook as at the end of the High St and you pass lots of other eateries to get to it. It doesn't really stand out either but once inside its quite welcoming. We sat outside in the small courtyard garden at rear which could do with a bit of attention, a few broken rattan chairs and a few plants that were past there best didn't do it any favours. More plants in tubs would brighten it up and new chairs and some pretty plastic tablecloths would really improve it. Two of us had Croque Monsieur which was served with a very generous salad and it was really very good, good value at £4.95 , the other had a vegetarian baguette with feta and roasted veg and lots of salad, looked delicious and wholesome, same price. We had soft drinks and coffee and hot chocolate to finish and all felt very satisfied. The service was good and staff were very pleasant, I will certainly pay this place another visit when in Lyndhurst and would happily recommend

Made a pit stop in Lyndhurst to look for breakfast, there certainly is no shortage of café's, tea rooms and restaurants in Lyndhurst. This was one of the busiest, normally a good indication. We had a fantastic Big Breakfast that came with an excellent super strong coffee. Good portion size, not too greasy and cooked to order. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced £7.95 for a big breakfast and coffee.

My mum and I have dined in this cafe, twice (December and January) and found it friendly and welcoming with a varied and interesting choice of menu.On both occasions, we chose the mini-breakfast with a cup of tea. This consisted of bacon, sausage, egg, slice of toast and pot of jam (and tea of coffee.) It was cooked beautifully, no oil or grease in sight! And priced at only £4.80, which is amazing value for money - a rare thing these days! The owner is friendly and delivers your food promptly and always with a smile! His establishment is spotlessly clean and the menu offers something for everyone and judging by the other dishes coming out, I would gladly come again and order something else off the menu - as it all looks delicious! He caters for everyone, as there is an impressive vegetarian choice and every dish is cooked from scratch - none of that awful boxed meals that are placed in the microwave! There are books and magazines placed on a table at the back to browse through and also books for children. There is also a delightful sun terrace at the back of the cafe and a toilet which is always very clean and well attended to.I thoroughly recommend the Cafe Parisien and aim to come back again soon!

Stopped here for a cuppa and a cake, when we went in the café was deserted, we sat down at old fashioned French tables, which I know look the part in France, but not quite right here. Staff were friendly, there were biscuits in glass jars on the counter and was asked what they were, but the man behind the counted didn't know and then said he was covering for the owner, so we skipped the biscuits, and just had tea and café, both of which were absolutely spot on, lavazza coffee and decaf tea.

We had breakfast here and the range of items was pretty good. The food was excellent value and service was OK. The menu has more English items on it than French, so if French food is not your thing don't be put off. Whilst we only had breakfast here, there appeared to be a very good range of lunchtime baguettes sandwiches and animi's at exceptional prices but having not tried them I cannot comment on the quality. The location of this café is excellent and if you want a quick breakfast and exceptional value you could do far worse.

A table for 4 booked in advance. Beautiful area in the new forest and the actual restaurant is nicely decorated and has a cozy feel too. You are offered a choice of a la carte or a lunchtime special of either 2 or 3 courses priced quite favourably. We had a three course lunch and wine and coffee. Nicely presented and traditional french service to boot . The menu was very recognisable as classic French cuisine but I felt the main courses we had were visually as you would expect but the flavours were a little “thin” and didn’t deliver that tasty punch I was expecting. The 1st course was great and the desert was superb… A lovely destination and we will revisit.

Visited this place for a Birthday celebration. The two main meals were very nice indeed although we did have to wait over 40mins for them. I think everything must be cooked to order fresh. Certainly tasted like it and no complaints. However I ordered the Eton Mess. This should have contained crushed meringue, cream and mixed berries. What I received was loads of cream and a few mixed berries. It tasted horrible, no sweetness or crunch of meringue. I complained and the waitress returned (having spoken to the chef) with two shells of meringue on a plate along with my original sweet!! Seems like I was to make it myself!! The chef apparently said I can not taste the meringue because he had mixed egg whites with the cream. This in my view is not the way meringue is made and the fact I had eaten raw egg white made my stomach churn. The other dessert was Chocolate and Raspberry tart. This was ok but the only raspberry part were two small ones used as decoration.

The most beautiful views out the back of the restaurant and truly delicious food make this a must visit, especially on a nice day. The one and only downside was the service. We ordered drinks shortly after being seated and after a 30-35 minute wait, our mains came out and our drinks no where to be seen. During this point I also had to go into the restaurant and grab my own jug of tap water and cups. Not great to say the restaurant wasn’t anywhere near capacity. Having checked the bill after I paid I saw that I had paid a service charge included in the bill which I was not happy to pay as I through the service was better in Nando’s!
