Cafe Paps in Stafford

Really good value for money and the food is excellent. There aren't many places like this left. I had the big breakfast which was massive for £7.45. The sausages were nice and the bacon was really thick. Will definitely visit again!

Stopped here on route up North and had the ultimate Survivors Breakfast at such a great rate. Completely sorted us out for our drive, thank you!

I have been a regular visitor over the last few years and and always found the food delicious and incredible value for money. The staff are always super friendly and even in busy times I have not been kept waiting. Best butty in Stafford no contest. 😀

Just been into Cafe Paps for an early morning breakfast. The service was superb the staff where A1 and the breakfast was magnificent. It was the first time I had been into the cafe and it won’t be the last. I don’t agree with the negative review that has been posted Cafe Paps is a jewel in the area.

On a recent stay over in Stafford we stumbled upon cafe paps and decided to try. Was very disappointed. The cafe was cold and made even colder by a very rude member of staff who decided to leave the door open while she went about her errands and when we politely asked if we could shut the door we were nothing but snapped at. This member of staff then proceeded to shout at other members of staff for leaving the door to the cloack room unlocked. The food was under and over cooked. The gentleman who served us was polite enough but when we raised concerns he blamed the cooking equipment. Maybe he could have pre warned us with regards to this and we could have visited again and had a better experience. From the cold metal chairs to the cold custom service we recived we will not be visiting this cafe again.

Lovely breakfast and value for money

The breakfast was appalling it looks like it has just been Shoved into a box the egg was hard and it just looked like a food mess I’m surprised that anyone orders a breakfast from there unfortunately didn’t get pictures of the egg I work in a cafe my self and I would not serve food like that

Five stars is not enough, what an amazing breakfast they serve here, the wife and I had a Scottish Breakfast and usually dubious about having Scottish Breakfasts outside of Scotland. Fabulous, friendly and great value

Lovely Lovely people, popped in on our travels and wanted an awkward breakfast. They made us a fabulous breakfast, the staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend more!

First time trying this cafe and wow yummy food and very reasonable priced menu.I had a bacon n egg sandwich with lots of bacon on and was so tasty.I couldn't believe just how cheap it was at £2.80 and definitely one of the best cafe's I have tried.

We ordered 2 Veggie Breakfasts and 2 Cappuccinos. I called up, ordered on the phone and collected it all within 20 mins! Friendly and cheerful staff. Breakfast was delicious, big portions, hot and tasty!

UPDATE... I used Cafe Paps for the evening. The food was excellent, big portions (even though I ordered small), hot & better value than the major food chains. I can’t praise them more than that. From 4 years ago, Blooming Great. Had food delivered to work. Hot, Tasty, Reasonable delivery time (16 sandwiches/baguettes). Not greasy (like other place) friendly staff and good value.

We usually have Cafe paps for breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised to see an evening menu! The food was excellent, fast delivery and service with a smile. 5 stars doesn’t give the team justice! Thank you!

Incredible food and service my friends and I were fishing locally and had a delivery from this wonderful place it was hot and delicious do not miss out.

One of the best takeaway experiences I’ve ever had. The meat in the kebab and burgers was so succulent and juicy, the flavours were well balanced and appeasing, the customer service on collection was industry-beating and you feel so good after eating the last chilli flake salted fry. Will be returning again very soon.

I called on Friday evening, and ordered a small cheese and tomato pizza, and also a pint of apple juice. Service was, as always, prompt, friendly and efficient, and I was soon driving home to enjoy this meal. It was delicious, hot and tasty, and I look forward to sampling the many other items on the pizza menu in the future. Cafe Paps also now offers kebabs and burgers. Please check the opening hours before visiting; the venue is closed on Tuesdays.

Lovely and clean, the owners are fab always so happy and chatty! The food is amazing! We’ve used this cafe so much since we moved to Stafford, we live the other end of town now but still travel to use these guys as no where else compares.. I only have omelettes now due to dieting but paps make the best I’ve ever tasted, 100% reccoment!

During the November/early December lockdown the enterprising staff at Cafe Paps offer their usual menu on a pre-order and takeaway basis. Orders can be made by telephone, online or in person. Food maintains its usual high quality. Highly recommended. I look forward to re-opening in December for table service.

Sad yes but stay with us. On Friday night both of us had a massive anchoring for a real breakfast. Maccies breakfast was the first go to place however we both decided that we wanted more than maccies offer we wanted a real breakfast sausage bacon egg on a large baguette we did a Google search and found cafe Paps 12 miles away the reviews were good the menu was good so we went for it... Honestly we are more than impressed probably the best takeaway breakfast we have had the food is amazing the staff are wonderful the place itself is immaculate the owners must be very proud. If your reading this wondering where to go you have found the answer. Your Welcome enjoy!!

The cafe reopened today, 4 July, and now offers inside dining in addition to take away food. The venue has been refurbished, and the staff and food have maintained their high standards. I hope that all the any regulars of the cafe soon return... you will not be disappointed.

Another excellent breakfast; for something different I added a Lorne sausage to the meal. this was a Scottish square sausage, made from beef, and imported specially from north of the border. I can certainly recommend this unique item, which I expect is not available anywhere else in Stafford. the staff are very enthusiastic and friendly; parking is available immediately in front of the cafe.

Good value for money. Not in a great location though. Would be much busier in the town centre although they would need to increase prices probably

Called here for breakfast. Came off the motor way as don't like food on motor way cafes. On our way to Southport so came off for breakfast and it was excellent. If ever we come this way again would definitely stop here. Run by a very friendly couple. Excellent.

Have been going to cafe Paps for years. Originally called Jocks. Food always excellent and well cooked. Good range on menu. Excellent value. Eat in or take away. I ring them with a takeaway order and it is ready when I get there and cooked exactly as I like it. Very friendly staff. Closed Tuesdays but open Wednesday to Monday. Would highly recommend.

There are few restaurants, of whatever price level, that can maintain consistently high standards month after month, as demonstrated by TripAdvisor reviews. At many venues there will be a few 5* reviews, than a couple of 1*, and no consistent standard. Café Paps manages to served a high standard of food, with a wide choice on the menu, and the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. The venue is closed on a Tuesday, and is open from early morning until lunchtime only. Highly recommended.

Called them about a order double burger with salad received just the burger no salad all they could say is sorry like last time ordered burger with cheese found plastic inside still all could say was sorry will not be ordering again

I enjoyed my first visit to this venue, and ordered a brunch for £5, It was a substantial meal, all items freshly cooked, and delicious. Unusually a pint bottle or orange juice was available to accompany the meal. There is a wide choice on the menu, and I look forward to visiting again in the near future. A very helpful A4 leaflet includes the menu, location map, opening hours and details of the free delivery service Friday - Sunday for orders over £15. .

Just fantastic. Very happy and welcoming stuff. Well done food. Never burnt or undercooked (trust me I'm a fussy one) but have never found fault with Café Paps. And it's clean which is bonus for me. Enough free parking space.
