Excellent food at a great price. Great customer service

All good, would have been nice to have a hot plate. Option of tinned tomatoes would have been good. Otherwise really nice.

Popular bikers cafe. Not far from the bike carpark across the road Food is good quality, but slightly more expensive then other bikers cafe near by. Quite small inside so have limited seating, chef was not the friendest, but was chatty with the local bikers.

We often go here for breakfast. One of the best around. It's surprising how many places don't let you swap items. My wife doesn't eat eggs so most set breakfasts do not appeal to her. Swapping eggs out for something else is good for her.

Came here to pick up a couple bacon sandwiches to sit out on the harbor to watch the bikes ride by. Great morning and a great bacon sandwich with thick crusty bread. Will definitely be back but to try an actual fry up next time. Friendly staff as well by the way 😊

Great place to eat after a good ride

What a little gaff this is! Went here before a wedding to fuel up and could not have asked for anymore! I opted for the big breakfast which was an absolute treat, all ingredients were fresh and high quality, my friend went for the mixed grill and both meals finished us off, you do love to see it! Massive thanks to the staff as they were simply wonderful too!

We stopped for breakfast. 3 vegetarians and they had lots of options plus were happy to adapt the menu for us. Was delicious!

I'll have to echo what others have said about a cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Great service and great food. Will be stopping here again the next time we visit Rye to sample the rest of the menu!

We came on a Thursday looking for a good fry up and we got that and some. I can hands down say that it was the nicest fry up I've ever had! Staff were really friendly and the food is of excellent quality but doesn't deviate from a traditional fry up by trying to be fancy! I write this from outside the cage as we decided it was so good we'd come back for a cream tea, which has just been placed in front of me so I'll leave this here as the scone looks too good to leave for a second longer :) p.s picture was loading and I rook a bite of my scone while it was yes it was as tasty as I thought!

We had a quick lunch here. Omelette and chips for one, ham, egg and chips for the other. Good quality food nicely cooked. Friendly service. Very much 'does what it says on the tin' and we would be happy to return next time we are in Rye.

Wonderful quayside cafe. Lots of quirky knick knacks on the walls and cabinets, many of which are for sale. But the main star is the menu. We went for a spicy chicken burger and a standard cheeseburger. Both were delicious with double cooked chips that were dangerously moreish.

We recently popped to Rye and thought we would nip in the cafe on the quay, glad we did unlike most establishments t eat in Rye the guys were happy and helpful the food ( again unlike most places in Rye) was reasonable and you had generous helpings , it makes a change for staff to smile and crack jokes whilst giving an excellent service, that’s our go to place for food in Rye all the others can be miserable together.

We go a few times a year, just for a ride out (motorbike) to get a great breakfast and a walk around lovely Rye afterwards. I've been coming here for over a decade and can't see that changing, Trevor and Co have always looked after us :) cheers.

Visited yesterday and had a bacon sandwich. Really nice and good value for money. They didn’t scrimp on the portion sizes. Stafffriendly and good service

We had Lunch here last Friday and the whole experience was excellent. I had a lovely Ham roll and my partner had a lovely Fish Finger roll. Don't walk past go in or you're missing out.

Stopped off here after a long and wet and windy walk to camber castle. I am so glad we did. The place was very clean and tidy. The staff were so friendly and the big breakfast roll terrific, just what we needed. Prices are about right for what we had. They also let us bring our dog in. Will definitely return another time.

Found this lovely cafe whilst staying nearby and liked it so much the first time, we went back again! The food was delicious and well cooked and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended

Very cozy restaurant in typical English style with a rich menu, offering delicious and varied food. Very kind, smiling, friendly and friendly people who work there. When you are there, you feel as if you are a guest of the family, the atmosphere is so cozy and predisposing. An integral part of the color of the city. I recommend!

Only stopped for a coffee, shop was late opening and the coffee was average at best.

We stopped in here today for the first time while out on our bikes. First impressions wasn’t overly friendly…. Menu looked ok, we ordered two 4oz cheeseburgers…. For the price they come with chips! Husband loved his but unfortunately I didn’t. If I had known that they were cooked quite rare I would have asked for it to be well done…. Was no mention of this from the staff. Needless to say husband ate two burgers while I had some chips. Would be good if there were some lighter options available on the menu as not everyone has a big appetite.

Went to Rye for a bike meet. Always go to Café on the Quay. Only have coffee so can't comment on other food etc.

Have been here many times for a coffee when on the bike and parked across the road on the Strand. Always a decent brew. Today no exception.

Have been coming here for years, as Rye is the perfect destination on a morning's motorcycle ride. Free bike parking is available immediately opposite the café, though it's a bit of a squeeze to get between the barrier and the wall if your bike is carrying large panniers.... Anyway, there's a warm welcome awaiting you in the café. In normal times there's loads of seating indoors. In the post covid apocalypse version of 2021, the café operates a takeaway system, though as from Monday just gone, a small outside seating area is available. The breakfasts are great, the cakes are delicious, the service is fast & friendly, and if you like a bit of football-based banter, mein host can provide that too (he's a Man City fan, but you can forgive him this small aberration because he's a top fella)....Well worth a visit.

Freshly cooked to order. Decent price. Local ingredients. Had a lovely meal deal from here as they just started doing Friday and Saturday evenings. Burger with salad and bacon in a brioche bun, onion rings, coleslaw ( best ive had in ages) and skinny fries...oh and a drink. Best money ive spent on a takeaway in Rye in ages! And quick pick up time too. Love the eco burger boxes they are a work of art in themselves. On a freezing evening was just what I needed Thanks.

An excellent breakfast after staying above in their B and B. Although breakfast was included, the prices in the cafe seem very reasonable. Good choices available. Service good And will remember when next in Rye. We were there for the Rye Jazz concerts.

A must at least once when I'm in Rye for a 'full' English breakfast. They have set offerings or you can select your own items or extras. Quick service, rustic interior and clean toilets. Only problem is you need a long walk afterwards !!
