Really good coffee and a great ham, cheese and tomato croissant.

Food lovely, staff very friendly

Chill atmosphere, light and airy feel. Nice staff. Great place to take the laptop while having coffee, right near the Waterfront/Commercial District. We have been going to the sister coffee shop, Rococco, for 10yrs.

I like the place. It’s got nice coffee. The downside is it smells funky. It has an odd, unpleasant smell every time I come here. The tables are also quite sticky

Lovely, cosy cafe on a quieter street but still close to the Liver Building and the waterfront. The overall vibe of the place is very nice, partly because of the tall ceiling and partly because of the masive plants inside. The food was brought to us quickly and was good value for money. Would recommend.

Beautiful cafe with a friendly staff. The chai latte was quite good and the bagel was freshly baked. Good study or work spot.

It's a fantastic brunch spot in Liverpool with a diverse menu to suit various tastes. The coffee is decent but not the best. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great choice for a satisfying meal.

Food very good . Lovely vibe. I didn't like the chai latte but this is personal perspective. And love the professionalism that they provided and offered me some other drink in exchange. 5 stars

The place has quite a bohemian atmosphere which makes it charming and ideal to spend a relax afternoon brunch. The Jack potatoes meal is amazing. The potatoes are very well cooked and soft to the palate, and you can enhance the flavour with butter. The chai latte with soy milk was so creamy just like a latte should be done. Highly recommend.

This little cafe was something different it had a kind of secret garden theme going on with all plants and greenery hanging from the ceiling I loved it.

Lucky to have discovered such a nice café to wash away my gloom on a rainy day. The food and coffee were excellent, particularly the club sandwich and salad. Give it a shot and spend some time relaxing at Cafe Lucaya.

Discovered this place recently. Not usually in that part of the city centre but as we were visiting an attraction nearby we were lucky enough to find it. Friendly staff who served us great sandwiches and a big pot of tea. Lovely looking place full of plants.

Stunning refreshing ambience and a bloody amazing roast of coffee! The food was hearty but slightly underwhelming in comparison.

Lovely space with great decor . It has great selection of sandwiches for lunch time or for a coffee. The coffee is good too. You will have to order at the counter and they will serve the meals at the table but the drinks you will have to wait at the counter for it which is a bit unfortunate if you are with someone else you leave the other person waiting for you for several minutes. The sandwiches are good but quite pricey.

Always use this cafe for breakfast whenever I'm in Liverpool. Excellent service and first-class products. Great selection, must say the for step toast is great and is my go-to breakfast item. It's the only place I'd use for breakfast.

Beautiful tasty breakfasts and gorgeous coffee in a relaxed, comfortable and cosy setting in a historic building and just opposite the famous Liver Buildings in Liverpool. The perfect start to a day.

Came here for late afternoon snacks. Lovely little cafe, great location, friendly staffs and beautiful interior. Ordered latte, pash n shoot and tea cake. Coffee was good, the juice was delicious too. The cake was very average. Over all had a lovely experience.

Amazing cakes (the crunchie slice is my fave) and smoothies. Really good value breakfasts/lunches too, I normally choose a panini or the avocado and feta with eggs! The huge plants make it a lovely atmosphere, just a really chill vibe.

A bite to eat for lunch here with my other half we had the club sandwich it was delicious! Stuffed with chicken and bacon and salad , i would definitely recommend it. Coffee is amazing, all served by lovely friendly staff.

Cute and cozy place to have a morning hot chocolate and work

Lovely space, really comfortable and brilliant atmosphere. The plants are incredible and a great place to get a drink and get lost in a book/relax. Friendly staff, many places to sit and great windows as it’s in a brilliant historic building. Can’t wait to go back. Would be great to have more vegan food options and only issue and thing keeping it from a 5/5 was that it was chilly.

Lovely cafe! The food is delicious, the staff are professional and friendly and the service was great! Went with friends at first then took some family members the second time and both experiences were great. I will be recommending it to others and will probably go again in future.

Not the best experience today. Although the food was decent enough the service was sub par, having to ask for each item of cutlery and each glass of water. Very rigid and unflexible. Disappointing

I'm just having my morning black coffee here and this place is so cosy with great lounge music. It's great to relax and enjoy a nice coffee/hot drink while it's cold out there. A few couches and chairs to enjoy your drink/food. Really great atmosphere. I might order another coffee ;)

This place was a brilliant little find. The food was delicious, served by courteous, friendly staff. It is dog friendly, and not just bring your dog in, but with blankets snd water bowls and even a pupacino available! The place is really well presented and laid out, clean and there is a great selection to choose from including some amazing looking home made cake and sweet options.

Enjoyed my breakfast here although the hollandaise sauce was a bit plain. Staff were friendly. Highlight was probably the huge plants creating a nice calm vibe. I'd go again 🙂

Friendly service lovely coffee and gorgeous cakes

Lovely atmosphere stopped off here, for a few lattes with a group of beautiful people we were visiting from London. My only concern it was a dog café and I didn't read the signs beforehand, I don't do dogs. There was only one well behaved dog sitting on his owner's lap.

Cafe Lukaya has great food and great atmosphere - very cosy with all the plants and wonderful room with high ceilings.

This place is just stunning. I had the best breakfast with fresh orange, coffee and poached eggs with avacado on sour dough toast. Perfect The string of hearts plants are so delightful to see 💚 If I lived in Liverpool I would eat breakfast there all the time. Staff are lovely too.

Good food, nice place would revisit

Historic building with unique character coupled with enormous plants so the surrounding are nice. Menu is limited and the service wasn't great. Although the food was good I wouldn't expect it to be bad considering it was a basic menu.

Sitting slightly below street level, this cafe has a relaxing semi-secretive vibe. If you believe plants enhance a space then you'll love the quite spectacular specimens inside. They also prevent such a tall airy feeling space from feeling impersonal. The menu is perfectly pitched and well priced given location. Similar to Rococo in the centre of town this a genuinely characterful place with a well judged menu and a general sense of care being taken. I had lunch but I will be returning to explore the breakfast menu with anticipation! My club Sandwich was well executed with mayo on the side which is a thoughtful touch and well cooked crispy edged bacon.

Fast friendly service, comfortable space to sit. Can highly recommend the sourdough toast, only £2.50 but four chunky slices dripping in butter.

An inviting little café on the ground floor of one of Liverpool's grand old former office blocks, just across the road from the Royal Liver Building. The sunny room has a retro feel and a variety of seating from comfy sofas to high tables and chairs. Love the big exotic palms and trailing plants that fill the room! Very clean toilets. Great choice of hot and cold drinks and a nice selection of cakes but the lunch menu was limited to breakfasts and poached eggs, sandwiches, panini and salads. Had a toasted panini with chicken, pesto, sun-dried tomato and mozzarella, served with dressed salad and mayo. Good helpings and very flavoursome though the panini was a bit dry for me. The rocky road slice was delicious as was the mocha with lashings of cream. Efficient service and friendly staff, and the lunch was not expensive.

Great cosy cafe tucked away in the corner of Tower Building. If you've ever ventured up the stairs to the lovely Rococo on Lord St for a coffee and cake you can get all the same delicious treats here too. it could be less busy (especially on weekends) and no stairs if you can't manage the steep Rococo climb. It feels like a little oasis of calm in the business district, with various seating options and lots of real life plants. Food and drinks are nice, they have some excellent cakes on the counter and you can eat in or take away.

BLT sandwich is highly recommended, great service. Desserts are ace!!

Cool looking place with huge hanging plants, looked like an indoor jungle. Very peaceful! Great tunes too. The coffee was not bad either. Great to see a new style of cafe in town. Upstairs seating was the place spot for the chilled vibe. Would definitely go again. They also do a good lotus rocky road slice and a nice peanut butter slice!

The coffee was good, a nice big cup of it. I ordered doorstop toast. It was only one round which is unusual and was cold and not what I would call unusually thick The venue was also cold to sit in. My friends coffee was just warm, and her hot chocolate also not hot.

Always a great spot for coffee, brunch, breakfast. Perfect spot for some mobile working too with decent WiFi... Nice staff give it a relaxed atmosphere... Oh and probably the best selection of brownies, cakes this end of town.. huge biscoff was awesome, but different most times I've been in.

Something is wrong with this place. Menu (and maybe the chef or owner has changed?). Terrible tastely and lukewarm food. Hugely disappointing and feel duped by the 4.7 rating. Avoid. They are either old or fake. This is a below average experience despite the friendly front of house staff and charming interior. Avoid.
