Lovely people great food and reasonably priced.

My local that me and my little girls go to most weeks food is beautiful they will cook it how you want it the people who work there are very nice and always look after my girls with chocolate’s at the end

My favourite curry house in South East London. Friendly service, consistently great food, good portion sizes. We've only eaten in once but takeout is regularly high quality (we drive to collect as it's outside of our delivery zone - proof it's good!).

Shop is small, nice, and neat required little push up and renovation Food is non spicy, and it is good and warm, not a taste that you go specially for. But I can't complain about it and say it is bad. Overall, it was okay

The place lacks any “Indian” atmosphere. For some strange reason I am looking at a wall with. Swedish beach huts. Food was ok, portions in the small side esp the nan bread. I had already sat down when I was given the dirtiest or and worn out menu…. Upon leaving the restaurant I made a comment to the manager about the tacky menu … shocked at his answer “ my customers like the tacky / dirty menu. I left saying I will not visit. Imagine what else goes on here.

We use Cafe Eltham not only to go with friends to eat but also for Takeaway meals. They never fail to disappoint with the standard & taste of their food.❤️👏

It has become very bad here. Food is pretty terrible. Chicken is clearly frozen and poor quality, always tough and flavourless. Rice and breads always have some sort of earthy taste or like they have used some sort of disinfectant spray on it. Had bad wind long into the following day after eating. I really don't understand how such restaurants can pride themselves on the poor quality.

Lovely food. Really nice people running the place. Prices are decent and portions generous. Best choice by far in the local area.

Authentic indian cuisine, delicious dishes, excellent value for money with a very good customer service, highly recomended.

I travel from Kent on (at least) a fortnightly basis to visit Cafe Eltham, the food is absolutely incredible and it’s so inexpensive. Well done to all the team, I’ll see you next week

Great to have this place in the local neighbourhood. Really good food. Has some interesting stuff on the menu beyond the usual British Indian restaurant. Would recommend the xacuti, dal and roti.

My Wife and I have been using this place for a very long time, this is by far the most superior food of this genre that we have ever had, absolutely superb,we never go anywhere else as nothing you can get elsewhere compares to the food that they serve here,I recommend booking,as this place is getting more and more popular

Poor experience initially with mixed up take out order, but decided to give them another try. Ordered lamb - instead of a rich saucy dish it turned out to be an incredibly dry tasteless chicken tikka. The pillau wasn't what I expected - rice was dry and chewy - either undercooked or days old. Nothing looked or tasted fresh.

I've used this place for years but I think they have new owners, or completely new staff, and it's lost something in the transition.

This review is for a takeaway so I can’t comment on the restaurant itself, but the food was absolutely sensational, every dish. Even the mango chutney seems homemade. I highly recommend the chefs special dish with lime (I forget the name) and the kids were all over the mango chicken. Highly highly HIGHLY recommended

Went on the off chance they have a table (usually get take away ) staff are lovely food was yummy and place was nice and clean ,really great place for a curry definitely recommend

after a few dodgy meals during lockdown, we decided to give our previously favourite takeaway another go. Oh dear, the chicken in every dish was so dry and hard. Obviously previously cooked and reheated. The sauces as always were great. Such a shame. At these prices, the chicken should be cooked to order, and if it really was, stop 10 minutes before you you actually did.We also used the order online function. So the takeaway was ready when we collected, earlier than suggested. So a bit cold, didn't dare heat up as the chicken was so tough.

I placed an order on Uber Eats, the restaurant called me to confirm my address which I confirmed, he then went on to tell me I have to come down to get the food when it arrives and they will not come up. I told him I have a newborn baby in the flat so I can't and he advised me he would have to cancel my order. Absolutely disgusting.

Hands down the best Indian we have ever had, so many good dishes always cooked to a beautiful finish, nice thick sauces, generous portions and attentive staff. 👌

What a hidden gem , probably drove past this restaurant for many years and this weekend my friends said let’s meet there and it didn’t disappoint Order was taken quickly Great choices on the menu Food arrived quickly and was very hot and plentiful Staff friendly Even had the football on big tv Lovely evening

Food is absolutely delicious. We order once a week and have done for the last couple of years. Always fast delivery and food comes hot and fresh. The chicken tikka balti is so tasty!

Cafe Eltham is an Indian restaurant in Well Hall Road. Adjacent to the Well Hall Tandoori, Eltham Cafe is in my opinion the better of the two, with better, more spicy seasoning. Being relatively local it's a regular haunt. Have always had good service and pleasant food.

Working in the area and wanted a hot roll and tea. 100% recommend the quality of food. Proper size portions, huge french stick, would recommend to all tradesmen as a proper place to get your breakfast .

Came here for breakfast once the cafe had re opened for dining in once the restrictions had been lifted. The cafe was nice and clean, not too busy when I was there which was good. The breakfast was delicious as always

Prices were reasonable, food was wonderful, it was clean and the staff friendly. There was no annoying music playing. That said, due to the current demand (the phones didn't stop) the food too a while to be ordered and then to arrive. This was our first visit and it is very likely that we will return.

Food was late, cold and the delivery driver was belligerent. Awful, just awful. The service was terrible.

Been here loads of times over the years. It’s a nice little cafe that never fails to disappoint. Every time I go in there my order is taken swiftly, the food always comes out in a reasonable time and it’s cooked to perfection. It’s definitely one of the best cafes around.

What can I say my local restaurant was fully booked in rainham Kent so I decided to pay their other restaurant a visit, I must say that the values of what they do are the same in each place, first class food matched by good pricing and great friendly service. I will always support them especially in these tough times as you could not meet a better bunch this will be a place I shall be visiting again, congratulations

The best Indian food we have ever had, we’ve used this restaurant for about 2 years now, always hot, fresh and very tasty, never had a bad meal.... always great, highly recommend, plus they do a loyalty card.

This place is amazing. Consistently great food at extremely reasonable prices. The welcome is warm and friendly from the proprietors. I live 25 miles away from the restaurant and make a point of visiting at least once a month for the mixed kebab starter and for me the best vindaloo I have tasted in England. Keep up the great work!

I have finally found my local Indian restaurant and very near by to where I am. The food is tasty, full of flavours. The dishes can be a bit spicy but you can rest it to be mild. The staff are nice and the restaurant is nice and trendy and clean too. The staff doesn't pester you whilst you are eating which is good. The price is reasonable.

A regular haunt of mine for both eat in and take away, Put simply the best Curry house in the area.

I have been going here for years on and off,it's a lovely restaurant, with very accommodating and friendly staff. The menu is large and there is plenty of dishes to try from. The samosas are good and the curry I get never disappoints, I wouldn't say it's amazing but I also could not complain, and for a local curry house I think it's pretty good, it's always hot,never oily and always has a lot of taste. They always offer a drink for free after your meal which is very sweet and a nice touch. The coffee they serve is really good aswell so can be a good way to end the meal.

Friendly service and good food keenly priced. They are good with children too. The chilli garlic paneer is superb!

I have travelled the World. This place is the finest Asian food that I have ever had anywhere. The Staff are fantastic, they know what they are talking about, their Balti dishes are to die for. Don't drive past this place, go in for a life changing experience. I use this place twice a month. I do not go anywhere else. Simply the best

Only place I order my Indian from, not sure what's happened but it was just not the same today, spicy more than normal, and forgot my bottle of Coke which I had already paid for 🙄

Unusually poor, took longer than expected to turn up and was cold, so had to microwave. Normally a lot better maybe one of the best in the area, so it is a shame to have such a poor experience.

Wow that came fast!! It arrived 15 minutes before the arrival estimate (which was great because I was very hungry) and tasted yum! The good was hot, tasty and well cooked! Thanks guys, much appreciated!

Fue servido con una sonrisa y estaba bien caliente y llena de sabor.El pollo Korma era muy buena y muy generosa en el pollo, que estaba perfectamente cocinado y tierna y el korma era suave y sazonada perfectamente.El precio era razonable.Plato favorito era el champiñones rellenos, pero era muy bueno y no como la mayoría de los indios son pesadas. Not impressed normally food is really good but tonight it was extremely disappointing meat was dry and naan was like cardboard. Taste like left over food that had been sat there for hours and reheated

I really enjoyed the food but it was incredibly salty and even 2 days later I was guzzling water! I love the spices and how it's cooked so will be going back but I do feel it needs less salt!

Enjoyed: - Food was delivered early and it all tasted freshly made - Yes!!! At last a Palak Paneer which is pure Spinach and Paneer without a yellow creamy sauce!!!! This was delicious, light and moreish - The Gobi Bhaji also had a delicate flavour - The Spicy begun tasted, again, delicate and the oil used was light, which is not always the case with this type of dish. Delicious. - Hardly any visible oil - All of the food was very delicately spiced. Whoever prepared this food has shown care to allowing the core ingredient to shine through without over power it with too much spice. Clever cooking - The vegetable curry that came with the biriyani was well made and delicate tasting! I could really taste the individual flavours. There just seems to be care taken in the spicing of everything here Did not enjoy: - It is hard for me to say anything negative about this meal that I did not enjoy because it was so well made. I have a couple of minor things which are a little picky but again, they did detract from enjoying the meal. - The aubergine chunks in the Spicy begun were too small for my personal taste, but they were plentiful - I would have liked more chilli. Again, this is personal taste and not a criticism. Summary: Excellent. This is the best take away I have had in South East London. I always end up trying different places through constant disappointment, but Cafe Eltham is the first place in a long time that I will want to try again and again and again.

Its been my local for a few years, very nice and reasonably priced, as good as anything in blackheath but not as expensive. If you eat in the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good when busy. I mainly get a take away and there are no complaints, food arrives fresh and on time. Exactly what I would expect from a takeaway...
