Was greeted at the door on arrival the staff are very pleasant and friendly the cream tea was amazing such a lovely experience will recommend to freinds and family and will definitely return in the future

I have never had a bad meal here the food is excellent and you have a good choice of food would recommend this to anyone.

Worst experience of my life! Parked in cafes private bay with full intentions of eating in after going popping into screwfix first, within no longer than 2-5 minutes we came outside to see who i only presume is the owner, standing by putting a traffic cone behind my car, wrote a disgusting note and left it on my wind screen wipers and was threatening to clamp my car. As you can imagine after we longer wanted to at the cafe and said we would leave, i gave her the note back and all she did was make patronising remarks. Absolutely disgusting i’ll make sure everyone knows what a vulgar women owns this place

Have been coming back and forth for a on/off for few years. Always fantastic!!. Brought my little girl for lunch today and if i could give them more than 5 stars i would ! Incredible food, service and atmosphere as always.

Interesting place. Used to be so popular but place was pretty empty. Don't feel welcome when you arrive. Kitchen was a shambles and dishes everywhere.

Was seated quickly, as luckily there was a spare table. Would advise a quick phone call and book not to be disappointed. Food was cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious. The high teas and cake looked great, will defo be back to sample these. Highly recommend

Lovely lady running the cafe. Good food. My friend was a little disappointed in her mushrooms on toast as there were actually very few mushrooms involved. My cheese and chive mash didn’t actually include chives! However they had only recently reopened so can be forgiven for not having all they needed. Have had a very good breakfast here in the past. My only gripe with this cafe if your in a rush/ calling in on way somewhere, your going to be late. Service is very slow. The food takes quite a while to come out from the kitchen. We weren’t bothered because we were there for a good catch up anyway. But be prepared for a wait.

Unique cafe with wonderful view and a warm welcome from Julie and the team. Always great food, including a quality breakfast all day with generous helpings. Afternoon tea also has a lovely variety and again generous. Recommended

Booked on two occasions. Cancelled both bookings. I had two disappointed children at Christmas, the tea with santa was literally cancelled an hour before. I also never received a refund. Unreliable

My daughter and I went there today for afternoon tea (paid for by my grandson for Mother’s Day) it was stunning staff couldn’t be more attentive. The food was all homemade .. Relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be going there again

What an amazing experience. Took my daughter for her 3rd birthday treat. The decor was lovely. Staff were friendly and chatty which was lovely. You had to pre book the afternoon tea but they made her one up as it was her birthday which was amazing. They put happy birthday on in the background and made a massive fuss for her birthday. She was made to feel very special Can't wait to return and definitely recommend.

We have eaten in cafe darcy a few times, the cafe uses quantity ingredients for cooked breakfasts, friendly service at reasonable price.

The most gorgeous afternoon tea, the sandwiches were amazing, the scones huge. Endless supply of tea and coffee, could have requested more sandwiches but couldn't eat all of what we were given. Fantastic hostess who couldn't do enough for us and a fabulous setting with wonderful views. Highly recommend this place, I will definitely be back

Cafe Darcy prepared and delivered a lovely buffet for 50 people. All delivered to Glynneath on time. The quality and presentation was excellent. Would definitely use them again

Best breakfast in the area thick bacon from butcher we had gluten free bread but they do bloomer bread with breakfast. Coffee oat milk and soya milk. I'm a big eater but failed on the large breakfast

What a beautiful unassuming cafe!! We had a window seat, and a solid table. We went as it opened at 9am it was quiet and staff we friendly and welcoming. Food was very reasonable and comes with a hot drink. We had a large and vegetarian breakfast. Freshly cooked and tasty. Definitely recommend a visit, so handy just off the motorway.

Always a warm welcome. Great food cooked fresh to order. They even substitute sausages for steak when they’d sold out and didn’t charge the extra!

The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the lack of gluten free food on offer. Great place to eat, great quality food at a great price. The staff are brilliant and the place was spotlessly clean, you're shown to a table after it's been sanitized, cafe is on a upstairs floor, I'm not sure there's a lift so pleased ring them first, there is plenty of disabled parking around the back. This is a great place to visit.

Just off motorway and well worth stopping for. Good range of food on menu, though we just went for cooked breakfasts. Afternoon tea at another table looked good! Incredibly welcoming staff, made to feel very welcome. As we left we also discovered they feed the local paramedics, so tip generously!

Had lunch here with my dear friend who I hadn't seen for 18 months. Gentleman who served us was very patient with how long we took to order due to catching up with each other. Lovely selection on the menu and relaxed atmosphere. This is going to be our regular lunch venue and have already booked our return visit.

We booked afternoon tea with colleagues from work and what a treat it was!!! From the moment we arrived we were literally treated like royalty. The customer service was second to none and the food was outstanding. The presentation was beautiful and every single thing tasted amazing. The venue was immaculately clean and good consideration given to covid regulations. We all agreed that this place is a keeper and we will be returning very soon. Had a complete surprise when an afternoon tea arrived for my birthday. This is the second one we have had and both were faultless. This one was presented on a tiered display with a cone shaped covering trimmed with ribbon and tissue. It looked beautiful....

Stopped for a delivery lunch today whilst working in the area. Ordered Sausages, eggs, chips and beans. Service from Julie and the team has always been top notch, you wont find a nicer and friendlier bunch of people, who work incredibly hard and clearly enjoy their work. The food, wow! amazing. Had our 2nd afternoon tea with a beautiful array of a multiple selection of sandwiches, quiche, pork pie and chicken sticks. These were followed by a variety of desserts approx. 7 of them, varying from strawberries, 3 different sponges, chocolate eclairs, raspberry cream tart etc.You would have a hard job to search for a better Afternoon Tea and I have tried many, from large hotels to select cafes. Cannot praise enough, many thanks for the prompt delivery service too.

Ordered VE Day celebration tea for my two children and wife to be delivered whilst I was working on a COVID ward in hospital , Julie and her team gone above and beyond and have excelled in our expectations - the food provided first class, let alone providing for special diet allergies and certainly will be visiting once lock down has been lifted

So In the middle of Covid, This cafe have has been a major support in keeping Neath ambulance station on the go, going out of her way to help, have to say best bacon butty ever. Excellent food very good service

Having known the owner for some years previously to this I already knew what it was going to be like. It exceeded our expectations, we were waiting for an appointment, only had two drinks as i didn't fancy food (felt bit nervous about appointment). 5* service! My ONLY regret is that I'm not in the area enough to make regular use of the cafe....keep it up Cafe Darcy, your customer service is 5*, interior is really lovely....commented to my husband that the decor was fabulous!

What a gem of a cafe in the Shaw Trust building at Llansamlet. Lovely staff. Welcoming surroundings. Employing adults with additional needs. Giving them a purpose. Good coffee AND they are providing a buffet for the training I’m delivering. Drop in if you are near J43 of M4. It’s a couple of minutes off the junction.
