Cafe Corvina in Falkirk

The food was amazing. Service was fab. The only thing I would say is the portion size isn't fantastic considering the price of some of the dishes. But that's just me picky. I absolutely love this restaurant. One of the best in Falkirk.

I really wouldn’t have expected to have found such a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant in Falkirk, but we did. Amazing food, generous portions and fairly priced. Service was great too with busy, friendly waiting staff.

Much anticipated return visit. Staff very helpful and good banter. Food was as delicious as I remembered. That salmon & prawn pasta mmm. My friends pizza looked amazing, not a crumb left. Delicious glass of house red to go with my pasta dish. This place is definetly worth the drive from Glasgow.

I called to order takeout last night, just a pizza which came to 10.50. After ordering I was told cash only which I advised I am 2 minutes away from restaurant and only have card. I have ordered the same a few times with no problem by card so thought this would be fine again. I was then told the machine was broken so had to he cash, found that strange as my family were in the restaurant at the time and paid by card so I questioned asking is it because my order is to low? To which he replied yes partly because of that. No mention on website of a minimum spend. I said I will have to leave it as I only have card and I was rudely told “just use just eat in future” in reference something I can afford, as a customer for a number of years I will not be back.

Food was absolutely delicious, served quickly and the staff were very friendly, really knowledgable about the dishes (I’m veggie) and helpful. Lots of vegetarian options. Had a really lovely evening and will definitely be back. Tiramisu was amazing.

Fabulous restaurant, great for a meeting point fir friends between Edinburgh and Glasgow, excellent food and service.

Booked for Mother's Day for 7 of us and the waiting staff could not have been more attentive. High quality ingredients were evident in the taste of all our dishes, as was the skill to make them. We all had something different and to hit the mark in each individual case is nothing short of remarkable for it's novelty when compared to our recent experiences in various chain restaurants. A fantastic evening was had by all and we expressed our appreciation to the staff upon leaving. We will return, perhaps for a family gathering when the weather improves.

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch today for my daughter-in-laws Baby Shower,the staff were lovely friendly and attentive and the food was so so tasty best carbonara I've tasted.

4 of us there for my sons birthday, we got a booking no problem at lunchtime. But it did get busy.. They were Pleasant, we received our drinks quick and ordered a main meal only which arrived without waiting to long. Everyone enjoyed their meal but for the price we expected more, we felt it was expensive. We asked for our bill and paid. After leaving and at home we checked our bill of £93.50. We found written at the bottom of the bill an optional service charge of £8.50. it wasn't Optional because we weren't asked. Surely Optional means we get an option (asked)

Fillet steak was fantastic. Service is second to none. So friendly.

Excellent menu as we were torn between pasta and pizza. The sharer option was perfect and a really good portion too. The pizza base was light and typically 'italoan', along with the toppings. The carbonara was mouthwatering and even better with the parmesan and touch of black pepper 🤤 very very good! All accompanied by a glass of Montepulliano and of course served by a great team of very tentative staff! Thanks guys!

Absolute beautiful, rustic, and yet modern Italian cuisine in the heart of Falkirk. I find it Something of a hidden gem amidst all the fast food options. Wonderful attentive staff who want to make your experience both enjoyable and memorable. Perfect ambience-warm lighting that is neither harsh nor overwhelming. Amazing food of course: No cutting corners here. All ingredients are fresh and it shows. There is Such a lovely atmosphere at all times and very chilled music of a gentle, familiar feeling. Nobody Is having a bad time and there is always a gentle bustle about the place. I always enjoy my food from here irrespective of how I get it - I knew sitting in would be lovely , just didn’t know it would be so heart warming an evening for myself. I didn’t want to leave. I can imagine it would be beautiful to go with friends, family: I know my partner would love this place and I will bring him one day. I come once a year whilst on modelling business but plan to be visiting as often I can. Thanks “Jasmina”

Great food and attentive service.

This is a really nice Italian, with excellent décor and service. The food was amazing. We had pizza and a pasta dish and was among some of the best we have had. Servers were attentive without being intrusive.

I genuinely cannot complain about a single moment of my experience at this restaurant. Fast and attentive service, friendly and helpful waiters. Food was devine, worth every single penny spent on it, the quality was evident with every single bite. Due to current dietary requirements, I had to request an ingredient be changed in my chosen meal, and there was no fuss about it. Just a simple and easy, almost as if I'd have just asked for it as it comes on the menu. Tasted absolutely perfect. The other members of my party were also incredibly impressed by the quality of their food. If you have the spare cash to spend, I fully recommend Cafe Corvina to those in the Falkirk area.

Locale semplice (non a livello di un ristorante) e rispetto a questo prezzo un po' caro. Però il cibo era buonissimo (pollo scozzese e una fantastica cheesecake) e il personale veramente accogliente. Eccezionale anche la focaccia.

Food is absolutely beautiful. Staff lovely. Great night out. Everything I had was fantastic but LOVED the cheesecake!

Food was nice. Very over priced though for what you get and no presentation at all. Literally a bit of steak and handful of chips on the plate. Not even a bit of bread or anything with the soup in a stupid bowl. Service was fine but adding on a service charge of £16 is shocking meal was £171 for 2 of us. Always leave a tip but adding on 10% to the bill without even asking is just rude. Won't be back

Food was great, very nice to have a place like this in falkirk however. When me and my boyfriend visited we were sat at the table next to the mirror, this was an issue due to the amount of fruit flys allover the mirror. this was further made an issue because we had wine this resulted in us needing to ask to change table.

Went for late lunch. Food was amazing. I had veal with mushroom and tarragon sauce. Will definitely return.

Delicious. Thats what we think of the food. So good. And our server was really good! His recommendations were good. We tried the procuito melone, bruschetta, porcini mushroom, arancini was bomb. The medalion risotto is a must! All in all what we had pictured were good!

Taken for a business lunch, restaurant looks like a place that serves high quality authentic fayre. What arrived on the plate can only be described as a dog’s dinner. How the managers and servers can continue to put food like that down in front of paying customers is second only to the disbelief that the cooks (definitely not chefs in here) can sleep at night with the level of disregard they have for their job. Something tells me that the Food Standards Agency would have a field day here.

Food was fantastic, service was mediocre, I'd say you needed extra staff to give the more personal touch, we were left standing at the door on arrival without being greeted, staff were very efficient and pleasant, but were too busy to give you the attention. My 1 thing that I abhor is a service charge added to the bill, and for that reason I shall not return, yes I know you can not not to pay this, but the bill was promptly taken away, as if to disguise this, maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it felt. It is quite expensive and we expected better service to reflect this. If you remove service charge and give a more personal experience then I would gladly return and recommend this place.

It was just an average Italian food. I've tried seafood risotto, and my partner had a veal, which was just a little portion on a plate. Service was just fine...

The food here is outstanding and the table service is excellent. Only complaint I have is that whenever I go there on my own I'm greeted as if a solo diner is a major burden for them. Once seated, though, I always have a top notch experience. Oh also at busy times it can get very loud.

Took my father for the first time for an early Father's Day gift and he loved his steak! The service and food were particularly good and can recommend this fabulous restaurant. It's a big place, it has 2 bars as I recall and has a small outdoor part too for good weather eating and drinking.

This restaurant accommodated 10 of us with very short notice and the food was excellent. Staff were wonderful.

My first and last time there. Ordered salmon&prawn pasta and got ham pasta with undercooked prawns. And pizza looked like the dough was baked and they put raw veggies on top. Said it would be with cheese but it wasn't. I did not like it. Very basics and overpriced.

This used to be one of our favourite places but the quality of food is not what it used to be whilst the portion sizes have also been reduced. Then there is the prices. I know that costs have gone up but it is so disappointing that the quality has gone down. It is clear that there has been a change in Chef and it shows. The chips are not the same either and that is basic stuff.

Was given a gift voucher for here last year which we thought we better use up, on checking it stated only 6 months validity. I thought it was likely over 6 months however the date had been left blank. I rung up to find out the date and ask if any way we could extend. I presume the owner or manager answered the call, he was rather arrogant and abrupt. Checked the date and it was over a year, so that was that he said, hard luck basically. I told him I feel it is really not right for places to take money from people for vouchers then not fulfil the purchase. Perhaps years later but just over a year later is ridiculous. Ireland actually has a law which prevents gift vouchers from expiring for 5 years. He made no apologies however, then hung up on me. Perhaps if the gentleman had been in any way apologetic or remotely sympathetic, I would not have been so offended. He could have even said, ok you can use half or something, any kind of good will gesture would have been appreciated. Especially in light of the fact I could have filled in any date I liked and simply gone ahead and used it. However honesty doesn’t get you very far with the dishonest. I actually have eaten there before a handful of times and for the purposes of giving a proper review I would add the place is ok, just the usual average Italian, nothing exciting or memorable. Perhaps this is why we didn’t rush to use the voucher. I definitely would not recommend buying a gift voucher - treat the recipient to somewhere a bit more classy instead.

Tagliatelle papalina was very bland, no seasoning and very greasy. It was meant to be with a cream sauce but there wasn’t any. The pasta itself was not good quality pasta, very grey and translucent. Disappointed.

Went there for a birthday lunch. The food was excellent and the service very good.

I loved this Italian restaurant. It does the important things right. Service was very fast but we didn't feel rushed. Even without a booking. I can't think why we haven't been before but I am sure we will be back!

Such a lovely cafe in the heart of Falkirk . Best Italian I ever had . The wood fired pizza , pasta , dessert , drinks everything is lovely here . The food is soo good . Nice vibe in cafe corvina. Staff are always on hand & very friendly. They are knowledgeable about their food. Meals are tasty, cooked fresh. GF pizza’s are a bit dry. Pasta dishes are tasty. Cocktails are ok. An expensive treat.

I'm not big on Italian food so when I go here I always have the fillet steak... Medium rare. It is always awesome! Of the places in the area this is my favourite for fillet steak. Always service with a smile aswell.
