Read the other reviews so thought would give it a try.My daughter went for her 18th and was so glad she did.She said the food was fantastic, staff friendly, Pimms pitchers perfect and the atmosphere great for a night out.Thank you, will definitely be back

Went here for some lunch with my girlfriend really friendly staff and food was to die for and not overpriced for the area would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back when things are open back up properly so can try some off their other menu items

Brood is a family run restaurant that is part of the Borough Market complex. Brood mainly serves typical Mediterranean dishes and will leave you amazed by the quality of its ingredients and the good smell that their open air kitchen emanates through the alleys of the market.I had their Borough Burger (not on the website menu) for a quick lunch in the city. The Borough Burger is a huge hamburger made of a grilled veal burger, chunks of chorizo, stringy cheese and a little of tomato and green salad. I didn't order the fries convinced they were included, given the modest price of £9. To be fair, I was disappointed when I realised they weren't served with the burger, but in the end I was grateful I didn't have them, because this burger is VERY filling!I loved everything about this burger: the slightly crunchy ciabatta-style bread instead of the usual mushy bun that gets soggy with meat juices, the well-cooked, top-quality meat (perks of working close the market) and the spicy twist given by the chorizo ​​at each bite!

I went for a drink and an after work snack at Brood last night on a rainy October evening. We stumbled across this gem with its gorgeous outdoor fire heaters and lovely bar selection. We sat outside and it wasn’t cold as the big fire heaters kept us warm. We ordered Aperols which came in lovely big gin glasses and tasted gorgeous. We ordered the Paella which was probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted! It was a good sized serving with prawns, mussels, chicken, chorizo, all sorts! Really friendly team of waiters. Would highly recommend for drinks, causal dining, a date, a catch up, all occasions! Fab location and setting. Couldn’t fault. Thank you!

There are so many people looking for a job, who have great customer service skills! I would suggest hiring people who are friendly and actually have customer service skills. It has been a long time since I have met someone so rude!!

Y cuando el servidor calvo me preguntó si quería paella con ella, ¡estaba "Hell Yeah"! ¡Era Que Rico! Era un poco picante, ¡pero valió la pena! Mi esposo pidió un sándwich en el restaurante de al lado, pero estaba mirando mis albóndigas y finalmente accedió a compartir. El niño se tomó una paella pero compartió unos trozos de chorizo con él. ¡Todos estuvieron de acuerdo en que mi almuerzo era el mejor! Definitivamente volveremos de nuevo. Y servidor calvo eras una delicia. Amigable con todos. Pero, ¿puedes ponerte una máscara? Quiero que se mantenga sano y salvo para mi próxima visita.

Paramos para almorzar camino a la Tate Modern. Entre dos de nosotros tomamos la paella y un wap de chorizo y gambas, junto con algunas bebidas del bar de comida exterior. Mi envoltura era un poco difícil de comer debido a los jugos de los ingredientes y la cantidad de relleno y finalmente tuve que volver a usar cubiertos para comerla. El chorizo estaba muy ahumado y sabroso, y las gambas estaban muy bien cocinadas. La hija dijo que la paella también estaba buena. Buen lugar, buena comida y personal amable.

This is a perfect place to try out London street food even with Spanish flavour! Very delicious, cold beer, funny customer service...love it! Highly recommending! Make sure to add beer to the chorizo as it’s hot :)

Service is great, food is even better. The box meals are absolutely fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. Chicken is juicy, chorizo is perfect and the halloumi is to die for. Wee bit pricey, but worth it everytime.

Myself and my friends decided to go for a couple of drinks on a Sunday afternoon, I cannot even begin to describe the appalling service we received. We were told we’re not old enough to receive drinks (even though we’re all over 18!!!) and we should not be drinking at all until we receive a degree qualification! One of my friends was shouted at that she was not old enough and should be studying instead, and compared her to his wife! So rude! I have never been served by Such an arrogant, malicious man, I have no words. I shall never return again!

We went last night with a few friends, the food was delicious - grilled meats, dips, amazing breads and salad. The service was faultless - drinks came almost instantly and our waitress was lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Das Cafe BROOD kommt bei Touristen und auch Einheimischen recht gut an. Einen Besuch wert! Die Speisenauswahl ist auch zu empfehlen. Das Essen ist sehr gut … Hamburger, Paella oder die Wraps.

Comimos en este puesto durante nuestra visita al mercado de Borough. La comida en general mala, las patatas refritas con aceite de hace mas de un mes. Los camareros muy estupidos. La comida muy picante. Y el chorizo ni nombrarlo. No volveré jamás. Ufff.

Was there recently....ok so service was a bit slow on a busy Friday night but the food rocks!. Hummus is some of the best I ever had. Burgers are tasty as well

I have been eating here on a Sunday morning for years so I thought it only right and proper that I submitted a review. The food here is consistently good. The menu is varied and the ingredients are of a high standard. I also eat here because the service is ALWAYS friendly and courteous. I recommend Cafe Brood without reservation. It’s great!

Awful service, the waiter is the most unpleasant guy ever. I would definitely avoid this place. There are other nice places around.

Me detuve allí para comer mientras caminaba por el mercado municipal. Todo estuvo bien. Tuve su plato especial que parecía ser una ensalada con chorizo, queso halumi y algunas verduras. Brood found space for our group of 12 at short notice and produced an excellent meal. The atmosphere was great, too (helped by the balmy August evening) and service was friendly and efficient. Wd definitely return.

Just passed by and smelt the food and fantastic atmosphere, had to stop. It was my husband's 50th birthday and heading to a fancy restaurant but could not resist this place. Food was fantastic, service fast and friendly, very busy and noisey but so worth a visit. Fantastic!!!!

Spanish inspired food at the borrough market, actually hard to find as its at the end, or the beginning depending where your passing. food was super good. had the Catalan stew which made me think I was in spain--wanted to try the paella but will save that for the next time im back. will be back

Signaturburgeren med chorizo til 9.50 var varm, sprød og smagfuld til den stærke side, mens Hot pot#1 med lamb köfte, hallumi, ris og salat - og chorizo, også toæ til 9.50 - var velsmagende og vel tilberedt. Servering var hurtig, prisen rimelig og kvaliteten høj. Her må du også gerne spise mad fra andre spisesteder.

I went there cause the place looked nice but... the manager was absolutely rude with everyone (stuff and customers). I asked if I could get chorizo as topping on my chips and he said I would have paid 8,50£ more. So chips and chorizo were gonna be 11,50£. I told him (the manager) to get just chips and he started talking about what I ordered was so cheap and I should have bought something else, then he didn’t let me pay with card and I left. It was absolutely the worst place where I could go.

Perfect little spot in Borough Market, BBQ style foods which tastes delicious! Good atmosphere, lovely little seating area out front, perfect on those summer days with a drink of their pimms or sangria.

Walked past a few years ago and didn't stop to eat. After about 5 years I have found it again. Sitting here now having just eaten paella and meat balls. It was worth the wait and was great. Will I be back. Certainly will. Tomorrow I think. Borough Market is a must visit when in London

Visiting London, we stumbled across Brood and decided to try it out. The Catalan stew was delicious and my hubby said the Borough burger was very good. It had a great vibe too. We have no complaints about the staff as they were polite to us.

Great restaurant fantastic atmosphere queues were a bit long but worth waiting for as cooked as ordered and very fresh and tasty hubby had lamb wrap and it was huge full of lamb one would have been ample chips delish and the veggie burger really good with a fresh tasty bap

Visited Brood today with my daughter. Lovely staff, great food, lovely atmosphere... will definitely go back.

I usually prevaricate between many restaurants in a trip advisor radius. Tonight I walked passed Brood. Saw a couples food, mainly the potato Bratva? (Basically fried potato with sauce). It looked good and the I liked the design of the menu and the idea of a Chorizo burger, note: this is a burger WITH chorizo!

After visiting The Shard we came across this great place for an evening meal. Atmosphere was great the staff are brilliant and the food was fantastic. I never thought we would be dining outside in March. Well worth a visit.

Nuestro lugar favorito para comer en Borough Market. Siempre tengo la caja de arroz de cordero y azafrán para 10. El arroz con azafrán es divino. Mi compañero siempre tiene la paella que está llena de pescado, mejillones y chorizo. Nuestra única crítica es que hay demasiado chorizo tanto en las cajas de cordero como en la paella. Nos sentamos afuera y disfrutamos de una cerveza fría o aperitivo con nuestras comidas y es un gran lugar para disfrutar de todas las vistas, olores y ruidos de este fabuloso mercado.

Abbiamo mangiato una paella con chorizo accompagnata da una sangria niente male. Il servizio all’esterno e’ fai da te, fai la fila prendi il cibo e lo porti al tavolo. Dappertutto devi vincere la confusione.

Was Visiting London with friends and come across this place and decided to have a drink and snack here. Very Busy place long queues and not many free tables we sat outside Food was good portions good huge bowl of chips and average prices for London.

We stumbled across this lovely place while walking back to the station,lovely surroundings and amazing food! We opted for the Brood meze and wasn’t disappointed.

I don't know what the fuss is about below, but we had a a great Chorizo burger with a huge bowl of chips - with super fast and very friendly service. I would recommend this place if you are in Borough Market and want a quick, in expensive bite.

If you want to actually be served the correct food, do not go to eat here!! The staff are horrible and have no care in the world about their customers. I needed something and there was no one around. The staff look like they hate their jobs.The owners must be forcing them to work!

We ordered the seafood & chorizo paella and so did the table next to us. When the food arrived, ours only had chorizo but the neighbouring table had chorizo, prawns & calamari. We asked the waitress if both dishes were the same and she said they were. When we pointed out we were missing the seafood she gave that don't care attitude, went to tell the chef and some other staff. No apology, no follow up and no seafood!! We got cheated!!!

Ordered seafood paella, got chicken and sausages. Asked a waitress to help, she tried to tell us it is how it is. We pointed to the neighbouring table with paella full of prawns and calamari. She turned around to talk to her 2 cooks, they reached an agreement to leave things as is. We were too tired to argue and finished our meal. We paid, we left, and on our way out, we saw calamari cooking on the hot plate for the next paella. And we got schooled on how the incas and aztec were conquered.

The smell of delicious food cooking drew us in as we were walking back from Borough Market. We stopped and had the veggie wrap and paella. Both dishes were really tasty and were good generous portions. Friendly service here and a wonderful ambience. There are lots great vibes of multicultural London. Brilliant

Living close we have walked by several times. On a whim decided to have dinner here tonight. We ordered a gin tonic, the only issue I can come up with is that they were out of Bombay Saphire, one of my wife's favorites when Tangueray 10 is not on the list. We then ordered the Brood Mezz for 2, which was the right thing to do. It came with Tzatziki sauce, cocus, a tomato dish and a large basket of tortillas (greek style), then a huge plate with various grilled meats. All a carnivore could ask for. Service was fast efficient, we sat outside. Everything clicked tonight.

Sitting outside on a warm summers evening is something that cant be taken for granted in London. We ordered the meze sharing platter which was lovely. Only snags were that the service was quite slow and staff weren't particularly helpful, however the meal itself was lovely and very reasonably priced

Para los que no conozcan esta expresión, cero pelotero, significa que algo es muy malo, deficiente o es, simplemente, terrible. La comida no es española y puede ser un insulto a la gastronimía española. Que ponga música en castellano y tengan platos como la paella con chorizo picante o croquetas de jamón serrano congeladas no es sinónimo de comida española. Varias de los platos estaban agotados pero que casualidad un mix de varias carnes tenía aquellas partes de la carta que nos indicó que no tenían como el pollo o la ensalada. Un capítulo especial se lo dedico a la camarera que nos atenido. Era antipática, nada atenta y mal educada. Como remate la cuenta, siete personas mal comidas, por 112 libras. En la cuenta no se indican los platos sino unos números por cada plato. Como dice un dicho español: “a robar a Sierra Morena”.

A chilled outside restaurant with lovely food! You can have a quick bite to eat or drink, or stay for hours, which is what we did!

Cold, wet and tasteless paella. If you’ve had proper Spanish paella and enjoyed then avoid this as it’s a poor substitute for the real thing.

Fuimos a dar un paseo por la zona del puente de Londres una noche encontramos este restaurante muy concurrido y buena, así que pide una mesa, se sentó y pedir una cerveza y la paella. La cerveza vino frío y sábanas, ahora tiempo para la comida parece genial mal sabor malo de calamar, pollo, gambas y chorizo seco y sobre todo cocinar. Nadie vino a preguntar sobre si todo está mal!

I’ve personally worked in hospitality for over 10 years and I have to say this is the WORST experience I’ve ever had. Sat down ordered food and 2 pints, young lad came back with the drinks had a sip and knew it was flat straight away so we told him and he proceeded to go to the bar and pour half away and top it up and bring back another two flat pints, when we said that they are still flat his response was that’s just the way are here so I replied well we don’t want them it was only until a more senior member of staff returned to say just change the pints. When he came back all he had was an awful attitude even stating that we were being rude by sending back two beers FYI the new beers were still flat but drinkable. The food was also very poor we ordered 5 tapas dishes that came out sporadically. Halloumi awful chewy layered on a bed of warm salad, chorizo cheap and chewy I’ve had better pepperarmi’s from Tesco, patas bravas tasted liked kebab shop chips covered in spicy BBQ sauce , croquettes tasted like they had instant mash in the middle with zero Iberican ham. The only thing remotely edible was the padron peppers, we ate some of the food as we were starving but honestly would of been better going to subway. Didn’t bother raising to management given the quality of service we’d already received. Absolutely awful do not go here waste of £45 quid.

Sat down and immediately was asked if we were going to order more than a coke. After commenting that all four of us that were going to order Pimms but now we felt uncomfortable with this presumption and wanted to leave we were told 'ok then'. We then sat at the restaurant next door and we're confronted by four employees after moving an item of rubbish from that table. Staff incredibly rude and glad we did not give them our money. Great staff at Whiskey Ginger next door!

Un rincón del Borough Market en donde puedes probar alguna delicatessen similar a la que tenemos en España. No es lo mismo, pero se asemeja y tiene un toque de fusión con otras costumbres. Las raciones eran grandes, así que fenomenal para compartir.

Nuestra familia está de vacaciones en Londres. Tras una larga mañana de senderismo y turismo estábamos intentando encontrar un lugar peculiar y único para un almuerzo tardío. Descubrimos la cría. Este era un patio al aire libre para un simple almuerzo familiar. Recomiendo encarecidamente!

Fuimos a Borough Market que buscan pasear y visitar todos los vendedores. Por desgracia estaban todas cerradas para las vacaciones. Hambrientos y desesperados por algo que se abrieron descubrimos Cafe Brood. Asientos al aire libre y la paella, llamado a nosotros. Nunca había paella en España, pero este era uno de los mejores que he tenido. El chorizo era increíble! Humo y especias fue justo. Adjacent to the Borough Market just down from London Bridge, this is a great spot... especially on a nice sunny day. The Paella is really good, £8.50. Pitchers of Sangria were £20.

Pasamos por la cafetería camada mientras camina al mercado de borough, y yo coincidimos en spy en una mesa un plato de patatas bravas te que parecía bastante buena pinta! Así que después de nuestro pequeño paseo por el mercado, nos volvimos al café de la cría y ordenados algunos bocadillos. Mis amigos tenían un langostino y peces, y tuve el tentador dijo tomar las típicas. Labios smackingly - bueno!

近くでやっていたマーケット（たくさん屋台が出ていました）の帰りに店頭にあったサングリアがあまりにおいしそうで寄ってみました。飲み物だけの利用でもいやな顔をされず、外のテラス席は快適でした。他の屋台で買ったスコッチエッグを隠れて食べていたのですが、そのゴミまで片付けてくれたのは嬉しかったです。

We just happened to pass while heading somewhere else but said we must come back. The food smelled and looked lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. When we returned we ordered a jug of sangria for £18 and sat in the beautiful sunshine. Really lovely. We didn’t eat in the end as it seemed to finishing up but would definitely return.

Fuimos a Brood en una tarde muy ocupada el viernes. Llegó muy recomendado por amigos y no nos decepcionó. Empezamos con una jarra de sangría, si que era delicioso. Luego tuvimos algunas tapas y terminamos con una paella. Regularmente comer tapas y paella en España y este era tan buena si buscarle la mejor. Muchas gracias a Brood para un almuerzo de cumpleaños encantador, hizo que yo y mi marido muy bienvenido.

Had box with lamb, chorizo, tzatziki, salad and it was just perfect. Smiling staff and lovely sangria made us feel very welcomed. Fully recomended!

Wow what a breakfast find. Me the wife and 2 kids loved it. Potatoes chorizo egg. What’s not to love. Great coffee and the kids loved the thick hot chocolatier. Will try in the evening next.

Paramos con nuestro nieto de 7 años para un té. Tuvimos el enrollado de pollo, falafel y halloumi envoltura y hamburguesa vegetal. Las envolturas eran increíbles, lleno y sabrosa. La hamburguesa estaba en un gigante brioche bun. La hamburguesa vegetal no era casera pero era bueno y tenía un montón de ensaladas, etc. También probamos las patatas fritas y patatas bravas te que eran muy buenas.

Had a really nice glass of mulled wine and hot cider here. That kindly let us eat our food from the market at their tables while drinking their drinks. Very pleasant and very nice people. Next time we’ll eat there too as it looked good!

Un lugar en el abarrotado mercado bororugh Sólo un lugar si quieres sentarte, munch algo y ver las multitudes. El resto de los puestos de comida en el mercado eran mucho mejor. El personal no era muy amable. No te sientes como si estuvieras aquí. Mal ambiente de ellos. Hace que uno considere este comportamiento es normal británico grosero. La comida también es caro comparado con otros lugares de comida similar clasificación. El menú puede ser engañoso y la comida era todo basura y no muy sabroso. No lo recomiendo.
