Love the authentic food and its vegetarian friendly. It will be so much better if atmosphere is lighten up e.g a little background music. Will be in my food list when I'm visiting Belfast again in near future.

I’ve been there three times so far, it’s just a really good and cheap Korean restaurant! The staff is adorable, and they make good coffees! I would definitely recommend that place.

Their bibimbap and stews (soft tofu, kimchi..) are the go to ones. They have the nicest bibimbap so far. The others dishes on the other hand were just okay.

I love Korean food but this place is very average, compared to other Korean restaurants in the UK. Portions seem quite small too. The main appeal for me is that it's the only Korean I'm aware of in Belfast.

I am surprised at such high reviews this cafe garnered. Bland oxtail soup. Kimchi soup, well its like red water? Jajangmyeon is not jajangmyeon at all. Its not even korean food tbh... the bibimbap was decent though.

The mandu and ttopokki seemed to be more chinese style than korean. The kimchi chigae was ok but a bit expensive for a meal from a packet. Also sticky rice is widely used in korea but the rice at this cafe was more like basmati rice. Overall the food was ok and worth a visit for something different.

There's nothing better than feeling like an adventurer in your own city. This is how I felt this evening when I visited Cafe Arirang for the first time to try their Korean cuisine. It's nothing fancy to look at and Arirang could probably do with a bit of a facelift in terms of interior decor. A coat of paint would brighten this cafe up. However, visual appearance is the only thing I can fault this eatery on and such things never bother me, especially as the food was delicious, fresh, colourful and filling. Wandering in off the street and never having tried Korean food before I didn't have a clue what to choose off the menu. There are Belfast favourites such as traditional fry ups, breakfasts and sandwiches available but I don't see the point in visiting a Korean cafe just to eat such food. So I had a look at the main Korean menu and the helpful Gentleman behind the counter assisted me by directing me to the Vegetarian options. On his recommendation I ordered Bibimbap a dish of various vegetables, boiled rice, soya, sesame oil and fried egg served sizzling in a hot stone bowl. Along with it on the side was a little bowl of kimchi and a bowl of spicy sauce. My server advised me to break the egg up, stir it through the ingredients in the bowl and add kimchi and sauce as I wished. It was DELICIOUS. I'm raring to get back to eat more Bibimbap and to try other Korean dishes. Would highly recommend Cafe Arirang as a lovely change from the norm and an unpretentious little spot which serves great food.

This restaurant is rather unassuming from the outside and the furniture does look like garden furniture. There menu is a mixture of standard British food and they have an entire Korean menu. The food is lovely and authenitic and the lovely family that run it are brilliant and very attentive. The staff are lovely. A great independent little restaurant to support in Belfast

I visit Café Arirang frequently and quite often the other patrons are eating sandwiches and I just want to say to them ‘try the Korean food!’. The usual lunch fayre and fries are fine but there are plenty of places you can get those, this is the only legitimate Korean in Belfast and boy is Korean food good.My favourite dish is bimimbap – a hot stone bowl with rice, meat, veg and eggs. After a while the rice at the bottom of the bowl goes crispy and it’s delicious! It’s also very healthy and filling. The bulgogi is wonderful too – tender meat in a curry type sauce with onions. On my last visit I tried the chicken wings. The fried chicken I had in Korea was the best I’ve ever had. It’s focused on the crispiness of the skin but the flesh is still juicy. Café Arirang’s are second to none and far better than I’ve had in any Chinese restaurant in town.If you work in the area, give it a go for lunch. I’m sure you will become a regular customer.

Work in the area and had rang to pre order lunch to sit in @ 12.20pm for 12.30pm.. arrived promptly at 12.30 - 12:40 still no lunch. No biggie but when you only have 30mins it's frustrating. Food was fine but very expensive mini fry & coffee (1 sausage 1 bacon tiny soda and potato bread and a poached egg) £6!!. Could have went further up botanic and had a full fry and coffee for the same. Wont be back. Place is also freezing.. no working/on heating on in the premises.

I love their chicken wings sooooo much I'm always craving for them! It's v crispy and love the sweet sticky taste to it! It's the only place in Belfast that still do stone bowl rice .. Their pancake is perfect size, wish they can do kimchi pancake or seafood pancake too, the menu is very limited but still v tasty... Really hope they can do more! They have a ginseng tea where they offer you to serve with honey, it's very nice!

I LOVE Korean food and this is the only place to get it in Belfast. If any restaurants in Belfast try to say they serve a korean dish they are most likely saying it's a chinese dish with some Kimchi. This place is a genuine as you are going to get in Belfast. The owner and his wife are Korean and they are lovely. I usually order Bibimbap because I miss it now that I'm back home. I prefer a runny or raw egg with it but they fry it here but I'm fine with that. you can get Bulgogi, Kimchi Chigae and lots of other korean dishes. They serve other things like frys and sandwiches which is obviously to cater to the non adventurous eaters and the lunch time crowds but I would love them to be full time korean and to highlight korea more in the interior. That aside it is a quiet and hidden gem. You can buy kimchi to take home and they do seasonal dishes which are usually great. Don't expect gourmet, just great korean food in a basic cafe style place. They have space upstairs which you can book out for a group and the owners are really accommodating and helpful. Give it a try, try something new and say Annyeonghaseyo (Hello) to the owners. A little pricey I think but it is worth it for me.

The food is tasty and the staff just lovely and friendly. If you dont feel adventurous enough to try some Korean food ( however I fully recommend that you do!) Arirang has a great menu of the usual cafe treats.Belfast's hidden gem!

I love this place, its a bit odd as it serves sandwiches and fry ups but ignore all that and order the Korean food. I was in today and had the fried dumplings to start, big and delicious! I cannot recommend the Bibimbap enough, a traditional dish that is rice and vegtables and meat and egg served with red bean paste and off course kimchi (which is great despite being pickled cabbage). I had the Korean Ginseng tea with honey to help the digestion. This place is all about the food, it may look like a regular cafe but give Korean a try (I feel so strongly as i am the first to review it!)
